INTRO

The show opens with a highlight package from the last Cleveland show. Brent Albright debuted with a convincing win. Eddie Kingston and Necro Butcher had a war with the Samoan Island Tribe. Ricky Landell defeated Bryan Danielson by questionable means.

(Louden Noxious and Joe Dembrowski are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Drake Younger w/Trinity DeNucci vs. Mikey Whipwreck

JOE: "Whipwreck is making his PWIS debut against this...well, thug, Drake Younger."
LOUDEN: "And we have identified the woman we've recently seen with him. It's Trinity DeNucci and it's obvious
she's not afraid of a fight."
JOE: "Is that a Singapore Cane she's carrying?"
Whipwreck takes over immediately and has Younger on his heels. Trinity distracts the ref after Mikey comes off of the top turnbuckle with a cross body block. Drake tries to turns the match around when the fight leaves the ring. He puts Whipwreck through the timekeeper's table with a half nelson suplex. Whipwreck is no stranger to hard core though as he returns the favor and slams Drake into the ring post. Mikey continues on offense.  Younger tries coming back again but Mikey puts a stop to it with a Whipper-Snapper. As he goes for the cover Trinity jumps in the ring with Singapore Cane raised. Mikey is ready, though, and grabs the cane and uses it to fling Trinity out of the ring. He then uses another Whipper-Snapper to get the win.

Winner: Mikey Whipwreck

MATCH #2

Jigsaw vs. Brent Albright

Albright devastes Jigsaw with hard strikes and powerful suplexes. A running lariat blasts Jigsaw head over heels and leaves him prone for the three count.

Winner: Brent Albright

MATCH #3

Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ethan Page

This was a great back and forth match with strength of offense as the deciding factor. Claudio never got off any of his big moves while Page used his full arsenal and pinned Castagnoli after a Headshot Cutter.

Winner: Ethan Page

Intermission: At the end of intermission, Adam Pearce comes down to the ring and calls Ricky Landell to join him before his match. Landell eventually emerges from the back and cautiously enters the ring.
ADAM: "I'm glad you're willing to listen to what I have to tell you. I think I can say that, at least to yourself, you haven't lived up to your potential in this organization. (Landell appears annoyed) That's not a knock. You were trained and then turned loose in the business without any real direction. I think I can give you that guidance you've been lacking. I can't stand to see you waste your potential."
Landell stares at Pearce then turns and seems to be contemplating what he has said.
ADAM: "What do ya say kid?"
As Landell turns back to answer, we hear another voice come over the PA. Stepping through the curtain is Steve Corino.
STEVE: "Don't listen to him Ricky. (Landell turns around, surprise on his face) Guys like him only want to use young wrestlers for their own glory. You can't trust him."
ADAM: "And he can trust you? What have you done for him since you finished training him? You've moved on to bigger and better things leaving him behind to fend for himself."
STEVE: "I've helped him every chance I got. But everybody eventually has to stand on their own two feet."
As Pearce starts to reply, an angry Landell rips the mic from his hand.
RICKY: "Will both of you just shut the hell up?!  I'm not a child!  I haven't asked help from either of you, so why don't you both just leave?!"
Adam looks at Ricky as if to make sure that he really means it. "GO!" Ricky yells. Pearce moves to leave the ring and Corino nods and steps back through the curtain.

MATCH #4

2 Cold Scorpio vs. Ricky Landell

Scorpio owns Landell finishing him fast with a Scorpio Splash.
After the match Corino comes to the ring and tries to console Landell. Pearce stealthily comes down to the ring and attacks Corino from behind. He puts Corino in a figure four leglock. Steve screams in pain and calls to Landell to help him. Landell doesn't respond at first, allowing Pearce to crank on the hold. Finally, Landell unties Pearce's legs, freeing Corino from the hold. Pearce jumps up and prepares to defend himself but Landell just leaves the ring and heads to the back. Some officials escort Pearce from the ring while others help Corino.

