Bout 2/5 - The Ladies Elimination Match
Heel Team : Sara Del Ray, April Hunter, Sherri Martel, MsChif
Face Team : Penny Banner, Trinity Denucci, Daizee Haze, Ida Mae Martinez
Oops! As I came to dig out my notes on this match, I appear to have lost them. Very unprofessional of me and I do apologise. I shall have to retrieve from memory. Well, Banner and Haze won the match for their team and also eliminated the opposition between them. Martinez was squashed by Martel’s top rope splash and Denucci succumbed to Del Ray’s Butterfly Powerslam.
Bout 3/5 - The Foreign Legion v America’s Team
The Foreign Legion : The Iron Sheik, The Mountie, The Bolsheviks
America’s Team : Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Bob Armstrong, Brad Armstrong, Magnum T.A.
The two teams squared up to each other, national pride at stake. The Foreign Legion had Bullet Bob in trouble early but they failed to eliminate him and paid dearly for it. Duggan was tagged in and he went one-on-one with The Mountie. The Canadian got the upper hand but became frustrated by Duggan’s resilience; he grabbed his shock stick, pushed the ref aside and used it on Hacksaw, gaining an early shower.
The whole process of The Foreign Legion dominating without making it count was repeated, this time Brad Armstrong pinning an injured Zhukov. After being dropkicked out of the ring, Volkoff hit his head hard against the steel barrier. He managed to roll back into the ring only to be met with another dropkick. He was covered and pinned, leaving Iron Sheik all alone.
Facing an impossible feat, Sheik resigned himself to defeat, getting disqualified for ramming a chair into Duggan’s ribs. It was a cheap victory for the USA.
Survivors : America’s Team in its entirety
Bout 4/5 - The Martel Cartel v Team NJPW
Martel Cartel : Curt Hennig, Larry Hennig, Harley Race, Buddy Rose
Team NJPW : Giant Baba, Antonio Inoki, Terry Gordy, Steve Williams
Sherri Martel made her second appearance of the evening, this time to supervise her team against opposition that boasted both technical skill and raw power. Inoki was eliminated first; Rose nailed him with the Bombs Away before Curt Hennig finished him with the Hennig Plex. Williams went next; Larry Hennig, wrestling his powerful best, wore him down with a bear hug before smashing him with The Axe to collect a pinfall. Baba looked concerned as Martel celebrated.
Gordy had Rose defeated with an awesome piledriver but Martel put Rose’s foot on the bottom rope. However the referee noticed and the Playboy was sent packing! Curt Hennig made sure Gordy fell victim to his Hennig Plex and after some strong double-teaming, Baba was crushed by Race’s piledriver.
Survivors : Curt Hennig, Larry Hennig & Harley Race
Bout 5/5 - The Heenan Family v They Might Be Giants
Heenan Family : King Kong Bundy, Masked Superstar II, One Man Gang, Rick Rude
They Might Be Giants : Andre The Giant, Cousin Luke, Hillbilly Jim, S.D. Jones
Bobby Heenan’s pre-match bragging that his stable had this one in the bag was looking to explode in his face as Andre’s team showed better continuity in the early going. However, Cousin Luke got carried away, attacking Rude’s midsection, unaware of the tag to Bundy. After a power slam, Luke submitted to a bear hug. One Man Gang, struggling with Jones, got disqualified due to Heenan’s interference. This was unnecessary of The Brain as his team was on top, and, as if to prove it, Rude pinned Hillbilly Jim, almost at will, with the Rude Awakening.
Jones reentered the ring and caused the opposition more problems but he made the mistake of not utilising his gigantic teammate and fell to MSII’s massive falling elbow. Against tough opposition, he did not disgrace himself.
The spectators rallied behind a lone Andre and he responded, cleaning house before pinning MSII with a sitdown splash. Heenan called his men to a ringside conference which turned out to be highly effective. Rude and Bundy whipped the giant into the turnbuckle several times; Bundy followed through with an avalanche and scored a three-count. Tremendous victory for the Heenan Family!
Survivors : King Kong Bundy & Rick Rude
Coming soon….Christmas Clash and hopefully the debuts of the stars of Legends Ten!

UPDATE : Sorry that the NMW has been inactive for a while but I fell ill with pneumonia at the New Year and have just been discharged from hospital.
I am suffering nerve damage (which I hope is temporary) in my dice-rolling hand so I still need to rest and recover before restarting. In the meantime, I shall keep up with the boards and be entertained by other feds.
Thank you for your time.
