NM: Hello R.O.H. fans. As you can imagine I've had a lot on my mind since Milwaukee and I am now finally ready to render a few decisions. First let me discuss the R.O.H. World champion Matt Hardy. What happened during his title match against Jay Lethal made me sick to my stomach. A champion, a real champion does not take a countout to save his title. So as a way to remedy this Jay Lethal will get a re-match in Toronto and it will be a Fight Without Honor. I have also added the stipulation that no one will be at ringside. If anyone breaks this rule they will be automatically suspended from R.O.H.

Next, there were several injuries that were incurred from last card and a big one was to one half of the R.O.H. World Tag Team Champions - Jimmy Jacobs. I have informed both men that if they can not defend the title within thirty days they would according to R.O.H. by-laws be stripped of the belts. Steve Corino informed me by text that he would invoke the "Freebird rule" if Jimmy Jacobs could not go since S.C.U.M. is their official team name. I responded that this is not 1986 and either they will wrestle of we will find a way to crown new champions. So Corino and Jacobs are set to defend against Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander and they must defend the titles.

Ladies and gentlemen I must say I was a bit surprised to see us lose the challenge to S.C.U.M. 4-3. But the only reason that happened was that all of R.O.H. is not on the same page. People let personal rivalries get in the way of a much larger goal and that is putting S.C.U.M. down. And you now what that's my job. It's my job to make sure that our wrestlers understand just what is at stake and what really is important. This threat is turning out to bigger than I thought and we must strike quickly. SC: Nigel. You look a little nervous the last time I saw you. I looked into those eyes and I saw fear. Fear that maybe S.C.U.M. is a little more dangerous than you thought. Fear that maybe we will accomplish what we say we will and that's destroy this company.

Now, I have to say that I think you gotten a bit desperate as result of your fear though. A re-match for Matt Hardy's R.O.H. World Heavyweight Title with no one at ringside against Jay Lethal. It won't matter. Lethal will choke when the chips are down, mark my words. He will not be your savior.

As for Jimmy Jacobs, one half of the R.O.H. World Tag Team Titles with yours truly, he will be good enough to take out the C & C Wrestle Factory. It doesn't matter how hurt he may be and believe me he's injured. And Nigel you got excited and thought that maybe this is time to strike. But once again you'll see that Jimmy Jacobs is a zombie and he will keep fighting and fighting and fighting until the fight is done. Since you refused my request for a new tag partner from S.C.U.M. you'll get no satisfaction anyway.

Finally, come in here Kevin Steen. Come here!

Your brother in arms Jimmy Jacobs was savagely attacked by the American Wolves and since Eddie Edwards is on the shelf that means you have to take out Davey Richards. Not just beat him. Cripple him. You do what those mindless losers in the audience tell you each week "KILL, STEEN KILL". You do that and you keep your master happy another week. You do that and get to keep wrestling here because I control your fate here at least until this place is smoldering.

Year 1 - Card #13

*Before the matches started Joey Styles introduced tonight's card. He was soon interrupted by Kevin Kelly, who was flanked by Tursas. Kelly smugly said that it was time for the B team to step aside and that he demanded that Styles give up his microphone. Styles was defiant and said that he would never take it from him. He said that he might order someone to come out here to beat his ass but that Kevin Kelly could not do it or anything else on his own. Styles then proceeded to challenge Kelly to a fistfight in the center of the ring for the right to call the show. Kelly was taunted by the fans and screamed and yelled as Security appeared. Styles mocked Kelly as he took off his glasses and waited for him to come down to the ring. Kelly feined a sore shoulder and soon left behind the curtain.

1) Homicide & "War King" Eddie Kingston beat Rhett Titus & Grizzly Redwood when Homicide pinned Redwood with DA GRINGO KILLER @ 6:05.

A decent match until the double team tactics of Homicide and Kingston had Redwood isolated in the corner. He tried to roll to make the hot tag and once Titus hit the ring he spun around and Superkicked his parter in the face! He was then easy prey for Da Gringo Killer and the three count. Titus left the ring and into the waiting arms of Steve Corino who was waiting near the ramp. He handed Titus a S.C.U.M. t-shirt and gave him a huge embrace.

