Video clip of Nick Gage and Joe Dombrowski backstage at "Stranger's Road".
"Hey, Joe, Let me hit ya up a minute.”
"Sure, Nick. What can I do for you?"
"I wanted to run something by you. When you hired me I know you said you didn’t want to do extreme sh*t here but my fans, the MDK crew man, they want to see me perpetrate some ultraviolence."
"Now, Nick, come on, we talked about this…"
"Wait. Hear me out. If there’s a spot on a show coming up where you think it could fit in, let me do my thing, man. I know you got some big shows coming up in Dallas. Maybe on one of those."
"I… I don’t know, Nick."
"It’s cool. I’m not trying to be an a**hole here. I appreciate you using me on your shows. Just think about it okay?"
"Look, I’ll see what I can do. Maybe I can come up with something that we’ll both be happy with."
"That's all I'm askin' for. Whatever you want to do, I’m down."

Spirit of Cooperation 2022 Fair Park Coliseum
Dallas, TX April 2, 2022Commentary: Joe Dombrowski
Ring Announcer: Larry Legend
Referees: Jake Clemons, Kris Levin
All matches contested under Level 1 Rules (strict).
The stream opens with Larry Legend hyping up the crowd. He welcomes everyone to the Spirit of Cooperation Tag Team Tournament and gets things underway.
Larry: “This is a first round match…”
First round match
Bear Country vs. Wild Cards
Joe: “Good evening, everyone. Joe Dombrowski on the call. By the end of the night, we will have new PWIS Tag Team Champions. We start off with the hulking team known as Bear Country, taking on a team that hasn’t wrestled together in quite some time, the Wild Cards. And they’re going to have to knock the rust off quick if they plan to win here tonight.”
Thom Latimer starts out against the smaller member of Bear Country, Bear Bronson. Latimer counters the rush by Bronson and quickly puts him down with a spear. Thom keeps the ball rolling with a pop-up powerbomb and a Heretic’s Fork, showing that Bear Country isn’t the only team with muscle. Royce Isaacs tags in for Wild Cards. Bronson reaches for the tag but Isaacs and Latimer cut off the ring with expert teamwork. Latimer lands a senton from the top rope and makes the cover. Bronson kicks out after a long two. Isaacs is back in and Bear Boulder is getting antsy in his corner, seeing that his partner is in trouble. Money Clip by Isaacs and he turns to goad Boulder. That brief moment was all Bronson needed to get his wits and reverse Royce’s lariat with a standing uranage. Boulder tags in! However, his fury is outmaneuvered by the cool-headed Isaacs who scores with some hard hitting offense. Wild Cards go Fully Wild but only get a two count. Latimer drives Boulder into the mat with Number of the Beast. Thom throws Boulder into the ropes but the huge man rebounds with a flying shoulder tackle. Bear Country crush Latimer in the corner with the Kodiak Cannonball. Latimer rolls out of the ring and Bronson follows. Isaacs picks up a chair, intending to come to his partner's defense. He is intercepted by Boulder who takes the chair and starts bashing both Wild Cards with it. Boulder is going berserk. The referee calls for the bell, disqualifying Bear Country.
Joe: “Bear Country are out of control. Wild Cards move on!”
Winners: Wild Cards
First round match
Rip City Shooters vs. Aussie Open
Joe: “The team of Wes Barkley and Joshua Bishop, who have found success in the AIW promotion, take on the popular team from down under - ‘Aussie Arrow’ Kyle Fletcher and ‘Dunkzilla’ Mark Davis.”
Fletcher and Barkley get things going for their teams. Fletcher counters Barkley’s first move and puts him to the mat with a sitout powerbomb. Wes writhes and gets to his feet only to be met with a diving crossbody from Kyle. Two count. Davis tags in and piledrives Barkley with Close Your Eyes. Bishop has to come in for the save. Running senton by Davis and Wes is getting destroyed. Fletcher is back in and Aussie Open hit their Fidget Spinner finisher. Bishop comes in for the save but Davis cuts him off. Barkley barely kicks out and the crowd starts chanting ‘That was three!’ as Kyle checks with the ref about the count. Aussie Open keep Barkley isolated and drop him with the Fidget Spinner again. And again, Wes kicks out at the last moment. Davis shakes his head in disbelief. "Dunkzilla" with Close Your Eyes. Another kick out! A third Fidget Spinner finally does the job with Fletcher getting the pin. Josh stands over his partner shaking his head, having not seen any action. Bishop has to just about carry Barkley to the back.
