Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 144: Bryan Danielson & Rikidozan vs. The Mongols: Danielson & Rikidozan wrestled hard but the Mongols had their number. Both men were bleeding from shots with the chain before Rikidozan fell prey to the Mongolian Drop for the win. It was announced that the main event for next week's show in Japan would be Curt Hennig vs. Terry Gordy for the Ring of Victory Championship... INSIDE A STEEL CAGE! Nigel McGuinness vs. Eddie Kingston: Nigel out-wrestled Kingston, hitting two Jawbreaker Lariats before getting the win with the Cobra Clutch. Hennig was shown pacing the lockerroom. He told Buddy Rose to soften Terry Gordy up for him and left the lockerroom in a huff. Brent Albright vs. Delirious: Delirious controled the opening minutes of the match but Albright was waiting for an opening. Delirious went to the top and Albright threw him to the mat and clamped on the Crowbar for the submission victory. Terry Gordy vs. Buddy Rose: Gordy destroyed Rose, rendering him a bloody mess, hitting the Powerbomb and following it up with an Oriental Spike for the win. After the match, Gordy said Hennig might as well forfeit the Ring of Victory Grand Championship to him now. The Superfriends vs. The Age of the Fall: These two teams set the crowd on fire. Quackenbush & Hero functioned well as a team despite never teaming before in Ring of Victory, and Black & Jacobs showed no signs of rustiness. Black hit the Phoenix Splash on Hero for a near fall and tagged in Jacobs. Hero regained control and took the fight outside the ring. Hero hit the Hero's Welcome on the floor. Jacobs couldn't answer the count and was counted out. Steve Williams vs. Masked Superstar II: Williams and Superstar battered each other with powerful blows. Williams hit the backdrop driver for the only near fall of the match. The match spilled to the outside and the referee disqualified Williams for hitting the Oklahoma Stampede on a chair. next week from Japan: - Danielson & Rikidozan vs. The Mongols

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 145: Danielson & Rikidozan vs. The Mongols: Danielson & Rikidozan took the fight to the Mongols, isolating Geeto and working him over. Danielson scored a near fall with the Cattle Mutilation and tagged in Rikidozan. Rikidozan hit the Hiplock and Thunderous Chops for near falls. Rikidozan tagged Danielson back in and Danielson got the submission victory with the Cattle Mutilation. Brian Kendrick vs. Brent Albright: Kendrick & Albright gave the crowd a five star match. Kendrick scored near falls with two Sliced Bread #2s before Albright took control, dropping Kendrick on his head with two Half Nelson Suplexes and scoring a near fall with the 6-1-Knee. Kendrick got to his feet but Albright took him down and locked on the Crowbar for the win. Paul London vs. Tiger Mask: London came close to giving Tiger Mask his first ROV defeat but Tiger Mask bounced back and got the win with the Tiger Suplex. Andre the Giant vs. Giant Baba: Andre destroyed Baba, getting the win with two brutal sitdown splashes. Nigel McGuinness vs. Jushin Liger: Liger took McGuinness apart in the early minutes, hitting two Fisherman Busters for near falls. McGuinness bounced back and hit two Jawbreaker Lariats on Liger. Liger made a comeback and rocked McGuinness with the Liger Dive. Liger went to the top and hit a flying bodypress. McGuinness rolled through and hooked Liger's leg for the three count! Williams & Stevens vs. Masked Superstar II & Buddy Rose: Rose started the match with Williams and quickly took the match to the floor. Rose and Williams brawled into the crowd, where Rose was caught hitting Williams with a beer bottle. The referee disqualified Rose, much to the chagrin of the crowd. Curt Hennig vs. Terry Gordy - ROV Grand Championship Cage Match!: Hennig and Gordy used the cage to its full effect. Both men bled rivers. Hennig was surprisingly brutal, slamming Gordy's head into the cage again and again. Hennig nearly knocked Gordy unconscious with the Axe and went to the top rope. Gordy threw Hennig to the mat and hit the Oriental Spike twice but was too exhausted to follow up. Hennig and Gordy got to their feet and exchanged punches. Gordy got the advantage and hit Hennig with the Powerbomb... 1 2 Kickout! Frustrated, Gordy went to the top rope and hit a fllying body press. Henning rolled through for a near fall. Gordy got to his feet and Hennig hit the HennigPlex! 1 2 3! Hennig defeats Gordy clean with the HennigPlex, his eleventh successful defense, tying the reign of Rick Rude and just three defenses behind the record of fourteen set by Frank Gotch! next week: - Brent Albright vs. Nigel McGuinness for a shot at the ROV Grand Championship

Pretty surprised that Hennig beat Gordy. Me too. Hennig got the high roll to start the match and tore Gordy apart. This is the run I've been wanting Hennig to have since I first got his card. Before now, he always choked in big matches.