2) Archibald Peck beat Tommaso Ciampa by COUNTOUT @ 5:25

Ciampa was dominant until a missed turnbuckle charge gave Peck some offense. Peck then dumped Ciampa over the top rope and distracted the ref. Just then from under the ring apron emerged Q.T. Marshall. He hit a Piledriver on the floor and then rolled under the ring and escaped to the back. Ref Todd Sinclair did not see the infraction and counted to Twenty giving Peck the victory.

3) The Young Bucks & "Hollywood Submission Machine" Joey Ryan (w/ Truth Martini) beat Adam Cole & Incoherence when Matt Jackson pinned Delirious with a MOONSAULT @ 9:45.

Cole had difficulty communicating with his partners and as a result it cost his team the match. Finally a pier six brawl saw Cole push Delirious into Matt Jackson's Moonsault attempt that connected for the pin fall.

4) Jay & Mark Briscoe beat "Outlaw" Charlie Haas & Rhino when Jay pinned Rhino with the DEATH VALLEY DRIVER @ 12:35.

The Briscoes looked sharp in this one as they outclassed their opponents.

5) "Wrestling's Worst Nightmare" Kevin Steen (w/Steve Corino) defeated "American Wolf" Davey Richards with the PACKAGE PILEDRIVER @ 11:35.

Steen and Corino weren't on the same page most of the night as Corino's constant instruction almost caused Steen to strike his manager. The mater later spilled to the outside where the two brawled into the crowd. Once back in Corino tripped up Richards and right into Steen's Package Piledriver for the win. After the fall Corino slid a chair into the ring and ordered another one. Steen refused. Corino pulled out a contract and held an open lighter to it. Steen then angrily complied hitting a wicked Package Piledriver on the chair. Medical team came out to check on Richards who looked out.

6) "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin (w/Montel Vontavious Porter) pinned "The Prodigy" Mike Bennett (c) (w/Maria Kanellis & Bob Evans) with PAYDIRT @ 17:55

An excellent title match that saw Bennett's reign finally come to an end. Confusion at the end saw Maria mistakenly trip up her man Bennett while Evans was out cold due to a Superkick by Benjamin. The trip helped him land right into Benjamin's finisher and a new champions was crowned. After the match Maria blamed a semi-conscious Bob for the screwup. Bennett just grabbed Maria's hand and left Evans by himself.

-R.O.H. World Tag Team Title Match-
7) C & C Wrestle Factory beat S.C.U.M. (c) (w/Rhino) by DISQUALIFICATION @ 18:05 when Corino used a FOREIGN OBJECT.

Jacobs gamely wrestled even though he was clearly favoring his left shoulder. Corino got desperate as Coleman and Alexander began to gain momentum so he nailed Cedric with a small chain from his boot making sure that ref would see the infraction and ring the bell.

-R.O.H. World Title Match- Fight Without Honor- All Banned From Ringside-
8) "Icon" Matt Hardy (c) pinned Jay Lethal with the TWIST OF FATE @ 26:15.

A brutal match that saw both men bleeding. Mercifully this one ended but not with the result R.O.H. fans had hoped. In the chaos, Tursas picked up Joey Styles over his shoulder while Kevin Kelly took the microphone from his hand. Tursas continued to head to the locker room with Styles is tow as Kelly smiled happily.

Now that I have returned to my rightful place as THE voice of reason and sanity in these very troubled times for R.O.H. and that second rate Bingo Hall transplant Joey Styles is nowhere to be found, all is well.

But not for Ring of Honor, not for Nigel McGuinness, and certainly not the owner of this miserable mess M.W. Jergs. You gentlemen will reap the whirlwind of your poor decisions at the hands of the most powerful group of athletes today led by Mr. Steve Corino and yours truly. As you saw last week with Rhett Titus making a move to join our ranks our legions are growing as R.O.H. becomes weaker by the day.

