BUT…..
After the match, Rock refused the win and the tournament spot. He said, “No no no no NO! The Rock doesn’t want to win like that. The Rock doesn’t want to get in the tournament just because some orangutan tries to poke a hole in The Rock’s skull. (LWF GM) Bill Watts, come on out here RIGHT NOW, so you can talk ONE ON ONE with The Great One!” Watts got in the ring, and Rock said, “Bill Watts, The Rock doesn’t care about the spot in the tournament. What The Rock IS interested in is proving to the MILLIONS (pause) AND MILLIONS of The Rock’s fans that The Rock can beat Kevin Sullivan on a level playing field. So, Mister Watts, Mister General Manager, when you have your last four Elite Eight matches next week, you can have one more. You can have Kevin Sullivan against The Rock in a match to determine that spot in the tournament … and it will be All Weapons Legal, Falls Count Anywhere, Hardcore as Hell, and whoever … and The Rock means WHOEVER … wins that match, whoever can still walk upright, will be in that tournament. What do you say, Mister Watts?” Watts thought for a moment and said it sounds like a good idea, but he’d have to take it to Sullivan and get him to agree to it. Rock said, “You do that. You talk to that demonic SOB, and tell that rancid piece of pie he’s got walking around with him that, if she tries anything, The Rock has something for her. And, it’s NOT going to be The Rock’s strudel. The Rock will beat Kevin Sullivan, The Rock will be in that tournament, and The Rock will be the next challenger for the World Heavyweight title. IF YA SMELLLLLLLLL … what The ROCK … is … cookin’!”
After the commercial break, it was announced that Kevin Sullivan has agreed to The Rock’s proposal, so, next week, it’ll be Sullivan versus The Rock in a Hardcore Falls Count Anywhere match, with the winner taking the last spot on the Number One Contender tournament.

A recap package was shown of the battles between Kevin Sullivan and The Rock. In both matches, Rock won via disqualification when Sullivan used a spike on him. After last week’s match, which put Rock into the tournament on PPV, Rock refused, saying he wanted to beat Sullivan to prove he deserved the spot. That led to tonight’s Main Event, a Hardcore Falls Count Anywhere match, of which the winner will be in Sunday night’s tournament. And, as a reminder, Rock said he would have a surprise for Sullivan’s valet, April Hunter.

Suddenly, sprinting from the dressing room came Jazz, and the hometown crowd erupted when she jumped Hunter and started pummeling her. Referees and security dragged the fighting females to the back, leaving Rock and Sullivan on their own. Chairs and tables were used, and both men were bloody before Rock hit his finisher to win the match. Rock is now in the tournament Sunday night on PPV.

After a commercial break, Bill Apter was in the back, where Duggan was being loaded into a waiting ambulance. LWF GM Bill Watts said the paramedics told him this was routine, since, because of head trauma, Duggan needed to be examined at the hospital. As the ambulance was about to pull away, Magnum ran up and demanded to ride to the hospital with Duggan, telling Watts he didn’t know why he did what he did, and he wanted to apologize to Duggan.
