R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 5/26/13(Nigel McGuinness stands before the camera.) NM: Wrestling fans Nigel McGuinness here with the next huge update for San Antonio. Several matches have been signed for June 1st. Jay Lethal will square off against the newly rebranded "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin in a top contenders match. Benjamin's running partner Montel Vontavious Porter also has a match signed against "Outlaw" Charlie Haas. "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen will lock up in what is sure to be an all-out war against Homicide. But the most intriguing match-up for me is watching the new R.O.H. Tag Team champions attempt to work as a cohesive unit against the wild and unpredictable team of Incoherence. Please listen to these pre-recorded comments from the tag team champions. (Steve Corino is by himself.) SC: I know that they're a lot of people in Ring of Honor who are very, very happy right now. They seem to think that S.C.U.M. is a divided house. Well I'm here to remind people that even the closest of brothers come to fists once and again. And in the end we will be stronger for it. So if I were you I'd be more concerned about the masked lunatics that are facing us in the ring. It's quite convenient that these men can't show their faces already because after Jimmy Jacobs and myself are finished with them they won't be able to walk the streets without scaring small children. My grand plan still hasn't been unleashed yet and when it is it will mean the end of this company! "You've Got to Stand for Somethin'"
Year #1 - Card #10
1) Rhett Titus pinned Kyle O'Reilly with the MUFF DRIVER @ 6:25.
Titus was dominant from bell to bell as O'Reilly had a hard time getting on track.
2) "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin pinned Rhino (w/Steve Corino) with a TOP ROPE FLYING LARIAT @ 14:03.
A very hard fought victory by Elgin who had trouble putting away the pesky "Man-Beast". After the bell, Kevin Kelly led his own beast to the ring in Tursas who attacked Elgin from behind. The two exchanged blows but Elgin who was weakened by a tough battle earlier eventually was hit with a Kreuz Bomb. ROH officials came down to break things up and chase Kelly and his charge to the back.
3) Montel Vontavious Porter pinned "Outlaw" Charlie Haas with the DRIVE-BY @ 8:25.
Shelton Benjamin came out to provide a distraction at just the right time for M.V.P. to land his stiff kick to take out Haas.
<Backstage> Veda Scott is interviewing Kevin Kelly with the hulking Tursas pacing behind him. Kelly said that Elgin represents the future of R.O.H. and that means that he remains a top target for his man to take out.
-Falls Count Anywhere- 4) "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen (w/Jimmy Jacobs) beat Homicide with the F-CINQ @ 11:15.
Steen took the mic before the match began and challenged Homicide to a special match. He was in a bad mood and needed to let out some aggression. Homicide agreed and the two battled all over the building. Finally Steen got the pin back inside the ring with the F-Cinq.
5) American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards) beat Jay & Mark Briscoe when Richards used the ANKLE LOCK on Mark @ 17:45.
An exciting tag match that saw the Wolves even the score against the former tag champions.
6) "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin pinned Jay Lethal with PAYDIRT @ 10:15.
Charlie Haas attempted some payback on his former partner but ended up nailing Lethal instead setting up him up for a loss.
-R.O.H. Television Title Match- 7) "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (c) (w/Maria Kanellis & "Brutal" Bob Evans) beat Tommaso Ciampa with the BOX OFFICE SMASH @ 18:24.
Ciampa came incredibly close to a win and hit Project Ciampa but the official was distracted by Maria for what would have been a certain three count. Bob Evans then took a right hand from Ciampa but it allowed him to walk into Bennett's finisher.
-R.O.H. World Tag Team Title Match- 8) S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs) (c) (w/Rhino) beat Incoherence when Jacobs pinned Frightmare with the RAILROAD SPIKE @ 19:45.
The tag champions entered the ring and left the ring separately but during the match they still seemed to work well together. Rhino distracted the official long enough for Jacobs to jab his spike into the young grappler's throat to retain the titles.

