Hasn't Raw basically been almost a three hour taping already? Generally they tape one or two Superstar matches before each Raw, and with NXT moving to taping at the University, along with FCW that opens up Smackdown tapings for more Superstar content. So by going to three hours it should in all theory give the lower to mid card guys more live TV time to try and get themselves over, but like most good idea's the WWE has had over the last number of years I am sure they will find a way to mess this up. Don't know how you can assume that? They are moving the start times up an hour meaning they are now a four hour taping with Superstars still going the same time.

3 Hours ? Oh NO please . The 2hrs 15mins you seem to fast forward majority of it with adverts and what happened last week etc . Cut the crap out of 2hrs 15mins and make it better .

not a fan of this. anyone remember about a dozen years ago. there was no Smackdown. Everyone was on RAW, and they seemed to get everyone their time. not anymore. and now if something good happens at the beginning of the show we'll have to wait 2 1/2 hours for the payoff. if it's more of what's been on the last couple weeks.......

I don't see why we are complaining about this. Raw has been mostly good lately. There is a huge amount of talent not on TV right now. Sure, we will get more video packages and recaps. It's 2012. We all have DVRs. Maybe midcarders will get some more in ring time and promo time, and they will catch lightning in a bottle and make some new stars.
Also, for whomever posted it, I don't see why the divas still getting two minutes would be a bad thing. They are all terrible.

I guess I try and take the wait and see approach for things like this. Sure, stuff in wrestling gets screwed up all the time, but that is nothing new. I also feel that the WWE product and how good it is has been directly tied to the quality of the performers involved. Indy wrestling got popular and interesting because from 2002-2007, there was more talent there than in WWE and TNA. Now, with the exception of Sami Callihan and maybe a couple of others, every major talent has been signed to developmental. WWE saw a problem and fixed it, and now they will finally start seeing the dividends from signing such a wide base of talent instead of adhering to the 6'3" 240 lb rule that they had a few years ago. While I have no doubt that the writing of the show will remain juvenile and rudderless, I do have faith that talented performers will be given more time to shine and grow with three hours.

Remember when WCW did this in 1998?
They had a huge roster with a lot of veteran talent that could work longer matches and fill the time. It watered down the product horribly and was really hard to sit through on a weekly basis.
The WWE doesn't have that kind of roster.

I think I'm finally going to get DVR now just for RAW. It's bad enough right now. Expanding to 3 hours is just too much crap to have to sit through.
I bet Cole and Lawler are pissed.
Also, a couple thoughts from last night...
1. How many flipping times have they done Cena vs. Big Show ALREADY!?!?!?!? Also, how many times has Show flip flopped? Good Lord...
2. What were those guys in matching outfits, looking like some sort of unit? There were two of them (one pair in neon green and another in pink and black). Seemed...strange...but...interesting...I think I saw something like that in the 80s and 90s...hmmm......

You mean the two tag teams of Darren Young & Titus O'Neal (neon green). The other two were Curt Hawkins & Tyler Reks. Both are heel tag teams from NXT. Storyline wise Big Johnny signed O'Neal & Young to Smackdown, while Reks & Hawkins were just made the head of security for NXT. If the tag team division is set to explode I think these two teams will be a big part of that resurgence.
