"I know this is totally unrelated to anything, but one of these EMTs looks just like 'Rock & Roll' Buck Zuhmofe." LMFAO!!!! Major props to Punk for a seriously deep pull from the archives! Effing hilarious!!! I love when he does commentary. Maybe it's just me, but when he said that, and it was very apparent that a serious injury had just occurred, I felt like it was a pretty classless comment. I thought "wow, what a dick." Again, probably just me but I'm really disliking CM Punk more and more every week. He comes off like some mouthy high-school skater kid every time he talks.

Especially since Wade Barrett sacrificed himself basically to protect another employee that Big Show recklessly launched like a rocket. I have a ton of respect for Barrett now and wish him a speedy recovery and a rewarded push upon his return. Anyone else notice that Jericho broke character and asked how Barrett was doing before he went back to his staredown with Punk?

My wife did, I quit paying attention a lot earlier than the end of the show.

My mom watched Raw with me, and it was probably the first time she watched wrestling since I was in high school. She commented at some point during the night how many more minority wrestlers there were now, which got me thinking, and we had a Raw that I think only had one match featuring two white wrestlers. This is pretty awesome. While there is a way to go, I think its pretty cool that we have seen african american wrestlers featured as serious competitors.
I thought Cena's second promo was awesome. I liked that they had the good sense to keep Kane off TV for at least a week instead of having him come back and job to like Mason Ryan or something. I even liked HHH; he managed to look angry without shaking like he was passing a kidney stone.
I even like the probably GM election angle. We have someone who is completely corrupt vs. someone who is completely incompetent, and no matter who gets elected nothing will change. It's just like real life!

I thought that he was just trying to lighten the mood. Regardless of how serious the injury was, Vince is a big proponent of "the show must go on" and he may have wanted the focus off of Barrett and Ziggler. You never know what's being yelled in the commentators' ears, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were being told to deflect attention from the injuries.

Then he did a shit job by trying to draw attention to one of the medics. CM Punk has proved himself a smart-mouthed jerk too many times for me to think this wasn't more of the same.

yeah when i was watching that Battle Royal, it looked like some of the guys got hurt going out. I'm kind of on the fence about Punk. As to Rock-Cena. I mean , most of what Cena said i didn't really agree with. I don't think Rock has a writer going around feeding him lines. I also don't compare him to hogan. Rock got a big time movie career and made a clean break. Had he not done that he'd be constantly coming and going. hogan...early 90s this guy constantly teased retirement. Leave for a year, come back hog the spotlight and get the belt...then leave again. He needs the attention and the payday. I don't get the feeling the Rock is coming back to prove anything and not for a payday. Cena took a shot at him a couple years ago for leaving. You want to think he doesn't love wrestling as much as some other guys. Maybe that's true. But i can't fault him for taking the movie career. Had he stayed his career would be winding down, and maybe those movie offers wouldn't be there anymore.

Couple random thoughts:
- I was surprised to see just how hated Daniel Bryan was when I watched the PPV at Hooters Sunday. The crowd there despised him. I guess he got himself over as an effective Chicken Shit Heel. I think people really want to see him get his ass handed. In the process Santino was super over, as was Sheamus when he laid him out. Great job by DB.
- Just realized that the 4 guys who didnt walk out on the WWE last Fall (before John Lauranitis became GM), are basically the 4 faces of the 4 main events at Mania (HHH, Cena, Punk and Sheamus).
- In the Rock-Cena debate I originally thought I'd side with The Rock, but I gotta go with rooting for Cena. The Rock's insults are childish and his promos and appearances have been pretty blah compared to what I thought they would be. Cena in the meantime has stepped up his game and has done a much better job selling the whole match in all outlets. Move on from Cena Lady part comments Dwayne...and do it next Monday.
