Bryan Danielson enters his second year as champion as he takes on an old rival, The Kings look to tear down the House of Truth and Eddie Edwards looks for revenge on Delirious as ROH turns five!

Bryan Danielson has a very short list of rivals who have a long history of giving him considerable difficulty winning a match. One of those men is Austin Aries. The two have waged several wars with one another, including a 75 minute classic but now, the two will meet in Philadelphia for the ROH World Championship. Bryan Danielson has now passed one year as ROH World Champion and he's looking to make it to two. Can Aries pick up the ROH World Championship in his second singles match?

The Kings of Wrestling scored their fourth defense of the ROH World Tag Team Championship at Final Battle by defeating Generation Next members Rich Swann and Roderick Strong. As the Kings look to expand upon their dominance, they look to walk through Drew Gulak and Uhaa Nation in Philadelphia. Truth Martini has guaranteed the return of gold to the House of Truth this year, will his prophecy come true in Philly?

Delirious returned to Ring of Honor at Final Battle V, spraying red mist into the eyes of "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards after Edwards' victory over Tyler Black. Edwards has demanded ROH hunt Delirious down and deliver the message that the two will do battle in Philly!

Daniels gets his chance to prove he's better than Samoa Joe and two of Canada's top wrestlers in Philly plus the first names for our return to Edison and Boston!

At Final Battle V, Samoa Joe had the Pure Wrestling Championship won until Christopher Daniels snuck in and won the Pure Championship. This was just part of a long running feud between Joe and Daniels where Joe has demanded that Daniels show the proper respect while Daniels contests that he is superior to Joe and as such, shouldn't have to show him respect. The two will meet in Philly for the Pure Wrestling Championship, can Joe finally pummel some respect our of Daniels?

Michael Elgin has had a shaky run so far in Ring of Honor. He's had moments of greatness offset by long periods of disappointments in the ring. The same can be said for Kevin Steen. Both men had a rough year last year in the win-loss column, but both will tell you that this is the biggest year for them in Ring of Honor. Both men plan on becoming ROH World Champion and their road to that title begins at the Fifth Anniversary Show in Philadelphia!

The biggest four corner survival in ROH history signed and Age of the Fall meets Generation Next at the Fifth Anniversary Show!

Three of the top ranked wrestlers in ROH are AJ Styles, Davey Richards and Adam Cole. All three of them are former ROH Champions, in the case of Richards, the longest ROH World Champion to date. Styles and Cole both had long reigns as ROH Pure Champion with Cole at one point possessing the record for most title defenses. El Generico is a wrestler who can't seem to shake long feuds against groups of opponents but at Final Battle, ROH was rid of OI4K and Generico is now free to pursue the ROH World Championship. Richards is open about wanting to be the first two-time ROH World Champion and Styles and Cole are climbing their way to the summit. In Philly, these four will meet in a Four Corner Survival that could potentially earn the winner a ROH World Championship match!

The Age of the Fall were shut out in both of their matches at Final Battle V, but that hasn't deterred them from wanting to make the Ring of Honor staff's lives a living hell. In Philadelphia, Tyler Black leads Necro Butcher and Jimmy Jacobs into a huge six man tag match against Generation Next members Roderick Strong, AR Fox and Rich Swann.

reDRagon set to take on the Briscoes and #AllEgo takes on a world traveled superstar in Philly plus the first matches for our return to Edison announced!

reDRagon of Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish are, on paper, one of the most formidable teams in all of professional wrestling. Both have extensive knowledge of several different martial arts, with O'Reilly specializing in grappling and Fish specializing in striking. The Briscoes are arguably the most formidable team in professional wrestling, boasting a record in ROH that is second to none, including the longest ROH World Tag Team Championship reign and being tied for most defenses of those titles. These two teams will meet in Philadelphia and with how stacked the tag team division is, the winning team might not be waiting long for a title shot!

#AllEgo Ethan Page made his ROH debut at Manhattan Mayhem by easily defeating Rhett Titus and followed up on that by easily defeating QT Marshall at Final Battle V. He'll face his biggest test to date in Philadelphia as he takes on a man once dubbed "The Future": Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian has said this will be the year where he leaves his mark on Ring of Honor and he wants to start it off with a victory over the unbeaten Page.

