C4! EXPLOSION – SATURDAY 9/6/14
It's time for another great night of wrestling action courtesy of C4! Coming off of C4! On FOX, can Strafe and Rush retain their titles? Will the Aethran Fight Club continue to stand tall? Or will there be really short title reigns? We find out tonight at The Dayton Convention Center, where our hosts are Mark Lowrance and Paul Ellering.
Mark and Paul welcome us to the show, and start off by talking a little bit about last week's card. Mark says we've had plenty of action to kick off the show and some more foul play as well, so let's get to the highlight oackage of the kickoff matches....
SCORN D. PORTIA PEREZ AT 4:12 with a Bridging Fallaway Slam PAUL – Pretty even to start out, but Scorn with the size advantage just wearing out Portia before scoring the win. A much better result for Scorn than last week.
KRISSY VAINE D. AMBER O'NEAL AT 7:48 with a Facelift PAUL – Krissy pretty much controlling this one from beginning to end, and as a result, Amber O'Neal loses her spot on the active roster.
TAICHI D. ALERE LITTLE FEATHER AT 5:12 with a Knee Bar PAUL – The Indian Warrior Princess controlling the first couple of minutes with high speed offense, but Taichi managed to clip a leg and begin working on it, finally cinching the Knee Bar and forcing Alere to tap
STAR WARRIOR D. ABRAHAM LINCOLN AT 5:55 with a Karate Chop, and Abraham Lincoln going down in a bloody blaze of glory PAUL – Abe gave Warrior one hell of a fight, kicking out of two Nova Launches and coming back into the ring after being flattened by a bodypress outside the ring. A vicious reverse piledriver by Warrior gashed Abe pretty badly, and he became a severe bloody mess quickly. Nonetheless, he kicked out of another piledriver and just kept coming, finally being put down by a vicious karate chop from Warrior. Warrior showing him props after the match and the crowd showing their appreciation as well, but with that loss, Abe is off the active roster
JIGSAW D. ONE MAN GANG AT 3:01 via Out Of The Ring DQ, but what had fans buzzing was what happened after the match PAUL – That's right Mark, Gang lures Jigsaw into a fight outside the ring after being flustered by Jig's speed, he and Jig get into a brawl and Gang gets DQ'd for ignoring the referee. Here's what the crowd is buzzing about coming here, Gang flattens Jig from behind, and as the referee tries to protect Jig, Gang picks him up and levels him with a right hand, then hits a 747 Splash for good measure. Jim Cornette out with security to escort Gang off the property while announcing an indefinite suspension for Gang as well. Referee taken to the hospital on suspicion of a cracked rib, hopefully we'll hear more before the night is over.
HAWK D. NIKOLAI VOLKOFF AT 3:36 with a Gorilla Press Slam, could it be safe to say your old colleague is hitting his groove, so to speak? PAUL – He very well could be, Mark. Hawk using his brain in this match and not trying to match power with Nikolai, instead using superior agility to avoid some of his attacks and then striking on the rebound. Hawk surprising everyone, including me, by dodging a knee strike and pressing Volkoff in one fluid motion, then slamming him and getting the immediate win on the subsequent cover.
Mark and Paul talk about the near confrontation at the end of C4! On FOX between Strafe and Madusa Miceli. Mark sends it backstage to Amber Gertner, who is with Strafe
Amber congratulates Strafe on her title win last week and asks for thoughts on her opponent, Madusa Miceli this week. Strafe says she hears she is a former World Champion, but that is no matter, because she is an Aethran Warrior, and no mere mortal can beat an Aethran Warrior in the wrestling ring. Madusa interrupts and tells Strafe not to get too comfortable with that belt, because she wasn't going to have it for long. Brute then comes in and tells the little girl to run along, until Kenji stands between them and makes the throat slash towards Brute, causing him to back off. Amber sends it back to Mark and Paul as Tammy Lynn Sytch and Jim Cornette break up the melee.
Mark then says Gene Okerlund is in back as a limo has pulled up to the Dayton Convention Center. Gene waits for the limo door to open and out steps Harley Race. Gene asks Harley about his match tonight with Rush. Harley says no matter how big a Warrior thinks he is, he never has any chance in the rarified air that legends and Gods walk in. Rush got fortunate the last time they wrestled, and he says that Rush better not only hope to win, but survive as well. Harley walks off. Gene says it is obvious that Harley Race is ready, and back to Mark and Paul.
