Fantasy CHAMPIONS?

Weird idea. Not sure if it would work or not.

What is we had a Fantasy Season for COTG the same way Fantasy Football works?

* Let's use 12 managers (promoters managing teams of wrestlers) for the example

* We have a draft. Roster could be whatever - GWF, LOW whatever the commish that season decides.

* Every team drafts (for example) 4 singles guys...2 to challenge for the GWF Title in the Main Event ranks and 2 to challenge in the I-P ranks...and 2 tag teams to challenge for the tag straps.

* The commish pre-books the season (setting up managers vs. manager like a schedule). Call it 15 weeks, one card a week, all 12 teams face each other in a series a matches once a year. 2 singles matches, 2 tag matches...4 total. Managers have to decide who to use that week and who to "bench". This is an added strategy based on what your opponent may do among other things...

* Point system can be super simple - based on wins, losses, DQ's. Call it 2 points for a win and 1 point for a DQ win for example.

* In the end we have an Impossible Tournament type playoff with top 4 teams (best overall records).

* All this would be using online. Commish would auto-sim all cards.

Would this work or not? I can't tell.

Some friends and I have done it for a long time, and it works really well. We didn't do it quite that way, running it less like a sports league and running angles and promos and such, but it was really fun.

I think it would work. You could even have the Commish set it up as a fed on Online and just leave it open.

Actually, I think it is a great idea, and one that could really join the community together. Now, about that Turkey on a Pole match....

This could definitely work. Just needs an organized and committed commish and a good group of people to play!
