I'm glad to see Flamboyance have the tag titles... something you don't see in a lot of feds in that period of time in the GWF. Looking forward to see what they do with the titles in their run.
Spike is on a roll... can't wait to see if he climbs to the top and gets a shot at Star Warrior's title.
Great job!
Every time I play through this game I wind up with off-the-wall tag team champions. I once had Asylum have a decent reign.
Every time I try to push Spike he falls flat. I can't wait for his card update.
Not only is he one half of the tag champs, but Vanity scores a major victory over Renegade in the main event... And he won it clean!
Pulsar is taught a tough lesson by Viper... Who can you trust? Choose your allies wisely and never stop questioning loyalty of others...
Really enjoyed the writing of the mysterious 'behind closed doors' segment... Can't wait to see where that's leading...
Excellent stuff!
I really can't figure out what's going on with Vanity. I've never had him (or Killer Queen) have much success before. But I'm glad; I like it when stuff like this happens.
The 'Behind the Doors' segment was fun to write. I actually wrote out a full conversation and then went back and put periods in place of some words. The resulting text is approximately as long as the actual conversation with the breaks between what you could hear and couldn't hear accurately represented.

Monday Night Massacre
08.02.2088 from Deimos Intergalactic Arena
- The Champion Finds An Opponent -
Our show opens with Star Warrior in the ring receiving an ovation from an excited crowd. He grabs a microphone and addresses the audience.
"My friends, after War of the Worlds I am proud to still be your Galaxian Champion!"
The crowd cheers and the champion continues.
"So I am once again in need of a new challenger. I think there are two who have been waiting some time for a title shot. I'd like to ask them to come to ringside so that we may discuss the situation. So Wolf, Krakan. If you could please come out, we can figure out how to handle this."
Wolf's music hits and the wildman runs down the aisle, slides smoothly in the ring and poses at each turnbuckle to a cheering crowd, giving them a howl at each corner.
Krakan's music then plays and the cheers for Wolf turn to boos very quickly. He walks down the aisle looking determined and grabs a microphone as soon as he enters the ring, wasting no time in making a challenge.
"Krakan wants his title back. You have ducked Krakan for too long. Krakan deserves his rematch. The rematch that Krakan has never received."
Wolf jumps in to interrupt.
"Hang on a second here. You've had the title. You couldn't keep it very long. I have yet to receive a shot at that belt. I deserve it. I want it. And I'm going to take it."
At this point Krakan and Wolf start yelling at each other and get into each other's faces. Star Warrior interrupts.
"Fellas, fellas. Hang on. Calm down for a minute. I have a solution that both of you may enjoy. I've discussed this plan with the Executive Committee and they are cool with it, so here's what we are going to do. Wolf. You are going to get your shot."
The crowd cheers but Krakan just scowls and screams at Star Warrior. Warrior holds up a hand and continues.
"Hang on a second, I'm not done. You see, the way this is going to work is Wolf will be getting his title shot at Season's Beatings in December. He will take on the winner of the match between Krakan and I at Stellar Slam. So Krakan, you get your shot at Stellar Slam. Wolf gets his at the following pay per view. If somehow I lose to you Krakan, I will not request a rematch until after Wolf gets his chance at War of the Worlds. Everyone agree?"
Wolf responds. "I'm in. And how about we warm up for those title shots with a match between me and Krakan in the main event tonight?"
Krakan nods his agreement and we are ready for our opening contest.
Greek Gods vs. Headsmen
Executioner defeated Proteus with a DQ after a brawl outside the ring at 3:34
Match Notes: A disappointing opening match. Very early on Executioner and Proteus wound up outside the ring. Death Knight distracted the referee as Executioner hit Proteus with a chair. The referee turned around just in time to see Proteus retaliate. He called for the bell and awarded the match to the Headsmen who are now 2-0.
Beast-Rider vs. Killer Queen
Beast-Rider defeated Killer Queen with a DQ after a brawl outside the ring at 5:45
Match Notes: Another match. Another brawl. Another disqualification. Not much to say here. Once again the referee misses one chair shot and sees only the retaliation. Not a good night for officiating so far.
- Titan Family Feud -
We join the Titans in their locker room as they try to figure out what's going on with Titan Express. Pulsar looks dejected. Trainer Jim, Lord Nexus and Billy Jo Boxer look frustrated. Pit Viper on the other hand looks angry.
"I don't get what you want from me. First you tell me I can't wrestle an entire tag team match by myself. So I let Pulsar wrestle last week and now you yell at me again. I don't get it; what do you want from me?"
