Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 139: London & Kendrick vs. The Mongols (with Larry Sweeney): This match was a tag team classic pitting the speed of London & Kendrick vs. the power of the Mongols. The Mongols dominated early on, scoring a near fall on London with the Mongolian Drop. London made a comeback and hit the 450 on Beppo but Sweeny put his foot on the ropes. London tagged in Kendrick and Kendrick hit two Sliced Bread #2s for near falls. Beppo made a comeback and tagged in Geeto. Geeto pummelled Kendrick, scoring near falls with double team moves. Kendrick made a comeback and hit Sliced Bread #2 for the win. Brent Albright vs. Crossbones: Crossbones attacked Albright before the bell and scored a near fall with the full nelson slam. Albright bounced back and hit the exsploder suplex, followed by the half-nelson suplex. Albright pounced on Crossbones and locked on the Crowbar for the submission victory. After the match, Albright got on the mic and promised to make Antonio Inoki tap out next week in Japan! Nigel McGuinness vs. Delirious - KOV Qualifier: Delirious started strong but made the mistake of going to the top rope. Nigel threw him to the mat and locked on the London Dungeon for the submission victory. Nigel McGuinness advances to the King of Victory tournament. Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli were interviewed about their match next week, tagging for the first time in almost two years against Giant Baba & The Destroyer, then wrestling each other the following week. Hero said it was a way for them to get noticed, and that if next week goes well, the Kings of Wrestling might have to reunite on a more permanent basis. Claudio said they were tired of being ignored and their matches as a team or wrestling each other would be the best on TV. Mike Quackenbush vs. Tyler Black - KOV Qualifier: Quackenbush had Black's number in this one. Quack quickly took Black down, then locked on the Chikara Special but Black made it to the ropes. Quack hit a swanton for a near fall, then locked on the Chikara Special a second time for the win. Mike Quackenbush advances to the King of Victory tournament! Bryan Danielson vs. Buddy Rose: Danielson had a rought time with Rose's superior power but managed to get some momentum going. Danielson locked on the Cattle Mutilation twice but Rose made it to the ropes both times. Danielson locked on the Triangle Choke but Rose again made it to the ropes. Finally, Danielson dragged Rose to the center of the ring and began hitting Rose with brutal elbow strikes to the head. Rose finally tapped out. Williams & Stevens vs. The Heartbreak Express - ROV Tag Team titles: Stevens & Williams isolated Sean Davis and mauled him with their power tactics. Stevens scored near falls with the overhead suplex and the Doctor Bomb and tagged in Williams. Williams hit a bone-jarring German Suplex for the win. next week from Japan: - Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Giant Baba & The Destroyer

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 140: Kings of Wrestling vs. Baba & Destroyer: The Kings of Wrestling showed the crowd why they were great tag team champions, wearing down the Destroyer and keeping Giant Baba out of the ring. Claudio got the win after a Ricola Bomb on the Destroyer. Brian Kendrick vs. Tiger Mask: Kendrick made a valiant effort but Tiger Mask was just too good. Mask scored near falls with two piledrivers before putting Kendrick away with the Tiger Suplex. Andre the Giant vs. Drake Younger: This match was all Andre the Giant. Younger didn't mount any offense. Andre busted Younger open with a headbutt and scored near falls after the turnbuckle squash and the sitdown splash. Andre hit the double underhook suplex and followed it up with a second crushing headbutt for the win. Erick Stevens vs. Terry Gordy - KOV Qualifier: Stevens put up a respectable showing against Bamm-Bamm but couldn't keep the big man down. Stevens scored near falls with the Samoan Drop and the Overhead release suplex but Gordy kept on coming. Gordy made a comeback and scored near falls wtih the piledriver and the Oriental Spike. Finally, Gordy hit a brutal powerbomb for the win. Gordy advances to the King of Victory tournament. After the match, Stevens extended his hand to Gordy in a show of respect. Gordy took Stevens's hand and then hit the youngster with a brutal Oriental Spike. Stevens