Mark and Paul send it up to our ring announcer, Amber Gertner, and here we go.
PEGGY LEE LEATHER VS KELLIE SKATER Kellie tried to start fast with a corner whip, and Peggy immediately sent her to the mat with an atomic drop. Peggy floored Kellie with a shoulder block, had her screaming with a Camel Clutch, and nearly scored a near fall with a Choke Slam. Peggy scored another near fall with Last Call. Peggy sunk a Stomach Claw in deep, causing Kellie to scream again, but Kellie managed to escape. Peggy pressed her advantage with a Running Forearm Smash in the corner, a Choke Slam, a Camel Clutch, and finally another Choke Slam for the win at 3:15
DAIZEE HAZE VS RAIN Rain started strong with two Bulldogs and a Running Clothesline in the corner. Rain then dropped Daizee with a Lariat for a near fall. Rain, out of nowhere, then hit a vicious Lung Blower, which put Daizee down for the win at 1:58
PENNY BANNER VS AWESOME KONG Upon the initial tieup Kong pressed and slammed Penny immediately, following that up with a toss across the ring using her hair. Penny reversed a Butterfly Suplex into a headlock and punch that dazed Kong. Kong regained the advantage after swatting away a Dropkick. Penny reversed a Lariat attempt into another Dropkick, and Kong swatted it away again before countering with a Two Hand Choke Slam. After another brief tieup, Kong sent Penny to the corner, only to eat a Kneelift to the face, taking her down. Penny hit a Sunset Flip for a near fall. Penny tied up Kong in a Small Cradle and Kong kicked out. Penny then went to the top turnbuckle, only to have Kong recover and throw her across the ring to the mat. Kong hit a vicious Awesome Bomb that knocked Penny silly, and Kong scored the pin at 3:51
ULTRAMANTIS BLACK VS HENRY IRSLINGER Black rocks Henry early with a chop, a corner whip, and combo punches to the face. Black tried another corner whip and was met with an elbow. Henry goes for a front facelock, which Black reverses into a Double Knee Backbreaker for a near fall. Black brings Henry back down with an Argentine Facebuster and sends Henry into the ropes, but Henry meets him with a Stun Gun on the top rope as he charges in. Henry sends Black out of the ring, and when he returns, takes Black down with an Airplane Spin. After a Neck Yoke and a Scissors Hold, Henry sends Black out of the ring again, but this time Black begins brawling with Henry, which gets him DQ'd by the referee at 3:38. Some pushing and shoving results after the match, but nothing more.
RIKIDOZAN VS GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT Riki starts with a kick and a Single Leg Takedown, but on a Stomp attempt, George reverses into a Twisting Heel Hook. Riki is sent into the ropes, but recovers to Stun Gun George on the top rope. A brutal Forearm Hammer scores a near fall for Riki. A Boston Crab and a Chop Uppercut score another near fall for Riki. George reverses another Stomp into a Heel Hook and transitions to a Body Scissors. George presses the advantage with submission holds and a Waistlock Suplex. At this point some great counters and reversals occur with neither fighter getting a clear advantage. George regains the advantage and scores with a Suplex and a Slam, but eats an elbow from Riki coming off the ropes. After some more great scientific wrestling, Riki hits some Overhead Chops and sends George out of the ring. Upon his return, Riki hits the Hiplock for a near fall. Riki follows up with a Forearm Hammer for another near fall. Riki hits another Hiplock on George, and this time it works. Rikidozan scores the pinfall at 7:48
DELIRIOUS VS WOLF After a quick handshake, Delirious tried a kick. Wolf dodged the kick and sent Delirious into the corner, only to eat a Kneelift. Delirious then hit Shadows Over Heck and a running forearm on Wolf in the corner. Delirious hit Panic Attack, Shadows Over Heck, and another Panic Attack, keeping up the high speed, high impact offense on Wolf. Delirious scored a near fall. Delirious then hit a Top Rope Shoulderblock and a Bizarro Driver for another near fall. Delirious immediately hit a second Bizarro Driver and scored the MAJOR UPSET of the evening via pinfall at 2:41
As we get ready for the #1 Contender and Championship matches, Mark and Paul go over the live results up to this point, especially the pinfall of Wolf by Delirious, considering they were allies just last week. Paul agrees it was a major upset. We go to the locker room with Wolf, who is clearly upset over losing the match.