Trainer Jim talks to the angry young man.
"Listen, Viper. I think you know when we said you should let Pulsar into the ring that you shouldn't let him handle the entire match by himself. I mean he tried to tag you and you just ignored him. You're supposed to be a team. We're supposed to be a team. One of your teammates needed you and you ignored him. You just can't do that."
"Where did all this team stuff come from anyway? I never wanted to be part of a tag team. You made me do that. You guys never listen to me. You know, I wanted to be in the Interplanetary Tournament. I thought it made the most sense since it was Nexus who was in a tag team at the time and I've been in the GWF almost as long as he has. But you just ignored me and put him in there anyway. Then you stuck me in a tag team with Pulsar. It's not fair! I want some singles matches."
Nexus jumps into the conversation.
"You know what. You're right. Maybe we haven't listened to you enough. I'm sorry for that. I tell you what, if you agree to help Pulsar out and continue to tag with him, we will make sure that you also get some singles matches in."
Pit Viper looks at Nexus skeptically.
"You promise I'll get some singles matches."
"Promise."
"OK, it's cool. I can handle that."
"Good, now that that's settled we'll get right on getting you a match for tonight. Good Luck."
Animal Pack vs. Gladiators of Aethra
Battering Ram defeated Brute with a DQ after a brawl outside the ring at 5:40
Match Notes: This is starting to get absurd. This disqualification was followed by a long and loud chorus of boos from the fans. Chants of "let them fight" and "ref you suck" could be heard echoing throughout the arena as we get a third almost identical result.
Ghengis Khan vs. Comrade Terror
Ghengis Khan defeated Comrade Terror with a TWIN THRUST at 6:34
Match Notes: Finally a real result as Ghengis Khan upsets Comrade Terror. Terror continued his personal crusade against Earth born wrestlers with an early assault in this one. He controlled the match in the early going. But after throwing Khan into the ropes, the two competitors hit each other with a vicious double clothesline. Khan recovered and hit Terror with a Khan Nerve Pinch followed by his finisher for an upset victory.
- Thantos and Bishop Hell -
We join Bishop Hell and Thantos backstage discussing strategy. Thantos has a plan for his fiery friend.
"OK, look. I know you're upset about losing to Star Warrior. I'd be upset too. I can't stand losing to that guy. But forget it. There's another title out there ripe for the picking. The Titans are in absolute turmoil right now. At Stellar Slam I want you to take that Interplanetary Championship from Lord Nexus. He can barely keep his team together. It's gonna be an easy clean."
"Another chance at a belt. Sounds good to me. I'm in."
"And listen, Nexus wants to get a singles match for one of his guys? Well why not? I've talked to the Executive Committee and you've got a match with Pit Viper. Now get ready and show these guys they've got no chance against us! In the meantime, I think Exo-King hasn't been taught a lesson in some time so I'll be taking him on tonight Now let's go!"
Pit Viper vs. Bishop Hell
Bishop Hell defeated Pit Viper with a FLYING CROSS at 5:48
Match Notes: Pit Viper gets shut down quickly in this one. He was unable to execute a single offensive move; everything he attempted was either blocked or countered. Bishop Hell made quick work of the Titan after hitting him twice with a Flying Cross.
Exo-King vs. Thantos
Thantos defeated Exo-King with a MASTERLOCK at 4:22
Match Notes: Thantos gets out of his slump with a convincing victory over his former friend. Proving that he does indeed have what it takes to defeat the larger wrestlers in the GWF, Thantos takes very little time getting Exo-King into the Masterlock causing the big man to tap out.
Wolf vs. Invincible Krakan
Invincible Krakan defeated Wolf with a FALLING FACE SLAM at 10:52
Match Notes: An excellent match to close out the show! Krakan shows that he is indeed a worthy man to take on Star Warrior at Stellar Slam. Wolf's big mistake in this one was attempting a jump from the top turnbuckle. Krakan caught Wolf before he got to the top and threw him into the center of the ring. A few powerful moves later and it was all over. Krakan gets a well-earned victory over the wild man.
Last Edit: Jun 1, 2016 20:01:25 GMT -5 by EventHorizon
Huge main event victory for Krakan over the Savage One... Could we see him carry this momentum all the way to the Galaxian Championship?
Although I'm enjoying Exo-King's story arc (very much), it was cool to see Thantos break out of that slump... No one wants to see the Gamemaster go cold for too long... Otherwise, it starts to hurt the prestige factor of future angles...
