LOL! The attack wasn't heinous enough for the big red X to be employed but maybe I'll have to work that in someplace. I'm just glad that I am not the only one who remembers that. They milked the heck out of the X gimmick wth the Heart Punch. It was like when Ron Bass cut open Beefcake and the X did not cover any of the blood!

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 31 The Naptown Dragons beat Sam Hayne & Harker Dirge after a Double Dragon on Dirge. After the match, the Dragons challenged the Kings of Wrestling to a RoV Tag Team title match. Strangler Lewis beat Larry Sweeney with repeated Strangler's Headlocks. After the match, Mike Quackenbush came out and congratulated Lewis and said it woudl be an honor to face him next week. Frank Gotch was seen pacing in the back. Eventually his entourage arrived. Gotch went down the line and fired each one of them, saying he didn't think he could trust any of them anymore. Michaels didn't take the firing well and challenged Gotch to a match next week, whether he is still the RoV Grand Champion or not. Jushin Liger beat Delirious with the Shooting Star Press. Liger hit all of his finishers on Delirious during the match and looked very impressive. Steve Corino lost to Ivan Koloff by DQ after getting caught hitting Koloff with the bell outside the ring. RoV Grand Champion Frank Gotch handily defeated Ox Baker to retain the title. Gotch applied the Gotch Toe Hold once and Baker got to the ropes. Gotch dragged Baker into the center of the ring and applied it again for the submission. J.D. Michaels smiled from the ramp as Baker tapped out. In the main event, Drake Younger beat Arik Cannon and Diamond Dallas Page in a wild three way dance, winning with the Drake's Landing on Page. next week: - Strangler Lewis vs. Mike Quackenbush

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 32 The Naptown Dragons made short work of Tom Prichard & Chris Candido, winning with the Double Dragon on Prichard to open the show. Ricky Landell beat the Belgian Brawler by count out after dominating most of the match. Timber lost to Sabu in a brutal match after Sabu hit the Triple Jump Moonsault. Insiders suspect Sabu is gunning for a shot at the RoV Grand Championship. In a special challenge match, Strangler Lewis made short work of Mike Quackenbush, winning with the Strangler's Headlock. A battered and bloody Steve Corino defied the odds and beat Ivan Koloff in a Texas Death Match with the Old School Expulsion. RoV Tag Team champions the Kings of Wrestling issued an open challenge to the teams of Ring of Victory. It was answered by The Armstrongs! Next week's main event was announced. It will be Drake Younger, Arik Cannon, and Diamond Dallas Page in a Falls Count Anywhere Round Robin mini-tournament. The winner will get a shot at Frank Gotch's RoV Grand Championship the following week! The Kings of Wrestling defeated the Armstrongs to retain the RoV Tag Team titles when Brad submitted to Hero's Hangman's Clutch. The Armstrongs came within an eyelash of winning the gold several times but the champs managed to rally and retain the titles. In the main event, RoV Grand Champion Frank Gotch demolished J.D. Michaels (with April Hunter), winning with the Gotch Toe Hold, his 13th successful defense. next week: - Steve Corino vs. Strangler Lewis

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 33 The Armstrongs defeated Tom Prichard and Chris Candido by DQ to open the show. Once again, Prichard is DQed outside the ring. Adam Pearce beat a surprisingly skillful Belgian Brawler with the Powerslam after a few near falls by the Brawler. Mike Quackenbush beat Sabu by DQ when the referee disqualified Sabu for using the Arabian Facebuster. Steve Corino lost to Strangler Lewis in a close match after the Strangler's Headlock. Corino was livid after the loss. RoV Tag Team champions the Kings of Wrestling lost to the Naptown Dragons by disqualfication after Hero broke up a pin on Claudio. The Kings of Wrestling retain the titles. In the main event, Diamond Dallas Page won a falls count anywhere round robin tournament against Drake Younger and Arik Cannon. In the first match, Drake Younger put Arik Cannon away early with Drake's Landing. DDP won the second match with a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere on Cannon. Page took the third match after he and Drake brawled all over the arena, finally winning with a Diamond Cutter on the floor. Diamond Dallas Page will receive a shot at Frank Gotch and the RoV Grand Championship next week! next week: - The Armstrongs take on the Heartbreak Express

