Thanks for the feedback Kamala.
Masked Superstar II (23) v. Al Costello (42) w/Red Berry
Costello struggles with Superstar’s size advantage early on. Costello manages to score with a Greek Cross and a series of forearms before mounting the corner for a deathjump attack but Superstar catches Costello on the top buckle and tosses him to the mat. Superstar traps Costello in a BACKBREAKER putting an end to the one sided contest (R4/P6). Up Next: The Crusher (26) v. Rick Rude (39)

The Crusher (26) v. Rick Rude (39)
Rude cranks up the heat by running down the fans with his pre-mic work telling the fans he will show them what a real man looks like. The man who made Milwaukee famous is out to a monster pop and we are underway. Rude makes the mistake of trying to mix it up with Crusher early on but recovers with a suplex for a 1 count (R11/P2). A pair of piledrivers sends Crusher outside. Rude goes out to ringside and both men trade blows. The referee is out to restore order and Rude decks the official earning a disqualification before hightailing it out of the ringside with The Crusher in hot pursuit. Up Next: Buddy Rogers (7) v. Yukon Eric (58)

Buddy Rogers (7) v. Yukon Eric (58)
The Nature Boy is out to great heat. The fans love Eric and are hoping for another major upset. Eric has the fans rocking with his punches and chops. Rogers turns things around when he drags Eric to the floor and chop blocks his leg out from under him. Back inside, Eric escapes a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE by powering his way to the ropes (R7/P6). It is all Rogers and a piledriver forces Eric back to the floor. This time it is Rogers who is dragged to the floor and goes into the ring post shoulder first. Rogers survives a pair of KODIAK KRUNCHES (R7/P2) (R8/P3) and then kicks out (R9/P3) after a body block in the corner. The fans are roaring as a second body block in the corner crumples the Nature Boy to the floor. Eric is out after him but a low blow turns things around for Rogers. Both men show they can counter off the ropes moves and then both go for a clothesline crashing together in the middle of the ring. Rogers recovers first and connects with a series of dropkicks for a 1 count (R7/P3). The action goes back and forth in and out of the ring with neither man being able to string together more than a couple of moves before their opponent counters and takes over. Rogers connects with a forearm upper cut that stuns Eric and then executes a perfect atomic drop. Rogers hooks the leg and barely gets the three count (R4/P4). Rogers soaks up the jeers at ringside with a smile on his face. Up Next: Mil Mascaras (3) v. Al Snow (62)

Mil Mascaras (3) v. Al Snow (62)
It appeared that Mascaras did not know what to think of Head but the fans knew that Snow can compete so this could be a great match up. Mascaras wastes no time and gets control of the action from the opening bell. A pair of slingshot planchas gets the masked Mexican a 1 count (R10/P4) and a CROSSBODY ATTACK nearly ends it (R6/P5). Mascaras hits a deathjump smash and then covers Snow for a near fall with a CROSSBODY ATTACK (R7/P6). Mascaras connects with a deathjump clothesline but Snow is able to reverses a whip into the corner and connects with a tackles in the corner. Snow finally gets something going including back to back moonsaults. There is solid exchange of counters that saw Mascaras counter a hooking clothesline with a deep armdrag which Snow came out of with a back spin kick that Mascaras countered with a full nelson suplex (ch) for a 2 ¾ count (R9/P8). Mascaras slows the pace down with a standing surfboard and then moves to an octopus hold for the submission win (R7/P9). The fans give both men a huge ovation after the match. Iron Sheik (30) v. Ed “Strangler” Lewis (35)
The Sheik is out to great heat and then gets on the mic and tells the fans what he really thinks of them which only turns up the intensity tenfold. The fan cheer everything Lewis does and they have plenty to cheer about early on. Lewis counters everything the Sheik tries and then uses a double wristlock to transition into a spinning neckbreaker (ch). Sheik escapes a STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK (R9/P2). Sheik reverses a whip into the corner but Lewis blocks Sheik’s charge with an elbow to the face followed by a STRANGLER’S HEADLOCK. Sheik escapes (R7/P3) but Lewis cranks on the hold again. Sheik is not ready to give in yet (R8/P4) but Lewis will not be denied and goes back to the hold a fourth time and the Sheik is done (R3/P5). Up Next: Harley Race (19) v. Sabu (46)

Harley Race (19) v. Sabu (46)
Despite the contrasting styles, this remained a clash of the two of the toughest men to compete in the ring. This one breaks down quickly when Race tosses Sabu to the floor. Sabu drags Race to the floor and whips him into the ring post busting Race open. The referee warns Sabu but the madman from Bombay pays no attention and moments later takes Race back to the floor and rams him head first into the steel rails. The referee calls for the disqualification. Race battles back at ringside and both men brawl back to the dressing room. Up next: v. George Hackenschmidt (14) Curt Hennig (51)

Thanks Neily and Troy for checking out the action.
Don't forget to wish your mothers a happy mother's day!
George Hackenschmidt (14) Curt Hennig (51)
An interesting matchup in this one. Both men know their holds. Hackenschmidt has the clear strength advantage while Hennig is the quicker of the two men. It is Hennig’s speed that is the early difference maker. Hennig picks up a quick one count with back to back rolling neck snaps (R12/P2). Hennig uses a sleeper and rides Hackenschmidt all the way to the floor. Hennig does not let go of the hold at ringside and the referee comes out to break up things but Hennig shoves the referee back and is disqualified. The fans are not pleased with the call and we have back to back disqualification finishes for the second time in the tournament. Up next: Bruiser Brody (11) v. Dick Hutton (54)