It's time for our Contender and Championship matches.
#1 CONTENDER MATCH – RHIANNON VS MERCEDES MARTINEZ After two tieups taking about half a minute, Mercedes hits a straight right to Rhiannon's face, hurting her and getting the early advantage. Mercedes goes for a rope whip and gets dropped on the top rope by Rhiannon. Rhiannon immediately hits Banshee Wail for a near fall. Rhiannon then locks on a Knee Bar and Mercedes manages to roll both of them out of the ring. Upon hitting the floor, both ladies pop up and begin brawling violently, bringing the fans to their feet. Despite the referee's count, both ladies continued brawling and both were DQ'd at 1:52
You would have to think that with the Double DQ, Awesome Kong would be in the driver's seat to get the title shot next week, but we'll see
#1 CONTENDER MATCH – BRUTE VS KENJI Kenji immediately tries a clothesline (why he did this on a fresh, much larger opponent, we don't know), which Brute immediately reversed and turned into a Gladiator Piledriver for a quick near fall. Brute sent Kenji out of the ring, hit a massive Chokeslam on the concrete, and threw Kenji back in the ring. Kenji was nearly limp at this point. Brute then hit a Shoulderbreaker, a Head Butt, and a Skullcrusher, but Kenji would not go down, as he was trying to suck it up and fight back. Brute scores another near fall with another Gladiator Piledriver. The crowd is now getting behind Kenji. Brute nearly squashed Kenji in the corner with the Decapitator, and still Kenji kicked out. Brute then sends Kenji into the corner and punches him in the face almost at will. Kenji uses his hand to stop another Head Butt and sends Brute to the corner, only to be stunned by an elbow. A vicious chop takes Kenji down, and a fist to the face hurts Kenji, who now is becoming black and blue. Crowd is still rallying behind Kenji. A Gladiator Piledriver takes Kenji down again, and a Running Clothesline scores another near fall for Brute. It's been pretty much all Brute from the beginning. A small cut is opened on the side of Kenji's head. Brute sends Kenji outside again and tries to introduce him to a table, but Kenji sends Brute headfirst into the table, and Brute now has a minor cut on his head. Kenji sends Brute out of the ring, and Brute promptly whips him to the guardrail. Back in the ring, Brute hits another Running Clothesline and sends Kenji to the outside, and this time Kenji sends Brute to the rail. Kenji locks in the Kimura on Brute inside the ring, but Brute escapes. Kenji takes Brute down with a side kick and a Throat Chop off the ropes. Kenji flattens Brute with a Flying Shoulderblock and Brute is down again. Kenji sends Brute to the outside and tells him to come on, sparking a violent brawl. The crowd is going nuts! Brute gets the better of it, and back in the ring hits another Running Clothesline. A knife edge chop scores another near fall for Brute, and the fans are solidly behind Kenji as he won't quit. Brute again sends Kenji out, and as he heads out to meet him, Kenji lands a shot to the face, causing Brute to stagger backwards. Kenji locks on the Kimura, but Brute is still too strong. Kenji goes for the Ankle Lock, and again Brute escapes. Another Ankle Lock, another escape by Brute. A Knee Bar, and Brute escapes, but barely. Kenji is back in the match. Kenji is relentless, applying another Ankle Lock, which Brute fights out of. And another, and another kick out. Kenji continues working the ankle, and Brute is severly weakened after fighting out of one submission after another. Kenji goes for a home run off the top rope, and Brute, now limping, throws him off the top rope. Brute attempts a Bear Hug, and Kenji escapes. Brute hits another Gladiator Piledriver, and Kenji gets back to his feet. Crowd absolutely insane at this point. Brute chokes down Kenji, sends him out of the ring, and hits a Power Bomb on the floor. Kenji, black, blue, and beaten, cannot beat the 10-count back in, and Brute, who can barely stand, is declared winner by countout at 11:49
(NOTE FROM ME – THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 14 PIN TOKENS IN THE MATCH)
As Kenji slowly gets to his feet, he and Brute exchange a long stare. The crowd gives Kenji a loud and long standing ovation, which Kenji accepts with grace, despite his pain and bruises. Spike and Jim Cornette come out to help Kenji to the back.
