ROH Video Wire: The Week of Survival of the Fittest:
Gary Michael Cappetta welcomes everyone to a new installment of the Video Wire as we look ahead to this weekend's historic Survival of the Fittest show, where twelve of the top professional wrestlers in the world will compete to crown the first Ring of Honor Champion. He's joined by ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness, who runs down the matches announced at the end of the video wire last week before we send it over to Rhino.
Rhino: "Survival of the Fittest, Eddie Edwards...DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE IT PAST ME? DO YOU THINK YOU STAND A SINGLE GODDAMN CHANCE AGAINST ME? I'VE BROKEN EVERY F--KING PERSON I HAVE EVER STEPPED INTO THE RING WITH AND YOU WILL BE NO DIFFERENT! I've been paid a lot of good money to see to it that you do not make it to the finals, and that's EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN! I'M GONNA LEAVE YOU IN A POOL OF YOUR OWN PISS, SHIT AND BLOOD AND YOU WILL REGRET THE DAY YOU WERE BORN WHEN I CUT YOU IN HALF WITH A GORE! GORE! GORE!"
Nigel McGuinness: "Well, from one extreme to the other, I suppose. Rhino is obviously very focused on this tournament for one reason or another, but let's go to Jay Lethal."
Jay Lethal: "This weekend is, to be quite honest with you, the biggest weekend of my life. Not just because I'm coming back to ROH for the second ever show, oh no...this weekend I have the chance, the opportunity for the first time in my career to be a World Champion. That journey starts with you, Kyle O'Reilly. Now, you're a hell of a wrestler. You're a hell of an athlete...but you will fall to the Lethal Injection and to everyone who advances in the finals, boys it's nothing personal. Jay Lethal is coming for that ROH World Championship."
We see Kyle O'Reilly practicing kickboxing with Tony Kozina. O'Reilly notices the camera and walks over to it.
Kyle O'Reilly: "So Jay Lethal...you say that this weekend you're going to go past me to win Survival of the Fittest. Well first off, Jay...you're not. You see, I'm better than you. While you're out partying, and making an absolute ass of yourself impersonating legends, I'm here training. I'm here fighting. I'm here trying to be the best that I can possibly be. So prepare for a fight, Jay. Prepare for a war, in fact. This weekend, I'm gonna beat you. This weekend, I'm gonna show the whole world why I am the best."
We see Davey Richards sitting outside. He looks up to the sky, where we see a full moon. The camera goes back to Davey, who smiles and walks away. As he steps off camera, a wolf can be heard howling as we see a picture of the ROH World Title and the video wire comes to a close.

Card #2: "Survival of the Fittest"; Manhattan, NY:
[PRESHOW] Truth Martini, Prophet? Truth Martini: "Survival. Of the. Fittest. An appropriate name as twelve men will vie for the ROH World Championship, but only one can be successful in achieving that goal. Tonight, that man will be Roderick Strong. Tonight, Roderick Strong will show you, the people of TV Land, exactly what it means when he says only the Strong survive......hahahahahahahahahaha!"
1.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Davey Richards beat Mike Bennett with Maria and Brutal Bob in 8:17 with an Ankle Lock. [**]
2.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Rhino beat Eddie Edwards in 17:18 with a Gore. [***1/4]
3.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Kevin Steen beat Homicide in 14:30 with the Package Piledriver. [***1/2]
4.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Jay Lethal beat Kyle O'Reilly in 16:14 with the Lethal Injection, [***]
5.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Michael Elgin with Truth Martini beat Adam Cole in 2:07 with a Rolling Deadlift German Suplex. [*1/2]
[BACKSTAGE] Relationship Troubles A cameraman is walking backstage when all of a sudden you can hear Maria and Mike Bennett around the corner. Maria: "What the hell was that? You expect to keep me around when you keep losing?" Bennett: "Babe, listen I'm so.." Maria: "Sorry?! SORRY?! You think that's going to make up for anything? Look, you keep losing, you lose this. Got it?"
Maria walks away, visibly angry as Bennett has a look of concern on his face.