Joe: “Wes Barkley with a valiant effort. But you can’t take that much damage and expect to come out on top. Aussie Open with the impressive win.”
Winners: Aussie Open
Larry: “All right ladies and gentlemen, let’s keep the ball rolling here.”
There is a lot of trash talking during the introductions for the Revolt! and the Besties In the World. Things come to blows and the ref struggles to get partners out of the ring.
First round match
Revolt! vs. Besties In the World
Joe: ““This is a match up of two veteran teams on the indy scene with the Revolt! out of the Carolinas and Mid-West mainstays the Besties.”
As the bell rings, Davey Vega is in control of Zane Riley following the pre-match scuffle. The Besties work on Zane and Matt Fitchett catches him with a Gotcha Piledriver. Cover and kick out at two. Fitchett goes for a top rope crossbody and hooks a leg for an easy pin.
Joe: “The Besties In the World get through the first round in a flash!”
Winners: Besties In the World
The Ironbeast team of Shane Mercer and KTB come out for the next match. They wait and Chris Masters’ music finally plays. Chris takes his time before coming through the curtain. When he does so, everyone can see that he is dressed in a track suit. He saunters down the aisle, smirking as the fans heckle him.
Joe: “What is going on here?”
Chris gets to the ring and looks up at his would-be opponents. Mercer impatiently demands to know why Masters isn’t ready to wrestle. Masters asks for a microphone.
“Hey. Hey, Shane Mercer. Remember when I asked you to be my tag team partner for tonight? Well, I never wanted you as my partner. I just wanted everyone to see the both of us in the same place at the same time. So they could see that you are just a cheap imitation of ‘The Masterpiece’. You’re just a knock-off. Actually, I think that’s your name from now on. Knock-off. So, what we got here is Captain Caveman and Knockoff. You guys should, like, be in a movie or something.”
Mercer is riled up and the ref has to hold him back as KTB gets worked up behind them. Mercer tells Masters to get in the ring.
“Oh, I’m not here to wrestle…” Chris looks out over the crowd, trying to spot someone. He seems to see who he’s looking for and continues. “Now, I see your face getting all red over there, Joe Dombrowski. Watch your blood pressure, now. I told you I would bring a partner tonight and I did. As a matter of fact, I brought two of them.”
Chris turns to the curtain as music begins to play. Out through the curtain step Matt Cardona and Bryan Myers - the Major Players.
Joe: “Masters, what in the world are you trying to pull?!”
Cardona and Myers egg on the crowd as they come down to the ring. They high five Masters at ringside. The self-satisfied Masters speaks again.
“So, what do you say, Joe? You let my friends here take my place? Or maybe we just won’t have a match…”
The crowd boos and there is some communication going on between the ringside staff. Someone speaks to Larry and it appears he has been given the go-ahead. He makes the introductions for the impromptu match.
First round match
Ironbeast vs. Major Players w/Chris Masters
Joe: “Fans, I want to apologize for the unorthodox proceedings. It looks like we have a match. Just not the one we were expecting.”
KTB goes after Brian Meyers at the bell, attempting a slam but Myers evades and plants a dropkick square in the face of his opponent. Myers is all over KTB and tags in Matt Cardona for a Russian leg sweep/inverted STO combo. Cardona keeps the pressure on with high impact offense but KTB seems to be absorbing the damage better than one would expect and is able to tag out. Shane Mercer chops Cardona and smashes him hard with a pair of pop-up powerslams. Matt is bleary and not defending himself very well. Mercer gives Cardona a tombstone and goes for the pin, only getting a two count. KTB tags back in and lands a BeastSault that has Cardona reaching for a tag. The tag goes the other way however with Ironbeast planting Cardona with an assisted suplex powerbomb and Mercer scoring the pin.
Masters gets in the ring and grabs the ref, disputing the count. Ironbeast get aggressive and Masters and company clear out.
Joe: “Whatever Masters had up his sleeve didn’t seem to work. Ironbeast are looking strong. We’re on to the second round!”