had to be helped from the ring by his partner, Steve Williams. Brent Albright vs. Antonio Inoki - KOV Qualifier: Albright was having an off night, possibly because of jetlag, and Inoki capitalized, frustrating Albright at every turn. Albright scored a near fall with the Exploder but couldn't follow it up. Inoki hit two Enzuigiris before getting the submission via the Octopus Hold. Inoki advances to the King of Victory tournament. Bryan Danielson vs. Jushin Liger: Danielson and Liger tore the house down with their technical display. Danielson scored near falls with Suplexes but couldn't put Liger away. Liger made a comeback and hit the Liger Bomb for the win. curt Hennig (with Buddy Rose) vs. Rikidozan for the ROV Grand Championship: Hennig started strong, scoring a near fall with the Axe and hitting the Hennig Plex four times, unable to keep Rikidozan's shoulders down. Rikidozan bounced back and scored a near fall with the Hiplock before nearly knocking Hennig unconscious with the Thunderous Chops. Rikidozan had the match won but Buddy Rose draped Hennig's leg across the bottom rope. Rikidozan left the ring to go after Buddy Rose, giving Hennig time to recover. Rikidozan battered Hennig with another barrage of Thunderous chops but Hennig was too close to the ropes. Hennig made a comeback and hit the rolling neck snap out of nowhere for the win, his ninth successful title defense. next week: - Rikidozan vs. Buddy Rose

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 141: Naptown Dragons vs. The Backseat Boys (with Jim Cornette): The Backseat Boys were a well-oiled machine. Kashmere hit two Cradle Breakers on Lee before hitting the T-Gimmick for the win. Masked Superstar II vs. The Belgian Brawler: Masked Superstar II dominated the Brawler, wearing him down with the Backbreaker before putting him away with the falling elbow drop. Rikidozan vs. Buddy Rose: Rikidozan mauled Rose for the first ten minutes of the match, busting him open with Thunderous Chops. Rose was almost unconscious when Curt Hennig and Masked Superstar II showed up at ringside. Rikidozan left the ring to attack Hennig and was doubleteamed by Hennig and II for his troubles. After a brutal double bodyslam on the concrete, Hennig and Masked Superstar II rolled Rikidozan back into the ring. Buddy Rose hit the Bombs Away for the win. Chris Hero vs. Claudio Castagnoli - King of Victory Qualifier: Hero and Claudio wrestled a scientific match. Claudio scored two near falls with European uppercut variations. Hero bounced back and scored two near falls of his own with the Hero's Welcome and the Hero Sandwhich. Hero managed to lock on the Rubik's Cube for the win. Chris Hero advances to the King of Victory tournament! Bryan Danielson vs. Jimmy Jacobs - King of Victory Qualifier: Danielson controled most of the match but couldnt' get the submission from Jacobs. Jacobs was busted open and took over, locking on the End Time twice. Danielson refused to submit and Jacobs nailed him with the railroad spike, busting him open. Jacobs locked on the End Time for a third time for the win. Jacob advances to the King of Victory tournament! Willims & Stevens vs. London & Kendrick - ROV Tag Team titles: London & Kendrick wore Stevens down with double team tactics early on. London hit the 450 Splash and came within an eyelash of capturing the tag team gold for his team. London tagged out and Kendrick hit Sliced Bread #2 for another near fall. Stevens made the hot tag to Williams and Doctor Death cleaned house, hitting the Doctor Bomb on Kendrick for a near fall. The match spilled to the floor and Williams slammed Kendrick into the guardrail. The referee saw it and disqualified Williams. After the match, the champions were leaving the ring when they were attacked from behind by Curt Hennig, Buddy Rose, and Maske Superstar II. The heels left the tag team champs laying. The show went off the air with Hennig, Rose, and II standing in the ring, each holding up three fingers. next week - The King of Victory tournament!: - Nigel McGuinness vs. Adam Pearce