Winner: 2 Cold Scorpio

MATCH #5

Rob Van Dam & The Naptown Dragons vs. Roderick Strong & The Samoan Island Tribe

The majority of this match took place between the Samoans and the Dragons. After Alofa hit Scotty Vortekz with a big clothesline, Scotty went to the floor where he proceeded to smash the Samoan in the head with a steel chair. After earning the disqualification Dustin Lee and RVD get on his case about it. The fans also boo the outcome

Winners: Roderick Strong & The Samoan Island Tribe

MAIN EVENT

Jushin Liger vs. Chris Hero w/Jonny Fairplay

Liger gets a couple of pin attempts right after the opening bell causing Hero to flee the ring. Liger continues the offense and Hero starts getting in his own shots. Hero gets some pin attempts after a series of brutal elbows to his opponent. Fairplay distracts the ref after a Liger Brainbuster puts Hero down. Liger removes Hero from the ring and performs a pair of phenomenal Liger Dives. Hero reaches for a chair to use as a weapon but Liger takes a hold of it and rams it into Hero's face. Back in the ring Hero gains control again and unleashes some more violent strikes followed by a pin attempt. Liger takes a few more shots and kicks out after another pin attempt. Hero turns up intensity and after another volley of elbows he lays Liger flat with a Rolling Elbow Smash. Afterward, Hero starts yelling 'Van Dam!' and continues elbow smashing the turnbuckle.

Winner: Chris Hero

AFTERMATH

Backstage

Steve Corino has tracked down Commissioner Charlie Cox. He wants Adam Pearce in the ring.
STEVE: "Charlie, you have to give me Pearce. You saw what he did out there. I just need one crack at him. I'm begging you."
CHARLIE: "Pearce's suspension would be over by the time we are in Cleveland again but I'm leaning towards giving him more time on the shelf."
STEVE: "Charlie, you need to do this. I don't want to have to go over your head." (Corino gives him a knowing look)
CHARLIE: "We'll see, Steve."
Cox walks off, obviously disturbed by Corino's last comment.

Parking Lot

Drake Younger approaches the Naptown Dragons as they are loading their gear into a car.
DRAKE: "You really rung that guy's bell tonight Scotty. How'd it feel?"
SCOTTY: "Kick-ass, dude. Just like always."
DUSTIN: "And it cost us the match."
SCOTTY: "Relax, dude. That match didn't mean anything."
DRAKE: "Yeah, Dustin. 'Relax'."
Drake exits, leaving a disgruntled Lee with his overzealous partner.

SCOTTY: "Relax, dude. That match didn't mean anything."
DRAKE: "Yeah, Dustin. 'Relax'."
Drake exits, leaving a disgruntled Lee with his overzealous partner.

First this ^ was my favorite segment to date and I'm loving the Drake Younger storylines in your fed and the overall action on this card was fun stuff...

VIDEO SEGMENT: Drake Younger, Eddie Kingston, and Trinity DeNucci loiter in an alley somewhere.
DRAKE: "That camera on? Okay, good. Heading to North Carolina this weekend and Charlie Cox is on the phone telling us we have a match booked. No pulling teeth and twisting arms the night of the show trying to get a spot. You still won't see our names on the marquee or the flyers, but it's clear Charlie wants us there. Now, the average person might think, 'It's a trap'. But you know, I'm not really afraid of anything he thinks he can throw our way. Eddie?"
EDDIE: "Not a chance."
DRAKE: "Trinity?"
TRINITY: "Whatever."
DRAKE: "So do your best, Charlie-boy. We'll be there. And we'll be ready."

PROMO: George South
"Hey there, folks. It's that time again. PWIS returns to the Mid-Atlantic Sportatorium this Sunday. George South is going to be there and I'll be starting my 'Putting Over the Next Generation Tour'. See some of the best young independent wrestlers today. And a couple of the veterans as well."

August 4th: Chris Hero has been named the number one contender for the PWIS Championship after last week's convincing win against Jushin Liger.  He will be facing champion Rob Van Dam in Berwyn, IL at PWIS-Excellence.

August 11th: PWIS Tag Team Champions, The Naptown Dragons will be making their next title defense at PWIS-PA. There was some question about who their next challengers might be but it will be The Heartbreak Express. HBX defeated the Dragons on the last PA show and a title shot has been awarded to them.

August 18th: Robert Anthony will be getting his chance to earn a PWIS title shot on the next Chicago show. His opponent has yet to be named but if Anthony wins he will receive a championship match.

August 25th: The winner of RVD/Hero will make the next defense of the PWIS Championship in OHIO against 2 Cold Scorpio.

INTRO

Last time on PWIS Mid-Atlantic: Drake Younger and Eddie Kingston force their way into PWIS through back channels and now Commissioner Charlie Cox has to start booking them. Cox puts Younger up against Erick Stevens who gives him a beating to Cox's delight. Timber "The Insane Lumberjack' beats Arik Royal with relative ease. Chuck Taylor and Eddie Fyne continue to antagonize Tracy Smothers; this time clogging a toilet with Smothers Confederate flag.

