I'm quite prepared for any backlash this may cause but I'm just throwing this idea out there. I wonder if any thought has been given to Tom re-approaching Vince/the WWE with a pitch for an official WWE version of the game. It seems now the WWE is on everything, belt buckles, lighters, etc. I wonder what the reaction to the pitch would be now.
Just think with all the libraries the WWE owns, the legends we could get in the game.

I figure that the amount of money needed to get this done or even the fact that McMahon would want a part of the company would rule this out.

It would be amazing!

Well, Vince wouldn't get part of the company. He'd get licensing fees, but the WWE doesn't own part of Jakks Pacific for the figures or whomever makes the video games. Yeah, they'd get licensing fees though, which could be a bit.

I'd be extremely scared of the Licensing Fees WWE would want. Can never count it out though.

We could put a proposal out there. I could do stats for every WWE wrestler and someone do the art... we send the product to the WWE as a prototype... I think it would be impressive!

The worst they could say is no. Might not be so crazy of an idea, after all, especially if there's a prototype all ready to go. With the available legends to sign kind of running their course, it's worth a shot.

With the available legends to sign kind of running their course, it's worth a shot. And with the WWE Hall of Fame and their list of "Legends" it may even open more doors for legends cards. As long as we were producing their main sets too. It'd be worth the attempt and if declined it'd be worth it to also try TNA and to a lesser extent ROH. Any of these promotions could push the sets to loyal wrestling fans. Obviously the WWE would be most lucrative, but there are other options.

Since wrestling is an even bigger deal in Japan, a deal with New Japan, All Japan, or Noah would probably be quite a money maker.