6.) Survival of the Fittest Qualifier: Roderick Strong with Truth Martini beat El Generico at 24:15 with a Sick Kick after Kevin Steen hit El Generico with a chair. [****1/4]
[INTERMISSION] A revelation Rhino is shown walking through the backstage area when Truth Martini approaches him. Rhino: "Hey, you got my money?" Truth: "It's all here. Listen, you get it after the finals. Remember, Roderick Strong wins this match and Davey Richards gets taken out or the deal is off, do you understand?" Rhino: "Yeah, I got you."
7.) ROH Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal: The Bruderschaft of Tim Donst and Tursas beat Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team of Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin in 14:30 when Donst used the SDT on Haas. [***]
8.) Survival of the Fittest Final for the ROH World Championship: Roderick Strong beat Davey Richards, Michael Elgin, Rhino, Kevin Steen and Jay Lethal, last eliminating Richards at 44:43 with the Sick Kick after hitting him with the Book of Truth. [****1/2] - The order of elimination was: - Elgin via accidental SICK KICK from Strong at 7:15. - Steen via countout when he started brawling with Generico at 15:02. - Lethal via GORE from Rhino at 22:19. - Rhino via Ankle Lock from Richards at 36:57. - Richards via SICK KICK from Strong after a shot from the Book of Truth at 44:43.
[POST SHOW] Nigel makes an announcement Nigel McGuinness is shown in his office. Nigel: "Hello, I hope you enjoyed Survival of the Fittest as much as I enjoyed bringin' it to you but we're not here to talk about that. In fact, we're here to talk about a big weekend ROH has coming up called Revolution. One night in the USA, one night in Canada. Big matches are already lining up, and I'm here to announce that I have secured the first two defenses of the Ring of Honor World Championship. First, at Revolution: USA, Roderick Strong will defend the ROH World Championship against Homicide. Now the winner of that match, whoever it may be, will defend the title in Canada the very next night against Canada's own Kyle O'Reilly!
That's not all, though. Also at Revolution USA, the final first round match in the Tag Title Tournament will take place as the American Wolves meet two men I know they want to get their hands on as they face the House of Truth of Rhino and Michael Elgin. Also, by the request of El Generico...he WILL get a match with Kevin Steen at Revolution: USA and it will be a Detroit Street Fight! Stay tuned to future Video Wires and Newswires as we announce more matches for this huge weekend!"
[POST SHOW] The Hunt = Over? Davey Richards is shown sitting in the locker room. He's staring at the floor with a look of complete disappointment on his face. Davey Richards: "For years, this is all I've done. Davey Richards is a wrestler, I've always said I let my wrestling do the talking, that I was a wrestler. It was supposed to culminate tonight with me becoming Ring of Honor Champion. This is where the best reside, the athletes, the true professionals....and then there's you, Roddy. I shoulda known you were gonna pull some chickenshit bullcrap like this. You couldn't beat me, and you knew it...so what? Truth hired Rhino? Big deal, I eliminated him. Michael Elgin? I didn't even have to take him out, you did a pretty good job of that for me. Then there was the ace in the hole, you hit me with that damn Book of Truth and well...the rest is history, right?
So congratulations, Roddy. You're the champ. Just remember this: Every time you turn around. Every time you close your eyes...I'll be there. In your dreams, your nightmares, in the face of every opponent you get in the ring with. I will get my redemption. The hunt? It's far from over. It's just beginning, Roddy. Your ass is mine. I don't know where, I don't know when, I don't know how. You're in my sights more than ever before, Roddy...and I'm coming for your head."

Card #3: "Revolution: USA"; Dearborn, MI:
[DVD Extra] Revolution... Kyle O'Reilly is shown outside the venue in Dearborn where tonight, he will team with Tommaso Ciampa to face Adam Cole and Jay Lethal. Kyle O'Reilly: "Here we are, Revolution weekend. ROH travels to Canada for the first time, to my home country for the first time. And how fitting is it that I am in the main event challenging for the Ring of Honor World Championship. This whole weekend is about ROH proving why we're the best wrestling promotion in the world bar none, and by the end of this weekend I'm gonna show everyone why I am the best wrestler in the world."