In a few weeks at Manhattan Mayhem V on August 17th S.C.U.M. will continue to assert it's dominance against R.O.H. until finally pulling the trigger to put this company to rest.

MWJ: Hello R.O.H. fans. I wanted to take the time to join Nigel for this next update of the Newswire to calm any and all concerns about S.C.U.M. Their claims of shutting down this company are totally without basis and we are doing everything we can to make sure of that. Aren't we Mr. McGuinness?

NM: (Sigh) Yes. Yes we are. In fact I have several announcements to make in regards to the next huge card in New York City. First there have been some changes to the Eight Man Elimination match between R.O.H. and S.C.U.M. as Jay and Mark Briscoe will not be appearing in that match but instead "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards and Roderick Strong will be taking their places. I realize that these men have had their differences in the past but both have assured me that their are bigger problems at this point. The Briscoes will appear in New York as a part of a Three-Way Tag Team match for the R.O.H. World Tag Team title as Steve Corino and Jimmy Jacobs will defend against Jay and Mark Briscoe and Homicide and Eddie Kingston. First team to get a pinfall or submission will take the belts. I would also like to announce that current R.O.H. World champion Matt Hardy will defend his title against the new R.O.H. Television champion Shelton Benjamin.

Also I'd like to address the status of Joey Styles. I received a text message from Joey a few days ago. It read, "I'll be back." As of now that is the only communication that any of us have had with him at this time and we hope that he will be in New York for Manhattan Mayhem V. I can only imagine what he's been through after essentially being abducted by Kevin Kelly's masked goon.

MWJ: I don't want to think about that. What I do know is that I will be in New York City. (facing Nigel) I also know that this is your last chance. You need to put an end to this nonsense. You need to leave no stone unturned. You need to do whatever it takes to get rid of this menace.

A match in which we don't even need to get pinned or to submit in order to lose the titles. It will hardy matter. Our ranks continue to grow and you realize that while we are united you get weaker and your boss continues to sweat. I mean, we must have his attention if he actually feels the need to come to New York City for Manhattan Mayhem, right?

KS: (Looking at Jacobs) You feeling good bud?

SC: S.C.U.M. will prevail Nigel. I hear that you have some grand plan. Some scheme to make things right. I think it's just a ploy to buy yourself more time with your boss.

KS: Because you don't have to wrestle, you know.

SC: What?! Why are you even speaking? Jimmy Jacobs is fine. Aren't you Jimmy. (Jacobs just stares into the camera.) See.

KS: Steve, I'm just making sure ya know. Because I realize how precious the titles are to you.

SC: You mean us Kevin, us.

KS: Um yeah right to all of us. I just thought maybe it would make sense to have some backup. Maybe and hear me out here. Since I'm not on the card in New York City maybe I could help watch your back and since Jimmy is still recuperating I could make sure that he didn't get himself re-injured.

SC: Well, you know that's actually the first smart thing you've said in months. You would be there in the corner of S.C.U.M. with your brothers in arms as we defend the belts against R.O.H. I think that's a perfect idea. You see Nigel. Whatever you think you have up your sleeve will be useless against us. Kevin Kelly is just another step closer to the end of Ring of Honor. KK: Hello fans. Well, I'm back but I can't say that I'm tremendously happy about it. However It will your distinct pleasure to hear the greatest voice that was ever bestowed upon the wrestling world and that of course is my own. My predecessor Mr. Styles unfortunately was unable to join us tonight but to be honest I really don't care where he is. Now on to the destruction of Ring of Honor!

(MW Jergs is out with his twin bodyguards in tow.)
MWJ: Hold it. Hold it. There is no way that you'll be calling a match here tonight. Hermie.

KK:(Scowling) Oh really? Then come take this microphone from me.

(Jergs' motions to the Harris brothers and they converge only to get double clotheslined by Tursas. He then throws each man out of the ring over the top rope.)

KK: (Smiling) You're next.

(Jergs backpedals and heads to the locker room.)