Winners: Ironbeast
Semi-final match
Aussie Open vs. Wild Cards
Latimer and Davis, the two big men for their teams, square off head to head as the bell rings. Davis goes to the ropes and Latimer misses a running back elbow as Davis cartwheels out of the way and then connects with a lariat that knocks Thom flat. Davis hits a running senton and makes the cover but Latimer easily kicks out. “Aussie Arrow” Kyle Fletcher tags in and Latimer goes down hard with a double team Fidget Spinner for the three count and the second flash win on the night.
Joe: “Wow! Aussie Open wasting no time going into the finals.”
Winners: Aussie Open
Semi-final match
Ironbeast vs. Besties In the World
Joe: “While the Besties exerted very little energy in their first match, Mercer and Kyle the Beast didn’t get a lot of time to rest but they look pumped up and ready to keep going.”
KTB sends Fitchett into the turnbuckle and follows up with a Beasthammer. Unrelenting, KTB hits an inverted atomic drop & splash. Vega is reaching for the tag but Fitchett is stunned. Fitchett gets trapped in a half crab and seems close to tapping out but digs deep to escape the hold. Mercer tags in and springs from the top rope but comes up empty as Fitchett rolls out of the way. Mat hits a Busaiku Knee and makes it to his corner to tag in Vega. Mercer avoids a jumping double stomp by Davey and throws him across the ring with a powerful Beell. Ironbeast give Vega a Gif Plex & powerbomb combo. It’s Vega’s turn to be on the receiving end of a Beasthammer by KTB. Davey takes more abuse from a Powerbomb & Bridging German Suplex that looks to spell the end but Chris Masters shows up at ringside and distracts the ref from the count. Unphased, Ironbeast pull off the finisher again but this time Fitchett is there for the save. Vega evades to some degree but Ironbeast smell blood. A discus lariat by Mercer is stiff AF. Davey somehow manages to tag out and the Besties give Mercer an assisted cutter that leaves him vulnerable. A flurry of offense by Fitchett culminates in a Gotcha Piledriver. Mercer kicks out of the ensuing pin attempt. Fitchett misses a charge in the corner and Ironbeast start mauling him. Fitchett takes the Deadlift Powerbomb & Bridging German Suplex combo finisher and is pinned.
Joe: “Ironbeast are on an absolute tear! They move on to face Aussie Open in the final in what should be an incredible contest.”
Winners: Ironbeast
Joe: “We’re going to take a short break from the tag team tournament to bring you this special match between the 3-0 Lee Moriarty and the dynamic star from the world of lucha libre, Flamita.”
Flamita vs. Lee Moriarty
Moriarty opens the contest with a fantastic Alita armdrag that sends Flamita sprawling across the ring. Lee follows up with a corner enzuigiri that rocks his opponent. With Flamita wobbly, Moriarty tries putting him away with a rolling European clutch but only gets a two count. As Flamita kicks out, Moriarty rolls through and applies a Joint Custody armbar. Flamita quickly scrambles for the rope break. Moriarty keeps Flamita off balance with his high energy offense and Flamita doesn’t seem to have an answer for it. Flamita finally creates an opening as he reverses Lee with a devastating DDT. Flamita goes for a 450 Splash and sticks it. 1, 2, Moriarty kick out. It’s Flamita's turn to dazzle with his lucha-based offense. A string of lightning fast maneuvers leads to a crushing Retador. This sets up another 450 Splash. Moriarty kicks out at one! Flamita keeps the momentum going but is soon met with a corkscrew European uppercut as Moriarty rebounds off the ropes. Moriarty goes for the Taigadriver X. Flamita kick out. A lengthy, technical, and fast-pace exchange goes on that ends with a devastating seated double stomp by Moriarty for the pin.
Joe: “Another absolute classic by Lee Moriarty in PWIS! Amazing!”
Winner: Lee Moriarty
The fans are worked up in anticipation of the tournament final.
Larry: “It’s about to go down!”
Larry is ready to make the introductions and states that the match will be fought under Level 2 Rules to ensure a definitive winner.
Finals
Ironbeast vs. Aussie Open
Joe: “It all comes down to this. Ironbeast is on a rampage but is it enough to overcome the focus and discipline exercised by Aussie Open? We’re about to crown new PWIS Tag Team Champions.”