R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 6/5/13(Nigel McGuinness is on his cell phone.) NM: Yes. Yes I understand. Yes...I realize that you want me to handle this and I will. Ok. No problem. (McGuinness realizes he's on camera.) NM: We'll talk later. Hey you want to tell me when that things on next time? Hello R.O.H. fans it's me your matchmaker Nigel McGuinness and I have two huge announcements set for our next event. It's June 22nd in Baltimore, Maryland at the Du Burns Arena and the card is entitled "Best in the World". So that means we start with the R.O.H. World Title match and the current champions Matt Hardy. I've given this a lot of thought and I will say that I've reconsidered my previous ruling. That means that former champion Kevin Steen will get his re-match in Baltimore but there will be several stipulations that have been agreed to by S.C.U.M. for this match to take place. If Steen wins not only will he regain his title but he will also send Matt Hardy out of R.O.H. for one year. If Hardy wins then Kevin Steen's contract will be held by Steve Corino and S.C.U.M. for one year which means if he wants to compete in Ring of Honor he can only do so under the direction of Steve Corino. Honestly I hope that both guys just destroy each other so I am also making this a Steel Cage Match! I'll be honest here. I see a golden opportunity to continue to drive a wedge between the important cogs in Corino's group and now is the time to strike. I also think that it is imperative that a man of true honor is our world champion. Jay Lethal still has a title shot due to his victory at Survival of the Fittest. He will use that title shot against the winner of this match on the next R.O.H. card. Fans I've also signed a second match and this one will be a battle between two titans. "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin is one of the strongest stars on our roster and he has been challenged by a truly massive man in his own right, the Finnish nightmare Tursas represented by Kevin Kelly. These two men will square off in Baltimore to see who is the dominant force in this company. More matches will be announced so stay tuned. R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 6/11/13(Joey Styles stands in the locker room.) JS: Ladies and gentlemen we are full ahead for Best in World in Baltimore. Two more matches have been signed. First the R.O.H. World tag team titles will be on the line as the champions from S.C.U.M. Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs will battle the American Wolves, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards. Lately there has been dissension in the ranks of S.C.U.M. with Jimmy Jacobs taking issue with the his partner's decisions regarding the direction of the group namely attempting to rid themselves of co-founder Kevin Steen. The main event may finally settle things as Steen gets a re-match against current champion Matt Hardy inside a Steel Cage or maybe it only help further the disintegration of the enemies of Ring of Honor. That said will Corino and Jacobs be able to function well enough as a unit to hold off one of the greatest tag teams in R.O.H. history? Time will tell in Baltimore. For our second match I'd like to bring in two men who have been on quite a roll and that is "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin and Montel Vontavious Porter. They are collectively known as Black Dynamite. Gentlemen from what I understand you have a challenge for Charlie Haas. (M.V.P. and Benjamin enter frame.) SB: Charlie I will say that it's been a lot of fun kicking your tail in these past few months. Whether it's me or Montel you always seem to be on the short end, so we want to offer you a challenge. And I do see this as a huge challenge for you. You find a partner and face myself and Mr. Porter at Best in the World. Seems easy enough, at least for most people. But for someone like yourself who is a drunk and a self proclaimed "Haashole" no one and I do mean no one likes you in the locker room. I'd love to see who you'll get in your corner. MVP: You called your team with Shelton, the World's Greatest Tag Team when really my partner did the world's greatest job of carrying your sorry ass for so many years. See, just see if you can get some fool that's dumb enough to want you in their corner. I will agree with Shelton that it's been fun whupping up on you but we've got bigger goals in mind and that's taking as much gold as we can before we head back to prime time and everyone knows where that is. So bring it and let's see who's left standing when it's all over. Styles: Fans we await the reply of Charlie Haas and more matches will be announced right here on R.O.H. Newswire. R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 6/14/13(Truth Martini stands in the locker room.) TM: I am still in shock at the actions of Adam Cole. How dare you attack a man like Joey Ryan. A warrior-poet in the classic sense. But what I'm probably most concerned about is what people aren't doing. Nigel McGuinness. Where are the fines? Where are the suspensions? I am shocked at the lack of response by the higher ups in Ring of Honor. So since I am a man that gets things done I will not stand by. Now Mr. Ryan will be ready very soon as he is on a strict training regimen of deep tissue massage and hot yoga and when he is he'll be looking for you Adam Cole. In the meantime I've got a little surprise for you Adam. I've whipped out the checkbook and hired someone to take care of you. Call it a bounty. I call it money for services rendered. What I want is your head and the man that will bring it to me has no trouble doing things for money. Your opponent at Best in the World is .... Homicide. Think about it Adam. I'm just writing the check and getting out of the way and if there is anything left of you Joey Ryan will be sure to pick up the scraps. Ha Ha Ha. June 22, 2013 Baltimore, Maryland Clarence "Du" Burns Arena
"Best in the World"
Year #1 - Card #11
1) Jay Briscoe beat Tommaso Ciampa with a SMALL PACKAGE @ 14:02.