(Louden Noxious and Brad Stutts are calling the action)

MATCH #1

Savage-T vs. George South

T tries intimidating South by acting tough and bumping chests with him. South starts to give T a wrestling lesson but T manages to take over and gain momentum leading to a Vertibreaker for the win.

Winner: Savage-T

MATCH #2

Tracy Smothers vs. Brodie Lee

This match was all Smothers as he hit Lee with a variety of aerial moves. Brodie was dropped by a jumping wheel kick.

Winner: Tracy Smothers

MATCH #3

Timber vs. Erick Stevens

There is as lot of anticipation for the clash between these two bruisers. Timber takes the fight outside the ring right away. Stevens turns things around after back body dropping Timber on the entrance ramp. Stevens then unleashes his power moves but Timber survives two Doctor Bombs. Stevens loses his advantage and soon falls to Timber's Log Splitter.

Winner: Timber

Intermission: Drake Younger, Eddie Kingston, and Trinity DeNucci enter Commissioner Charlie Cox's office.
DRAKE: "What's going on here, Charlie? I thought you had us matches for tonight?"
EDDIE: "Yeah. What gives?"
CHARLIE: "The two of you are in the main event. So why don't you go and make sure you're ready."
DRAKE: "Main event...? What do you have up your sleeve, Charlie-boy?"
CHARLIE: "You'll know soon enough. After tonight, I suspect we'll be seeing a lot less of you hoodlums in PWIS."
DRAKE: "You think so, huh?"
CHARLIE: "Yes. I do."
TRINITY: "Ooo, I'm shakin'."
EDDIE: "You'll never get rid of us, b***h."
The trio leave with Cox smiling confidently as they do.

MATCH #4

Jigsaw vs. Chuck Taylor w/Eddie Fyne

Eddie Fyne comes down to the ring by himself with a microphone. He addresses the audience: "Well, as I warned everyone last time, Chucky T wasn't going to be making anymore appearances if we didn't see more money. (the crowd cheers) I know, I know. He's who you came to see tonight but PWIS management has let you down. But 'Elegant' Eddie Fyne hasn't. I've got the next best thing. Everyone give a big hand for Chucky T's cousin Chuck-Bob Taylor!"
A scruffy and unkempt Chuck Taylor comes out wearing overalls with one strap un-fastened and a piece of straw hanging from the corner of his mouth. "Hey, y'all. I'm Chuck-Bob and I like wrasslin' too. My cousin Chuck don't like me too much on account that I'm an inbred hillbilly from North Carolina. (the crowd is getting irate) Why you booin' me? I'm just poor white trash like you all."
Taylor can no longer keep a straight face and busts up laughing with Fyne. At this point Jigsaw makes his entrance.
Taylor and Jigsaw put on a good match with Chuck going over with Sole Food.

Winner: Chuck Taylor

After the match, Chuck Taylor and Eddie Fyne are walking down the hall backstage when Tracy Smothers comes around the corner. "Hey, boy! Come here!"
Smothers comes after them and Taylor takes off but Fyne slips and falls. Smother picks him up be the lapel of his gaudy jacket and pushes him against the wall. He gets right in Fynes face and proclaims, "When I get my hands on your boy, he's gonna wish he never crossed my path."
He releases Fyne who crumbles in heap on the floor looking like he may have to change his drawers.

MATCH #5

Arik Royal vs. Necro Butcher

Necro and Royal continue their Mid-Atlantic rivalry. Royal begins with a couple of strong moves. Then they exchange ring post shots. Royal gives Necro To The Last Drop twice followed by a Tombstone Piledriver for a near fall. After another To The Last Drop, Necro rolls out of the ring. The men commence to brawl at ringside ignoring the refs count. The ruling is a no-decision.

Winner: DRAW

MAIN EVENT

Drake Younger & Eddie Kingston w/Trinity DeNucci vs.