PAUL – That would have been our second major upset tonight. Kenji very nearly beat Brute, and very nearly had him knocked out from his relentless submission attack. He was giving up 7 inches and 115 pounds, was nearly beaten in the early going, yet fought all the way back and nearly won. Who's to say, perhaps if he hadn't went to the top rope, it would be different. Kenji has nothing to be ashamed of.
We go to the locker room, where most of the Men's Roster is with Kenji as he is attended to on the trainer's table. Harley Race comes in and locks eyes with Kenji, who sits up. Harley says “Hell of a match, kid, that big goon won't forget that one for awhile” and extends his hand, which Kenji shakes. Kenji says “Thank you sir, now go beat up his buddy”. Harley nods, smiles, and leaves.
Madusa Miceli walks in, places a hand on Kenji's leg, and says “You're a winner to me”. Kenji says thanks, as Madusa squeezes his hand. Kenji says “Kick her ass”. Crowd pops! Madusa winks and walks off.
PAUL – Harley Race a straight up guy, that's something you don't see him do a lot of, if at all. MARK – According to the doctors, Kenji is severly beaten and bruised, but fortunately, nothing is broken. It is also rumored that Brute has left the arena for medical attention, Gene Okerlund, what do you know? GENE (Showing Brute, still in his ring gear, dragging one leg and limping to a waiting cab) - Gentlemen, Brute refused to talk to me, he was in a great deal of pain from the non stop assault on his right leg, hopefully we'll know more next week. Back to you. PAUL – That's a hell of an endorsement for the young martial arts expert, to be complimented by both Harley Race and Madusa Miceli, two of the greatest of all time. MARK – Indeed it is, Paul, and it's now time to see if Harley and Madusa can unseat the representatives of the Aethran Fight Club, as we head back up to Amber Gertner.
C4! UNIVERSAL WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP – STRAFE © VS MADUSA MICELI
Strafe wasted no time hitting a Decapitator and Ground Zero for a near fall. Strafe follows up with Terminal Height for another near fall. Strafe hits a Power Bomb, then tries for a Suplex, which Madusa reverses into a corner whip. Madusa follows up with punches to the face as Strafe is trapped in the corner. Madusa hits a Snap Suplex, sends Strafe to the corner again, and follows up with a Running Forearm Smash. Strafe ducks a Clothesline and hits a Strafe Shot to regain control and score another near fall. A Piledriver, Suplex, and Aethran Coup Cannon take Madusa down again. Another Power Bomb and another Ground Zero score another near fall. Madusa is now beginning to show the effects of Strafe's offense as the crowd begins to rally behind her. Strafe sends Madusa to the outside, Body Slams her on the concrete, and throws her back into the ring. Strafe tries Ground Zero again, and Madusa once again kicks out. Another Ground Zero and another kickout. Madusa now has a slight cut on her arm, but not major. Strafe goes for Terminal Height again, and this time Madusa has no answer. Time of the fall 4:56. Strafe retains the C4! Universal Women's Championship in a dominating performance.
C4! UNIVERSAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP – RUSH (c) VS HARLEY RACE Harley Race was not really used to hearing the cheers of the fans during his long career, but the fans were solidly behind him after his nice gesture toward Kenji earlier in the night. But like Strafe before him, Rush started quickly, sending Harley to the corner and hitting a Running Forearm Smash. Rush choked down Harley, who fought it and would not stay down. Rush hit an Aethran Arrow and Harley would not go down. Rush then hit a Sky Bomb Stunner and finally Harley was down. Rush hit Adrenaline Rush for a near fall. Another Stunner and a DDT took Harley down again. Rush then hits a Flying Shoulderblock and Harley is starting to show signs of being hurt. Rush hit a Gladiator Piledriver and The Tempest for another near fall. Rush tried to choke Harley down again, and Harley shoved him away. Rush tried a Spinning Heel Kick and Harley shrugged it off, telling Rush to bring it. Crowd is going crazy at the Harley Race comeback. Harley staggers Rush with a Head Butt, brings him down with a Suplex, and scores a near fall with the Piledriver. Harley, undaunted, hits a second Piledriver and scores the pinfall and the Championship. Crowd pops huge! Time of the fall 4:40, Harley Race is your new C4! Universal Heavyweight Champion, avenging his earlier loss to Rush in the process.