1.) Tursas beat Mark Briscoe in 7:45 with a Diving Body Press. [**] - Mark Briscoe put forth a valiant effort but in the end, Tursas used brute force to topple one of Dem Boys. He attempted to continue his attack after the match, but Jay Briscoe made the save, leading to...
2.) Jay Briscoe beat Tim Donst in 11:41 with a Jay Driller. [**1/4] - A pretty good contest that saw Donst in command for most of the match until Jay hit a dive to the outside and went on a big tear. Tursas attempted to interfere but Mark Briscoe intercepted him and the two began brawling to the back again.
[BACKSTAGE] Your Last Chance Much like at Survival of the Fittest, an argument between Maria and Mike Bennett can be heard as a camera races around the corner. Mike Bennett: "Babe, listen.." Maria: "No, YOU listen. You have two matches this weekend. Two. If you can't win ONE of them, we're through and I'll find someone who can actually take care of business."
Maria stormed away as Bennett yelled "Will you at least be in my corner tonight?!"
3.) Delirious beat Mike Bennett with Maria and Brutal Bob in 12:09 with a Bizarro Driver. [***] - More of a comedy match than anything as Delirious spent a lot of his time chasing around Maria and Brutal Bob. Bennett got in a lot of offense but eventually made the mistake of going to the top rope and it cost him dearly. Delirious chased Maria to the back after the match.
4.) C&C Wrestling Factory of Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander beat S.C.U.M. of Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino via disqualification when Jacobs stabbed Coleman with the railroad spike at 4:56. [*1/4] - Not much to say, they were going good until the finish which was out of nowhere. Coleman was helped to the back, holding his eye as it was gushing blood.
5.) Adam Cole and Jay Lethal beat Kyle O'Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa in 17:59 when Lethal used Lethal Injection on O'Reilly. [***] - Very good match but not the best showing for someone who is supposed to challenge for the World Championship tomorrow night. Cole and O'Reilly beat the snot out of each other and Lethal and Ciampa were matched up for a lot of this. The ending stretch was really exciting and looked like it was going either way until Lethal hit Lethal Injection to win the match.
[INTERMISSION] The First Defense... Roderick Strong is shown getting prepared in his locker room.
Roderick Strong: "First off, I don't recall allowing you to come in here, but since you're here hell...sit down and talk with the champ. You see, I don't quite like my quality of competition here in ROH. I mean, we've got the best wrestlers in the world but the problem is, I beat them all! I'm the best and I'm going to prove it because I have sent out open contracts to every promotion in the world. Send me your best guys, just don't send anyone you want back.
Tonight, I make the first defense of MY Ring of Honor World Championship, and I've got Homicide. Cide, we go back a long time. A real long time. Hell, at one time you were my friend...but not now. The Book of Truth says that tonight you will fall to a Sick Kick, or you will tap out to the Strong Hold...and that's exactly what's going to happen. Then there's Kyle O'Reilly. Kyle, I like you. You got away from being Davey's man bitch and you're looking to strike out on your own. Except for one thing---you haven't won a match here in ROH. And you won't start by taking my title tomorrow night and that's the Truth."
[INTERMISSION] Unity A video plays, showcasing several members of the Chikara roster such as Mike Quackenbush, Jigsaw, Claudio Castagnoli and the Colony. The video ends by saying Chikara and ROH will present Unity in Chicago with every match being ROH vs. Chikara!
6.) Detroit Street Fight: Kevin Steen beat El Generico in 12:00 with F-Cinq. [***1/2] - Very brutal match that went all over the building and saw plenty of interference from S.C.U.M. as Jacobs hit Generico with a Spear to set up the finish. C&C came out to brawl with Corino and Jacobs and this turned into a pretty good preview of how tomorrow night is probably going to be.
[BACKSTAGE] Code of Honor? After his loss to Jay Briscoe, Tim Donst is visibly frustrated in the backstage area. Tim Donst: "So let me get this straight...even if you lose around here you're expected to shake hands? Really? What kind of bullcrap is that? Look, I, nor any member of BDK are gonna abide by this stupid Code of Honor you guys made up. You want handshakes and friendship, then you morons fight right in with the Tecnicos in Chikara. So whatever team meets us in Chicago in the finals...good luck. There's no handshakes waiting for you...just a whole lot of pain and suffering courtesy of the BDK."