Kyle Fletcher and Shane Mercer circle each other. They each throw shots that fail to connect. Mark Davis comes in and joins Fletcher for a back suplex & neckbreaker combination on Mercer. Fletcher lands more offense while at the same time evading Mercer's attempts.
Joe: “Fatigue may be setting in with Shane Mercer whose road to the finals was far more taxing Kyle's."
KTB tags in and gets things going, putting the boots to Fletcher who tags out to Mark Davis. “Dunkzilla” hurls KTB across the ring with a huge Beell. KTB is disoriented and Davis takes advantage with Close Your Eyes. KTB kicks out of the pin attempt and Fletcher tags back in. Fletcher goes for a brainbuster but Mercer comes to aid his partner and Ironbeast drive Fletcher into the canvas with an assisted suplex powerbomb. Kyle crawls toward his corner but Mercer tags in and cuts him off. Shane tosses Kyle out to the floor and roughs him up at ringside. Davis tags in and the Aussies launch Mercer into the turnbuckles with a Pop-up Aussie Arrow. Mercer catches Kyle with a Gif Plex and takes him back out to the floor for some fisticuffs. Ironbeast smash Fletcher with a Gif Plex & powerbomb. KTB makes the cover and Kyle kicks out as the ref’s hand slaps the mat a third time. No fall! Beastsault!! This time the count is interrupted by the Major Players running down to the ring.
Joe: “That’s twice now that Masters and his cronies have stuck their noses in Ironbeast’s business.”
The ref has Cardona and Myers removed and the match continues. Fletcher takes some more punishment before he is able to counter and make a much needed tag. Aussie Open double team KTB trying to put him away. KTB fires back on Davis with one kick after another. KTB makes the defense tag as Davis starts his comeback. Davis and Mercer match power and Mercer gets the upper hand. The fight goes to the floor again and Mercer takes a steel chair to the back of Davis. Softened up, Davis falls prey to Mercer’s Iron Crush but kicks out at one. KTB savages Davis for a stretch of time. Aussie Open gets back on track and Fletcher hits Grimstone twice on Mercer but fails to get the pin. KTB returns and pummels Fletcher, nearly pinning him after Go To Beast. Fletcher doesn’t have much left and KTB pulls out all the stops and gives him a Beasthammer through a chair at ringside. Miraculously, Fletcher reverses KTB coming off the ropes. Davis tags back in and the Aussies break out a double team frenzy on KTB, leading to the Fidget Spinner. Davis makes the cover. Fletcher blocks out Mercer. Last second kick out by KTB. The crowd can’t believe it! Fidget Spinner again! Mercer makes the save! Mayhem breaks loose with all four men brawling. Davis and KTB end up on the floor and Davis Beells his opponent into the crowd, wiping out the first four rows of chairs. Davis rolls the limp KTB back into the ring and lands on him with a running senton, covering him for the three count and the win.
Winners: Aussie Open
The wrestlers, the crowd, and even Joe Dombrowski on commentary, are all exhausted.
Joe: “I don’t know what to say. This may have been the greatest tag team match in PWIS history!”
All four participants can barely stand but meet each other in the middle of the ring and Ironbeast grudgingly congratulate the new PWIS Tag Team Champions. The new belts are awarded to the victors who display them to the crowd. As things start to wind down, they pick up again as music starts to play. All eyes look to the curtain and out step Ross and Marshall - the Von Erichs! The Dallas crowd pops as their favorite sons greet them.
Joe: “We are being joined by Texas wrestling royalty!”
The stream ends as the Von Erichs point to the new champions and nod, making their intentions clear to everyone.
Joe: "That's all for now! See you tomorrow night For The Irony of Man! Goodnight!"

An excellent kickoff for a weekend of PWIS action... Very cool that Ironbeast was able to burn the best laid plans of the Masterpiece -- Much to the chagrin of Myers & Cardona... The final contest of the tournament was absolutely top notch... And the arrival of the Von Erichs was a brilliant way to close out an exciting event.
Looking forward to The Irony of Man... Awesome stuff!

