Kangaroos get their second straight bye That's just what the Kangaroos need... Wow, Costello and Heffernan getting a second bye is huge. It's going to be hard to beat them with that kind of luck on their side. Sad to see Orton & Muraco go out like that but looking forward to the next bout

So I jinxed your brackets by bringing up a double DQ. Now it seems a team will get a by in the second round.

I don’t know anything about jinxes but the dice are what they are… All three finals in my singles tournaments have ended with a cat’s eyes roll so you never know what will happen. Mr. Saito & Mr. Fuji (10) v. Paul London & Brian Kendrick (23)
The fans are on their feet for London and Kendrick. The speed of Kendrick and London carries the action early on with their Japanese opponents struggling to keep up. Saito manages to backdrop London over the corner to the floor in a sick looking spot. London crawls back into the ring and Saito is ready with a SCORPION LEGLOCK. London hangs on (R11/P3). Kendrick gets the hot tag against Fuji and explodes with a huracanrana and a tornado DDT but Fuji avoids a charge into the corner and Kendrick crashes into the buckles. Roll up by Fuji for 1 (R9/P3). Saito works over Kendrick on the floor and then traps him in a SCORPION LEGLOCK. London gets into the action followed by Fuji. Fuji gets back dropped to the floor allowing Kendrick and London to double up on Saito. The referee reaches five in his count and then disqualifies Kendrick & London for the double team infraction. The fans are losing their minds and promoters are starting to panic with yet another bout without a clean finish.

Too bad about the London/Kendrick loss.
Maybe Round 2 should be fought no DQ. Wow.

WOW! Didn't see that one coming. Thought would have been Fuji and Sato with the DQ.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. aceldamas: very tempting idea given what has transpired so far but the matches will remain tradition throughout the tournament @nick_Nuke: it was a shocker indeed @ CC: I liked it as well. Killer Bees (B. Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell) (14) v. Love Brothers (Reginald & Hartford Love) (19) The Love Brother do they do best early on and that is cut off their opponent from making a tag with Brunzell taking an early beating leading to a near count out (R5/P3). Blair gets the tag in against Reginald Love and uses a series of dropkicks to put Love on the defensive. Love gets the best of a brawl on the floor and the momentum changes. Hartford Love is in with a NECKBEAKER on Blair for a 2 count (R6/P5). Love connects with another NECKBREAKER right away and Brunzell is cut off from making the save. Blair kicks out again (R12/P6). The Love Brothers down Blair with a DOUBLE SLAM. Reginald covers and Hartford blocks Brunzell. 1, 2, shoulder up (R7/P6). Another DOUBLE SLAM and again Blair gets a shoulder up at the last second (R8/P7). A third DOUBLE SLAM ends it (R6/P8).

Red Bastien & Pepper Gomez (11) v. Billy Red Lyons & Dewey Robertson (22)
Handshakes all around to get this one started. Robertson and Bastien start off at quick pace. Bastien scores with a flying head scissors and hooks the leg for one (R9/P3). Bastien is in control and a spinning neckbreaker (ch) sets up an ATOMIC DROP but Lyons makes the save. Both teams are able to make tags as the action moves on. Lyons and Bastien impress the fans with their exchange of counters and Lyons once again strikes with a flying head scissors leading to a two count (R6/P4). Bastien then traps Lyons in a Boston Crab and the Canadian has nowhere to go. Lyons submits (R5/P5) and the team of Gomez & Bastien are onto the next round.
