Sucks to see my favorite team, the Pens get eliminated but damn, what a series. I really like and respect the Flyers organization. I think any longtime or hardcore hockey fan would have to. Great to see so many teams rising up. Nashville (my favorite West team) especially. Chicago vs. Phoenix has been amazing too and PHX is one of those teams that usually bores me. Not this year. With the Pens out I'm rooting for a Flyers vs. Preds finals with the Preds taking the Cup. But overall, I'm just cheering for the rest of the playoffs to be just as awesome as the 1st round has been, regardless of who meets in the Finals.

It has been very shocking to see many big name teams going out in the 1st round like Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Vancouver. Now with Chicago, New York, New Jersey, and defending Cup champs Boston on the brink of elimination, we may be witnessing a changing of the guard in the NHL. Especially if Boston loses. Go Caps!* *I'm only against the Bruins to p*** off my nearly all-Boston family.

Yesterday's Boston/Wash game was awesome. Between that and the Lakers/Thunder game, I was in sports heaven.
Hopefully my 'Hawks can force game 7.

Pretty shocked to see defending champs, Boston Bruins, go out in Game 7 on their home ice. Although home ice hasn't meant too much in the playoffs this year.
2 more big Game 7s tonight! I'm picking the Rangers and Panthers.

I'm hoping for either the St.Louis Blues or Nashville Predators to win not only the West, but the Stanley Cup over whatever Eastern team advances to the Finals...

Round 2 predictions:
Philadelphia over New Jersey in 5 games Washington over New York in 7 games Nashville over Phoenix in 6 games St. Louis over LA in 6 games
But if the Rangers survive the Caps, they're the favorite to go the distance.

The Los Angeles Kings swept the St. Louis Blues to advance to the Conference Finals, becoming the first 8th seeded team to knock off the #1 & #2 seeded teams in the playoffs. If they play Phoenix next they could add to that record.
Also the Devils celebrated Marty Brodeur's 40th B-day by taking a 3-1 series lead over the Flyers.

Yeah, my Flyers are just getting destroyed. No complaints though as NJ is a good team, but I'd like to see my team at least go down fighting.

In the case of New Jersey I believe that team will go as far as Brodeur wants them too. I believe this could be his last run and it would be a fitting book end to his career to go out with another Stanley Cup win