The Irony of Man Fair Park Coliseum
Dallas, TX April 3, 2022Commentary: Joe Dombrowski
Ring Announcer: Larry Legend
Referees: Jake Clemons, Kris Levin
All matches contested under Level 1 Rules (strict).
The cheering crowd in the Fair Park Coliseum anxiously waits for Larry Legend to begin the introductions. Music interrupts Larry as he is about to speak. Through the curtains come Chris Masters, Matt Cardona, and Brian Myers. The fans immediately start jeering them. The trio take to the ring and bully Larry out of the way, Masters relieving him of the microphone.
Chris: “I know what all of you are thinking. What are ‘The Masterpiece’ Chris Masters and the Major Players doing together? What do these guys have in common? What we have in common is that we’ve all been to the show. We’ve all performed on the grandest stage of them all. You know, the one everyone is in town to see.”
Matt: “And no one else in this mudshow promotion can say that!”
Before Masters can continue, Ironbeast come down to ringside.”
Chris: “Well, well, well. Look who we have here - Captain Caveman and Knockoff. Don’t you guys have a crime to fight somewhere or something?”
Cardona and Myers laugh but Shane Mercer and KTB are not amused.
Shane: “You cost us the tag team titles last night!”
Masters loses his cool.
Chris: “No! YOU cost US the tag team titles! We were trying to give this crappy company some credibility and you two idiots ruined it! So then we ruined it for you.”
Mercer makes a move to get in the ring and Masters and company urge him to do it but KTB holds him back.
Shane: “We want a piece of you. Tonight!”
Chris: “You want a piece of us? Ok, which of us do want to kick your ass?”
Shane: “All three of you!”
Matt: “Ha,ha! All three of us? Ok, it’s your funeral, you pieces of sh*t!”
The crowd react loudly to the confrontation. The two parties take there leave and Larry resumes getting the show underway.
Calvin Tankman vs. Tony Deppen
Joe: “Now that we're back on track, let's get to our opening contest."
Deppen goes right at Tankman, biting his face. Calvin swats him away with big clubbing blows. Tony is tenacious though and uses his agility to get the advantage on his much larger opponent. Tankman shrugs off most of Deppen's attacks but can’t land any of his own. That changes momentarily when Calvin gets his hands on the squirrelly Deppen and slams him with a sitout powerbomb. The cat and mouse game resumes until Tankman catches Tony by surprise with a Pounce, sending him flying. Running shooting star press by Tankman has the people out of their seats. Tankman delivers a devastating brainbuster and Deppen rolls out of the ring. Tankman is getting frustrated chasing his quarry and follows. Tony is desperate and pushes a fan out of their chair and slams it on Tankman. The ref calls for the disqualification. Tankman recovers and when Deppen sees the look in his eyes, he runs for the hills.
Winner: Calvin Tankman
Thom Latimer vs. Caleb Konley
Joe: “Now we see a couple of participants from yesterday’s tag team tournament in singles action.”
Konley attempts a shoulder tackle as his opening move and just bounces off of the imposing frame of Latimer. Thom smashes Caleb silly with a running corner forearm and drops him on his head with Number of the Beast. Konley tries fighting back but a spear by Thom takes the wind out of his sails. Caleb lands some weak shots and Latimer responds with a brutal lariat. Latimer looks to end it with The Brighter Side of Suffering but pulls Caleb up before the ref can count three. Latimer sadistically continues to punish Konley. Battling on the floor, Konley gets some shots in. A surprise roll up by Konley for a near fall. Double Jump Moonsault for another near fall. This just makes Latimer angry and he gives Konley the beating of his life. Multiple piledrivers and hard slams lead to it finally ending with The Brighter Side of Suffering.
After the bell, Latimer corners Konley and starts paint brushing him. Caleb’s partner Zane Riley arrives and pulls Latimer away and the two start trading blows. Konley joins in and the Revolt! take it to Latimer. In short time, Latimer’s partner, Royce Isaacs joins the fray and it takes some time for staff to separate them.
Winner: Thom Latimer
Willow Nightingale vs. Miranda Gordy
The ladies show good sportsmanship, shaking hands before the contest. Willow makes an early mistake and is nearly pinned after Babe’s Spike. Willow is overwhelmed by the determined Miranda and falls to a Power Slam by Gordy.
Joe: “Congratulations to Miranda on her first win in PWIS.”
