Saturday Night Slam - #1 - Houston, TX
World Heavyweight Tournament 1. Killer Kowalski b Jimmy Snuka. Kowalski dominated Snuka, picking up his first nearfall with a shoulder breaker. Snuka came back with a big knee drop, but Kowalski kicked out at two and delivered another shoulder breaker for a second nearfall. After trading chops outside the ring, Kowalski lured Snuka back into the ring where a CLAW HOLD was waiting for him.
World Heavyweight Tournament 2. Bobo Brazil b Greg Valentine. Brazil tossed Valentine all over the ring, pummeling him at every corner. "The Hammer" almost put Brazil away with a quick school boy pin, but Brazil kicked out and began to lay on the COCO BUTTS! By the fifth one, Valentine was busted open and seeing stars, allowing Brazil to get the fall.
World Heavyweight Tournament 3. Harley Race b Ox Baker. Race and Baker fought ruthlessly in and out of the ring, but Race proved to be tougher. The end came when Baker whipped Race into the ropes; Race surprised Baker with a small package on the rebound for the quick pinfall!
World Heavyweight Tournament 4. Nick Bockwinkel b Buddy Rogers. Both men were even-matched throughout the match. However, Rogers rammed Bock into the ring pole multiple times to slow him down. Rogers then dominated most of the match, but Bock came back with the crowd's help. In fact, as blood flowed from Rogers' forehead, Bock slapped on the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER for the submission.
World Heavyweight Tournament 5. Killer Kowalski b Bobo Brazil. To quote Jim Ross, this was a "slobberknocker!" Brazil and Kowalski came at each other like wild, hungry dogs. The COCO BUTT couldn't keep Kowalski down! The CLAW HOLD couldn't finish Brazil. However, after working Brazil's neck and shoulder over, Kowalski hit a last ditch shoulder breaker for the 1-2-3!
World Heavyweight Tournament 6. Nick Bockwinkel b Harley Race. Both grapples spent the majority of the match trading blows, but Bockwinkel took over the second half. Bock worked over Race with the Boston Crab until successfully applying the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Race reached for the ropes... but he was too far away... and he had to tap.
World Heavyweight Championship 7. Nick Bockwinkel b Killer Kowalski. Right after the last match, Kowalski hit the ring and brutally beat down Bock. The match was not looking good for him, and Kowalski was sure he would beat Bock. After multiple Bombs Away knee drops, Bock was busted open. However, out of nowhere, a blood-soaked Bockwinkel applied the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. Kowalski fought it off as long as he could, but he eventually passed out. Nick Bockwinkel became the first WCWF World Heavyweight Champion!

I really enjoyed the old school, smoke filled arena, bloody action feel to the card.
Is the Tag Team Tournament next?

This looks to be a fun fed Dustin and I love the modified logo, this'll be fun to see how it all unfolds. Too bad Kowalski lost, but there is a chance that he'll bounce back...

Saturday Night Slam - #2 - Dallas, TX
Singles Match 1. Ox Baker b Ken Doane. Ox made very, very short work of Doane. He got Doane's attention with a clothesline right at the sound of the bell, picked him up by his hair, and then finished him with the HEART PUNCH. Luckily, Doane was able to stagger away from this without injury.
Women's Match 2. Christina Von Eerie b Sherri Martel. Even the men in the arena were into this match, and it wasn't because of the boobs. These two ladies gave it their all, especially CVE, who had to hit three FACE JOBS to finally pin Martel.
World Tag Team Tournament 3. Steve Corino & Kevin Steen cor Bryan Danielson & John Pesek. Corino and Steen dominated Danielson and Pesek, particularly the "American Dragon." Corino kept him away from Pesek and nailed him with the OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION. Danielson kicked out, but Steen came in and delivered a PACKAGE PILEDRIVER. Once again, Danielson kicked out. In the end, Corino and Steen powerbombed Danielson off the ring apron and he couldn't make it back to the ring in time.
Singles Match 4. Killer Kowalski b Koko B. Ware. Kowalski toyed with Ware at first, but the "Birdman" rolled him up after he missed a Bombs Away knee drop. Kowalski kicked out and gave Ware a shoulder breaker to take the pinfall. Kowalski then shot a promo on Bockwinkel, telling him he would be "clawed to death by the Killer!"
World Tag Team Tournament 5. The Vachons b The Valiant Brothers. Both teams wrestled like well-tuned tag team specialists, hitting multiple double team moves. However, in the end, Butcher and Mad Dog were able to hit a surprise attack on Johnny Valiant for the 1-2-3! Jimmy Valiant wasn't able to make the save.
Non-Title Match 6. NICK BOCKWINKEL b Afa, Jr. Bock softened up Afa with a Boston Crab first. Then he applied the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK, but Afa got to the ropes due to his strength and power. However, Bock quickly finished Afa, Jr. with the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. Lastly, the WCWF Heavyweight Champion made sure to address Kowalski, telling him that he'll "put the Killer to sleep... for good!"
World Tag Team Championship 7. The Vachons b Steve Corino & Kevin Steen. It was a long back-and-forth match that refused to stay in the ring. Corino and Steen kept Mad Dog away from the tag, but Butcher eventually came in and cleaned house. This allowed Mad Dog to rest before coming back in and finishing Steen off with the PILEDRIVER. The Vachons became the first WCWF Tag Team Champions!

I like the fact the Dragon took a beating and kept on coming. A one on one match with Corino would be great.
Nice win for the Vachons.
Great build to Kowalski - Bockwinkel. Let's hope they can deliver in the ring.
