Impromptu, Multiplayer COTGonline Tournament!
The Alpha Test for the new Game Table went live today, so we played some COTG. That's kind of why we did the whole thing. We took each of the eight GWF wrestlers available in this Alpha Test - Birshop Hell, Ensor, Rush, Swarm, Thraxx, Tricks, Turmoil, and Zygon - and just kind of randomly threw them together into an eight-man singles bracket.
We had a tourney, so how about some results! Token counts are with each wrestler in the results, and fatigue was carried over from round to round. Here's how it all went down …
Opening Round
Thraxx (BDS) vs. Turmoil (Wildfire)
Thraxx dominated most of the match, overpowering Turmoil. The Gladiator would not be denied, though, getting the upper hand on the outside of the ring and then hitting TOTAL TURMOIL for the quick turnaround win!

Bishop Hell (BDS) vs. Tricks (Wildfire)
Bishop Hell absolutely punished Tricks. The clown managed to kick out of one HELLFIRE, but was done in by a second.

Ensor (Wildfire) vs. Rush (BDS)
This was a really quick and explosive match, both men hitting big moves early. Ensor got the win after hitting his finisher twice in a row.

Swarm (Wildfire) vs. Zygon (BDS)
Total squash for Swarm, who put Zygon down on his back quickly then ended it with a single WASP TRAP.

Bishop Hell (Barnestormer) vs. Turmoil (Wildfire)
This matchup was epic! Turmoil hit his finishers over and over again on Bishop Hell, but the Bishop kept kicking out time after time. Finally, after hitting his finisher for the SEVENTH time, kept his opponent down for good.

Ensor (BDS) vs. Swarm (Dharneth)
Another quick squash for Swarm, who put Ensor away quickly with a WASP TRAP.

Swarm (Osk) vs. Turmoil (BDS)
Turmoil came out like a house of fire despite his earlier injuries in the tournament, attacking Swarm for all he was worth. He took every risk, diving from the top rope and out of the ring every chance he got, but eventually went to the well once too often, missing a deathjump. Swarm immediately capitalized and hit a WASP TRAP, but Turmoil kicked out! Swarm followed right up with a VENOMOUS STINGER to win the mach and the tournament!

It was a great time for everyone! We had a ton of fun rolling the dice and just hanging out when we were interrupted by Kris to debate the relative merits of some LOW guys. Hooray for being able to do this from my desk!
