I hate to say this, but I have to agree with my little brother! I think it's hard sometime to climax your feuds at the same time of the year, every year, to make them fit in a HITC match, for example. Plus, having the same stip multiple times on the same card really dilutes the allure of that stipulation, in my opinion. I do enjoy the Royal Rumble as annual event, and have a similar tradition in my AWA, with an annual Thanksgiving battle royal. But to me, that's a little different than an all cage match show. To be honest, I don't even like having two Elimination Chambers on the same show. Since the Royal Rumble is a combined brand show, why not put the top 3 contenders from each brand battle it out for a title shot at the EC? RR winner gets first pick, while the EC winner gets to fight the other champ. I've rambled enough, whatever makes a promoter happy is fine with me! Everyone has their own preferences, which is what this game is all about.

I love theme PPVs. If it does seem to get stale, then change it up a bit. No law saying you can't do some themes for a while, then change it when you get bored with it.

The problem I have with some of their themes (Hell in a Cell, in particular) is two-fold. First, if the Hell in a Cell Match becomes a "tradition" that they have to do every year, it makes the match itself, no matter how "hot" the feud is, seem less special. Matches are booked in the cell, because the timing of the PPV is right, not because it's the right time for that feud. Well, to be completely fair, with the exception of 2001, there's been a Hell in the Cell match every year since it's creation in 1997. I absolutely agree. I like how they're pushing EC this year, as well. To me, this is probably just me, for the past two or three years now, No Way Out/Elimination Chamber has felt more like a Big Four PPV than Survivor Series.

First of all, thank you to everybody who has responded to this thread so far. I have found many of your comments to be helpful. I've decided after my Wrestlemania 3 PPV next month that I am indeed going to do theme PPVs. The way I envision it, I think themed PPVs would help me with my organization and make my fed better. Here is how I am thinking of doing it: 10-12 PPV weekends/year the big 6 PPVsWrestlemania, Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, the Sammartino Invitational, and Night of Champions (these 6 PPVs would be presented by all 3 of my brands together and the wrestlers on these shows- except of course for the Sammartino Invitational with its 64 tag teams- would be mainly the top wrestlers for each brand). 4-6 themed Pay Per View Weekends/year(these 4-6 weekends would be 3 day extravaganzas with each brand presenting its own version of the theme PPV on a separate day Friday-Sunday. I.e. Hell in a Cell: RAW on Friday, Hell in a Cell: Smackdown on Saturday, and Hell in a Cell: EAWA on Sunday. That way more mid card wrestlers get to be on PPV too. And I don't have weekends where one brand is presenting a PPV and the other 2 brands have their regular shows because on Pay Per View Weekend ALL 3 brands have a PPV and NONE of them have a regular TV show- to me it makes my fed more organized and less clustered). names of the 4-6 themed Pay Per View Weekends/yearHell in a Cell Elimination Chamber Tables, Ladders, and Chairs 1-3 TBA (What else could I do? Breaking Point is a possibility but I'd have to be careful in how I construct the card. And Extreme Rules almost seems too redundant since I also have a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs PPV and plus one of my brands- the EAWA- has extreme rules for all their matches in the first place.) Format of Themed PPVsThere would obviously have to be at least one of the types of matches (i.e. Elimination Chamber) on the card for which the PPV is named. But many of the matches on the undercard would just be regular matches. I think that way the concept wouldn't be overdone and it would only be used for feuds that merited it (for example I thought it was way too early in their feuds last year at Hell in a Cell for CM Punk vs Undertaker and DX vs Legacy to take place inside Hell in a Cell at Hell in a Cell- although DX and Legacy had a great Hell in a Cell tag match IMO.) Also, this means that each brand might only have 1-2 Hell in a Cell matches/year and to me that seems about right. Themed ExceptionsTo give myself some leeway if a feud on one my brands is just calling for something like a Hell in a Cell match and yet I'm months away from Hell in a Cell- I might make a stipulation that one of those types of matches can also take place occasionally at one of the big 6 PPVs (i.e. Wrestlemania) too. What do you guys think? Feedback, positive or negative but constructive in either way, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have to double check, but I'm sure in some of those years they did HITC more than once. The difference, compared to the official HITC PPV now, is that those Cell Matches took place on different shows, not the same PPV event every year. Granted, probably not every match that took place in it was "worthy" of being in that type of stip (Undertaker vs. Big Bossman at WM XV), but at least the match was usually pushed as being special.

Yeah, I think in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2005, and 2009 they had multiple Hell in the Cell matches in the same year (obviously 3 in one night in 2009). And I agree with pretty much everything you said.

Tonight I sketched out this tentative new PPV schedule for my fed (PPV Weekend= each of my 3 brands presenting its own version of that themed PPV on a different day from Friday through Sunday for that weekend):
early May Sammartino Invitational (annual 64 tag team tournament)
June Night of Champions
August Summerslam
early-mid October Hell in a Cell (Pay Per View Weekend)
November Survivor Series
December Tables, Ladders, and Chairs (Pay Per View Weekend)
January Royal Rumble
February Elimination Chamber (Pay Per View Weekend)
late March Wrestlemania
I might also add another Pay Per View Weekend such as Breaking Point or something else to fill in one or more of the gaps.

I think doing theme pay-per-views works better in the Filsinger Games world then in real life.
