Survivor Series 2009 Results Live From The Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough, England
It was an awesome event and a dice-rolling pleasure. Let's take a look at the outcomes.....
Bout 1/5 - The Age Of The Fall v The Whole F'n Team
The Age Of The Fall Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black, Necro Butcher, Brodie Lee & Delirious
The Whole F'n Team Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Bryan Danielson, D'Lo Brown & Al Snow
Both teams sparred evenly in the opening minutes, Black almost pinning Brown with a Phoenix Splash. Delirious was tagged in but was dominated by superb teamwork; he eventually made a tag to Jacobs who was surprised by a flying bodypress and pinned by Sabu.
Delirious, still dazed, reentered the ring after Necro had beat down on Sabu but he misjudged a clothesline and was decked by a leg lariat. Van Dam ended his involvement in the bout with a frog splash.
Necro whipped Brown into the turnbuckle but the move was reversed. As Necro charged out of the corner, he was caught in a crushing Sky High and pinned.
Brown and Sabu doubleteamed Black, leaving him open to Danielson's choice of attack. One Cattle Mutilation later and Lee was facing the ultimate Survivor Series nightmare - five against one!
Knowing his chances of survival were slim, Lee attacked recklessly, laying the big boot on his competitors. However he was nailed from behind with a spinning kick, fell into a Snow Plow and pinned for an amazing whitewash victory for RVD & co.

Bout 2/5 - Sweet & Sour Inc. v The Superfriends
Sweet & Sour Inc Larry Sweeney, Chris Hero, Adam Pearce, Brent Albright & Ultramantis Black
The Superfriends Arik Cannon, Eddie Kingston, Mike Quackenbush, Erick Stevens, Drake Younger
Sweeney drove Quackenbush into the mat with a piledriver and tagged in Pearce - cue the double-whammy. Quackster escaped to his corner and tagged Kingston who laid out Pearce with a lariat for the first elimination. Black and Hero cocked up a doubleteam move allowing Kingston to roll up Hero for another pinfall - all in the space of a minute!
Kingston covered Black after a vicious Yakuza kick; this was enough to enrage Sweeney and his teammates to storm the ring and create a brawl. Amongst the chaos, Sweeney smashed Kingston with a knuckleduster. Black hit the Mantis Bomb and covered him for the pinfall.
Black was duly ground down by good teamwork, eventually put away by Cannon's neckbreaker. Stevens was blasted by a vertical suplex before submitting to Albright's crowbar.
Albright and Sweeney gathered themselves and raised their game. First, Cannon went down to the 12 Large Elbow Drop and then did Quackenbush. Younger was tossed out of the ring but Sweeney's overconfidence cost him. He once again brandished his knuckleduster but the referee witnessed his actions and disqualified him instantly.
A grinning Albright threw a bloodied Younger back into the ring to begin a brutal assault. Suplex after suplex, yet Younger kicked out. Albright hammered the canvas in frustration as the cheer for his gutsy opponent grew louder.
Younger climbed to his feet in the corner to see Albright steaming towards him; he moved, sending Albright crashing into the turnbuckle. Seizing the advantage, Younger executed the Drake's Landing and scored the winning pinfall.
Ecstatic, he climbed the turnbuckle and bellowed at the audience, who screamed in delight.

Thanks Dustin, but the night is not over...
Bout 3/5 The Ladies' Six-Woman Tagteam Match - One Fall To A Finish
Sara Del Ray/April Hunter/Sherri Martel v Penny Banner/Ida Mae Martinez/Daizee Haze
The referee was hurt early in the bout after being squashed between Haze and Hunter (lucky guy, lol). He recovered as Banner held Del Ray in a headlock.
Hunter was tagged in but was dealt a vicious blow which led to her being pummelled for several minutes. Haze hit her with a cutter but it wasn't enough to win the bout.
Martel worked industriously, wearing down her opponents with well-executed moves and sending a warning to the Ladies' Champion, Ida Mae Martinez. However it was Martinez's team that claimed the victory.
After Martel failed to pin Haze with a top rope splash, Del Ray was tagged in. She fired Haze into the ropes but she responded with a small package. Haze made a blind tag to Martinez and, as Del Ray came off the ropes, the champion levelled her with a killer dropkick for the pinfall.

