Thanks for feedback. Animal and Destroyer was a lot of fun to play out.
Mr. Saito (25) v. Jim Londos (40)
The fans give Londos a solid ovation as he is introduced by Gary Michael Cappetta. Londos goes for the quick win with an AIRPLANE SPIN in the opening moments but Saito will not go down that easy (R10/P4). Saito bails to the floor drawing great heat after a grinding arm bar. Londos is out after him and the fans eat it up. Saito goes into the rails and then gets tossed back inside. AIRPLANE SPIN. 1, 2, 3 (R5/P5) and Londos is onto the next round. Saito has no offense whatsoever. Up next: Bobo Brazil (8) v. Bob Roop (57)

Bobo Brazil (8) v. Bob Roop (57)
Brazil is out to a huge pop and he takes several minutes to greet the fans at ringside. Both men feel each other out before the match goes to the floor. Roop and Brazil trade blows around the ring and Roop shoves the referee to the floor. The bell sounds and Roop is out of the tournament via disqualification. Another disappointing finish. Up next: Rob Van Dam (4) v. Jimmy Valiant (61)

Rob Van Dam (4) w/Bill Alfonzo v. Jimmy Valiant w/Captain Lou Albano (61)
Van Dam has the fans chanting his name and the crowd is electric from the outset. Valiant looks strong from the bell but Van Dam takes over at ringside running Valiant into the ring post shoulder first. Back inside, Van Dam hits the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH but Valiant kicks out just before the three count (R6/P5). Alfonzo tosses in a chair and Van Dam connects with a Van Daminator. The referee calls for the disqualification and we have our first monster upset of the tournament. The fans do not like the call and Albano has to drag a dazed but victorious Valiant from the ring. John Tolos (29) v. Ted DiBiase (36)
Two of the craftiest competitors in the LWF clash next. The fans back DiBiase from the opening bell. It is a slow start for both men who are looking for a spot to a break open the action. It never happens as the match spills to the floor and both men tear it up. The fans are on their feet but the referee decides to throw out the match and both men are out of the tournament. Up Next: William Muldoon (20) v. Greg Valentine (45)

William Muldoon (20) v. Greg Valentine (45) w/Captain Lou Albano
Both these men are known for their stamina so fans are expecting a long match. Both men trade moves and Valentine goes off the ropes into a cross body for a one count (R5/P2) the surprizes many at ringside. After forcing Muldoon to the floor, Valentine goes for the submission with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK but Muldoon rolls his opponent to break the hold. (R11/P4). The Hammer keeps coming and goes back to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Muldoon struggles towards the ropes but cannot make it (R5/P5). The action is over much quicker than expected but at least we get a clean finish. Up next: Giant Baba (13) v. Ilio DiPaolo (52)

Thank you for the feedback Kamala. The hammer looked impressive in his open round bout for sure.
Giant Baba (13) v. Ilio DiPaolo (52)
Handshake gets us going. Baba uses his size to gain the advantage and DiPaolo is completely outmatched. A Baba Chop puts DiPaolo down for 2 (R3/P8). A boot to the face sets up a NECKRBEAKER DROP (R3/P7) and Baba is onto round two. Up Next: Terry Gordy (12) v. Kevin Sullivan (53)

Terry Gordy (12) v. Kevin Sullivan (53)
Two of the best brawlers in history clashed in the next match. The fans were braced for complete chaos. Gordy explodes from the bell and crushes Sullivan with a choke slam (ch) before he catches him in the corner with a running slingshot. Sullivan looks complete overwhelmed. Gordy then traps Sullivan with an ORIENTAL SPIKE and Sullivan has no counter (R3/P3). Back to back squash matches. Up Next: Steve Williams (21) v. John Pesek (44)

This tournament is a lot of fun to follow, Bookerbill. It will be interesting to see if Bobo Brazil can take it again. Those last two victories by Giant Baba and Terry Gordy were really impressive. I can't wait to see how all of this plays out.

Thanks for ready Crue.
Steve Williams (21) v. John Pesek (44)
Williams is out to a solid pop. Williams uses his weight advantage early on with a fireman’s carry into a football tackle for a near fall (R9/P3). Williams shocks the fans and Pesek with a cross body block deathjump that looks anything but graceful but gets a 2 count regardless (R8/P4). Pesek kicks out after an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE (R11/P7). Williams keeps coming and slows the match down with a bear hug. A backdrop driver forces Pesek to the floor. Williams comes out after him and both men trade blows around the ring. The referee cannot restore order and both men are eliminated from the tournament via double disqualification. Up Next: Don Muraco (28) v. Diamond Dallas Page (37)