The Hardcore Revolutionaries swagger to the ring defiantly in the face of whatever Commissioner Cox has in store for them. They, along with the crowd, are allowed to simmer until the music of Metallica begins to loudly fill the Sportatorium. Bursting through the curtain is The Sandman with his trade mark Singapore Cane in one hand, a beer in the other, and he has a butt going. The crowd goes berserk while Younger and Kingston look unsure. Sandman makes his rounds through the crowd, pulling one beer can after another from his pockets and drenching himself and the occasional fan with suds. He gets in the ring and the others clear out. He climbs the corner and smashes the last beer can repeatedly into his forehead. He turns around and points his cane at the others. Younger, cocky, yells at Sandman: "What? Are you going to fight us yourself?"
Just then, as Sandman starts to smile, the lights go out. The crowd is abuzz for a few moments until the lights go back up and there is another huge pop. In the middle of the ring, pointing skyward is the suicidal, homicidal, genocidal Sabu! Sabu throws off his headdress, hits the ropes and dives from the ring onto Younger and they start to brawl. Sandman throws Kingston into the ring and the ref rings the bell. The two go toe-to-toe and there are a couple of pin attempts but neither man is going down that easy. They fight outside the ring and it becomes clear that the referee has been instructed to let it go on without count outs or disqualifications. Kingston belly-to-belly suplexes Sandman into the crowd knocking fans out of their chairs and causing others to scatter. Back in the ring Kingston has the upper hand on Sandman and levels him with a Lariat. Sabu jumps in the ring for the pin save and takes his partners place against Kingston. An Arabian facebuster does just that to Kingston as blood flows heavy from his brow. Sabu tries a pin after Air Sabu but a recovered Younger breaks it up. Sabu follows with a Triple Jump Moonsault but misses and Younger goes after him. The two go back and forth and end up on the floor with Younger giving Sabu a half nelson suplex into a cluster of vacated seats. As Sabu writhes on the ground, Trinity DeNucci comes out of the back and hands Drake a light tube that finds it's way to Sabu's already scarred back. Younger then begins putting chairs on Sabu's limbs and stomping them. Satisfied that his man is done for, Younger drags Sabu back into the ring. Sabu struggles and Younger goes to punch him but Sabu ducks and grabs him for a piledriver. With Younger prone, Sandman comes after him. Younger bounces back and has a light tube with Sandman's name on it, rendering the hardcore legend a bloody mess. Sandman manages to fling Younger into the ring post. As his partner collapses, Sabu takes over with a moonsault to the floor. Younger halfheartedly sends Sabu into the post but it has little effect. Sabu pulls the weakened Younger to the center of the ring and forces him submit to a Camel Clutch. As the victorious Sandman and Sabu head up the ramp, the scene they leave behind looks like a battle field. Most of the fans are all backed up against the back walls having abandoned their scrambled and broken seats and many have left to avoid the mercury dust in the air. Trinity tends to the agonized Younger while Kingston lies in a pool of blood at ringside.

Winners: The Sandman & Sabu

AFTERMATH

Commissioner Cox's office

Cox is almost giddy pacing back and forth in front of his desk. "Yes! That was just how I imagined it. Those two punks are through!"
A couple of nearby officials look at each other apprehensively as they watch the almost manic Commissioner continue his gleeful display.

Thanks, Crimson! That may be the most fun I've had rolling a match. Once in a while you get one of those matches that plays out perfectly and is a 5 star.


With Sandman and Sabu showing up, it goes without saying that things are only going to get wilder!

VIDEO SEGMENT: Chris Hero is in the gym accompanied by Jonny Fairplay. He is hitting a heavy bag with elbow smashes as Fairplay pumps him up saying that's what he's going to do to Rob Van Dam's face. After a few more strikes, Hero stops and turns toward the camera: "On August 4th, RVD, your PWIS title reign will come to an end. You're known as a master of the martial arts. Your kicks are lethal weapons. But I KO with my elbow. Just ask Jushin Liger. In Berwyn, Illinois, you'll find out too."

PROMO: Roderick Strong
"Jushin Liger. You may be the king in Japan but here in America, I'm the best. This week in Berwyn, you and everyone else will see your PWIS tour end with one in the loss column."

August 11th: Delirious will finally have his opportunity to confront his tormentor at PWIS-PA. What is Ultramantis Black's master plan and can Delirious conquer it?

August 18th: Robert Anthony will square off against Roderick Strong in Chicago with the winner receiving a future PWIS Championship title shot.

August 25th: It has been confirmed that Steve Corino's request for a match against Adam Pearce has been granted for our next OHIO show. Ricky Landell's teacher will battle his would-be mentor. But which side will Landell fall on?

September 1st: The Arik Royal/Necro Butcher rivalry has gone unresolved with their matches continually ending up a brawl at ringside. This problem will be answered in PWIS Mid-Atlantic when the two men will compete in a Lumberjack Match.