After the match, Warhammer runs down to ringside as he and Rush begin beating down Harley Race. Out of the back, Kenji runs down to help Harley Race and the two fight off Rush and Warhammer as Kenji raises Harley Race's hand in victory and they shake hands.
MARK – Gene Okerlund making his way to the ring right now as Harley Race accepts the cheers of the fans alongside Kenji. GENE - Harley, talk to me, you're the new C4! Universal Heavyweight Champion, what about it? HARLEY – Gene, I told you, and I told all these fans, the kind of greatness that is Handsome Harley Race cannot be denied, and tonight, the Aethran Fight Club learned that they will NOT walk in here and take over (Indicates Kenji) This young man went through a bigger WAR then I did tonight, and he did not have to help me, but even after being powerbombed on the concrete and helped to the back, and sending a much bigger man to the hospital with a mangled leg, he came out to help me. I owe this young man a debt of gratitude, and I owe all you fans (Great pop) a debt of gratitude as well, as you proved to an old man that he's still got it! SPIKE (Appears at top of ramp) – Harley Race, allow me to congratulate you on your victory. I now have to inform you that Rush has invoked his rematch clause, which the Ratings Committee has accepted, so next week YOUR first title defense will be a rematch against Rush (Rush stands next to Spike) RUSH – Harley Race you were LUCKY tonight! The Aethran Fight Club is coming for you and Kenji as well. Brute can't walk, he might be in a wheelchair, and we won't stand for it. GENE – There you have it, back to you guys (Harley, Kenji, Rush, and Warhammer continue to argue in the background) MARK –What a night! (sighs) PAUL – We've had it all tonight. A referee taken to the hospital, an Aethran taken to the hospital, a gritty, gutsy performance by a young man named Kenji, and a new Universal Heavyweight Champion. And next week, we get to do it all over again. I'm just hoping we can top this week. I'm probably like the fans, I'm going home exhausted. MARK – And with that another C4! Explosion draws to a close. For Paul Ellering, Amber Gertner, Gene Okerlund, and Spike, I'm Mark Lowrance. We'll see you this week on C4! Blast Zone. Good night everybody!

This week on C4! Blast Zone
- We talk to Kenji after his brutal #1 Contender's Match with Brute....And speaking of Brute..... - Brute literally dragged himself to a cab after his match with Kenji. Has he been injured? The rumors are flying, and we'll sort them out - Who will be selected to replace the suspended One Man Gang and the departed Abraham Lincoln on the Men's Roster? - Who will replace the departed Amber O'Neal on the Women's Roster? - Will Brute need to be replaced on the Men's Roster? - How will all of this affect C4! Explosion this coming weekend?
All the answers with Mark Lowrance on C4! Blast Zone, this Thursday on Fox Sports Ohio

C4! BLAST ZONE - THURSDAY 9/11/14
We take a moment to remember those we lost on 9/11, those we have lost defending our freedom, and those who still defend our freedom today, on this, Patriot Day.
We come to you live from an empty Dayton Convention Center. Your host is Mark Lowrance.
MARK - We welcome you to another edition of C4! Blast Zone, right here from the Dayton Convention Center in beautiful downtown Dayton, OH. I'm your host, Mark Lowrance.
Wrestling fans are still buzzing about C4! Explosion, Volume 4, last Saturday night. It was a ton of wild, wooly explosive action from beginning to end, and it all started innocently enough on the kickoff show as Star Warrior, in his debut, took on Abraham Lincoln, who needed the win to stay on the active roster. We go to highlights, Star Warrior VS Abraham Lincoln
MARK - Warrior....reverse piledriver buckles Abe PAUL - Abe's been gashed open badly, he's a bloody mess MARK - Warrior with the cover, one, TWO, and Abe won't quit.......Warrior now picks up Abe, who is just COVERED in blood....another reverse piledriver PAUL - This has got to be it..... MARK - One, TWO.......Abe kicks out again (big crowd pop)......How is he doing it! VICIOUS CHOP by Warrior and Abe goes down like he's been shot.....One, TWO, Three....Warrior with the win (Warrior helps Abe up and raises his hand)
MARK - And it continued right into the next match, as the masked Jigsaw took on One Man Gang. Now One Man Gang had been having his problems with smaller, faster opponents, and those problems finally boiled over in this match. Take a look.....