7.) ROH Tag Team Championship Tournament First Round Match: The American Wolves of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards beat The House of Truth of Michael Elgin and Rhino with Truth Martini in 9:58 when Rhino submitted to the Ankle Lock. [**1/2] - Very short, very stiff match. Probably won't win Match of the Year but this was one of the more entertaining matches on the card. Elgin beat the Wolves down and tagged in Rhino, which oddly enough served as the momentum changer for the Wolves as Eddie took the fight to Rhino before tagging in Davey, who finished the match off with the Ankle Lock.
8.) ROH World Championship: Roderick Strong with Truth Martini (ch) beat Homicide in 25:18 with the Sick Kick. [****] - Easily the best match of the night. Homicide looked to have it won on a number of occasions but thanks to Truth Martini's constant interference, the count never really got close to three. Near the end, Homicide hit Truth with a lariat, which you would think gave Homicide a fair shot at winning. Actually, this is what gave Roderick the chance to recover and hit the Sick Kick to rack up his first defense of the title.
After the match, Kyle O'Reilly hit Roderick Strong with a head kick from behind, and then followed up with hitting Strong with the ROH World Championship belt. O'Reilly held the belt up.
[DVD Extra] The Best in the World. Cary Silkin and a man who has his back to the camera are shown looking over what appears to be a contract. Silkin tells the man to sign his name and he will have a future ROH World Championship match. The man signs, and turns to shake Cary's hand. We then see that the man who just signed the contract is Bryan Danielson. Danielson smirks as the DVD fades to black.

Card #4: "Revolution: Canada"; Toronto, ONT:
[PRESHOW] Recap A video opens the DVD recapping the main event of Revolution: USA, as well as the Detroit Street Fight.
1.) Claudio Castagnoli beat Charlie Haas in 5:16 with a Ricola Bomb. [**] - The leader of the BDK made quick work of Charlie Haas here, who was without Shelton Benjamin in his corner for this match. Claudio controlled the entire match, Haas got in no offense. 2.) The Bruderschaft of Tim Donst and Tursas beat Rhett Titus and Willie Mack in 5:30 when Donst used the SDT on Titus. [**] - One half of the finals of the Tag Title tournament picked apart ANX here. Well, one half of them did. Tursas destroyed ANX until Donst tagged in and got the win with SDT.
3.) Mike Bennett with Maria and Brutal Bob beat Jay Lethal in 12:44 with the Photo Finish. [***] - Bennett had a lot on the line here, and by that I mean Maria. Lethal put up a fight but Bennett took control after slamming Lethal on the floor and whipping him into the barricade. From that point on, Bennett had the match pretty much sealed up. Bennett and Maria locked lips after the match and Bennett celebrated like he had just won the title.
4.) Toronto Street Fight: El Generico and C&C Wrestling Factory of Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander beat S.C.U.M. of Kevin Steen, Jimmy Jacobs and Steve Corino in 19:50 when Generico used a BRAINBUSTAAAHHH! on Corino. [****1/2] - Much like the Detroit Street Fight last night, this was completely wild and went all over the building and is a serious contender for Match of the Year. Generico battled Steen all over the building until Corino and Jacobs fought away from C&C to relieve Steen of the duties of fighting Generico. Steen fled to the back, which left S.C.U.M. to feel the wrath of Generico and C&C. Generico destroyed Corino with a turnbuckle brainbuster and picked up the victory.
[INTERMISSION] A Major Announcement Nigel McGuinness is shown talking on his cell phone. The call ends seconds after we cut to him, and he appears to be excited. Nigel McGuinness: "Hey everyone, during intermission here I just got a call that finalized the main event for our debut in Chicago and it is a massive match! Obviously for those for you in the know, the show is called ROH vs. Chikara, with every match on the show fitting that mold. Our main event is a blockbuster as the World Champion be it Kyle O'Reilly or Roderick Strong will take on EDDIE KINGSTON! I also just finalized another major match in which Jigsaw will take on Adam Cole! Now that I've taken enough of your time talking about those two announcements I believe...yes, unfortunately Roderick Strong has some comments."
