C4! EXPLOSION - VOLUME 7 - Saturday 9/27/14
C4! Wrestling comes to you tonight from its new home, The University Of Dayton Arena in Dayton, OH. The UD Arena, as it is known to the Flyer Faithful, is the home of the University Of Dayton Flyers basketball team, and shares a complex with Welcome Stadium, home of the University Of Dayton Flyers football team and many high school football teams nearby as well. It is a popular multipurpose arena which holds up to 14000 for wrestling, and has hosted more NCAA Basketball Tournament games than any other arena in history.
Your hosts for C4! Explosion – Volume 7 are Mark Lowrance and Paul Ellering
MARK – We welcome you to the beautiful University Of Dayton Arena, the new home of C4! Wrestling, for another episode of Explosion. Hello again everybody, Mark Lowrance alongside the architect of the Legion Of Doom and my broadcast colleague, Paul Ellering...
PAUL – It's about time you got that right, Mark Lowrance (smiles)
MARK – Let's talk a little about last week. Harley Race getting himself disqualified in his match with Rush for out of the ring violations (highlight footage rolls), he and Rush battle back to the locker room, taking out various security guards in the process, and then this happens....
(Footage is shown of Harley Race being piledriven by Rush, and then put through a table. Rush then throws the belt on Harley, kicks him in the ribs, and walks away disgusted)
PAUL – Rush gets the win, but because it was a win by DQ, Rush gets dropped to #4 in the rankings, most likely for having three tries to regain the belt and failing to do so. He can be right back in that drivers seat for next week, but for that to possibly happen, he'll have to defeat Kenji tonight, and Kenji already put out Rush's stablemate, Brute. Harley refusing to discuss whether or not he was injured by Rush and says he's ready for tonight against Rikidozan.
MARK – On the women's side, Strafe looking to regain the Women's Championship against Rhiannon, and based on current points, if she doesn't do it tonight, she may have to wait awhile.
PAUL – Good point, Mark, Awesome Kong knocking on the door with a three match winning streak, but tonight she has to get by Taichi and that won't be easy.
MARK – As always, let's recap our kickoff matches. First off, Saraya Knight over Victoria in 7:18 after the Bridled Rocking Horse. (Highlights roll)
PAUL – Victoria made this one last a lot longer than it should have, but Saraya dominant tonight, and as a result, Victoria now off the Women's Active Roster to be replaced next week.
MARK – Portia Perez defeats Kellie Skater at 3:03 with a Superkick
PAUL – Pretty even up to that point, Portia pulls that one out of nowhere and Kellie unable to answer.
MARK – Rain over Alere Little Feather in 6:34 with the Rain Drop
PAUL – Little Feather starts strong but Rain gets the win
MARK – Eddie Kingston and Steve Williams battle to a Double DQ in 6:05
PAUL – These two are both raw fighters, not sure if it was nerves or excess energy, but it ends up out of the ring where these two could not be controlled and the ref DQ's both of them.
MARK – Larry Hennig takes down Ed Strangler Lewis with The Axe in 2:55
PAUL – Strangler keeping Larry at bay with sound wrestling until he misses a charge and Larry attempts a rollup. As Strangler kicks out, Larry sets up and hits The Axe out of nowhere to flatten Strangler for the victory
MARK – Brian Danielson defeats Sly Drury with a Suicide Dive at 8:37
PAUL – Hard fought match by both fighters that saw Sly get busted wide open, you see here he's a bloody mess to the point where Brian had blood all over him. Drury getting stitched up, no word right now if he'll miss any time.
MARK – Let's head backstage to Gene Okerlund who is with Rush
GENE – I thank you Mark and Paul, Rush, you're facing the man that put one of your Aethran Fight Club brethren on the shelf, what about it?
RUSH – I HEAR THEM SNICKERING AND LAUGHING, I HEAR WHAT THEY SAY, ABOUT HOW KENJI BEAT UP BRUTE, TONIGHT I'LL AVENGE MY BROTHER, AND IF I HEAR ANY MORE LAUGHING FROM YOU I'LL TEAR YOUR SPINE OUT (Grabs Gene by the shirt)
GENE – Excuse me sir, you must have me confused for someone else (Security removes Rush). Rush a little fired up, will that take him to victory, or will it cost him against a cool, focused foe like Kenji? We'll find out later tonight....Mark and Paul, back to you
MARK – Let's now head up to the lovely Amber Gertner for our first match.