MARK - Jigsaw sends Gang to the outside, Gang now daring Jigsaw to come outside and fight him. JIGSAW going right at Gang, and we've got a donnybrook (Jigsaw and Gang brawl violently as the referee tries to break it up, ref pushes Jigsaw away and Jigsaw complies. Ref pushes Gang away and Gang shoves the ref and gets the DQ) Gang from behind lays out Jigsaw! OH MY GOD, GANG JUST SPLASHED THE REFEREE!
MARK - The referee would be wheeled away on a stretcher and Gang dragged from the arena in handcuffs with Jim Cornette announcing his immediate suspension, which we'll talk more about later. Now we move on to probably the greatest match in C4!'s short existence so far, it was last week's #1 Contender's Match between Kenji, the martial arts expert, and Aethran Fight Club veteran Brute. This all started when Gene Okerlund was interviewing Strafe, who began making disparaging comments about her opponent that night, Madusa Miceli. Madusa faced off with Strafe, which brought out Brute. Kenji came to Madusa's side and faced down Brute, and they parted with a tense staredown (We now go to highlights of the match). Brute just begins beating down Kenji mercilessly, and Kenji just refuses to quit, kicking out of every pin attempt. They begin to brawl out of the ring, and at this point the tide seems to turn for Kenji, even though Brute gets the better of him. Here, Brute tries to throw him out of the ring, now see Kenji play possum, and as Brute tries to come out, Kenji lands a solid right fist to Brute's face and staggers him backward. At this point, Kenji began making his comeback, and although Brute would have some more moments, including a flying elbowsmash outside the ring, Kenji would not quit. You hear the crowd at this point chanting Kenji's name, as he begins working on Brute's right leg and right arm, with ankle locks, knee bars, and his version of the Kimura, and here Brute is really hurt but refusing to submit as well. Finally they end up outside the ring again, and Brute, despite being severly hurt, manages to power bomb Kenji on the concrete and get the countout victory, but not without a price, as Brute literally dragged his right leg all the way back to the dressing room and out to an awaiting cab. Kenji was visited in the locker room by practically all of the Men's Roster, as well as Harley Race and Madusa Miceli, for his courageous effort against Brute while giving up 150 pounds (End highlights)
MARK - Kenji joins me now (Indicated Kenji, who is seated next to him in a track suit) to talk about his great night. Kenji, you were black, blue, red, and a little bit bloody after that war you had with Brute. How are you feeling now? KENJI - All things considered, I don't feel that bad. I've been using massage therapy and a hot tub, and it seems to be working. I plan on being good to go for this Saturday and whomever my opponent will be. MARK - So nothing was broken then? KENJI - No, nothing was broken. I think it was because I'd worked his right arm and right leg pretty good, and he couldn't get the power generated that he usually does on the powerbomb, but, because he'd pounded me pretty good up to that point, it sent a shockwave through me. I saw stars for a minute and by the time I got my bearings the referee was up to eight, and I couldn't make it in time. I was run through the concussion protocol process and given a clean bill of health in that area as well. MARK - It seems like you were lucky in a way. KENJI - Perhaps. When I felt him start to drive me downward, I remembered to tuck my head, and I think that helped. I still replay that match in my head and can remember specific moments, so mentally I'm OK. MARK - Later that night, Harley Race took on Rush, and beat him for the Universal Heavyweight Championship. Rush then decides to call on Warhammer and they beat on Harley Race. After all you've been through that night, you ran out to help Harley Race. Why? KENJI - Well, he didn't have to come see me, or say what he did. That meant a lot that he did. I've researched Harley's career, and he pretty much kept to himself when he was World Champion, but man, he was tough, and when he talked, he meant it. I always liked that about him, so when I heard he was getting beaten down, it was a no brainer, I went to help him. MARK - Kenji, stick around, because I think you'll be interested in this next segment, as we're joined via satellite by our new Universal Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race. Congratulations Harley! HARLEY - Thank you Mark, did you ever doubt my ability? MARK - No, I've never doubted your ability, but this WAS the Aethran Fight Club HARLEY - And thanks to me and Kenji, they're not as bad as they used to be, now are they? MARK - Let's put you guys on the spot here, Harley Race vs Kenji. It could happen. KENJI - It would be a great match and I would welcome it HARLEY - Young man, while I appreciate your help last Saturday, I want you to know that while we would have a great match, I just don't think you're ready to walk with greatness just yet. KENJI - Well let's place a little bet on it. Loser shakes the winner's hand. HARLEY - It's a bet, young man. Keep up the good work and maybe that match will take place. MARK - Harley, I know you're a busy man, thanks for stopping in, and best of luck in your rematch against Rush Saturday. HARLEY - Thank you Mark
MARK - We are now joined by Spike, C4! owner, here live (Spike is indicated wearing a nice casual suit). Spike, a lot of rumors flying around about One Man Gang, Brute, and whatnot, can you clear up some of these? SPIKE - I can clear up all of these. Let's start with One Man Gang. After visiting the referee in the hospital, he has three cracked ribs and a bruised kidney. He did not deserve what was done to him, and for that reason, I am upholding One Man Gang's indefinite suspension and he will be replaced on the Men's active roster.