[INTERMISSION] The Best in the World Roderick Strong is getting prepared for his match when Truth Martini informs him that Bryan Danielson has signed one of his open contracts. Truth is freaking out as Roderick turns to the camera. Roderick Strong: "Bryan Danielson? Really, that's the best we can do? Bryan, you need to go back to being a comedy character on Monday nights. You don't want any of what this company has to offer. You might have been the best a long time ago, but that was then and this is now. You want a match? Name the time and the place, Dragon..."
5.) Survival of the Fittest Rematch: Michael Elgin with Truth Martini beat Adam Cole in 22:15 with a Spinning Sit Out Powerbomb. [****] - A fantastic, back and forth outing from both men as Cole certainly came closer to winning the match here than he did at Survival of the Fittest. Cole was attacked after a handshake from Elgin but quickly fought back and gained control over his much larger opponent. Elgin's fortunes turned around when Truth threw in the Book of Truth and Elgin blasted Cole with it. Cole would kick out but from there on out it was pretty much over as Elgin hit the Elgin Bomb to score a major victory.
6.) ROH Tag Team Championship Tournament Semifinal: The American Wolves of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards beat Jay and Mark Briscoe in 16:35 when Edwards used Die Hard on Mark Briscoe. [***] - A very good match, but not quite on the level of the previous match. The Briscoes controlled a lot of this with double team moves but were unable to hit any of their finishing moves on Edwards or Richards. The Wolves took over initially when the fight went to the outside, and after a couple of Ankle Lock attempts on Jay, the Briscoes regained control. Edwards was hit with a Doomsday Device, but Richards broke up the pin and laid out Jay on the outside. Edwards regained his composure and hit Die Hard on Mark to win the match.
After the match, the BDK attacked the Wolves. The Briscoes recovered and helped run them off. Jay Briscoe got a microphone and said there's no hard feelings about the loss, and told the Wolves to "Whoop those boy's ass in Chicago." The teams shook hands and left together.
7.) ROH World Championship: Roderick Strong with Truth Martini beat Kyle O'Reilly in 35:17 with a Sick Kick. [***3/4] - O'Reilly had the World Championship won on a couple of occasions in this match, but just like in the previous night's match with Homicide, Truth's interference would make all the difference. Roderick slapped O'Reilly in the face instead of shaking his hand and the match went from a technical bout on-paper to an all out war. O'Reilly refused to submit to the Strong Hold, accumulating 5 Fatigue Tokens (Roderick accumulated 6) before finally falling to the Sick Kick.
"The Final Countdown" by Europe hit and after the match, Bryan Danielson made his way to the ring. He mentions Roderick allowing him to name the time and the place for their match. Danielson says he wants the match at ROH's return to Philadelphia for Glory By Honor. The two stare each other down as the DVD fades to black.

- Speaking of Davey Richards, he is not letting up from his pursuit of Roderick Strong and the ROH World Championship. Richards says that it's an honor to compete for the Tag Team Championship, but he wants to cement himself as one of the all time greats by becoming a World Champion. - A huge six man match has been signed for Dayton as Rhino, Tommaso Ciampa, Steve Corino, The Briscoes and Mike Mondo will do battle. Five of the men have made their intentions clear: They want a shot at the Ring of Honor champion, whereas Rhino is in the match to make sure that nobody can get to Roderick Strong, or the title. Who will leave Dayton with the victory?
- ROH Matchmaker Nigel McGuinness has announced that a Ring of Honor Pure Wrestling Championship would be decided in Richmond at All Star Extravaganza. The rules of the championship will be explained closer to that date, but Nigel promises that it will be a totally unique set of rules for Championship matches.

ROH Video Wire - The Week of Unity/Respect is Earned Double Shot:
We see the attack by the BDK on the American Wolves after the Wolves/Briscoes match at Revolution: Canada. We then see Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards in the locker room.