Winner: Miranda Gordy
Chris Masters and the Major Players come out and await their opponents. They are soon joined by Ironbeast. The trio are brimming with confidence thinking they have the numbers game. Shane Mercer asks for the mic and Larry hands it to him.
Shane: “You pulled a real fast one last night, Masters. You brought out your two surprise partners there. Well, tonight, we’re the ones with a surprise partner."
At that moment, stepping through the curtain is Madman Fulton. Masters starts shaking his head and the expression on Matt Cardona’s face can only be described as comical. None of them were expecting to have to step into the ring with the 6’8” titan that is Fulton.
Joe: “Talking to Ironbeast and Fulton before the show, they told me they want to be known as the Godz of Destruction. Who am I to argue?”
After a great deal of stalling by Masters’ team, the match begins.
Chris Masters & The Major Players vs. Godz of Destruction
Masters and KTB start things out and Chris pauses to issue a Masterlock Challenge to KTB. Fulton moves to step through the ropes as KTB’s stand-in but Masters rescinds his challenge. However, KTB insists that he’ll do it. The associated rigmarole ensues and the challenge is on. KTB struggles and Masters cranks the hold. At this point, Mercer intercedes and uses his own impressive strength to separate Masters’ hands and free his partner. Ironbeast then give Masters their Powerbomb & Bridging German Suplex combo. Fulton charges the Major Players in there corner and clothslines them off the apron as the referee counts Masters’ shoulders to the mat.
Masters is in shock which soon turns to rage as he grabs referee Jake Clemons by the collar, threatening him. The Godz surround Masters and he fearfully releases the official and starts to beg off. As the trio close in, Chris drops and scoots out of the ring, escaping up the aisle with his partners.
Joe: “This may go down as my highlight of the night.”
Winners: Godz of Destruction
Larry introduces the next match and explains that the winner will receive a spot on the next PWIS show taking place in May.
Joe: “I’m joined at this time by ‘Maserati’ Wes Barkley. How’s it going, Wes?”
Wes: “Pretty good, Joe. Pretty good. I was originally gonna be in this scramble but I got pulled at the last minute.”
Joe: “Well, Wes, this match is meant to get someone a spot on our next show.”
Wes: “Oh. Oh, wait! Does that mean they’re getting my spot?!”
Joe: “Ha, ha. No. Relax, Wes.”
6-Way Earn Your Spot Scramble
Trey Miguel vs. Tre’ Lamar vs. Dan the Dad vs. Edith Surreal vs. PJ Hawx vs. Orin Viedt
A wild melee starts the scramble. Tre’ LaMar and Dan the Dad are the first to take the spotlight in the ring. Dan tosses Tre’ around a bit but Tre’ makes a comeback, even denying Dan a sip from his coffee cup. Trey Miguel jumps into the action for some Trey on Tre’ violence. The two trade counters until Edith Surreal goes after Trey. Miguel quickly takes over and hits Surreal with a string of acrobatic moves. Trey tries multiple pin attempts until Tre’ LeMar reasserts himself, stunning Trey with a jumping knee. Trey turns it around quickly though, only to be targeted by PJ Hawx. Hawx treats the fans to a technical mat wrestling exhibition in the middle of a spot fest. Surreal interrupts the display and receives some cheers for it. Edith catches PJ in a stretch plum that looks to finish him but everyone else converges to break it up. Orin Viedt singles out Surreal to make his move but misses a 450 splash. Surreal locks on the Venus De Milo but Orin won’t give. Edith dumps Orin out to the floor but gets blindsided by Miguel with Complimentary Colors. Trey puts Edith through the wringer until PJ returns. More mat wrestling by PJ against Trey and the crowd shouts “Wrestling!” Edith puts a stop to it again, smashing Hawx with a Shining Wizard. Surreal makes the cover and everyone spoils her chance to win again. Dan the Dad, Tre' LaMar, and Orin Veidt go around and Tre’ shows off his arsenal against Viedt. Hawx gets in on the action but Viedt takes him out with a Cradle Shock for the pin. Joe: “We look forward to seeing Orin Viedt next month and maybe beyond.”
Wes: “As well as ‘Maserati’ Wes Barkely.”