Now let's talk about Brute. I was able to track him down at a medical facility after the match. Brute could not put any weight on his right leg or fully use his right arm. For him to win the match he had with Kenji proves just how tough he really is, but that being said, Kenji did a number on him. Brute was diagnosed with strained knee ligaments, a slight kneecap dislocation, and some torn ankle ligaments as well. Because of the two Kimuras he had to endure, his right arm has been placed in a sling. Brute will be out of action for about six weeks or so, and he's not one bit happy about it. All he would tell me was that he wants Kenji when he gets back KENJI - Bring him on SPIKE - Now it's time to talk about new roster members. Due to Saturday's events we need to replace One Man Gang, Abraham Lincoln, and Brute on the active roster. By blind draw I have chosen all three replacements and they are.......the American Dragon Bryan Danielson, the Space Cowboy Sly Drury, and POW Star Gordo. On the women's side, replacing Amber O'Neal will be Victoria. All four of them will be wrestling for the first time in C4! Saturday night. MARK - Spike, thanks for coming on and putting all these rumors to rest. SPIKE - My pleasure MARK - Kenji, thanks for joining us as well (Kenji nods) and that will bring us to a close here today on C4! Blast Zone. For Spike and Kenji, I'm Mark Lowrance, and we'll see you Saturday for C4! Explosion. Until then, good night everybody!

C4! EXPLOSION – SATURDAY 9/13/14
After last week's wild card, we have another fighter suspended, a fighter on the injured list, another one that lost his spot due to losses, a new Universal Heavyweight Champion, and a new fan favorite in Kenji. Will everyone be on their best behavior tonight? Or will chaos reign supreme again?
We are live from Dayton Convention Center in Dayton, OH. Your hosts are Mark Lowrance and Paul Ellering. Mark and Paul welcome us to the show. Discussion starts off about the events of last week and the fact that we have a new Universal Heavyweight Champion. We head to the Highlight Reel to recap tonight's Kickoff Matches
PORTIA PEREZ D. VICTORIA at 3:18 with a SUPERKICK PAUL – Victoria making her debut tonight, but never could seem to get started, as Portia dominated this match and superkicked Victoria right out of her boots
ALERE LITTLE FEATHER D. KRISSY VAINE at 9:40 with ALERE DUST PAUL – Great back and forth match from both ladies, it was a case of who would leave the first opening or make the first mistake, and the Indian Warrior Princess capitalizes on an opening and hits Alere Dust for the victory

SLY DRURY D. GORDO at 6:00 with CRIME LORD PAUL – It was the Space Cowboy against the Texas bar fighter, it started out even, but Drury's deadly right hand repeatedly found its mark and became a great equalizer against a 170-pound weight disadvantage. It worked to perfection as Drury hits the last of his deadly right hands, then flattens Gordo with the running boot for the victory

JIGSAW at 5:56 with a FLYING HEADLOCK PAUL – Irslinger hitting on all cylinders tonight, overwhelming Jigsaw with technical wrestling then hitting one Flying Headlock after another, driving all his weight into Jigsaw's shoulders and neck each time. After the last one scored the victory, Jigsaw was somewhat short of breath and bleeding from the mouth, medics looking at him right now, let's hope he's OK
MARK – Yes Paul, let's do hope Jigsaw is OK, an exciting young wrestler and a fine young man. Let's head backstage right now to Gene Okerlund, who is with another fine young wrestler who is still the talk of C4! Fans since last week, Kenji GENE – Thank you very much Mark, Kenji, you're the talk of the town so to speak, knocking Brute out of action for some six weeks. Tonight it's Ultramantis Black for a possible #1 Contender's Match next week, what about it? KENJI – Gene, I'm ready to go, I think I showed everyone what I'm capable of last week, and.... (Ultramantis Black walks up to Kenji and makes a throat slash. Kenji picks up a pencil, holds it up to Black's face, and snaps it in two with one hand) Will it be arm, or will it be leg? (UB makes a move to attack Kenji, which Kenji dodges causing Black to fall to the floor. Black gets up quickly and backs away) GENE – This makes me wonder if perhaps the Aethran Fight Club is trying to send a message to the young martial arts expert, how about you Mark and Paul? PAUL – I have to say it did cross my mind MARK – Time will tell, but it does make one wonder. It's that time again. Amber Gertner looking lovely as usual, handling our ring announcing duties tonight, so let's head up to her for our opening bout, which features Kenji's female counterpart

In what is probably a world record (if such records are kept, that is) both ladies fight to a Double DQ at 1:08! They would end up fighting back to the locker room.

