YOUR MID-WEEK UPDATE FOR PRO WRESTLING INDEPENDENT SPIRIT

ITEM: This weeks show originates from sunny California as PWIS teams up with Championship Wrestling From Hollywood for a supercard not to be missed. A card this stacked needs more than one main event. Actually, there will be a triple main event:
1) Willie Mack will continue his feud with Adam Pearce and Kevin Steen and he will get help from his friend Arik Royal.
2) The Tribe defend the Heritage Tag Team Title against the Heartbreak Express
3) Bryan Danielson takes on Scorpio Sky which should be an instant classic.

ITEM: Three more teams have been announced for the Spirit of Cooperation Tag Team Tournament:
The Samoan Island Tribe - Alofa and Samu

Louden Noxious and Dave Marquez greet the crowd.
Louden: "We welcome you all to Pro Wrestling Independent Spirit's first ever supercard. Dave Marquez, what can the fans expect tonight?"
Dave: "They can expect a lot of great professional wrestling action with all of the stars of PWIS and Championship Wrestling From Hollywood."
Louden: "We have a big night of matches ahead, so let's start the show!"

(Louden Noxious and Jeff Resnick are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Cedric the Hitman vs. Ricky Landell

The two man battle back and forth but Cedric takes over after bashing Landell twice with his briefcase. He finishes him off with the Hair Trigger.

Winner: Cedric the Hitman

MATCH #2

Daizee Haze vs. April Hunter

Haze absorbed an incredible amount of punishment at the hands of the much bigger Hunter. She was finally put away by The Head Hunter.

Winner: April Hunter

The Hobo is backstage talking to the Blue Meanie. Hobo looks confused, almost disoriented.
Meanie: "You ready for our match tonight Hobo?"
Hobo: "Huh? Oh, yeah... Sure..."
Colt Cabana walks by. "Hey, Meanie. Good to see ya."
Hobo looks at Meanie, perplexed: "You're real? I thought I ate a bad can of beans..."

MATCH #3

Nick Madrid vs. Necro Butcher

Necro Butcher made quick work of Madrid after ramming him into the ringpost and dropping him with two Tiger Drivers.

Winner: Necro Butcher

MATCH #4

Los Banditos vs. Colt Cabana & 2 Cold Scorpio

Scorpio and Tito Escondido start the match and the double team tactics of the Banditos soon have Scorpio hurting. Scorpio kicks out of multiple pin attempts and eventually tags in Cabana who gives Escondido a pounding. Colt tags Scorpio back in to finish off Escondido, but Rico Dynamite comes into save his partner leading to an uncontrollable brawl. The ref throws the match out.

Double disqualification

Inside the locker room of Hollywood Sleaze, the Heartbreak Express are intensely conversing with Joey Ryan, Rhett Titus, and Kenny King.
Superstar Sean: "After tonight, we're going to be the top team around here. Notice is served."
King: "Oh, yeah. Well, those belts are coming our way. We earned a shot and we don't care who we have to beat to get them!"
Jonny Fairplay interjects: "That's something we can deal with another time. Tonight we win our own matches against these two 'Tribes'. Can we agree on that?"
Everyone nods their head.
Ryan: "So we all going to the after party tonight and getting sleazy?"
Superstar Sean: "You know it, baby!"

MATCH #5

The Kings of Wrestling vs. Blue Meanie & The Hobo

The Kings destroy Blue Meanie with little effort. Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli each execute their finishers. Hobo never makes it into the ring.

Winners: Kings of Wrestling

Match #6

Hollywood Sleaze vs. The Samoan Island Tribe

Joey Ryan and ANX started off good but Alofa dodged an attack by Kenny King, clotheslining him. Samu is tagged in and pins King after a Diving Headbutt.

Winners: Samoan Island Tribe

Match #7

Johnny Yuma vs. Mike Quackenbush

Both men shake, showing good sportsmanship. Yuma started strong getting an early pin attempt after a Sex Factor. Quackenbush's 'lightening" reflexes swing the match in his favor and he puts Yuma down for the three count after a running lariat.

Winner: Mike Quackenbush

Intermission: Willie Mack and Arik Royal are in the locker room getting ready for tonight's main event.
Willie: "Hey man, thanks for helping me out tonight. I really appreciate it."
Royal: "You know I couldn't let what's been going on continue. They won't get away with injuring you like that. How's that neck feelin' anyway?"
Willie rubs at his neck brace and breaks a slight smile: "Oh, I think it'll be okay."


Louden: "Welcome back from intermission. Joining Mike and I on commentary for tonight's main events is Stu Stone."
Stu: "I'm sure it's your privilege to have the leader of the Family Stone, #GreatestCommentatorInWrestling, here for Sunday Nite Stu."

