So I've been testing and playing the new game table all weekend. I enjoyed the old one online, but this one blows that one out of the water!
I'm proud to say that I pretty much play exclusively online with the exception of cons. If you have been on the fence about cotgonline, get off the fence and step on over to the darkside! The new gametable is what we've needed from the get go...it can only get better.
Order your sets, get on board and start playing...I know it's not the card/dice we're all used to, but it's just as good to me in my opinion. You can play it anywhere: Home, work, in the car, on your phone, you name it!
Your support is much needed to keep the online gaming alive for FG. Just like a card set, once you buy digital, it's always yours...now we can play vs. other people with the AMAZING multiplayer system incorporated. Go on, have a con from your own home without buying a plane ticket, motel or anything else!
Did I also mention that it's all FREE?!? No subscriptions, no anything, just purchase your sets and you're on your way!
You won't be sorry that you did...

I've always loved the game table and use it exclusively with exception of CHIKARA and GWFZT, since they're not online.
The only thing I'm not fond of on the new table is that the moves don't pop up over top of the artwork. The way BDS explained it, sacrifices must be made for all the other advances, so that the use of Flash doesn't effect the game play. Sacrifices must be made!
All and all, it's still my favorite way to play.

Thrilled at the feedback this weekend during our first live test! To say it was a success is an understatement.
This was posted by an Online player (who I don't believe is a member of this Board)...
(6:04:18 PM) watchman: hey, please post my remarks on the FG board..I played several matches on here against several other guys and LOVED THE EXPERIENCE!!! The beta was smooth, the chat was lightning quick, interface was spot on and everything from the layout to the chards, card setup, etc was very easy to use and understand....KUDOS to all involved and I am looking forward to playing this on a daily basis more than any xbox game..lol thanks very much!...

Oh I guess I should chat too. While I haven't played anyone else yet (timing has not been my friend), the new game table is a lot of fun. I watched some people running some awesome matches and I can't wait till more wrestlers are available for it.

I love it. With all due respect, the original game table is nice but it's the exact card and dice experience in digital format. If I want that experience physical dice and cards are and always will be superior. Frankly, I own a lot of online stuff but up to this point I've mainly rolled the matches with cards and dice and just used the stat tracker to keep track of things and organize cards.
The new game table is something completely different. This weekend I was part of a tag team match with players from all over the country. I was able to chat about the game in the lobby and during the matches on the game table. THAT is an experience that will keep will keep me both buying product and playing online.
I echo what Avarice wrote: if you've been on the fence now is the time to jump into the online playing world. Plus, I've got plans for a Torneo Cibernetico at some point when the new game table officially goes live and I'm going to need nine other players to get involved.

So I'm just not getting it. I've always played CotG solo and really don't know anyone else who plays. Assuming that's going to continue, how do I use this game table? For every wrestler "fetched" i get a new tab. So do I have to keep switching back and forth on the tabs while trying to follow who's doing what in the little move tracker? Is it not possible to have 2 (or preferably 4 for tag matches) wrestlers up at one time?
I'm hoping I'm just missing something and I'll just feel like an idiot for missing out on the obvious for how to use this thing, but right now, it's just too much switching tabs and stuff.

Yes, you're missing something. But that's okay because the info is found in a few different places. According to BDS, the original game table will still be there for the foreseeable future. He also talked about a solo version of this one with two cards showing up at once to eliminate the multiple tabs problem. Either way, I honestly played a solo tag team match using this method and had no problem once I got the rhythm of it, but a six man tag was too much to handle solo.
Also, coordinating with other players is easy if you use these forums and the chat lobby at cotgonline. Looking at it that way you know LOTS of people who play. I played matches with people I've known both personally and through the message boards for years and people with screen names I've never seen before.
At any rate, this was just the alpha test stage of the multi-player game table and not the final "this is it, take it or leave it" version.

I have had a blast the past few days playing with the Game Table. Even though most of the peopke that I talk with on the boatd live no where near me, thr GT allowed me to play against them. I tend to play solo most of the time fir my feds (actually use thr pbp sim A LOT), but it is always nice to get to play against another promoter. The other cool thing is that I played from my Galaxy Tab and LG Vortex all weekend. Making the game very portable will give us more options than we had before. Kudos to everyone involved, esprcially BDS for the insane coding needed. Looking forward to playing more and where online is going. Online will help the game we love grow more and more.
