Card #29: "Richards vs. Strong III": Fort Lauderdale, FL:
[PRESHOW] Roderick Strong says two years ago that Davey Richards scored the biggest upset fluke win in wrestling history when he beat Strong at Final Battle. Roddy says that tonight, he's going to take back the ROH World Championship and break Davey's back in the process.
[PRESHOW] We see Eddie Edwards outside the building. Edwards talks about the Final Battle match with Curt Hennig, saying it's a dream match for him but first he has to get past a man with a lot of momentum in Mike Bennett. Edwards brings up Bennett beating Jay Lethal and says it's impressive, but as Lethal as Jay is, he's not Die Hard and Bennett will find that out tonight.
1.) Bluegrass Brawl Rematch - UWFi Rules: Bryan Danielson beat Kiyoshi Tamura in 12:50 with Cattle Mutilation. [****]
2.) Michael Elgin beat Mike Mondo in 4:01 with the Elgin Bomb. [**1/2]
3.) Future Shock of Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole beat The All Night Express of Rhett Titus and Willie Mack in 14:30 when O'Reilly used a brainbuster on Mack. Titus attacked Mack after the match. [***3/4]
[RECAP] Mike Bennett defeated Jay Lethal at the last show, "Bluegrass Brawl", in convincing fashion to earn his Pure Wrestling Championship match tonight!
4.) ROH Pure Wrestling Championship: Eddie Edwards (ch) beat Mike Bennett with Maria and Brutal Bob in 12:19 with Die Hard. Bennett used two rope breaks, Edwards used one. [***]
5.) No Disqualification Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship: Laughter7 of Katsuyori Shibata and Kazushi Sakuraba (ch) beat Jay and Mark Briscoe in 12:33 when Shibata used the PK on Jay Briscoe. [****1/4]
[INTERMISSION] Nigel McGuinness is in his office and announces that with Laughter7 and Future Shock both being victorious tonight, that both teams will advance to Final Battle in a Tag Team Championship match. Nigel also announces that if Generico ties the Best of 3 Series a 1 a piece, the final match in the series with Steen will be a Last Man Standing match.
[INTERMISSION] Lou Thesz says that Tamura lost tonight, but the loss wasn't one to be ashamed of because Bryan Danielson proved himself to be a great wrestler, one that Thesz would be proud to have in his camp. Thesz says that Joe is not one of those men and tonight, Takada will defeat him and go on to become the ROH World Champion at Final Battle.

6.) Falls Count Anywhere in the State of Florida!: El Generico beat Kevin Steen in 22:31 when Generico used a Brainbuster on Steen after Jimmy Jacobs accidentally hit Steen with a Spear. After the match, Steen slapped Jacobs and shoved Corino before leaving alone. [***1/2]
[BACKSTAGE] Samoa Joe is taping his hands, preparing for the upcoming match with Nobuhiko Takada. Joe says that tonight, another UWFi legend falls in his own match. Joe says that nobody has been able to bring him to a full stop since coming to Ring of Honor, and that won't change tonight. Nobody can save Takada because Joe's going to kill him.
7.) UWFi Rules, Samoa Joe's ROH World Championship Match at Final Battle on the line: Samoa Joe beat Nobuhiko Takada in 19:47 with the Rear Naked Choke. [****1/4]
8.) ROH World Championship: Davey Richards (ch) beat Roderick Strong with Truth Martini in 47:20 with the Ankle Lock. [****]
[POST MATCH] Roderick Strong hits Richards with a high knee and Death By Roderick. Martini gets in the ring to pose with Strong, who lays him out with a Sick Kick. Roderick says he's done listening to everyone else, if he's going to get the belt back, he's gonna have to do it by himself.
[POST SHOW] Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly are with Veda Scott in the parking lot. O'Reilly says he's already been in the ring with Sakuraba and came as close as anyone has to defeating him and that Shibata may be the man winning the matches, he's not above defeat either. Cole says that he was Pure Champion for a year and he's going to add to his ROH Resume by being one half of the team that sends Laughter7 packing and becoming the new Tag Team Champions.