ROHWrestling.com can now confirm the first two matches for our return to Edison, New Jersey for a huge show that is appropriately named "Supercard of Honor II". The first match we can confirm is "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin taking on the returning Homicide! Homicide vanished from ROH competition during the war with OI4K last year but looks to put away Elgin in his return match. Elgin has told ROH officials that he wants only the best competition and "The Notorious 187" certainly fits that billing. Elgin also demanded to be the #1 seed in this year's Survival of the Fittest tournament, which ROH officials gladly agreed to. The other eleven participants will be announced closer to that show.

Kevin Steen and El Generico, despite both man's individual pursuit of the ROH World Championship, are also aiming for the ROH World Tag Team Championship, as are Jay and Mark Briscoe. These two teams have a storied history with one another and that rivalry will continue at Supercard of Honor II!

[PRESHOW] Austin Aries is in the locker room with the rest of Generation Next. Aries says that tonight, on ROH's fifth birthday, he starts the year off with a Ring of Honor World Championship victory. Aries calls Danielson the best champion ROH has ever seen, saying that Danielson has fought a murderers row of challengers but tonight, it all comes to an end.
[PRESHOW] Michael Elgin is shown arriving at the building. Elgin says it's the beginning of a new year and that he's turning over a new leaf. Elgin promises to get on the winning path and says that he's been the runner up for far too long, this is his year.

[INTERMISSION] Dragon Gate's Open the Dream Gate Champion, Johnny Gargano, sent in a video congratulating Bryan Danielson on making it one full year as ROH World Champion. Gargano says that he'll be back from Japan around Death Before Dishonor VI in Toronto and that he wants anyone in ROH to step up and challenge him for his title again.
[INTERMISSION] Tyler Black and the Age of the Fall are in the parking lot. Black says that so far, they've failed to accomplish their mission. Matt Tremont hasn't been seen in months and they can't seem to pick up a victory. Black says that ROH will decay from the inside out and that they are the cancer. Black says that Generation Next will pay a price for what they did here tonight.
[INTERMISSION] Nigel McGuinness joins us from his office. Nigel says that the next show is appropriately titled "Supercard of Honor II", because it's going to be one of the biggest shows of the year. Nigel mentions the previously announced Elgin vs. Homicide and Steen and Generico vs. Briscoes matches and adds two huge matches to the card: Bryan Danielson or Austin Aries, whoever wins tonight, will defend the ROH World Championship against the first ROH World Champion Roderick Strong! The second match Nigel adds is for the ROH World Tag Team Championship as either the Kings of Wrestling or the House of Truth will defend the titles against Bad Influence of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian!

ROH matchmaker Nigel McGuinness explains to them that if they attempt to bring in Callihan or Moxley with them, they'll both be terminated immediately and announces a five match "Trials Series" for them, to prove that they're worthy of being allowed back into ROH.

Danielson takes on Roderick Strong in a rematch four years in the making, the Kings square off with Bad Influence and the Irish Airborne attempt to prove they belong in ROH plus four more participants announced for Survival of the Fittest!

Bryan Danielson debuted at the original Glory By Honor, losing to Roderick Strong in what would be Strong's final defense of the ROH World Championship. Fast forward four years later, Danielson is ROH World Champion and in the midst of a huge run with the Championship with eleven successful defenses to date. At Supercard of Honor II, Strong looks to not only put an end to Danielson's reign as champion, but to begin a second reign with the ROH World Championship!

The Kings of Wrestling are fast approaching one year as the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions. After disposing of the House of Truth at the Fifth Anniversary Show, the Kings learned that their next challengers would come in the form of ROH Pure Wrestling Champion Christopher Daniels and his tag team partner, Frankie Kazarian! Will the Kings be able to stop Bad Influence in Edison?

As we learned at the end of our last DVD, Jake and Dave Crist have signed official Ring of Honor contracts with the stipulation being that they must complete a five match trials series against the top teams in Ring of Honor. In Edison, the Airborne will take on the inaugural ROH World Tag Team Champions The American Wolves!

After Supercard of Honor II, ROH heads to Boston for the sixth Survival of the Fittest and we can now confirm four extra entrants! We previously learned that Michael Elgin is the #1 seed in the tournament and now we know he will be joined by Samoa Joe, Davey Richards, Austin Aries and AJ Styles! Styles already has a guaranteed future ROH World Championship match. Can he earn a second at Survival of the Fittest?