A tough competitive match that saw Ciampa climb the top rope to hit a second clothesline instead it was a cross body and Briscoe slid over and hooked the legs for a surprise three count.
2) Roderick Strong beat Jay Lethal with the STRONG HOLD @ 11:05.
Lethal has lost a lot of momentum over the past few months. Strong was able to get him to tap out to his patented hold after working on the legs after a missed dive. Either way Lethal will get his ROH World Title Match against the winner of the Main Event very soon.
3) The Young Bucks (w/Truth Martini) defeated Incoherence when Matt Jackson pinned Frightmare with MORE BANG FOR YOUR BUCK @ 9:45.
Martini's team used some excellent double teams and the distraction of their manager to get the victory.
4) Tursas (w/Kevin Kelly) beat "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin by DISQUALIFICATION when he used a STEEL CHAIR and pushed ref Paul Turner to the ground @ 6:55.
The match went to the floor and Elgin stole a chair that Kelly had intended for his masked man. He slammed it several times until the big man fell like a giant oak tree. Unfortunately the official was too close and Elgin tossed him to the guardrail and the bell rang giving the match to Tursas.
*In Ring - Black Dynamite is in the ring and Shelton Benjamin has the mic. He taunting Charlie Haas and wondering just who he could get to team with him. Haas emerges by himself on the ramp. He says that it was pretty hard finding someone that was as tough as he was but he found him. At that point he took of his t-shirt to reveal a second that said - S.C.U.M. on it. Both Rhino and Steve Corino emerged behind him and the match was on.
-Open Tag Challenge- 5) Black Dynamite defeated "Outlaw" Charlie Haas & Rhino (w/Steve Corino) when Shelton Benjamin pinned Haas with PAYDIRT @ 12:25.
Haas and Rhino had trouble matching the athleticism of their opponents. Corino hit the ring but was tossed over the top rope by M.V.P. Haas had no choice after two consecutive finishers to go down for the count.
-R.O.H. Television Title Match - TRIPLE THREAT- 6) "Prodigy" Mike Bennett (c) (w/Maria Kanellis & Bob Evans) beat Rhett Titus & Mark Briscoe when Bennett pinned Briscoe with the PHOTO FINISH @ 16:25.
Several tense moments for Bennett who did not have to be pinned to lose his title. Luckily he was able to dump a charging Titus to the floor and hit Briscoe with the Photo Finish. TItus tried to break up the count but Evans grabbed his leg and the three was made.
-R.O.H. World Tag Team Title Match- 7) American Wolves beat S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs) by DISQUALIFICATION when Corino and Jacobs both used chairs on Richards outside the ring @ 12:01.
The Wolves got the win but not the way they wanted as the divided champions used underhanded tactics to save their titles.
<Backstage> Veda Scott is with Truth Martini. She wants to know why he's been allowed to put a bounty on Adam Cole. Martini scoffs at the question. He wants to know why Golden boy Adam Cole hasn't been suspended for his ruthless attack on Joey Ryan. So he is ready to call in for some professional justice. Homicide enters the screen and Martini hands him and envelope. "You know what to do."