Bout 4/5 - The Perfect Team v Guts & Glory
The Perfect Team Curt Hennig, Don Muraco, Cowboy Bob Orton, Bob Roop, Rick Rude
Guts & Glory Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase, Steve Williams, Bruiser Brody, Jimmy Snuka
Duggan's team promised to humiliate and eliminate Hennig first and they looked to keep that promise, both Snuka and DiBiase attempting to pin him before he dodged a Williams legdrop and tagged out.
DiBiase attacked Muraco with as series of elbows before loading his glove and cocking his arm. Muraco climbed to his feet, turned round and was nailed directly on the chin. DiBiase covered and eliminated him.
Roop entered the ring and bore the brunt of a Duggan attack. Before he could recover, Duggan uncharacteristically leaped off the turnbuckle and pinned him with a bodypress.
Rude got the better of Duggan and gave his team captain the satisfaction of scoring the pinfall with his Hennigplex. Hennig claimed two more victims to his finisher - DiBiase and Williams - before falling to Snuka's Superfly Leap.
Brody worked over Rude but was knocked for six by a high knee as he charged into the turnbuckle. Rude helped Orton superplex the big guy to leave Snuka on his own. However, Snuka rose to the challenge, pinning Rude with a superbly-executed powerslam after reversing a whip into the ropes.
Orton and Snuka battled it out for several minutes until the climax resulted from a mistake by The Superfly. As Snuka climbed the turnbuckle to perform a leap, Orton shook the top rope causing his opponent to lose his footing. Cowboy quickly applied a superplex to become te sole survivor.

Bout 5/5 - The Elimination Chamber Match
The Participants Ric Flair, Sting, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Dusty Rhodes, Barry Windham
With the other wrestlers secured in their chambers, Luger surprised Michaels with a torture rack but a thumb to the eye allowed him to escape. Michaels turned the tables, nailing Luger with some "Sweet Chin Music" but failed to pin him.
Sting exited his chamber and went straight after Michaels, attacking him with chops to the chest. A swift koppo kick sent Michaels down to the mat. Sting covered and pinned the Texan much to the spectators' dismay.
Rhodes enterd next followed by Flair, who was targeted and beaten down. The American Dream hit Flair with a lariat, setting him up for Luger's superplex. Good night, Nature Boy!
The bout went several minutes before the next elimination. Sting and Rhodes lifted Luger high into the air with a double superplex, the latter collecting the pinfall.
A fresh Windham worked on Sting's legs before forcing him to submit to a leglock. Windham then put the lid on it, finishing Rhodes off with a suplex.
More to come, folks! Watch this space for NMW's festive supercard, Christmas Clash!