Match #8

Scorpio Sky vs. Bryan Danielson

Louden: "Danielson has had an impressive winning streak lately."
Stu: "Let's see how that streak lasts when #TheMostOverratedManInWrestling runs into the Scorpio Sky Experience."
The match begins with hold and counter-hold. But once Danielson's strikes start landing Scorpio is in trouble. Danielson slaps on the LeBell Lock forcing Sky to tap, getting another impressive win.

Winner: Bryan Danielson

MATCH #9

Hollywood Heritage Tag Team Championship

(Champions)The Tribe vs. The Heartbreak Express

The Tribe makes embarrassingly quick work of the HBE. Reservation Devastation wipes out Superstar Sean and Navajo Warrior gets the pin.

Winners: The Tribe

MAIN EVENT

Willie Mack & Arik Royal vs. Adam Pearce & Kevin Steen

Royal hurts Steen early with a couple of tilt-a-whirl gutbusters but misses a charge in the corner and Steen takes over. Pearce tags in and in typical fashion starts working Royal's neck. Pearce throws everything at Royal including a pair of Jumping Piledrivers but Royal won't stay down. Steen is tagged in and he continues the punishment then dumps Royal to the floor. Royal manages to grab Steen and slam him face-first into the ring steps. Royal begins pummeling Steen until Pearce throws a chair in the ring and pushes Willie from the ring apron. Steen and Pearce then spike piledrive Royal onto the chair. The referee calls for the bell, disqualifying the heels. They bail from the ring as Willie comes to Royal's aid. Willie calls for the mic after medical assistance arrives: "No way! Dave Marquez, get out here! This ain't over. No way."
Marquez enters the ring, PWIS commissioner Charlie Cox on his heels. Willie demands that the match continue. He'll fight his enemies alone if he has to. The two officials confer and shake their heads. It's too dangerous. "I'm begging you. Come on let me do this"
Marquez and Cox discuss it some more and present a solution.
Cox: "If Kevin Steen leaves ringside, and if Adam Pearce agrees with it, then we will let this match continue one-on-one."
Steen indicates to Pearce that Willie's neck is hurt and Pearce nods his head, accepting the offer.
Cox: "Are you okay with this Willie?"
Willie just nods, ready to tear into Pearce.
Once Steen is gone and Royal is helped to the back Pearce gets in the ring, smiling like a fox in a hen house. His demeanor quickly changes as Willie tears his neck brace off and rotates his head on his shoulders, grinning. The bell rings to continue the match.
The two battle back and forth but when Willie gets the upper hand, Pearce bails out of the ring. When Willie comes after him, Pearce again uses a chair, getting himself disqualified a second time. Pearce leaves the ring area as Willie struggles to his feet. The match is officially over but without resolution of this feud.

Winners: Willie Mack & Arik Royal

AFTERMATH

Willie Mack's locker room

Dave Marquez and Jon Ian are trying to calm Willie down.
Jon: "Arik's going to miss a little time but he's going to be okay."
Willie: "Arik's tough. I ain't worried about that. I'm sick of Pearce either running or having someone's help. This needs to be settled and there's only one place that's going to happen. In a steel cage."

Hollywood Sleaze and the Heartbreak Express leaving the building

Kenny King: "Thanks for softening them up for us."
He and Rhett Titus are laughing. Superstar Sean and Fabulous Phil are not amused.
Joey Ryan: "Hey, hey. Be cool. The night's still young and it's going to be sleazy!"

[Crimson Cross]

I was hoping Nick Madrid would've won over Necro Butcher and the same for the Heartbreak Express over the Tribe. I really like the heat between Mack & Pearce, it should be a barnburner of a battle between those two...

Thanks for reading Crimson and Horrorshow. I too was hoping for a better showing from the Heartbreak Express but the Tribe are just brutal. YOUR MID-WEEK UPDATE FOR PRO WRESTLING INDEPENDENT SPIRIT

ITEM: This weeks show, co-presented with Absolute Intense Wrestling, comes to you from Turners Hall in Cleveland OH. It will be a great night of action featuring Bryan Danielson, Colt Cabana, 'All Ego" Ethan Page, and the Necro Butcher.

ITEM: The final three teams to enter the Spirit of Cooperation Tag Team Tournament are:
2 Colt Scorpio - Colt Cabana and 2 Cold Scorpio
The New Backseat Boys - Johnny Kashmere and J.D. Michaels
The Carolina Lumber Co. - Brodie Lee and Timber
And it has just been announced: the tournament, to be held April 14 from the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium, will crown the first ever PWIS tag team champions! If you can't be in attendance, be sure to watch it on iPPV.