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 142 - King of Victory!: first round matches:Nigel McGuinness vs. Adam Pearce: Pearce and McGuinness fought a back and forth match. Pearce made the mistake of going to the top rope. McGuinness threw him to the mat and locked on the London Dungeon for the win. McGuinness advances to the second round. Mike Quackenbush vs. Eddie Kingston: Quackenbush and Kingston fought a long and grueling match. Neither man could keep the momentum going for long. Kingston grew frustrated and slammed Quackenbush with a steel chair outside the ring, drawing the DQ. Quackenbush advances to the second round. Terry Gordy vs. Antonio Inoki: Inoki and Gordy fought in a hard-hitting, fast paced match. Inoki made the mistake of taking the fight to the floor and Gordy made him pay. Gordy hit the Oriental Spike and followed it up with a brutal powerbomb for the win. Gordy advances to the second round. Jimmy Jacobs vs. Chris Hero: Jacobs took the fight to Hero, busting him open and locking on the End Time twice. Hero bounced back and hit the Hero's Welcome three times, busting Jacobs open. Jacobs attacked with a renewed fury but Hero kept his cool. Hero hit the Hero's Welcome, then locked on the Hangman's Clutch for the win. Hero advances to the second round. Second Round matches:Nigel McGuinness vs. Mike Quackenbush: Quackenbush fought hard but was no match for McGuinness. McGuinness locked on the London Dungeon for a quick win. McGuinness advances to the finals. Terry Gordy vs. Chris Hero: Hero attacked Gordy at the opening bell and took the match to the floor. They brawled around the ring until the referee threatened to disqualify both of them. Gordy threw Hero into the ring and hit the Oriental Spike for a two count. Hero rolled back out of the ring and the two men brawled into the crowd. Hero plasted Gordy with a steel chair in full view of the referee. The referee disqualified Hero and Gordy advances to the finals. Final:Nigel McGuinness vs. Terry Gordy: Nigel controlled most of the match, scoring near falls with the Tower of London and two brutal Jawbreaker Lariats. Gordy bounced back and hit Nigel with a brutal powerbomb for the win. Terry Gordy is the third King of Victory! next week: - Mike Quackenbush vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 143: London & Kendrick vs. the Young Bucks: Kendrick wore Matt down, hitting two Sliced Bread #2s before tagging in London. London hit the 450 for a near fall, then followed it up with an Oklahoma Sideroll for the win. Nigel McGuinness vs. Savage T: McGuinness decimated T, locking on the London Dungeon three times before getting the win via the Jawbreaker Lariat. Brent Albright vs. Timber: Albright destroyed Timber, winning with the Crowbar in near record time. After the match, Albright said Hennig better watch his back, because the Hired Gun was gunning for him! Mike Quackenbush vs. Jimmy Jacobs: Jacobs was clearly overconfident coming in and it cost him. Jacobs whipped Quack to the ropes and Quack small packaged him for a quick victory. After the match, Jacobs took Quackenbush down and Tyler Black hit the ring. They double-teamed Quackenbush until Chris Hero arrived! Hero ran the heels off and helped Quackenbush to his feet. Williams & Stevens vs. Buddy Rose & Masked Superstar II - ROV Tag Team titles: Stevens and Williams mauled Buddy Rose, busting him open and scoring several punishing near falls. Rose made the hot tag to Superstar and Superstar had Stevens in trouble. Williams made the save and Stevens hit the Doctor Bomb on Masked Superstar II. Rose made the save, hitting the bombs away on Stevens in full view of the referee. The referee disqualified Rose and awarded the match to the champions. Curt Hennig (with Buddy Rose) vs. Terry Gordy - Ring of Victory Grand Championship: Hennig threw everything he had at Bamm-Bamm but couldn't keep the big man down. Hennig scored a near fall with the running knee lift but couldn't follow up. Bamm-Bamm hit the Oriental Spike for a near fall and tossed Hennig all over the ring. Bamm-Bamm hit the big Powerbomb and it looked like the match was over but Buddy Rose put Hennig's foot across the bottom rope, just as he did against Rikidozan. Bamm-Bamm chased Rose outside the ring and powerbombed him through the announce table. Gordy returned to the ring and hit the Oriental Spike on Hennig a second time but the champ kicked out. The match spilled to the floor and Hennig got disqualified for hitting Gordy with a pair of brass knuckles in full view of the referee. Hennig retains the title despite losing, his tenth defense of the Ring of Victory Grand Championship. The show went off the air with the crowd pelting the ring with trash. next week: - Terry Gordy vs. Buddy Rose
