It should be noted that the Kangaroos received a thunderous ovation when they came to the ring, while the Legion of Doom were booed out of the building. Austin hit the Stone Cold Stunner finisher on Hogan, but Humperdink got in the ring to interfere and perhaps get Hogan disqualified so he could keep the belt. Instead, Austin hit the Stunner on Humperdink and then caught Hogan in the Back Suplex and got the 1-2-3. The building erupted when Austin’s hand was raised.

LEGENDS TELEVISION presents LEGENDS CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING MONDAY, JULY 11, 2011 TD GARDEN, BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS
ANNOUNCERS: Jim Ross, Gordon Solie & Mike Tenay, with Bill Apter conducting interviews
TONIGHT: Lou Thesz meets Ric Flair in a Number One Contenders match, with the winner going to Summertime Bruise ‘11 to meet the winner of the Steve Austin - Hulk Hogan World title rematch.
***RESULTS***
BRUNO SAMMARTINO (Bootleg) beat RANDY BARBER (Mister X card) with the Backbreaker finisher. This was Sammartino’s return to Legends Championship Wrestling, and he received thunderous applause here in Boston.
The FABULOUS KANGAROOS (Al Costello & Roy Heffernan) (w/ “Wild” Red Berry) beat AMISH ROADKILL & DANNY DORING when Costello beat Doring with the Boomerang finisher.
ZODIAC (Bob Orton Sr. card) (w/ Mr. Fuji) beat BRUISER BRODY (w/ Abdulllah Farouk) with three consecutive Piledriver finishers. After the match, Brody laid on the mat for a long time but eventually got up and left the ring under his own power, pushing away EMT’s and even Farouk as they tried to help him.
Interviewer Bill Apter and LWF GM Bill Watts brought out the new LWF World Champion, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, and congratulated him on winning the belt last week in Australia. Austin will have a rematch next week against Hogan, and the winner of that match will face the winner of tonight’s Thesz - Flair match for the belt next month at Summertime Bruise ‘11.
After Austin left the interview platform, Watts called out LWF Women’s World Champion Jazz, who has been trying to pick fights with male wrestlers as of late. Watts told Jazz that she can have a match against a male wrestler, but, first, she will need to successfully defend her belt next week against former champion Trinity DeNucci. Jazz said that was just fine with her, because “there is no competition in the Women’s Division.”
After Jazz left, Watts said he had one more order of business before resuming action, and he called out Superstar Billy Graham, who had been serving a suspension, and manager Captain Lou Albano. Watts said that, if he had his way, Graham would still be suspended for what he did to George Hackenschmidt, who is still suffering from a concussion and is not medically cleared to wrestle. Watts then said that, next week, Graham would be in a two-on-one handicap match. Graham and Albano started to complain, but Watts told them not to worry, they will be on the side with the man advantage because Albano is going to be Graham’s partner. The two men changed their tone when Watts said that. The GM continued, “So, let’s see the man you’ll be going up against next week.” Out comes … ANDRE THE GIANT! Graham and Albano ran from the 7’4” giant as Watts officially announced Andre vs. Graham & Albano next week.
JACK BRISCO (Bootleg) beat LARRY SHARPE with a Kneebreaker.
WRESTLE FOR YOUR LIFE -- LOSER LEAVES THE LWF -- WINNER GETS A WORLD CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE SHOT NIGEL McGUINNESS beat RED BASTIEN with the Jawbreaker Lariat finisher. Bastien now has to leave the LWF. On the other hand, McGuinness will challenge World Cruiserweight Champion Frank Gotch next week for the belt.
NON-TITLE MATCH STING (Crow card) (Bootleg) beat LWF World Cruiserweight Champion FRANK GOTCH with a Superplex.
RICK MARTEL (Bootleg) beat JOHNNY RODZ with a Running Cross Body Block.
MIRACLE VIOLENCE COMBINATION (Terry Gordy & Steve Williams) (w/ Bill Alfonso) beat The VALIANT BROTHERS (Jimmy & Johnny Valiant) (w/ Bobby Heenan) when Williams beat Johnny with a German Suplex.
LEGENDARY MAIN EVENT -- NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH LOU THESZ beat RIC FLAIR (Bootleg) with the Thesz Press finisher. Thesz will now meet the winner of next week’s Austin - Hogan rematch at Summertime Bruise ‘11 for the World Heavyweight title.
Next week’s show on Legends Television will be called “The Midsummer Classic.”
