Monday Night Massacre
07.19.2088 from Deimos Intergalactic Arena
- Show Opening -
Our show opens with Flamboyance and Sweet Thing coming to the ring to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Vanity grabs a microphone.
"Well, we've done it. We've become Galaxian Tag Team Champions! I knew it would happen. I'd like to thank all of our adoring fans across the galaxy. We couldn't have done it without you!"
Once again the booing increases in intensity and once again, Vanity seems oblivious to it.
"Thank you so much! It really is all very overwhelming. But I have to say..."
Vanity is interrupted by the Space Croppers music as Beast-Rider and Renegade make their way to ringside. The crowd finally erupts into cheers. Renegade grabs a microphone.
"Looks like you've really gone off the deep end this time. Don't you hear these people? They're booing you!"
Vanity looks shocked at this statement. Killer Queen and Sweet Thing do as well. It seems Vanity's delusion is rubbing off on them. Renegade continues.
"Yeah. Whatever. Look. Your old partner Renegade wants a shot at those titles. Me and Beasty are taking them from you. That's all there is to it. We want a match for those titles and we want it tonight!"
The crowd cheers. Vanity responds.
"Well, the thing is....Queenie's makeup artist is on vacation this week. He did an admirable job himself of course, but we couldn't possibly defend the titles without the look a professional could give to him. So how about this? We'll defend the titles against you at Stellar Slam. In the mean time, you and I can have a match tonight."
"OK, whatever. I want the titles tonight but really I just want to beat somebody up. You're on."
With that the two teams leave and we are ready for our first match.
Reptillo vs. Spike
Spike defeated Reptillo with a SUPER DESTROYER at 2:54
Match Notes: As expected, this match did not last long at all. Spike toyed with Reptillo for a minute or a half before really going in for the kill. The Animan couldn't even last for three minutes.
Commander Sam vs. Bishop Hell
Commander Sam defeated Bishop Hell with a DQ after a brawl outside the ring at 2:24
Match Notes: It seems Bishop Hell was a bit upset by his performance at War of the Worlds and he took it out on Commander Sam. They brawled outside and the referee had to call for the bell after Bishop Hell wouldn't stop hitting the Commander with whatever foreign object he could get his hand on.
- Behind Closed Doors -
We are shown a door in the backstage area that is opened just a crack. Muffled voices can be heard from within. They aren't loud enough to identify nor are they loud enough to hear the whole conversation. All we hear are little snippets.
"Hello.......... Allow.........introduce myself.......... My name......... As................... correspondence, I've..........manager........................................my services........... I take............invitation that.........interested....................offer."
".....................the offer is........"
"....very simple. I ..........................masked...................GWF. ..........two working for .............. I'd........................contracts over....... I................offer............than fair."
"How much?"
We hear the scratching of pen on paper and the sound of a sheet being slid across a table.
"Well..........good offer...................................replace. I .........................me and ...........................FDF. Well...............mole infiltrating...........................him back. .........take care of things."
"You've .........................time. I..................reveal myself.................... You can keep.................... Also.........suggestion. Death........................................guy and .....................................experience.......tag.............. I.......................together......call them..............If...................started..........appreciate it. I would compensate.......................this."
"OK, it's a deal."
Suddenly a security guard shows up and ushers the camera man away from the door.
Mesmer vs. Splatter
Mesmer defeated Splatter with a BLACKOUT at 2:29
Match Notes: Yet another quick match. Not much to say here. Mesmer hit Splatter with a Blackout early and Splatter was out cold. Didn't take much time at all.
Adam Blast vs. Comrade Terror
Comrade Terror defeated Adam Blast with a reverse knife-edge at 3:14
Match Notes: Comrade Terror continues his war on Terrans with a quick win over Adam Blast. After the win he grabbed a microphone.
"You see what happens? This is what's in store for every Terran in this Federation. And after I wipe them out, their friends are next. I am unstoppable!"
- Backstage with the Titans -
Titan Express is shown backstage. Pulsar is clearly frustrated by their situation.
"Look, I get it. I'm young. I'm inexperienced. I'm not even particularly good right now. I understand that but I'm working hard to better myself in the ring. But how am I going to gain any experience if you won't tag me in for an entire match?"
Pit Viper looks equally frustrated.
"Inexperienced. Not good. You'll get no argument from me. But I guess you're right. You need experience. Well guess what? It seems that Thantos has thrown together a new tag team. He's put Death Knight and Executioner together. Calls 'em the Headsmen. I kinda like the name I have to admit. But Death Knight is probably the poorest wrestler in this Federation. If there was ever a chance to gain some experience for you, this is it. And we have a match against them tonight!"
"Well that's great! Let's go!"
Titan Express vs. Headsmen
Executioner defeated Pulsar with a HEADSMAN GUILLOTINE at 14:55
Match Notes: It appears the troubles aren't over yet for the Titans. Instead of refusing to tag in Pulsar like in their last match, this time Pit Viper let Pulsar start...and refused to tag in to the match. Every time Pulsar tried to tag in Viper, Viper either looked away, stepped off the mat or pretended not to notice that Pulsar needed a tag. Eventually an argument in the Titan corner got pretty heated. While they were arguing, Executioner perched himself on the top turnbuckle and when Pulsar turned around, Executioner nailed him with a Headsman Guillotine for the win.
Greek Gods vs. Norse Gods
Proteus defeated Lightening with a Grecian Sleeper Grip at 10:18
Match Notes: A solid and entertaining match from start to finish as the Gods renew their rivalry. The former champs get back into the win column after Proteus put Lightening to sleep with the Grecian Sleeper Grip.
Renegade vs. Vanity
Vanity defeated Renegade with a PULVERIZER at 23:41
Match Notes: What an incredible match to close the show by the two former partners. This one had everything. There were high flying moves. There was brawling. There was solid technical wrestling. It really had something for everyone. Vanity eventually grabbed the upper hand and finished Renegade with a Pulverizer after a long back and forth encounter.