It looks like Viper's discontent is starting to send ripples through the Titan group... But, perhaps Nexus has found an effective way to deal with his friend's anger... Interested to see how this develops...

Press Conference
08.09.2088 from Deimos Intergalactic Arena
- Press Conference -
A press conference has been called at the Deimos Intergalactic Arena for an announcement. Seated at a long table is a member of the GWF Executive Committee. Sitting to his right is a man who looks vaguely familiar. To his left is another man who also looks familiar and next to him is a legend of the sport. Most are surprised to see him there. After the press is in place, the Executive Committee member speaks.
"Hello, thank you all for coming. My name is Zachary Carter and I'd like to welcome you to the Deimos Intergalactic Arena, the home of the Galaxian Wrestling Federation. The popularity of the GWF has absolutely exploded thanks to the greatest fans in the galaxy. And as the greatest fans in the galaxy they deserve the greatest broadcast team in the galaxy. Effective immediately, the men you see with me will be our new broadcast team. They bring a level of professionalism not seen before to that aspect of our programs. The men at this table with me most of you, especially those in the press, will recognize."
"To my right, we have a long time journalist in this industry. He has broken many a story in the GWF in the various publications that have popped up over the years. As a broadcaster he will be responsible for locker room interviews, backstage interviews... Basically anyplace there's an interview to be had, he'll be there. So Johnny Rocket, welcome to the GWF family!"
"Thank you very much Mr. Carter"
"And to my left. First, another journalist whose great work has brought stories of the GWF to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. This man will be taking the play-by-play duties on all of our broadcasts, starting with Monday Night Massacre next week. Again, many of you in the press already recognize him as a colleague. Qualitar! Welcome to the family!"
"Thank you sir."
"And next to him is a man that everyone who has been a wrestling fan for more than a few years will recognize. He will be doing color commentary alongside Qualitar. Mighty Grogan! You need no introduction. Welcome sir!
"Thank you Mr. Carter."
"So with that I'd like to open the floor to any questions."
All of the press is interested only in Mighty Grogan. There was basically only one question that needed to be asked.
"Grogan. When the Galactic Code was broken, you left the GWF. Many thought for good. Why did you come back? Why now?"
"Well, it's quite simple. I've just missed this business too much. Look, I'm not going to agree with everything that has happened in this industry. But I do recognize that people love it. If I can bring a fair and unbiased perspective to the things that are happening in the GWF, I think it will all be worth it. As to why now, it's simply because I was asked. It's really that simple. That being said, I'm really looking forward to working with Qualitar and Johnny Rocket and I can't wait to get started! Next week is going to be fun!"

It's amazing what a Steam sale and a new laptop will do to your CotG productivity. After a month of not running a card, I'm back in the game.
Monday Night Massacre
08.16.2088 from Deimos Intergalactic Arena
- Show Opening with Lord Nexus -
"Alongside Mighty Grogan, this is Qualitar and welcome to yet another Monday Night Massacre! We have a big show planned for you tonight; later on you'll see Spike in action against Massif."
"I'll be looking forward to that one; it should be a great battle between two of the strongest men in the GWF."
Lord Nexus's music plays as he makes his entrance.
"And here comes the reigning Interplanetary Champion, let's see what he has to say!"
Nexus steps into the ring and is handed a microphone.
"It seems everyone wants to know how I'd respond to Bishop Hell's challenge last week. Well, I guess techincally the challenge was from Thantos because that dude speaks for everyone under his control, but anyway. I accept. Me and Bishop Hell. A championship match at Stellar Slam. Sounds like a plan."
Suddenly the lights go dim as Bishop Hell's music kicks in. He comes down to the ring and confronts Nexus.
"I'm glad you accept the challenge. It'll be the biggest mistake of your career. I'm taking that title. And you know why? You can't even keep your own house in order. Titans are fighting left and right. You'll be lucky if you still even have a group together by Stellar Slam. And I'm going to continue to help dismantle your team. Last week was Pit Viper. This week I'm going to kill Billy Jo Boxer. Good luck pal, you're going to need it."
Before Nexus has a chance to respond Bishop Hell exits the ring, leaving Nexus looking a bit preoccupied.
Exo-King vs. Invincible Krakan
Invincible Krakan defeated Exo-King with a DQ after a brawl outside the ring at 1:46
Match Notes: Krakan seemed to be in an especially foul mood tonight. He tossed Exo-King out of the ring early on in this match and followed him outside. After shoving the referee out of the way he hit Exo-King with a chair. The referee immediately disqualified Krakan for putting his hands on an official.
