Rogers had two world title shots that year and one on March 17, 2117, but none since then. CLASH OF THE CHAMPIONS V Juan Lobriel Stadium Bayamon, Puerto Rico July 30, 2119 NWA WORLD JR. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Delirious def. Brad Armstrong (ch) Only five weeks ago Brad Armstrong won the title from Adrian Street at ICW SuperClash IV. In his first title defense he met the Mexican Light-heavyweight champion Delirious. It was a very evenly fought contest with many ups and downs for both men. The Chemical Imbalance and then the Cobra Stretch finally finished off Armstrong and made Delirious a two-time World Jr. heavyweight champion! Bobby Eaton & Tom Prichard def. The Tolos Brothers by D.Q. Jimmy Hart's Canadia Maggia decided to jump Jim Cornette's men, so not only Bobby Eaton returned to help Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey but so did Dr. Tom Prichard. Early in the match Eaton landed the Vegomatic on Chris and John Tolos came in the ring. The Tolos Bros. excessively double-teamed and after shoving the referee were disqualified. Joyce Grable def. April Hunter It was Bobby Eaton who put in a call to Joyce Grable to come and help deal with April Hunter always getting involved in matches involving Hot Stuff Incorporated. There hadn't been a womens match in the former USWA or the NAWA in quite a long time with the IWWF currently operating out of Japan. The ladies put on a show with Big Red on top early then Grable battled back and was able to win with a middle rope dropkick (April 4 coins). Kevin Steen def. Val Venis Jimmy Hart's man lost by countout to Val Venis in the North American title #1 contender tournament. The Maggia wanted to put the record straight and did so with a moonsault to pin Venis. The Tolos Brothers rushed out again to put a three-way beatdown on Venis, showing the Maggia don't care who they attack and are putting everyone on notice. Russian Chain Match Eddie Gilbert def. Bill Dundee The hardcore Puerto Rican crowd appreciated this match, but it didn't take long for Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert to score the pin on Dundee with the Hot Shot. He continued to batter Dundee with the chain and was joined by Buff Bagwell. The Superstar had to be carted to the back. NWA WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP John Pesek (ch) def. Dick Hutton Hutton made the most of his title opportunity. He really went to work and several times seemed to have the title in hand. Pesek took the punishment but worked his way back into the match. Pesek retained the title with the double wristlock. Hutton held the TV title once some 15 months ago. NORTH AMERICAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Don Muraco & Bob Roop def. The Axe Attack (ch) The champs had not defended the titles for two months since beating Muraco & Roop at the Cauliflower Cup. DiBiase's enforcers didn't let this opportunity get away after winning a #1 contender tournament. They really worked over the champs and were never in any real danger of losing this match. The Hennigs fought on the defensive all the way. Finally Muraco was able to put Curt Hennig away with the Hawaiian Hammer to win the gold (Curt Hennig 5 coins). NORTH AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP The Mountie def. Dallas Page (ch) Jimmy Hart and the Canadian Maggia capture their first title. Dallas Page didn't slow the Mountie down very much and a pair of piledrivers brought about the end. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Midnight Express (ch) def. New Age Outlaws One of the all-time classic tag team matches and easily a match of the year candidate. It was ridiculous the amount of covers, saves, and the moves going back and forth. The Rocket Launcher on the Road Dogg finally ended this epic contest. NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Andre the Giant (ch) def. Buddy Rogers The Nature Boy was in a lot of trouble but held on didn't go down. Rogers got his shots in but the Giant proved to be too tough on this occasion. The big splash put Rogers away.

NAWA WRESTLING OUTBURST #12 Cincinnati, OH Aug. 6, 2119
PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK def. EDDIE GILBERT & BUFF BAGWELL
Londrick controlled the action in this one. The 450 splash by London put away Gilbert.
FRED BLASSIE def. BOB ORTON JR.
Blassie took it to the Cowboy and never letup. The Southern Neckbreaker ended this one.