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 34 The Armstrongs lost to the Heartbreak Express (with Diamond Dallas Page) after a Heartbreaker on Brad to open the show. Delirious destroyed the Sandman, winning with the Chemical Imbalance #2. Steve Corino lost a brutal match to Timber after three Logsplitters. Corino had to be stretchered out and was seen clutching his neck. Strangler Lewis beat Ricky Landell after wearing him down with the Strangler's Headlock before making him submit. It was announced that Steve Corino would miss some action due to a neck injury sustained during his match with Timber. Ricky Landell challenged Timber on the spot. In a rematch from last week, Mike Quackenbush beat Sabu in a Texas Death match after Sabu missed a Triple Jump Moonsault and Quack was able to hit the Quackendriver II for the win. RoV Grand Champion Frank Gotch defeated Diamond Dallas Page with the Gotch Toe Hold to retain the title. Page had Gotch in trouble a few times but Gotch took out Page's knee before locking on his signature hold. next week: - Ricky Landell tries to earn a measure of revenge against Timber

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 35 The Armstrongs beat Tom Prichard & Chris Candido in an action-packed match when Bullet Bob put Prichard away with the sleeper to open the show. Necro Butcher lost handily to Savage T after a Vertebreaker and a Flying Crossbody from the top! Savage T wins! Savage T wins! Delirious beat Arik Cannon with Chemical Imbalance #2 in a quick match. Ricky Landell lost to Timber after being on the receiving end of a brutal beating. Timber finished him off with the Logsplitter. As Timber had his hand raised, Steve Corino attacked him from behind and gave him the Old School Expulsion! Corino snatched the mic from the announcer and challenged Timber to a Dog Collar Match next week! Strangler Lewis beat Ivan Koloff by DQ when Koloff was caught using the Russian Chain. Jim Cornette berated Koloff after the loss. As Koloff was leaving the ring area, Sir Oliver Humperdink climbed the guardrail and walked back to the dressing room with Koloff. In the main event, RoV Tag Team champions the Kings of Wrestling beat the Naptown Dragons in a cage match after a Hero Sandwich on Vortekz to retain the titles. next week: - The Armstrongs vs. The Dream Team for a shot at the RoV Tag Team titles

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 36 Thunder & Lightning beat the Samoan Island Tribe when Liger hit the Top Rope Huracanrana on Samu to open the show. Necro Butcher obtained some measure of revenge and beat Savage T with the Tiger Driver. Drake Younger lost to Larry Sweeney after the 12 Large Elbow Drop in a shocking upset. Younger got on the mic after the match and demanded a rematch against Sweeney but was attacked from behind by Sweeney's charge, Adam Pearce. In a match for a shot at the RoV Tag Team champions, The Armstrongs beat the Dream Team when Valentine was counted out. In a match for a shot at the RoV Grand Championship, Strangler Lewis outlasted Delirious and won with the Strangler's Headlock in a phenomenal match. The crowd gave both men a standing ovation after the match. Gotch-Lewis 2 next week! In the main event, Steve Corino beat Timber in a dog collar match with the Old School Expulsion. next week: - Drake Younger vs. Adam Pearce

Ring of Victory Battlefield Episode 37 Thunder & Lightning lost by count out to the Heartbreak Express (with Diamond Dallas Page) when Diamond Dallas Page gave Quackenbush the Diamond Cutter on the floor. Ricky Landell beat Savage T by DQ after a brawl on the floor. Savage T has been vicious lately. Necro Butcher lost to Timber after a Spinebuster. Steve Corino lost to Delirious after Chemical Imbalance #2. Delirious continues to climb the rankings. Drake Younger defeated Adam Pearce with an Exploder Suplex in a phenomenal match. Younger will get his hands on Larry Sweeney next week. RoV Tag Team champions the Kings of Wrestling narrowly defeated the Armstrongs to retain the titles after Claudio hit the Riccola Bomb on Brad. In the main event, RoV Grand Champion Frank Gotch lost to Strangler Lewis after a Bear Hug and Trip. Strangler Lewis is the new RoV Grand Champion! After the match, while Lewis was celebrating in the ring, Gotch was attacked from the crowd as he walked back to the dressing room by George Hackenschmidt. Hack battered Gotch against the guard rail and locked him in the Russian Bear Hug until Lewis and security made the save.