8) Adam Cole pinned Homicide with the FLORIDA KEY @ 8:35.
Cole matched Homicide outside the ring and used his own steel chair against him. Cole then hit the Suplex for the pinfall. Martini rushed to ringside and was visably upset and demanded his money back. Homicide obviously didn't care for that and he grabbed the manager until the Young Bucks were able to drag him from the scene.
-R.O.H. World Title Match- STEEL CAGE- 9) "Icon" Matt Hardy (c) pinned Kevin Steen with the TWIST OF FATE @ 21:45.
A violent match that saw both men bleed. Steen went for a leaping lariat into the corner and but instead went face first into the steel. Hardy then nailed his finisher and retained the gold. After the match Steve Corino was in the ring with a mic. " Now Kevin Steen, you are going to understand who you work for and that's me. You will do what I say, when I say it or I will rip this contract up into thousands of pieces. And just so you remember I have one last surprise for you and everyone else here. I have two more new members of S.C.U.M. to introduce tonight. Com'on down."
It was a smiling Kevin Kelly and Tursas.
Corino continued, " Big Man I want you to send a message to our friend Mister Steen." With that Tursas scooped up Steen on Powerbombed him in the center of the ring.
"Now Jimmy Jacobs. Where do you stand partner? You and I have had some trouble seeing things my way. So what will it be?" Jacobs thought it over and opened his arms to embrace Corino.
"Ha Ha Ha. You see Nigel. S.C.U.M. is now more powerful than ever. The time has finally come to put my plan into action and that's the final destruction of Ring of Honor."

July 12,, 2013 Milwaukee,Wisconsin Turner Hall Ballroom "S.C.U.M. vs. R.O.H.: Hunter or Hunted?" Year #1 - Card #12 1) "Zombie Princess" Jimmy Jacobs beat "American Wolf" Davey Richards with the RAILROAD SPIKE @ 10:45. Referee Tod Sinclair did not see Jacobs pull his patented spike from his boot to gash Richards over the eye. So S.C.U.M. took the first victory in this special card of challenge matches. After the match Eddie Edwards hit the ring and threw Jacobs over the top rope. He then tossed Jacobs into the ringside barrier before Steve Corino and Rhino cold hit the scene. Jacobs looked hurt and ROH security had to get involved. A wild start to the night. *Jimmy Jacobs is out 3 Fight cards<BACKSTAGE> Veda Scott interviews R.O.H. TV Champion Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis. Scott asks him why he isn't on the card helping defend R.O.H. Bennett sneers and says that he wasn't asked. But even if he was he would have declined. This place is only a stepping stone for me anyway. Maybe if Nigel gave me my World Title shot like I deserve I'd at least think about it. 2) Rhino defeated Adam Cole by COUNTOUT @ 12:02 when The Young Bucks attacked Cole outside the ring. Rhino's power against Cole's speed. Cole landed some heavy shots and went to the top buckle but was leveled with a forearm that sent him to the floor. As Rhino recovered he grabbed Referee Paul Turner and asked him to check his eye. This gave the Young Bucks time to double team Cole and hit him with a Con-Chair-to with two steel chairs to the head. Turner did not see the infraction and raised Rhino's hand. 3) "King of Old School" Steve Corino beat "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards with the OLD SCHOOL LARIAT and a tights pull @ 12:03. Corino mocked Nigel McGuinness who was at ringside that was S.C.U.M. was already up 2-0 and was about to go up once again. His face got serious as he pointed at Edwards and said that he would pay for hurting one of his brothers. A solid wrestling match until Corino used a roll of quarters that flew outside the ring. He then used the Lariat three consecutive times to get the win. He didn't stop there as he tossed Edwards outside the ring and hit a Piledriver on the floor. Davey Richars stopped any further damage and had to help his partner to the back. *Eddie Edwards is out 1 fight card.