Animal Pack vs. Norse Gods
Incredible Badger defeated Man-Mountain with an ANDROMEDA DROP at 2:36
Match Notes: Another quick match. Battering Ram and Lightening didn't even have a chance to tag in as Incredible Badger took advantage of a much slower wrestler, taking the pinfall quite easily.
- Johnny Rocket Backstage Interview with Thantos -
"Hey folks, Johnny Rocket here. Please welcome my guest, the former Galaxian Champion, Thantos!"
Thantos steps into the picture.
"Now Thantos, a lot of people want to know..."
Before Johnny can even get his first question, Thantos is attacked from behind by Comrade Terror. Rocket makes his escape as Terror pounds on the former champion. Thantos gains a bit of momentum after a low blow and the two wrestlers start exchanging punches. Security finally responds and seperates the two angry wrestlers. Comrade Terror has a few choice words for Thantos.
"Thantos! I will have my revenge on you for forcing me to tag with that loser the Executioner. I want you at Stellar Slam in a Cosmic Cage!"
"You got it loser! Nobody attacks Thantos like you just did. Nobody. And I'll tell you what, I can't wait until Stellar Slam to get a piece of you. How about in addition to that match, you go one on one with me tonight?"
"You're on!"
Reptillo vs. Mutant
Mutant defeated Reptillo with a face mangler at 1:55
Match Notes: Another quick one. Reptillo showed nothing in this one. After failing to execute a powerslam, Mutant took over and just brutalized the Animan until he got a rather unorthodox victory.
Billy Jo Boxer vs. Bishop Hell
Bishop Hell defeated Billy Jo Boxer with a FLYING CROSS at 14:36
Match Notes: Bishop Hell is a man of his word as he beats his second Titan in as many shows. This was a highly entertaining back and forth contest. Bishop Hell eventually wore down Billy Jo Boxer and ended the match with his non-controversial finisher.
- Johnny Rocket Backstage Interview with the Space Croppers -
"OK, let's try this again. This time my guests are none other than the challengers for the Galaxian Tag Team titles. Beast-Rider, Renegade, welcome to what hopefully is a better interview than my last one."
The three men chuckle as Beast-Rider thanks Johnny for the welcome. Johnny begins the questions.
"So guys, this is quite obviously the biggest opportunity of your careers, are you ready?"
"Well, we know it's going to be a challenge but we are ready. Renegade and I are no stranger to tough matches."
"How are you planning to prepare?"
Renegade jumps in with a response. "Come on now Johnny, you can't expect us to reveal all of our secrets. We will keep ourselves in top form by taking on the best the GWF has to offer in the weeks leading up to Stellar Slam. In fact, we've got a match tonight against the Gladiators."
"Wow, you aren't kidding about taking on the best. If you can beat the Glads, you can beat anybody. Good luck guys."
"Thanks Johnny."
Massif vs. Spike
Spike defeated Massif with a spinesmasher at 6:52
Match Notes: Spike makes a statement here, very easily defeating the former Galaxian Champion. Massif was constantly on the defensive in this one as Spike combined his power with a surprising amount of speed to make short work of the former champ.
Space-Croppers vs. Gladiators of Aethra
Brute defeated Beast-Rider with an atomic skullcrusher at 20:39
Match Notes: This was an absolutely phenomenal tag team encounter. The Space Croppers held their own against the Gladiators, but Brute's size and strength eventually proved to be too much for them. Brute was eventually able to isolate Beast-Rider in one corner where he was able to wear him down bringing a rather lengthy, clean and entertaining match to a close.
Comrade Terror vs. Thantos
Thantos defeated Comrade Terror with a MASTERLOCK at 2:11
Match Notes: It seems Comrade Terror's sneak attack earlier in the evening came back to haunt him as the infuriated Gamemaster made short work of the man from Cygnus. Thantos hit Terror with two (yes two) clotheslines from the top rope before slapping him into the Masterlock for the win.
So there you have it. First new card in a month. Looks like I have a lot of reading to do of other Feds. This could take awhile.
Last Edit: Jul 9, 2016 15:31:18 GMT -5 by EventHorizon
I'll be hoping for Comrade terror in the Cage match. He has always been one of my favorites, if not my overall favorite.
Yeah, I like the guy too. I want to try to push him as a singles guy and hopefully give him either an IP or Galaxian Championship shot before I introduce Tongsoon. But then the dice do what they want and he might not get there. We'll see.
