This thread is dedicated to my favorite NBA team the Los Angeles Lakers.
Who else here likes the Lakers?

Used to be a big NBA fan, but I find the current one-on-one style of play a complete turn off. Watch the finals, but that's about it. Was a Lakers fan back when Wilt Chamberlain was there at the end of his career. Matchups against the Bucks, who had young Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) at center were classics. I continued to follow the Lakers, and was stunned they drafted Magic Johnson when they already had Norm Nixon at point guard. That worked out pretty well for them though. Back then my favorite player was Kareem, followed closely by small forward Jamaal Wilkes, who always seemed to be wide open in the corner and would bury his corkscrew jumper.

I've always been an LA Lakers fan. I don't watch much NBA though. When the Lakers are on usually I'll put it on the tv and watch in the background. Playoffs I'll pay more attention to.

I'm not at all a Lakers fan, but they are a Historic franchise and that History is what has made the NBA's past a good thing with LA being a Top team for many years. It'll be interesting to see if LA can sign Paul & Howard to make their own Big 3, but the State of the NBA is still not that good but it is what it is...

Long time Lakers fan especially because of Magic. Hoping they land Paul and/or Howard.

Magic Johnson is my all-time favorite player. Loved the 80s teams. It was great cause my dad was a Celtics fan so we got to go back and forth in the finals. I have signed basketball cards of Gail Goodrich, Byron Scott, Michael Cooper, Pat Riley, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Norm Nixon, also some signed photos from Jerry West and others.

I don't think the Lakers have enough trade assets to be able to get both Dwight Howard and Chris Paul, but I think they could get one of those two.

The Pistons obliterating the Lakers in 5 games was one of the most memorable sports moments for me ever. Lakers have always made great villains.

Huge Lakers fan...first and ONLY NBA Team i have ever cared about from way back when i was 5 or 6 years old.
Funny thing about Swarm's comment on the Lakers being great villians...to those of us from/in LA the Pistons were the Villains all through the late 80's. Just dirty.
BTW...If the Lakers Paul/Howard it will be awesome!

I'd say the entire country except Detroit looked as those Pistons teams as "dirty" or bad boys. Hard to decide which I would want more - Howard or Paul.
