Just watched the Rumble match but thought it was great. Totally fine with Triple H winning. One of the better Rumble matches in recent history.

Hogan (over Andre), Benoit (before the tragedy), Bryan, the fans have had several over the years. It's just that fans are so jaded now, it would take their current darling winning for them to be satisfied before they sour upon him for getting pushed too much. You forgot Ultimate Warrior (over Hogan WM6), Steamboat (over Savage WM3) just two that our biggies

Ok, you guys are right. I let my bitterness get the better of me in the heat of the moment. BUT, finding out this morning that the AJ Styles shirt on sale at Shop WWE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT in 2 hours tells me I'm not the only one who thinks it's time to shake things up...

Oh I think A.J. will shake things up before too long. And I know there are those who will say he will job, but if Punk and Bryan can make it, Styles has a really good chance as well.

I'm starting to think they book the RUMBLE just to piss people off. And then they shove the darling down our throats until we hate him. But we are still watching.

I watched the Rumble match and, though I typically don't enjoy these big battle royal type matches, thought it was a very solid match. People complain about Triple H winning... the crowd popped HUGE for him. It's completely unreasonable to expect WWE to put the title on AJ Styles but they did put him over pretty huge. He lasted a long time in there and got lots of moments.
I know a lot of people don't like Reigns but I think he will be a great champion very soon. Maybe he isn't 100% there yet but I really believe he will get there.
Last but definitely not least... does anyone else think it's time for Jericho to start wearing a shirt to the ring? The guy hasn't seen a weight bench in years.

The fans sort of had a WM moment when Bryan won the gold. To think the WWE had any plans for Bryan to win the gold or be in the main event is awfully naïve. That was more the product of an organic movement the WWE could not crush (and oh did they try). The WWE does just enough with the "internet darlings" (e.g. Owens), to keep the fans at least content, but WWE will ultimately make every effort to push "their" guys. I will stand by my conclusion when the indy darling of the month (Ownes, AJ, Ambrose etc.) never wins the WWE title.
By no means am I knocking the indy darlings. It is just the reality of the WWE.