PENNY BANNER VS PEGGY LEE LEATHER
This is their third meeting. Penny has won one and the second one ended in a Double DQ. Penny, unexpectedly, went right after Peggy, hitting her with an airplane swing for a near fall. Penny, sensing Peggy's disorientation, went for a Sunset Flip and scored the pin at 1:10
MARK – What is going on here? Two wins in under 90 seconds in back to back matches!
PAUL – It's getting serious tonight, and the fans are getting restless about it (Some boos can be heard)
MARK – This next match will be a matchup of size against plain meanness. We go back to Amber....
NIKOLAI VOLKOFF VS WOLF
Wolf goes for the stomach claw right off the bat. Volkoff powers out, sends Wolf to the ropes, and flattens him with a chokeslam on the rebound. Volkoff with an eye rake to stop Wolf, then sends him to the ropes for a backdrop. Volkoff misses a legdrop. Wolf with kicks and then sends Volkoff out of the ring. Volkoff back in, catches Wolf on the top turnbuckle, and throws him into the ring. Volkoff with a stomp for a two count. Wolf escapes a slam and hits a Wolf Skullcrusher for the pin. Time 8:38
MARK – Great come from behind victory by Wolf
PAUL – One of the more little known holds in Wolf's arsenal, and he uses it to perfection tonight
DELIRIOUS VS HAWK

MARK – Five in a row for Ultramantis Black without a loss. He's on a major tear
PAUL – At this rate, he'll be in line for a title shot here shortly. George Hackenschmidt getting in very little offense, Black dominant tonight.
MARK – Gene Okerlund joins us here at the broadcast position, and Gene, after your little altercation with Rush tonight, what happened?
GENE – I can tell you, Mark and Paul, that Rush was given a stern warning in regards to threatening broadcast personnel, and in typical Aethran form he didn't seem too fazed by it. He said he would take his anger out on Kenji
PAUL – I think that would be a mistake on Rush's part, because if you look back at the Kenji-Brute match, Kenji made the mistake early of trying to match Brute's aggression. Once he backed off a little bit, he let Brute get out of control and then he started working the leg and the arm. I still think he would have won if he had stayed on that course, but he did put Brute out. If Rush wants to get back into the title picture he needs controlled fury right from the get go.
MARK – Our first #1 contender's match features a real slugger against a martial arts expert. It's Awesome Kong vs Taichi, and here we go.....

MARK – WOW! A quick, devastating performance by Awesome Kong
PAUL – Taichi said to be seeing stars, I mean, Kong gave her no leeway whatsoever, nearly snapping her neck with that vicious lariat, then an emphatic Awesome Bomb.
MARK – It's now time for the most talked about match of the night. Rush publicly stating he's going after Kenji on behalf of Brute, Kenji saying bring it on. It's time!

Kenji with a quick kick to the leg, a leg drop, and a throat chop to take Rush down immediately. Kenji sends Rush to the outside, and as he reenters the ring, Kenji lands a flying shoulderblock. Kenji with a Kimura, but Rush escapes. Kenji to the top rope, but Rush catches him and hits a superplex. Rush sends Kenji to the outside and then powerbombs him on the floor. Kenji is hurt. Rush sends Kenji back into the ring. Rush with Adrenaline Rush for the win at 2:19
MARK – Well, Rush gets the win, but Kenji still standing after the match, albeit in pain
PAUL – That may be enough to get Rush back to the title picture, we'll see
C4! UNIVERSAL WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP – RHIANNON © VS STRAFE
Strafe, perhaps motivated by Rush's victory in the previous match, hits Rhiannon with a Decapitator right off the bat for a quick near fall. Strafe heads to the top rope, Rhiannon meets her, and Strafe drops Rhiannon face first into the ring. Strafe with a powerbomb and a Strafe Shot, but Rhiannon too close to the ropes, and the ref stands them up. Strafe hits another Decapitator off the ensuing lockup. Strafe sends Rhiannon to the ropes. Rhiannon catches Strafe lowering her head and hits a piledriver. Rhiannon sends Strafe to the outside and they begin brawling, with Strafe getting the edge. Riki keeps up the pressure with slams and chops. Riki with an overhand chop that puts Harley down for the count at 5:42. Rikidozan is your new C4! Universal Heavyweight Champion.
MARK – Gene Okerlund in the ring right now with Rikidozan, Gene......
GENE – Japanese sensation Rikidozan defeating Harley Race tonight to become the new C4! Universal Heavyweight Champion, your fifth win in a row, talk about it....
RIKIDOZAN – Gene, I win for my country, and I hear what Aethran Fight Club say, if they want fight me, I fight them.
GENE – Rikidozan, thank you very much and congratulations, Mark and Paul, back to you.
MARK – Thanks Gene, joining us right now is C4! Owner Spike, and Spike, you've got the current ratings in your hand, I'm guessing?
SPIKE – That's right Mark, starting with the women, Awesome Kong finally gets her title match as she takes on new champion Strafe, and in the women's #1 Contender match, Rhiannon gets a chance to redeem herself as she takes on the surging Penny Banner. In the Men's division, it's the match we've been waiting for, as Rikidozan, who's won five in a row and became champion tonight, takes on Ultramantis Black, who's also won five in a row. The men's #1 Contender match will see former champions Rush and Harley Race square off once again, they're familiar with each other so this should be a great match.
MARK – And there you have it folks, of course we'll have more to talk about come Thursday on Blast Zone, but until then, for Paul Ellering, Spike, Gene Okerlund, and Amber Gertner, I'm Mark Lowrance saying Good Night Everybody!