KENJI VS ULTRAMANTIS BLACK Black starts quickly, hitting a stunned Kenji with a La Sararina for a near fall. Black, not wasting any time, hits a full nelson slam, a flying lariat, and a Praying Mantis Bomb for the quick victory in 1:09. Was Kenji perhaps hurt more than he let on from last week?
MARK – It seems like we're getting crazy again, Paul. Jigsaw, it's been said, will apparently be out with a strained neck and a cracked rib after absorbing repeated Flying Headlocks from Henry Irslinger, and now of all people, Star Warrior, now indefinitely suspended after losing by DQ to Wolf and powerslamming the referee on the concrete floor, and now Kenji, after a brutal battle last week he narrowly lost, loses in only 1:09 to Ultramantis Black, and let's not forget the double DQ of Peggy Lee Leather and Penny Banner in only 1:08 PAUL – I'm beginning to wonder what's going on myself, Mark, planetary realignment, perhaps? It's hard to say. The competition is fierce here. If I'm Spike I'm wondering what I have to do to curb this wanton violence. MARK – And I'm told Spike will make a statement to that regard on this weeks “C4! Blast Zone”. But right now, it's title time, and back up to Amber Gertner we go.
#1 CONTENDER'S MATCH – AWESOME KONG VS MADUSA MICELI Madusa already holds two victories over Kong leading up to this week, and that has to weigh heavy on Kong's mind. GENE OKERLUND – Harley Race still retaining the C4! Universal Heavyweight Championship after a dominating win over Rush. Harley, what about it? HARLEY RACE – Mean Gene, you are in the rarified air where the greats walk! I told you, and I told these fans that I'd dismiss Rush tonight, and I did just that. I look forward to any contender that wants to step up to challenge me, I'm not going anywhere. (Spike enters the ring with Rhiannon) GENE – Our illustrious owner, Spike, now joining us along with new C4! Universal Women's Champion, Rhiannon, Spike, another great night of wrestling action here in C4! SPIKE – It was indeed, Gene, when there was actually wrestling (To Harley Race) Harley, stick around please.....Gene, I said at the beginning I wanted hard hitting action, but there's just too much going on that I don't like. Not enough matches being settled inside the ring, referees getting sent to the hospital, I just don't like that. We're not going to be garbage wrestling, I can tell you that. I've got some changes in the works with the Ratings Committee, and I'm meeting with Jim Cornette and Tammy Lynn Sytch tomorrow, we're going to start doing things a different way (faces Harley Race and Rhiannon). Harley, you're a tough guy, and Rhiannon, if you'll excuse the expression, you're a tough chick, and I'd like you two at the meeting tomorrow, I promise you your championship reigns will not be affected, you have my word. You both are champions until you are beaten for your belts. I plan on joining Mark Lowrance on C4! Blast Zone this Thursday and I'll let everyone know what's going on. Thanks Gene (Spike leaves the ring with Harley Race and Rhiannon)
MARK – Now I'm really confused. PAUL – I am too. MARK – Something obviously distressing Spike to the point that he's going to make major changes, and I imagine we'll hear about them this week PAUL – I'm going to be watching to see what all this is. MARK – Well, nothing really left to say except congratulations to Rhiannon on her victory tonight, and for all the C4! Crew, I'm Mark Lowrance. We'll see you this Thursday for Blast Zone. Good night everybody!