Christmas Clash 2009 December 24, 2009 The Riverside Stadium, Middlesbrough, England
Yes, I know posting a Christmas event in early February is very, very late but let me explain. I wrote this card specifically for Legends Partners (which didn't arrive till January 13th) then I was hospitalised. I'm a lot better now and this is how the evening went...
The Love Brothers v Brian Kendrick & Paul London
A quite exciting yet drawn-out opening to the event. The Love Brothers tried to put their opponents away twice with a double slam only for the save. Kendrick nailed Hartford with Sliced Bread but he kicked out. The spectators were in awe as both teams cranked it up with the double-teaming. Kendrick missed a legdrop - Hartford knocked the wind out of him with a legdrop of his own - then tagged in his brother to put Spanky away with a double slam.
Penny Banner v Sherri Martel
The action in this bout was fast and furious, as can be expected in the Ladies Division. Martel sent Banner into the ropes but was caught in a small cradle for a near fall. After Banner misjudged a scoopslam, Martel took advantage, controlling the bout. She wore Banner down with hiplocks and head scissors, setting her up for a top rope splash via a suplex. The Sensational One squashed and pinned her opponent for a great victory.
Maurice Tillet v Magnum T.A.
The French Angel attacked from behind, hurting Magnum with menacing palm strikes, wearing him down with vicious chokeholds. Tillet threw his opponent towards the turnbuckle but caught an elbow. Magnum, encouraged by the fans, attacked with a series of jabs then flattened Tillet with a running forearm. Tillet kicked out of a pin attempt then fired Magnum into the ropes but telegraphed a back body drop. Magnum leapfrogged then surprised and pinned The Frenchman with a textbook belly-to-belly suplex.
Nigel McGuinness v Bryan Danielson
Danielson, fancying a quick win, covered McGuinness after a Yakuza kick but it wasn't enough. Several MMA Strikes sent a dizzy McGuinness out of the ring but Danielson continued his assault, tossing the Londoner back into the ring and going for a submission. McGuinness came back with a lariat then tried to humiliate the American Dragon with repeated forearm grinds. When Danielson missed with a suicide dive, McGuinness winded him with a shortarm lariat before scoring the pinfall with the Tower of London. An entertaining match indeed.
The One Man Gang v Hillbilly Jim
Jim received a massive cheer as he approached the ring and the bout got off to an explosive start as he scoopslammed the Gang and went for a quick cover - Gang kicked out on two. Hillbilly nailed the big guy with a big boot but sought approval from the spectators, which sealed his fate. Too busy posing, he didn't notice the Gang sneaking up from behind with a massive forearm to the back. As Jim collapsed to the canvas following a turnbuckle splash, Gang chuckled as he rebounded off the ropes with a 747 splash to win.

Adrian Street v Les Thatcher
Battle of the two junior heavyweights turned out to be quite interesting. Thatcher, as expected, had the better in most of the bout, catching Street in the stump puller twice only for Miss Linda to save the day. It was all Thatcher, but The Exotic One outsmarted him at a crucial moment, rolling him up and using the ropes as extra leverage to snatch a cheap victory.
Miracle Violence Connection v Sabu & Rob Van Dam
This bout looked to last mere minutes as RVD was squashed with an Oklahoma Stampede but Bill Alfonso thought better of it and distracted Williams. Once RVD recovered, he and Sabu began to use their superior speed to their advantage. RVD splashed Gordy but Williams made the save. Gordy also resisted Sabu's camel clutch. The battle exploded out of the ring with Gordy getting disqualified for smashing Sabu with a chair. Alfonso looked pleased with his team's performance however.
The Bolsheviks v D'Lo Brown & Al Snow
The Russians attempted a sneak attack before the bell but it was thwarted! As Snow and Zhukov battled outside the ring, Brown beat up Volkoff, slammed him in the centre of the ring then pinned him with the Lo Down. The Bolsheviks made their way slowly to the locker room, Volkoff grumbling at Zhukov for failing to come to his aid.
John Pesek v George Steele
Pesek taunted Steele in the middle of the ring then made the mistake of turning his back. Was The Animal cross! He went berserk, raking Pesek's back and biting him before kicking him out of the ring. Pesek grabbed the legs, dragging Steele out of the ring, smashed him into the guardrail then threw him back into the ring to get down to business. Both men applied their finishers but The Tiger Man proved too resilient for The Animal and he gained a victory via a toehold.
The Masked Superstars v Andre The Giant & S.D. Jones
These four men met in a dark match a few weeks ago with the masked men victorious. Andre went for swift revenge, splashing MS2 only to be distracted and doubleteamed. Jones was tagged in but the Superstars put him to the sword. However, he evaded a bodyslam to tag Andre back in. The Giant wasted no time, pinning MS1 with a big splash.