Davey Richards: "So this is it, huh? It's us against Chikara at this huge show in Chicago and we've got the BDK. Tim Donst, you're a hell of a wrestler...but you say you don't respect the Code of Honor? Boy, I'm going to MAKE you respect the Code of Honor. I'm gonna beat the hell out of you, Tim. And then...heh...then there's your tag partner. I don't know if you're the love child of the Berzerker and Mantaur or what, but if you get in my way, I'm gonna cut you down."
Eddie Edwards: "See for us, this match is personal. You attacked us. You left me bleeding in the ring after you threw me into the ring post. This isn't about the Tag Titles, you guys are going to find out what Die Hard is all about."
Davey Richards: "So bring your viking, your baseball player, your colony full of piss ants, bring every frickin' Saturday morning cartoon character you've got. It ain't gonna be enough. The Hunt's On."
A highlight reel of Eddie Kingston's Backfist to the Future is shown before we see Eddie Kingston standing in front of the trademark Chikara background.
Eddie Kingston: "Roderick Strong. Now that's a name that doesn't get brought up too much around these parts, here in Chikara. Roderick, you're the World Champion in Ring of Honor. Congratulations, it's a tough promotion to stay on top of. A lot of good guys there. But now, ROH is going head-to-head with Chikara. My home promotion, and I got a shot at your World Championship.
Roddy, I don't think you understand the situation your in here. You can talk about Homicide, Kyle O'Reilly, Davey Richards...I ain't them. I'm gonna beat you within an inch of your life. I'm gonna hit you as hard as you've ever been hit before, I'm gonna suplex you harder than you've ever been suplexed before. I need to be World Champion, doesn't matter what promotion it's for. I'm gonna take that World Championship because I need it, Roderick. I need it to prove to everyone who said that I could never make it, that in fact I did. I need it to prove to myself that this journey I'm on was for somethin'. Enjoy this week, it's gonna be your last. Ladies and gentlemen, I am Eddie Kingston. The Last of a Dying Breed, the King of Diamonds, God's Middle Child and your NEXT Ring of Honor World Champion."
Truth Martini and Michael Elgin are shown backstage at the venue in Dearborn. Truth Martini: "Davey Richards, did I hear this right? You've issued a challenge to the entire House of Truth, saying that you will eliminate them en route to challenging for the Ring of Honor World Championship? You mean to tell me that you expect to defeat Rhino and this man, much less the man who pinned you in New York to become the Champion?
Maybe those Sick Kicks are finally catching up to you, Davey. The House of Truth is the most cohesive unit in all of professional wrestling. This man won't let you near the Ring of Honor World Championship, neither will my hired mercenary Rhino. In Dayton, you're going to find out that when they said God created all men equal..."
Michael Elgin: "THEY WERE WRONG!"
To end the video wire, we see a clip of Bryan Danielson announcing that he will challenge for the ROH World Championship at Card #9 when Ring of Honor returns to Philadelphia!

Card #5: "Unity: ROH vs. Chikara"; Chicago, IL:
1.) Kyle O'Reilly beat Archibald Peck in 5:33 with a Guillotine Choke. [*1/2] [ROH 1-0] - O'Reilly had yet to win a match in Ring of Honor, and he was determined to not let Ring of Honor down by losing the first match on the show. Surprisingly, Peck actually was on the offensive for most of the match before a failed attack from the top rope gave O'Reilly the opening he needed to choke Peck unconscious. After the match was over, O'Reilly said he would win the four corner survival tomorrow night and get another shot at the ROH World Championship and become the champion.
[ANNOUNCEMENT] Nigel McGuinness interrupts the show from his office with a major announcement. ROH officials have considered Davey Richards' request for a series of matches with the House of Truth. Nigel announces that if Davey Richards can defeat both Michael Elgin AND Rhino in singles competition in the coming shows, he will receive a Ring of Honor World Championship match at Final Battle, regardless of who the champion is!
2.) Jay Lethal, Rhett Titus and Willie Mack beat The Colony of Fire Ant, Soldier Ant and Green Ant in 10:19 when Mack used a Chocolate Thunder Bomb on Fire Ant. [**1/2] [ROH 2-0] - Not quite as good as you would expect, but the Colony had a strong showing and nearly beat ANX. Lethal ended up being the game changer as he prevented a dive by Soldier Ant and regained control for Team ROH. The teams shook hands after the match.