-Special Attraction-4) Frightmare (w/Delirious) pinned "Hollywood Submission Machine" Joey Ryan (w/Truth Martini) with the FRIGHT CHRUSHER @ 16:24. An incredible match-up. Delirious was able to keep the scheming Martini at bay as Frightmare launched a comeback after a tremendous beating. <BACKSTAGE> Veda Scott interviews Nigel McGuinness. She asks what he thinks so far about tonight's action. R.O.H. does not have a win yet and is 3-0. McGuinness says that he needs more unity from his side plus they needed to prepared to go outside of the rulebook if they must. To defend honor they will have to sacrifice it at times. 5) "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin pinned "Outlaw" Charlie Haas with a SUPLEX INTO A SIDE SLAM @ 12:45. Haas tried to take the match to the outside where he had an advantage but the larger Elgin still was too much for him. He caught Haas off the top rope and hit a Stalling Suplex into a Jackhammer for Team R.O.H.'s first win. 6) "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen beat Tommaso Ciampa with the F-CINQ @ 9:55. Before the match began, Marching Band music could be heard and a strange figure emerged marching to the ring. He stepped right in front of Ciampa, took off his white glove and slapped him across the face. "My name is Archibald Peck and I'm calling you out." Ciampa looked confused but soon tossed the skinny man, who looked just like R.D. Evans out of the ring. Steen attacked from behind and the match was on. The two battled in and out of the ring with Ciampa getting the upper hand. Finally with the ref distracted Peck clocked Ciampa with his Baton giving Steen an chance to land the F-Cinq for the win. 7) Roderick Strong beat Tursas (w/Kevin Kelly) by DISQUALIFICATION @ 8:55 when he Power Bombed Strong on a Steel Chair. Strong was using his speed to hurt the Finnish monster but once the match went outside he was helpless against the huge masked man. Under Kelly's direction he set up two chairs on the floor and Power Bombed Strong on top of them. The bell was called and the R.O.H. security was out quickly to limit the damage. -R.O.H. World Title Match-8) Jay Lethal beat "Icon" Matt Hardy (w/Steve Corino) by COUNTOUT @ 24:45 when Hardy was carried to the back by S.C.U.M. Lethal wrestled his best match in months and had Hardy in deep trouble. No matter what Corino tried Lethal seemed to get the upper hand. Soon members of R.O.H. and S.C.U.M. circled the ring cheering on their representatives. The fans grew louder as a collision sent Hardy stumbling thru the ropes and Lethal to the mat. Corino ordered Tursas to scoop Hardy over his shoulder and carry him through the crowd to the back. A brawl broke out between both sides as they tried to get to the masked man. Ref Paul Turner was unsure what to do and began counting he soon reached twenty over the protests of Nigel McGuinness and called the match.

R.O.H. NEWSWIRE 7/17/13(Joey Styles is in the locker room) JS: R.O.H. fans if you were in Milwaukee last week at "Hunter or Hunted?" then you know that S.C.U.M. came out victorious in the challenge series 4-3. But the biggest indignity of all was how R.O.H. World Champion defended his belt against Jay Lethal. He was a carried from the ring by that huge freak Tursas and took a count out loss to save his belt. But then again what else would expect from a group that cares nothing about honor? As you can imagine matchmaker Nigel McGuinness is discussing a possible immediate re-match for Lethal but no official word has been made as of yet. McGuinness will also need to make a ruling on the R.O.H. World Tag Team situation. If Jimmy Jacobs can't defend his half of the title within thirty days then he and Steve Corino will be stripped of the belts. More on that as it develops. For now I do have some news to pass on to you about the next big card in Toronto, Ontario Canada. On August 3rd it is "All-Star Extravaganza V". R.O.H. Television champion, "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett will defend his belt against "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin in what will be battle of two wrestlers who are both on huge rolls at this stage. Another match that has been signed is a six-man battle between Truth Martini and his men, Joey Ryan and The Young Bucks as they tangle with Adam Cole, and Incoherence in what should be a fast paced match-up. Fans stay tuned for more updates on the title situations and much more. August 3, 2013 Toronto, Ontario, Canada Mattamy Athletic Centre "All-Star Extravaganza V" -R.O.H.
