Rogers over Savage in the final, but could see Duggan sneak in there somehow with a DQ finish or two.

Gotta think Thesz and Rogers face-off, and I expect we'll have Savage and Animal. I'm going to say Thesz beats Animal in the finals.

Thank you to everyone who picked a winner and to all those who are checking out the action as we move along.
Lou Thesz (1) v. Rob Van Dam (8)
Ringside is electric before the start of this one. Handshake gets the action going. Struggle at the lock up and Van Dam gets sent into the ropes. A backdrop is countered with a piledriver. Van Dam goes to the top but Thesz tosses him off to the mat. Cobra clutch suplex puts Van Dam onto his head and Thesz quickly hooks the leg for a 2 ΒΎ count (R3/P2). GRECO-ROMAN BACKDROP but Van Dam kicks out (R11/P5). Double wristlock and Van Dam escapes to the floor. Thesz comes outside. Van Dam grabs a chair but Thesz wrestles it away and cracks Van Dam with it. Morgan Dollar calls for the bell and Thesz is out of the tournament via disqualification. The fans are stunned. Next . . . Buddy Rogers (4) v. Pamero Firpo (21)

Shouldn't go swinging chairs, Thesz.

Yikes! There goes my pick to win it all... Fully expect Rogers to end Firpo's fortunate run... Very exciting!

Lou Thesz out by DQ - incredible. The cool thing is that RVD remains alive in the tournament. Thankfully Animal vanquished Rock Riddle as I feared Riddle going all the way to the finals if he won there. As for who is left Iam pulling for Randy Savage as even though that would deprive us of Hawk vs. Animal we could get a "Macho Man" vs. RVD final. The big obstacle there is really Buddy Rogers who I see going over Pampero Firpo and possibly RVD as well. So many possibilities but that is why this tournament is so awesome.

Thanks again for the comments everyone.
Buddy Rogers (4) v. Pamero Firpo (21)
The fans are giving it to Morgan Dollar before the match and he does not look pleased. He has had some questionable calls this tournament. Rogers starts strong with a hip toss and jumping knee smash. Elbow drop lands and an atomic drop for a quick two count from Dollar (R6/P4). Another elbow drop lands followed by an atomic drop. Rogers then traps Firpo in a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE but Firpo guts it out and makes the ropes (R10/P9). Firpo attempts to counter a deathjump but gets shoved to the mat. Firpo gets tossed to the floor. Rogers rams a chair into the knee of Firpo at ringside and the fans are all over him. Rogers then tosses Firpo to the floor again this time puts Firpo leg in the chair and stomps on it. Firpo gets tossed back to the floor again and this time Rogers chop blocks Firpo. The heat for the Nature Boy is unreal. Rogers works over Firpo in the ring with dropkicks and jumping knee smashes. Hard punches lands but Firpo fires back. Rogers blocks a charge to the corner with a knee. Firpo is rebounded in to a back elbow. Piledriver plants Firpo and a back elbow downs him again. Jumping knee smash connects and Rogers hooks the leg for a two count (R8/P6). Atomic drop spills Firpo the floor and Rogers tosses him out again. Outside, Rogers eats the ringside table and the fans come to life. EL GARFIO but Rogers makes the ropes (R8/P4). Firpo tosses Roger to the floor and Nature Boy uses Dr. Lano as a human foreign object whipping him into Firpo. Rogers goes on an impressive run but Firpo refuses to go down. Piledriver and jumping knee smash rock Firpo. Tackle in the corner crushes Firpo and then Rogers nails another jumping knee smash but Firpo is able to get the shoulder up (R10/P7). Firpo comes back with a heat butt but Rogers counters an attack with Firpoβs hair and drops in a jumping knee smash. Atomic Drop spills Firpo to the floor. Rogers comes outside but Firpo turns the momentum and runs Nature Boy into the ring post. Rogers is busted open. Firpo takes the action back to the floor and they trade blows. Firpo lands three consecutive deathjump smashes the fans can taste the upset in the making. Backbreaker sets up EL GARFIO and Rogers cannot make the ropes or counter. Firpo makes an epic comeback to advance (R4/P5).
next match . . . βMacho Manβ Randy Savage (2) v. Road Warrior Hawk (10)

Enjoying the tournament so far but there goes my pick Rogers. Go Firpo!
That Firpo card is a beast as since his debut he has made an impact in my fed as well. Big feud with Randy Savage and recently was a sole survivor of an 8-man elimination tag match. EL GARFIO is a big offensive weapon.

Well, it certainly seems like we're making up for the lack of upsets during the opening round... Another huge victory for the Wild Bull of the Pampas... Could he go all the way? Stranger things have happened...
It's going to be tough for Hawk to get past Macho Man... But, I'm still hoping for that Hawk vs Animal encounter... What a rush!
