You know going back to something someone said earlier that color was the natural evolution of the game, I gotta question - will Legends 2126 be in 3D? Cause that would be awesome especially if Phantasy or She Devil got an update! I'm starting the movement right now! Legends 2126 in 3D!!! I will be right there to [censored] and moan when the CotG direct link up to you head goes public. Also Cat, adding your name here to the B&W club is fine, but I have to say, the PDF plagiarizing thing is kind of a strawman. There is other set already on PDF.

Personally, I think PDFs are plagued by the thought that you could make a single sale and everyone has access...I know it's not as extreme as THAT, but still, it's not a completely ignorable point. I concur. This is not an issue that I would ignore. Despite the fact that there are older sets (and a couple of newer ones) available via pdf, the issue of illegal copies is something to consider. I have heard of multiple attempts by promoters to solicit help in this (illegal) endeavor. Printed cards however, if there is sufficient interest, do not suffer from that particular cavaet. They suffer from the cost of printing/storing cavaet instead and if there is sufficient interest (I'm not saying Tom needs to generate interest), he can make the sales seperate from the colour release and delay their availability to encourage those resistant to join in on the colour. However, this is all moot if it turns out that there isn't enough interest. The terms "Limited Edition" "Collectors Item" and "While Supplies Last" can be a very effective hook for something that was just said isn't going to happen. I think that we certainly agree on this. We might disagree on what constitutes "sufficient interest" in this case.

Any digital content can be duplicated and distributed ad infinatum at no cost. This should be considered with any digital media. With actual cards there it's not considered an issue as there is cost involved with illegal distribution in the form of material, printing and mailing and the time and effort required therein. And for the record, I'm not joining any club. I said earlier that my perspective on the matter was neutral. There are many for the dropping of B&W and some against. I am for, I understand the necessity of going fully colour. But I can also consider the opinions of those against as well as possible ideas on how to accomodate them, if their number is sufficient to warrant consideration. I don't feel that is a wrong position to take. As well, with the number of times I've said that I'm behind the change to colour, I don't see how you can suggest that I've joined some group that opposes it.

Man, Splattercat doesn't say much; but when he does, he is always reasonable and level-headed.

I guess I shouldn't be but I am kind of surprised, I thought our little community here was somewhat insulated from that. But they still do sell them , right?

I've had a chance to look over 2125. I'm not going to discuss the old cards, but I will say the color really makes everything stand out for them. The new set of cards are simply awesome. Banks and Werner hit this set out of the park. I like Bloodline, Tauran, and Anivar's new art. The coloring of the symbiote on Symbiosis' back is really cool. Tricks is so freakin' dark lookin'; I love it! However, I have to say that Hector is my favorite. His card is just so damn awesome! That picture is worth a thousand words!

After a move a few years back, I lost a couple of cards, so I back up everything now. Not encouraging people to go out and do this for their friends or anything, but the technology out there makes it pretty easy, even if they are cards and not a .pdf

If not, I'm in a heap of trouble with the law for my whole life up to this point.

Normally you buy the media and not the method of delivery.
This is true of all film and music etc. The CD is only the method of delivery and you have purchased a licence to own that recorded media.
Interestlingly, this does not apply to the games industry, where you are purchasing the disc itself.
How and where this applies outside of the UK and to printed wrestler cards I have no idea.
In fact having said that, I don't know why I'm bothering!
