(Video after Final Battle '12 goes dark. A man dressed in a sharp suit is flanked by two huge men in glasses and suits as well.)"Wasn't that a tremendous card ladies and gentlemen? Please give these fine athletes a hand. Thank you. My name is M.W. Jergs. I am a captain of industry, an entrepreneur, and for as long as I can remember a fan of professional wrestling. I wanted to make this special announcement right here in Manhattan before it hit the Internet or the wrestling dirt sheets. I wanted the fans to know first. The ink has dried, the I's have been dotted and the T's crossed and the paperwork is complete. The Sinclair group has sold this wrestling to company to me. I am your new owner. I urge all of the fans to check the R.O.H. website on a daily basis as I begin to unveil my vision for Ring of Honor. I know that there may be concerns from some of you but I pledge that the same quality of professional wrestling will be upheld just as when this company was founded in 2002. Thank you all very much and we hope to see you this January in Philadelphia for "A New Era Begins".The last ten years were great we hope to surpass that."

(Video of new owner, M.W. Jergs and Nigel McGuinness at a desk facing the camera.)MWJ:"Hello fans, M.W. Jergs here and welcome to the first of several videos clips exclusively on the R.O.H. website to keep you informed about all the latest happenings on the new direction of Ring of Honor. Now even though some things will change, others will stay the same. So it's my pleasure to re-introduce to you the head matchmaker of ROH, former World champion, Nigel McGuinness. (The two shake hands.)NM: Thank you very much. I'm very excited to continue in this position and after speaking with you about your direction for this company I'm even more excited about what we have planned for 2013. MWJ: Excellent. So let's start right at the top. Our first huge show will take place in Philadelphia and it will be called "A New Era Begins". With that I want to take this opportunity to bring in the current R.O.H. World champion-Kevin Steen. (Steen is flanked by fellow S.C.U.M. members Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs as he enters the room.)SC: Ok, finally. I've been waiting for weeks trying to figure out just who to talk to about getting a re-match against The Briscoes to get our titles back. So let's go Nigel, make it happen. The conspiracy against S.C.U.M. needs to come to an end. MWJ: I believe I asked for just Mr. Steen to meet with us today. SC: Yeah, well you're gonna learn Mr. Fancypants that we do what we want around here. MWJ: No matter. I can allow Nigel to fill the fans in on two matches we have signed for January. NM: Kevin Steen. You've beaten almost every challenger that was put before you on 2012 except one. It seems only fair that you take on Jay Lethal in Philadelphia in a Fight Without Honor. However, this will be a non-title match-up due to Lethal's recent actions we did not want to reward such bad behavior with a shot at the gold. If he does beat you in that match you will have to defend the title against him in your next match. KS: Great. It really doesn't matter to me. I've enjoyed knocking down and beating up every wrestler that's been put in front of me by Jim Cornette and the rest of the ROH goon squad. So I'll take great pleasure in taking out Jay Lethal and any other family members that dare to come to Philadelphia. I will continue to hold this company hostage and I'm confident that in a fair two on two match Steve and Jimmy will regain the titles that are rightfully theirs. MWJ: What does that even mean? KS: What? MWJ: Holding the company hostage? Don't you work for us? Don't you get paid by me? KS: This company never wanted me to succeed. They don't want a guy that looks and acts like me to represent them as their champion. I'm not a hand shaking phony. I'm not some Ju-Jitsu jack-off. If you are across the ring from me you are one thing, in my way. I will stay champion as long as I want to. Understand something Mr. Owner. I've got no problem getting what I want when I want it. So I'd advise you not to question me again. MWJ: Kevin, I don't hate you. I'm a businessman. There are plenty of fans that love what you do and I'd be stupid to try and to take a performer that they pay good money to see out of my promotion. But let's be clear, I've seen this whole rebel routine before and if you keep biting the hand that feeds you it is you who will lose out - always. Threats warrant suspension and even termination if necessary. So keep that in mind. Nigel, please continue. NM: The new ROH World Tag Team champions Mark & Jay Briscoe will defend against Cedric Alexander and Caprice Coleman in Philadelphia. But don't worry gentlemen you will be scheduled to wrestle and if you want a title shot I'll make you that you'll both be in tag competition against another worthy team. SC: What a surprise. No return match for the former champions. I don't know I would have expected justice from you. NM: Now if you're finished crying we have a lot of work to do. Fans stayed tuned for further updates.

(Video of M.W. Jergs and Nigel McGuinness at the desk facing the camera)MWJ: Welcome back everyone. Nigel and myself have a few more announcements as we build toward our January card "A New Era Begins". Nigel, take it away. NM: Thank you. Let's turn our attention to the R.O.H. Television champion Adam Cole. Last year was a big one for this breakout star and it will be interesting to watch his development in the new year. We gave some careful thought to who his next opponent would be so let's go to some pre-recorded comments from that man right now. (Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis, and "Brutal" Bob Evans fill up the screen)MB: You know what babe. It's about time that I took the next step in ROH. It's about time that I stopped ending the careers of all the so-called legends that got put in front of me in 2012 - Lance Storm, Jerry Lynn - the list feels endless. In fact I'm so incredible bored I can't stand it. So imagine my surprise when I got the call that said I'd be starting off 2013 with a TV title shot against Adam Cole. Now that has my attention. It's time for the Prodigy to fulfill all the promise and potential that so many people have talked about when then they mention my name. Cole, you know deep down in your heart that you simply can't match up to me. You can't beat me. You won't beat me. NM: So there you have it, Adam Cole defends the TV title against Mike Bennett. You can only wonder how much impact the lovely Maria and that wanker Bob Evans will have on the outcome. My second announcement will hopefully end a rivalry that went on for most of 2012 and that's between Charlie Haas and Rhett Titus. Both of their partners at Final Battle suffered injuries and are unable to compete in January. But these two men still have unfinished business to attend to so I have signed a DOG COLLAR MATCH between those two men in hopes that it may help finally put and end to their differences. More updates to come as we countdown to a New Era. "A New Era Begins"-Fight Without Honor-"Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal -R.O.H. Tag Team Title Match-Jay & Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman -R.O.H. TV Title Match-Adam Cole (c) vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/Maria & Bob Evans) -Dog Collar Match-Rhett Titus vs. Charlie Haas -More matches will be signed.