Joe: “Yes. Wes Barkley as well.”
Winner: Orin Viedt
Jordan Oliver comes out and gets the crowd pumped up. He is soon confronted by his enigmatic opponent - Danhausen.
Joe: “As they say, Danhausen is very evil and very nice. Which should worry Jordan but also somehow reassure him.”
Wes: “Yeah, I’ve run into that Danhausen guy before. He gives me the creeps.”
Danhausen vs. Jordan Oliver
Things start quick as Oliver surprises Danhausen, catching him coming off the ropes with a DDT. Danhausen responds in kind hitting Goodnighthausen out of nowhere. One count on the pin attempt. The two go back and forth with a whirlwind of strikes and suplexes. Oliver with a Klout Krusher for two. The match continues in this fashion until Oliver catches Danhausen with CleoPatra for the win. After the fall, Jordan waits for Danhausen to recover. Danhausen looks displeased as he gets to his feet. He glares at Jordan who shakes his head, panicky. “Don’t curse me,” Jordan pleads with prayer hands. Danhausen seems to accept the supplication and nods with a little smile. Danhausen leaves and Jordan wipes his forehead in relief.
Winner: Jordan Oliver
The Von Erichs vs. Besties In the World
Joe: “The Von Erichs had a prior commitment that prevented them from participating in the Spirit of Cooperation tournament but they did show up at the end of the night to let our new tag team champions, Aussie Open, know that they were gunning for them. Tonight we have Ross and Marshall with us taking on a team that had a good showing last night, the Besties in the World.”
Ross Von Erich and Mat Fitchett kick this one off. The Besties catch Ross unawares with an assisted cutter and a quick two count. Brain Damage by the Besties and we have an upset! No. Ross kicks out. Fitchett is all over Ross who gets some offense in but has to tag out to his brother. Marshall rocks Fitchett, forcing him to tag out as well. The Besties hit Marshall with their Smash kick combo in the corner. It’s Marshall’s turn to get Brain Damage but he kicks out of the pin attempt. Ross tags back in and Fitchett almost pins him after a sitout powerbomb. Fistchett drops Ross with a Gotcha Piledriver. Marshall comes in for the save and knocks Fitchett out of his boots with a discus clothesline and Ross cradles him for the pin.
Leaving the ring, Marshall looks into the camera. “Aussie Open, we got next.”
Joe: “The Besties really pushed the Von Erichs who have to feel they got out of this one by the skin of their teeth.”
Winners: Von Erichs
Nick Gage's Invitation To Violence
Nick Gage’s music plays and the roof comes off the building. Gage comes out throwing up gang signs and makes his way through the crowd, slamming with his fans. He takes the ring and basks in the crowd reaction. As things finally start to calm down he takes the mic from Larry.
"Where my mutha f'n gang at?!”
The crowd erupts again.
“I tell you right now, this ring I’m standing in? This is my yard. And I’m the biggest dog in it. I’m the king of this sh*t! And right now I invite anyone in the back to come out here and prove me wrong. I know there’s a lot of guys back there who think they're tough but do they think they’re tough enough to chase me out of MY yard? So, c’mon! Who wants to try me?”
Gage waits and starts to pace, seeing if anyone will answer his call out. Someone comes through the curtain. Bear Bronson.
Bronson gets in the ring and goes right for Gage. They struggle for dominance and Gage comes out on top, blasting Bronson with forearm smashes. Nick throws Bronson out of the ring and powerbombs him on the apron. Gage piledrives Bronson hard. Gage pushes the downed man out of the ring with his boot. Bronson’s limp form flops on the concrete.
Nick grabs the mic again.
“Alright, who’s next?”
Wes: “What exactly is going on here?”
Joe: “It’s simple, really. Nick Gage challenges, or invites if you will, anyone on the roster who wants to come out and fight him. It’s no holds barred and Nick isn’t going to stop until someone takes him out or no else steps up.”
Wes: "That's intense."
