The Creek Rises Question for you about the Rumble, was half the arena empty? There was a couple of quick shots where it looked like the Hard Cam side of the arena was practically a ghost town. It was announced as a sellout (15,170, I think) and the place seemed pretty packed (except, of course, for the dark area behind the Royal Rumble entrance stage). I can say that at 7:30 there were a lot of empty seats, and people were still arriving after 8. And as I mentioned before, during the U.S. title match what seemed like half of the section I was in (upper bowl) left to go get something to eat.

I was at the Rumble as well. My observations:
The crowd was pretty hot the whole night. The Kalisto/ADR match being the exception. Sandow got a great pop. The fans really want to see more of him. Ko vs Ambrose was such a great match and the crowd seemed to be split until near the end when it was more an Ambrose crowd. Still a lot of disappointment that KO did not win. The New Day are super over right now. The crowd ate everything that they did up. A lot of hate towards the Uso's. I personally like them but they are growing a bit stale. I also think there is a bit of resentment because they won tag team of the year and they weren't even a tag team for most of it. Kalisto/ADR was the bathroom break as someone already mentioned. I think they are trying to hard to turn Kalisto into Mysterio 2.0. Charlotte and Becky was a decent match but we've seen better out of both of them. Adding Sasha, who got a big pop, will hopefully breathe some life into those two. The roof CAME OFF when AJ came out!! I just watched the Rumble and tv does not do justice to the reaction that he got. I legit had chills when "PHENOMINAL" flashed on the screen from the atmosphere of the building!! I've read where people are saying that they were surprised that the Orlando crowd knew who he was. Are you Effing kidding me? For 11 years he wrestled less than 15 minutes from the Amway Center and an Orlando crowd wouldn't know who he is? Anyway. The Rumble match was great for the most part. A lot of corner stalling by Jericho and Reigns. AJ was initiated just fine as he took a bump for every guy that entered after he did. The beatdown of Reigns distracted from what happened to Kofi. I still don't know how he was eliminated. HHH got a big pop and I would like to refute what has been speculated on about him. Despite what everyone thinks of him; "only in his spot because he married the bosses daughter, won't let his ego put anyone else over, ect", he gets the reaction that he does because he is Triple freaking H!! Yes, he did get a huge reaction when he dumped Reigns. But he did get a good reaction when he dumped Dean and Dean was super over. Especially in that final moment with Trips and him. Reigns needs to work on more things. He is terribly close to becoming a "five move of doom" type of wrestler. He does his best promo work when he is just himself and having a good time. When he does the forced aggression promo; it kind of falls flat. Stop over emphasizing the phrase, "RIGHT NOW". Anyway, these are just my observations. Going to hulu now to watch RAW!

Ok, you guys are right. I let my bitterness get the better of me in the heat of the moment. There's no right or wrong. If you didn't like it, totally fine. I hope it didn't should like I was saying it was great and I thought everyone should too. I just like the 'fun' of the Royal Rumble match: not knowing who's next, how/when guys will get eliminated. TO me that trumps the actual people or storylines going into it. Not at all. The Rumble is my favorite PPV and for the exact reasons you gave. It just frustrates me to no end that WWE "lately" refuses to give the fans what they want, especially when it comes to being WWE champion. In any other promotion, Dean Ambrose winning most popular wrestler of the year for the 2nd year in a row in the PWI poll would be a ready made run with the title, if for nothing else to see what the guy can do as champ. But in WWE, it's ALL about ready-made Roman and it makes me ill...
