Oh I agree with that. And I don't think we should be paying for anyone to do anything they can be doing for themselves, but again my issue here goes to the fact that if that is what the government wants to do with my money then that is their business, not mine. I am not directly giving anyone money and indirectly giving someone money doesn't give me the right to tell them how to spend it. Are there people out there milking the system, yes. Should the system be changed to try and close up the ways people can milk it, sure. Should we end the programs because of the milking, no. Maybe food stamps should be more like the WIC program. I don't know if that is a nation wide thing or just a Texas thing so I'll explain. WIC allows families to get things that they need for food when they have children or are pregnant. It can only be spent on certain items and you only get so much of each item and those items are things like milk, eggs, bread, fruits and cheese and the like. What could be considered "basic necessities." Maybe they should put some kind of limit to how much you can spend per item on food stamps or something. Cause yes, in the end it does suck that someone else on food stamps got lobster and steak and I eat Hamburger Helper and hot dogs.

If it was mere window dressing, the idiots on the right wouldn't be talking about it 24/7 instead of the real issues like, I don't know, maybe improving the economy. I guess it depends where you get your news. If you're talking about TV, I wouldn't know. I study mostly financial areas. A lot of that other stuff is imo more for the masses, like all the mud slinging commercials aka last resort campaigning. Where do you think jobs come from? That's what Liberals never seem to understand. Big business is bad and greedy, yet their the ones supplying all the jobs. Way to shove anyone who thinks differently than you into one group. I guess those liberals who make $75,000 a year are also college students living off TV dinners or living off the street looking for hand-outs. Nothing covers all people. That should go without saying. The statements are made based on majority.

I like business. I like jobs. I like having a job. I'm not a big fan of companies (oil companies for example) that post record profits while the price of everything else goes up because they want to make a little more money. If you have so much extra after all is said and done, why not open more refineries, create some jobs, pay your employees more. All I'm saying, if they wanted to create jobs, they would be creating jobs they would have been creating them in the first place and we would never have had an employment crisis. Just an observation...

Cause yes, in the end it does suck that someone else on food stamps got lobster and steak and I eat Hamburger Helper and hot dogs. The point is steak and lobster does not go hand and hand with hardship. And that's a real pic. That's reality. And you are right, what the government wants to do with my money then that is their business, not mine. But when it's being used by druggies, smokers, alchoholics and bitches with 10 kids working the system then that's a big problem. And it's a problem when the ones non-affected by it (middle class) stand on the sidelines and yell at rich folk to take care of poor folk. Meanwhile middle America man is checking out his facebook page on his iphone while he drives his nice car to his favorite sporting event. Next time make a quick stop at the welfare dept and hand out 20's. Tell me how good it makes you feel inside.

I do actually feel bad sometimes that I have food stamps and have money to get stuff like FG products and whatnot, but those I do save for. Sometimes a philanthropist will voluntarily step forward and buy people FG sets in exchange for productive community service...no government mandate required.