BOBBY SHANE def. BOB ORTON SR.
A real good back and forth match. Shane caught Orton in an inverted atomic drop for the pin.
ED LEWIS def. DAN SEVERN
Severn fought and fought but Lewis was relentless. It took the side headlock many times but Lewis finally beat the Beast (Severn 5 coins).
LOU THESZ def. GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT
These two top world title contenders really went at it. They went round and round and round but Thesz won with the greco roman backdrop.
NEW AGE OUTLAWS def. THE AXE ATTACK
The Hennigs had this one won but all of a sudden it went the other way. Billy Gunn was nearly beaten but a save gave the NAO a chance. A double hot shot and sleeper by the Roaddogg beat Larry Hennig.
DALLAS PAGE def. TED DIBIASE
The Million $ Man's road to a world title shot hit a bump as the Diamond Cutter put him down for the three.
MIDNIGHT EXPRESS def. CANADIAN MAGGIA
The first eight-man tag with all of Jim Cornette's men together. The old Midnight Express - Eaton & Lane - did the deed with the Vegomatic on Chris Tolos, then another double team for the three count.
LUMBERJACK MATCH
BUDDY ROGERS def. HARLEY RACE
Another tremendous battle between these two bitter rivals. Race hit the piledriver three times during the match. Rogers looked done but the match kept going and his figure four brought him the win.

NAWA WRESTLING OUTBURST #13 Mayaguez, Puerto Rico Aug. 13, 2119
HOT STUFF INCORPORATED def. JERRY LYNN, PAUL LONDON, BRIAN KENDRICK
Eddie Gilbert's team dominated this matchup. Jerry Lynn was pummeled and the injured Bill Dundee tried to help but was none at all. Gilbert put away Lynn and a brawl ensued after the match.
DALLAS PAGE def. DAN SEVERN
This one came close to the time limit. Page finally overcame the Beast with a neckbreaker.
NEW AGE OUTLAWS def. THE ORTONS
An amazing match as the Ortons wouldn't stop fighting back. All four men were completely exhausted when it was finally all over (NAO 7 coins, Ortons 5 coins).
THE MOUNTIE, KEVIN STEEN def. BOBBY EATON, TOM PRICHARD
Jim Cornette's men were on fire and absolutely dominated the match with multiple finishers. Both of the Canadian Maggia took a beating but it was Jimmy Hart's men pulling it out with Steen putting a crossface on Prichard. All four kept the fight going after the match.
THE AXE ATTACK, JIM BRUNZELL def. THE MILLION $ CORPORATION
Jim Brunzell got some help in the former North American tag champs against the men who put B. Brian Blair out of commission. His team was on top most of the way and Curt Hennig rolled Don Muraco up off the ropes for the pin.
GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT def. HARLEY RACE
A real even match until Hackenschmidt got the bear hug on Race. Then it was a matter of time as Race couldn't escape and Hackenschdmit wouldn't let go until it was all over.
BUDDY ROGERS def. RICK RUDE
The Ravishing One kept pace until the Nature Boy got the Figure Four on and the bell rang.
FRED BLASSIE def. LOU THESZ
Thesz maintained control but couldn't put Blassie away. They kept going at it until the southern neckbreaker by Blassie beat Thesz.
TOLOS BROTHERS def. MIDNIGHT EXPRESS
Stan Lane and Dennis Condrey annhilated Chris Tolos. John made the save and Jimmy Hart helped to keep his team alive. John somehow got a tag and a big knee knocked Condrey out for the pin. As the men brawled and were joined by the Mountie, Steen, Eaton and Prichard a foreign object was seen come out of John's knee pad.
NWA WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP ED LEWIS def. JOHN PESEK (CH)
A stunning win for how quick it happened. Once Lewis put the headlock on Pesek could not get out. Try as he might, Pesek couldn't break the hold and eventually Lewis scored his first career singles championship. After the bell rang Lewis was jumped by someone screaming about being the real strangler and he would show that to the new World TV champion.