INTRO

Louden Noxious: "Hello Cleveland! Welcome, AIW fans, to Pro Wrestling Independent Spirit! Are you ready..."
Louden is interrupted by music coming over the PA. Ethan Page and Seleziya Sparx come through the curtain to the jeers of the fans. Page runs his mouth at the ringsiders while Seleziya climbs into the ring.
Louden: " 'All Ego' Ethan Page. To what do we owe this... fortunate interruption?"
Page grabs the mic: "Don't get smart with me hippie! This is my house. You bring your guys here and try to take my spotlight? Isn't happening, bro!"
Page catches Louden glancing at his sexy valet: "Whoah, whoah! What are you looking at? That's my property, bro!" He points Seleziya to the back. "Get out of here, stupid." As Sparx exits, pouting, Page addresses Louden and the audience: "Like I said, no one is coming in here and taking my spotlight. You send your best in here and I'll show them who the boss is around here!"
Louden asks for the mic which Page grudgingly relents: "Mr. Page, you will have your chance to prove just that later tonight."

(Louden Noxious and Vic Travagliante are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Colt Cabana & 2 Cold Scorpio vs. Adam Pearce & Ken Doane

Pearce and Doane start the match putting a hurt on Scoprio. After a couple of near falls, Scorpio is able to tag out. Colt pounds on Pearce a while but Pearce sends Colt through the ropes and starts whipping him with his leather strap. Doane is tagged back in and continues punishing Colt. Doane then goes up top and lands a Sky High Leg Drop on Colt to get the upset win.

Winners: Adam Pearce & Ken Doane

MATCH #2

Daizee Haze vs. Sara Del Rey

Haze has trouble with Del Rey's size and technical ability. She uses her quickness to mount some offense but Del Rey will only take so much. She pounds on Haze and defeats her with a Butterfly Powerslam.

Winner: Sara Del Rey

MATCH #3

Delirious vs. Drake Younger

This match was a knock down drag out fight. Delirious' high flying assault was met with Younger's ground and pound proficiency. Neither combatant seemed to be interested in a pin fall or submission. As the fight spilled out of the ring, Delirious went berserk cornering Younger against the barricade pummeling him. When he would not obey the ref's instructions, he was disqualified and officials had to separate him from a bloodied Younger. As Delirious was dragged to the back, Younger just sat against the barricade, laughing and spitting blood.

Winner: Drake Younger

MATCH #4

Mike Quackenbush vs. Ethan Page

Page returns to the ring to await his opponent. The crowd pops when Quackenbush comes through the curtain. During the introductions Seleziya slinks over to Quackenbush's corner but he wants nothing to do with her.
Page: "What? Are you to good for her?"
Quackenbush: "No, but she's too good for you."
Page charges his opponent clotheslining him. He follows up with a few more big strikes but Quack turns the tables and overwhelms Page with multiple pin situations. Page fights back and the contest is even until Quackenbush hits Page with a big clothesline from the top rope and follows with a swanton dive for the victory.

Winner: Mike Quackenbush

Intermission: Louden is backstage chatting with Daizee Haze. He is bumped from behind be a grungy man in a wheelchair holding a cup of beer. It's Dr. Col. Nolan Angus. He lets out a huge, beer-fueled belch: "Excuse me young man, veteran coming through." Daizee catches Angus' eye, and he drunkenly asks, "Would you like to go for a ride on the lap of a Kentucky Gentleman, darlin'?"
Haze doesn't know what to do then shrugs and has a seat. Louden is perplexed as the two wheel off down the hall.
Angus: "Maybe I'll break out the good bourbon for a pretty little thing like you."

MATCH #5

Necro Butcher vs. Ricky Landell

Necro attacks Landell at the bell with punches and kicks. Landell uses agility to counter but each time the advantage is short lived. Landell's break comes when he reverses a whip into the corner, knocking Necro down with a clothesline. He hits his prone opponent with a Top Rope Fist Drop for the win.

Winner: Ricky Landell

MAIN EVENT

Bryan Danielson vs. Claudio Castagnoli

Danielson makes a critical mistake at the bell. He is over-aggressive and charges Castagnoli who gets out of the way and sends Danielson to the floor. Returning to the ring, Danielson is blasted with multiple European Uppercuts. He tries to leave the ring and collect himself but Claudio grabs him and smashes him to the canvas with a Ricola Bomb. Castagnoli gives Danielson his first defeat in PWIS.

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli

AFTERMATH

Colt Cabana's dressing room

Colt is inspecting the welts on his back from the strapping he took at the hands of Adam Pearce. "This sure isn't the way to head into the tournament next week."
Scorpio: "We've had our ups and downs but I believe it will all come together next week."
Colt: "Well, no matter what happens, Pearce and his buddy will see us again."

Turners Hall parking lot

Adam Pearce and Ken Doane loading there gear into the trunk of their car.
Doane: "It seems to me that we should be taking the place of those two idiots we just beat in that tournament next week."
Pearce: "You would be correct, my young friend. (looks at the camera) And gentlemen, Commissioner Cox, whoever's in charge, if this situation isn't remedied, there will be consequences." (slams the trunk shut)
