NFL draft experts almost universally hated the Seattle Seahawks' 2012 Draft:
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr., the guy who invented the NFL Draft pundit business, gave the Seahawks a C-.
Sports Illustrated's Chris Burke gave them a C.
The NFL Network team of analysts gave them a C.
Let's see: our 1st round pick Bruce Irvin had 8 sacks (and he was also the 1st first round pick to sign a contract too) our 2nd round pick Bobby Wagner Jr. had 140 tackles and 3 interceptions our 3rd round pick Russell Wilson threw 26 touchdowns to tie the rookie record (not bad for a 3rd round pick ) our 4th round pick Michael Turbin is one of the best backup running backs in the NFL Somehow I think the draft experts who gave the Seahawks 2012 draft grades of C and C- were wrong. Mel Kiper Jr. even actually said at the time that he thought the Seahawks had the worst draft among all NFL teams. Seahawks 2012 draft was a solid A!

Although I have not gone to sleep yet, today is the day.
Both the Seahawks and Redskins are great on offense but I give the edge to Seattle on defense and on special teams. But Washington also has a significant advantage playing at home (the Seahawks have not won a road playoff game in 30 years- 1983 at Miami.)
I was hoping this would be a Saturday game since I have a front row seat this afternoon to FSW's Sam Town show (Kenny King, Willie Mack, Brian Cage are all wrestling today at Sam's Town!) My plan is to watch the first half at home and then drive to Sam's Town at halftime to watch the rest of the game which should end about 30 minutes before FSW's opening match.
Go Seahawks!

Halftime with the Redskins up 14-13, but the Seahawks battled back from a 14-0 deficit.
Time to drive to Sam's Town to watch the 2nd half and then go to FSW tonight.

RG3 is hurt and his run is neutralized. Skins defense can't make tackles. At a Skins party right now and it's pretty intense with no score since the half.

Drafts are always a crapshoot. At best, a lot of it is pure guesswork on who develops.
Go Hawks.

I'm glad the Seahawks won and I have a feeling the Redskins might have a injury plagued RG3, but in the end Seattle won this round...

I am really excited about the Seahawks winning their playoff game today even though I missed part of the 2nd Half. Thankfully their next playoff game next weekend in Atlanta is on Sunday morning and not Saturday so it won't interfere with me going to PWG on Saturday.
Do you guys think the Seahawks can defeat the Falcons in Atlanta next week?

Was thrilled to see the Redskins in the playoffs, but didn't expect them to go far as they still have some holes to fill. Wish Griffin could have been at 100%, but that's the way things go. He's created more excitement amongst Redskin fans than anyone in the past 10 years. They did beat Dallas twice, so I still consider this a successful season. As for the Seahawks, I'm not a big fan of Marshawn Lynch as a person, but he can play ball. I think their chances against Atlanta may depend on the health of DE Chris Clemons.

unfortunately Clemons is out for the year with a torn ACL
he is being replaced in the lineup with this year's 1st round pick Bruce Irvin who led all NFL rookies in sacks this year