3.) Michael Elgin with Truth Martini beat Claudio Castagnoli in 15:00 with the Elgin Bomb. [***1/2] [ROH 3-0] - As you might expect, this was a brutal, stiff match between two of the most powerful men in all of professional wrestling. These two attempted to one up each other with every exchange, and by the end both men were pretty much spent. Claudio attempted a diving European uppercut, but Elgin evaded it and hit the Elgin Bomb to give ROH its third straight victory.
4.) The Throwbacks of Dasher Hatfield and Sugar Dunkerton beat Jay and Mark Briscoe in 9:40 with the Grand Slam Dunk to Mark Briscoe. [**] [ROH 3-1] - Chikara gains their first victory in one of the most entertaining bouts of the night. The Throwbacks gave the fans what they expected, even playing their respective sports mid match until the Briscoes decided they'd had enough. Dem Boys wouldn't keep the upper hand once they got it, as the Throwbacks would put them away with the Grand Slam Dunk.
5.) Jigsaw beat Adam Cole in 18:22 with a superkick. [***3/4] [ROH 3-2] - These two put on a pure wrestling showcase and the fans were into it from beginning to end. Cole and Jigsaw actually traded superkicks late in the match, and Jigsaw just happened to hit Cole right on the button to gain the victory. During the match, Cole had kicked out of two Jig N Tonics, and Jigsaw kicked out of the Florida Key. The two showed respect before and after the match.
[ANNOUNCEMENT] Nigel McGuinness says he hopes the fans are enjoying the show so far, because he has another major announcement. He informs us that Final Battle will take place at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, but also that he has secured one of the top stars in all of wrestling to appear at the show! Nigel announces that in some capacity that night, that Sami Callihan of CZW will be in action!
6.) Ultramantis Black beat Kevin Steen in 13:06 with Cosmic Disaster. [***1/4] [TIE 3-3] - This was a wild match, there's no bones about it. Steen attempted to prove that he was the most devious man in all of wrestling, clawing at the mask and even biting Ultramantis. Ultramantis would fight fire with fire, clawing at the face of Steen and although he didn't bite him, Mantis did make use of the ring steps and guard rails at ringside. UMB hit the Cosmic Disaster to tie everything up for Chikara.
7.) El Generico vs. Mike Quackenbush never got started as Kevin Steen attacked both men before the bell could ring. [NR] [TIE 3-3] - Not much to say, Steen destroyed everyone and delivered a huge "F--K CHIKARA AND F--K RING OF HONOR" rant before leaving.
8.) ROH World Tag Team Championship Tournament Finals: The American Wolves of Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards beat The Bruderschaft of Tim Donst and Tursas in 22:17 when Edwards used an Achilles lock on Donst to become the first champions. [****] [ROH 4-3] - A total and complete war is what we had here. The Wolves isolated Tursas, picking the big man apart with quick kicks and fast transitions between partners. This wore Tursas out considerably and left a fresh Tim Donst essentially alone to face the American Wolves. Davey, as you can imagine, kicked the crap out of Donst before Edwards submitted him. After the match, BDK attacked the Wolves again but the Briscoes made the save, just as they did in Canada.
9.) ROH World Championship: Roderick Strong with Truth Martini (ch) beat Eddie Kingston in 17:30 with the Sick Kick. [****] [ROH 5-3] - Another total war for one of ROH's championships. Roderick rode out the onslaught of Kingston until Truth threw in the book. However, Kingston took the book and blasted Truth with it. Roderick would roll Kingston up and lock in a Strong Hold. Kingston would reach the rope, but Roderick would pull him back into the middle of the ring. Finally, King pushed Roddy off but ended up eating a Sick Kick to give ROH a 5-3 win over Chikara.
[POST SHOW] Roadblock Backstage, we see Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Davey says he respects the Briscoes, and they've had the Wolves' backs twice now when they've been attacked. Davey says that in Richmond at Death Before Dishonor, the Briscoes are welcome to a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship.
Just then, the House of Truth attack them. Rhino and Elgin continue kicking and stomping on the Wolves until security runs in to break up the fight.