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 146: London & Kendrick vs. Buddy Rose & Masked Superstar II: London & Kendrick were at a size and strength disadvantage but their skills as a team evened the odds. Kendrick and London isolated Buddy Rose early on and wore him down with double team tactics. Rose tagged in Masked Superstar II and II proceeded to maul both Kendrick and London. Kendrick made a comeback and hit Sliced Bread II for a near fall and tagged in London. London hit the 450 Splash for a near fall and went back to the top, hitting a flying crossbody for the win. Brodie Lee vs. Savage T: Lee bulldozed T, winning with two Big Boots. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Terry Gordy: Claudio and Gordy fought a hard-hitting match. Claudio scored near falls with two Ricola Bombs. Gordy fought back and hit the Piledriver for a near fall, then finished Claudio with a Powerbomb. Brent Albright vs. Nigel McGuinness (with Larry Sweeney) for a shot at the ROV Grand Championship!: Albright and McGuinness fought a back and forth match, proving to be evenly matched. Albright hit the Half-Nelson Suplex, stunning Nigel long enough to slap on the Crowbar for the win. After the match, Albright said nothing would stop him from fulfilling his destiny and winning the ROV Grand Championship next week! Mike Quackenbush vs. Tyler Black: Black worked over Quackenbush with his arsenal of kicks before getting the win via the Phoenix Splash. Steve Williams & Erick Stevens vs. Bryan Danielson & Rikidozan: Williams started strong, pounding Danielson to the mat and hitting the Backdrop Driver for a near fall. Danielson battled back and worked on Doc's shoulder with the Cattle Mutilation. Danielson tagged in Rikidozan and the father of Puroresu mauled Doc, taking him to the mat with the Hiplock and pelting hihm with Thunderous Chops. After three barrages of Thunderous Chops, Rikidozan covered Williams for the three count. Rikidozan and Bryan Danielson are the new ROV Tag Team Champions! next week: - Steve Williams vs. Terry Gordy for a shot at the ROV Grand Championship

Ring of Victory Battlefield episode 147: The Superfriends vs. The Backseat Boys (with Jim Cornette): The SuperFriends continue to amaze the crowd with their abilities as a unit. Hero and Quackenbush isolated Trent Acid and wore him down with their finishers. Hero got the pin via a moonsault. Jim Cornette was livid after the loss. Brodie Lee vs. the Belgian Brawler: Lee muled the Brawler, nearly kicking his head off with three Big Boots. Adam Pearce vs. Nigel McGuinness: McGuinness dominated Pearce, hitting two Jawbreaker Lariats before getting the win with the Cobra Clutch. Steve Williams vs. Terry Gordy for a shot at the Ring of Victory Grand Championship: These two bulls punished one another with brutal strikes and dangerous head-dropping suplexes. Williams looked to have the match well under control after a brutal Backdrop Driver. The match spilled out ot the floor and Gordy took control. Gordy hit two Powerbombs put couldn't keep Doc down. Gordy hit the Oriental Spike for the submission victory. Gordy gets a shot at Hennig in two weeks! Bryan Danielson & Rikiozan vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick - ROV Tag Team titles: Danielson & Rikidozan isolated London and went to work, weakening him with brutal strikes. Danielson got the win with the Cattle Mutilation. Curt Hennig vs. Brent Albright - Ring of Victory Grand Championship: Hennig took a beating from Albright but managed to keep from being locked in the Crowbar. Hennig bounced back, working on Albright's neck with the rolling neck snap. Hennig hit the HennigPlex to win the match, his twelfth title defense. next week: - The Superfriends vs. The Age of the Fall