I'm liking how your starting at the end of 2012 with the new ownership angle and moving into 2013 with a New Era. The video segments are really cool & fun, I'm looking forward to your 1st card and more of those video segments...

It seems that Mike Bennett's got a selective memory. He seems to forget that Cole beat him to win the TV title. Now he's going around telling everybody that Adam Cole can't beat him? Don't make me laugh.

*Thanks for the comments Crimson Cross and Barnstormer. I figured I'd try a different slant on my ROH fed. (Video opens with Nigel McGuinness in the locker room.)NM: Hello fans, Nigel McGuinness here with another R.O.H. update. I have two more matches to announce in this edition so let's get to it. For those of you that started following these updates you know that former tag team champions, Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs were quite upset that they were not the ones getting the title shot against the Briscoes. However I did promise them a match at "A New Era Begins". Their opponents will be El Generico and this man who is making his return to active competition in Ring of Honor and I'd like to bring him out right now. Delirious! (The crazed masked man runs around McGuinness out of frame and then back in again.)NM: Could you please give the fans a few words about your return to the ring here in Ring of Honor and maybe about your opponents Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs. D: Bizzah, Nigeala, R-O-H, bawitdaba, scuzzah, ruzzah, frigga, Jacobs, Grinna, spinna, kackle, rackle, Corino, trubble, bubblaz, mina, zena, Generico, welugate, regulate!, he,ha,he,ha, huss. (The masked man then quickly sprints out of frame while Nigel grins to himself.)NM: It's hard to top that announcement, eh? But I'll try. Another rivalry will come to a head as former training partners and friends will do battle in the ring. "American Wolf" Davey Richards will face former protege and one half of Team Ambition, Kyle O'Reilly. This should be a tremendously intense match between these two. That's all for now, stay tuned for more updates right here. "A New Era Begins"-Fight Without Honor-"Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal -R.O.H. Tag Team Title Match-Jay & Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman -R.O.H. TV Title Match-Adam Cole (c) vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/Maria & Bob Evans) -Dog Collar Match-Rhett Titus vs. Charlie Haas Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs vs. El Generico & Delirious "American Wolf" Davey Richards vs. Kyle O'Reilly -More matches will be signed.

(M.W.Jergs & Nigel McGuinness sit at a desk facing the camera.)MWJ: Hello ROH fans. The time is drawing near to "A New Era Begins"in Philadelphia. On today's episode we hope to round out our first card under my ownership. Nigel, if you please. NM: Thanks. One match that a lot of people are clamoring for will not occur on our first card and I'm talking about the re-match between "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and Roderick Strong that Elgin has been demanding since Final Battle. Strong however has shown no interest in wrestling Elgin, claiming that he's already beaten him once and has nothing to prove. Strong wants to get back into the title picture in 2013 and doesn't want to get sidetracked by his former stablemate. Right now I agree with him. So I've signed two more matches. The first will be Roderick Strong against another top contender "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards. The winner of this match may be able to position themselves for a title match in the future. The second will feature Michael Elgin and if he really wants to get Strong back in that ring I think he should earn it but to do so he'll have to get through former ROH World champion Homicide. So there you have it fans. "A New Era Begins" on January 12, 2013 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at the National Guard Armory. Tickets are on sale now. So we hope- (Jay Lethal has disrupted the broadcast.)JL: Sorry to break things up here but I haven't had my say just yet. Let me make sure I understand this correctly. I am wrestling Kevin Steen but it is NOT for the Ring of Honor World title. Is that what I'm hearing? NM: That is correct Jay. JL: I'm incredibly happy to get that fat tub in the ring so I can extract some retribution the only way I know how. But why don't I get my shot? I was hoping that new management would be a fresh start and that clearer heads would prevail and allow the winner of Survival of the Fittest 2012 to cash in his rightful title shot opportunity. So what do you have to say Mr. Owner? MWJ: Jay. Having reviewed the tape and discussed things with Nigel McGuinness I am in full agreement with the decision. All things considered I feel badly about what happened to you and your family in New Jersey but you can not put your hands on officials in this company. The grounds should have been suspension or immediate termination. I can guarantee you that if that happened under my watch that would be the ruling. Now I can see that you are still upset. So let me assure you that you've actually been given a second chance. If you beat Kevin Steen you will get an automatic title shot and as you said already you have a title shot already in your back pocket to be used in 2013. That will be honored but not at this time. JL: I don't think you guys understand. I should be able to use that shot when I want to. I earned it. I demand that this match be for the title! MWJ: That's my final word on the matter. So if you don't like it you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled up first. I don't take kindly to demands. Show Mr. Lethal out gentlemen. (Two massive men in glasses and suits grab Lethal and take him out of camera.) JL: Get off me. Get your hands--- -Fight Without Honor-"Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen vs. Jay Lethal -R.O.H. Tag Team Title Match-Jay & Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman -R.O.H. TV Title Match-Adam Cole (c) vs. "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/Maria & Bob Evans) -Dog Collar Match-Rhett Titus vs. Charlie Haas Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs vs. El Generico & Delirious "American Wolf" Davey Richards vs. Kyle O'Reilly Roderick Strong vs. "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs. Homicide