Royce Isaacs answers the Invitation To Violence. He gets in the ring and he and Gage get into a shoving match. Royce takes down Gage and traps him in a Gator Roll. Nick fights his way to his feet but gets DDT-ed for his efforts. Isaacs dumps Gage on his head with Hush Money. Royce lines up Gage for a lariat and knocks him to the mat. He winds up for a second lariat but Gage ducks and reverses with a spinebuster. A pair of fallaway slams and a Chokebreaker has Isaacs in trouble. Piledriver by Gage. Royce gets tossed out to the floor but he reverses a whip into the ringside chairs and Gage eats seats. Gage recovers quickly and slams his opponent some more. Nick pulls a door out from under the ring and suplexes Royce onto it. Powerbomb on the apron and Isaacs can’t get back up.
Nick: “Come on! Come on! I ain’t done yet. I’ll do this ‘til I die!”
Zane Riley purposefully marches down the aisle. As he approaches the ring, Gage pulls out his pizza cutter with an expression of ill intent. Riley turns on a heel and about-faces back up the aisle.
Joe: “Some might say that Mr. Riley just exercised the better part of valor.”
Nick: “What? Is there no one else that wants to take a shot at ‘The King? Everyone back there must be a bunch of p*ssies. Let’s go!”
Newly crowned PWIS Tag Team Champion “Dunkzilla” Mark Davis of Aussie Open rips through he curtain.
Joe: “Mark Davis must have taken exception to Gage’s words.”
Wes: “Gage is done now. It took that big dude to beat ‘Maserati’ Wes last night. If he can beat me, he’ll have no trouble with Nick Gage. And you can bet on that.”
Joe: “...ok.”
Gage pounces on the bigger man as he steps through the ropes. Falcon arrow has Davis stunned. Chokebreaker! Gage takes the fight to the floor and the two brawl around the building. Gage powerbombs Davis through Danhausen’s merch table. Danhausen eyes Gage evily.
Wes: “Uh-oh.”
Gage goes for his pizza cutter and grinds it into Davis’ eye socket. Davis concedes rather than lose an eye. Gage returns to the ring.
Nick: “I’m just getting started! Who wants some!?”
Moments go by with no one answering the call. Gage is getting impatient to the point of hacking at the turnbuckle with the pizza cutter.
Joe: “I don’t know. I think that’s going to be it.”
Wes: “You said anyone can join this thing?”
Joe: “Yes, but…”
Wes gets up out of his chair and looks towards the ring.
Joe: “Oh, God. Wes, no!”
Wes: "Shooters will shoot.”
Barkley makes his way down to the ring. Some fans are amused while others are stupefied. As Wes approaches the ring, even Gage is perplexed. He calmly watches Wes get into the ring, the fire in his eyes the only thing betraying his true demeanor. Wes puts his fists up and Gage just looks at him. A few seconds pass, then Gage slowly brings the mic up to his face.
“Get out of my ring, bitch.”
Wes looks confused but resumes his stance. Gage drops the mic and pizza cutter and goes after him. Wes frantically avoids Nick’s blows and cuts him off with an eye rake. As Nick tries to clear his eyes, Barkley lifts him up and Hot Shots him on the top rope. The crowd is going crazy. Nick rolls out to the floor. Wes pursues and whips Gage into the post. Wes responds to the crowd support. A fan hands him a chair that he slams over Gage’s head. Then Wes’s expression indicates that he’s got a bright idea. He reaches between the ropes and retrieves Gage’s pizza cutter. Unfortunately, he wasted too much time. Gage wrenches the cutter away from Wes and cracks him in the head with the handle. Wes almost goes cross-eyed. Gage charges but Barkley matadors him and Gage goes into the post again. Wes pulls a table from under the ring and sets it up, placing Nick on it. Wes climbs on the apron and goes for a running senton but Gage moves and Wes crashes through the table. Nick drags Wes into the ring and goes for the pizza cutter. Wes fights back but Nick is undaunted and slams Barkley into the mat over and over. Gage goes out into the crowd and starts throwing chairs into the ring. After he has a nice pile, he powerbombs Wes onto them. Wes writhes as Nick starts throwing chairs on top of him. Gage looks to finish it and Piledrives Barkley. Wes is done. The crowd urges Nick on but he is seething. He rolls Wes out of the ring, grabs a handful of his long frizzy hair and drags him up the aisle and through the curtain.
Joe: “I don’t know what Gage has in mind but we’re out of time. Someone please help Wes! Gage is going to kill him!”
The mic cuts out as Joe leaves his seat. The stream ends.