KK: Let's get the first match in the ring.

1) Frightmare beat Kyle O'Reilly with the FRIGHT CRUSHER @ 13:45.

A very exciting high flying match between these two. O'Reilly pressed the advantage and went to the top rope but was too slow. Frightmare hit a Super Frankensteiner then sent him sprawling. A quick follow-up into the Fright Crusher and he got the well deserved win. After the match O'Reilly was very upset and left kicking the ropes and screaming at any fans he could find.

2) "Prodigy" Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis) beat Montel Vontavious Porter with Interference from Maria @ 6:55.

"Brutal" Bob Evans was conspicuous by his absence and Maria took the mic before the match and made it clear that he would no longer be needed. The match went back and forth until Maria jumped on the apron. The ref turned and allowed Bennett to dip into his tights and nail Porter with a foreign object knocking him cold. The three county was a formality.

3) The Young Bucks (w/Truth Martini) beat Adrenaline Rush (Tadarius Thomas & ACH) when Nick Jackson pinned ACH with the 450 SPLASH @ 17:02.

A tremendous debut for Thomas and ACH. They were close to victory until Martini jumped on the apron. ACH leveled him with a flying knee that sent him to the floor. That gave the Matt Jackson time to hit the X-Factor to set up the finish 450.



* In Ring: R.D. Evans took the mic before the match began. "Ladies and gentlemen. I need to respond to a few rumors and accusations from people that say I am Archibald Peck. Even though I am an incredible athlete in my own right and a damn handsome man he and I are in fact twin brothers. I have a signed deposition proving as much. So while he is not here now. He has discussed strategy with myself and Mr. Marshall since he does hold a victory over one Tommaso Ciampa. We are confident of victory.

4) Q.T. Marshall (w/R.D. Evans) beat Tommaso Ciampa with the GLAMOUR SHOT @ 10:51.

Ciampa's hard luck continues. He had Marshall set up in the corner for a knee strike until Evans grabbed his leg. Marshall capitalized and hit his big move for the three count while grabbing the tights.

5) "Die Hard" Eddie Edwards, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin, Roderick Strong & Jay Lethal beat Charlie Haas, Rhett Titus, Rhino, & Tursas in 23:10.

Order of Elimination:
Elimination #1 - Titus pinned Edwards with a SUPERKICK @ 6:01.
Elimination #2 - Rhino pined Elgin with the GORE @ 9:15.
Elimination #3 - Strong pinned Rhino with a SICK KICK @ 12:25.
Elimination #4 - Strong pinned Haas with END OF HEARTACHE @ 15:15.
Elimination #5 - Lethal pinned Titus with SPRINGBOARD DDT @ 18:45.
Elimination #6 - Lethal pinned Tursas with LETHAL INJECTION @ 23:10.

*IN RING: Kelly was shocked to see his giant pinned after several Sick kicks and then Lethal's finish. He rolled into the ring with a horrified look but it got worse when out of the crowd came ... JOEY STYLES! Styles grabbed the mic out of Kelly's hand and then landed a right cross that sent Kelly to the outside.

6) Eddie Kingston & Homicide defeated S.C.U.M. (Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs) (w/Kevin Steen) and Mark & Jay Briscoe when Kingston pinned Corino with SLIDING D @ 28:56 to win the titles.

The finish saw Steen "accidentally" land a shot on Corino with brass knuckles that set him up for the pin. Steen then left Corino alone while he tended to Jacobs who re-aggrevated his shoulder injury.

-RINGMASTER'S CHALLENGE-
7) Adam Cole beat "Hollywood Submission Machine" Joey Ryan (w/Truth Martini) 2 Falls to 1 @ 33:15.

Fall #1 - Cole pinned Ryan with the FLORIDA KEY @ 15:45.
Fall #2 - Ryan beat Cole with the "NUFF SAID @ 25:49.
Fall #3 - Ryan could not meet the Ten Count after Cole used a Steel Chair on both Ryan and Martini @ 33:15.

-R.O.H. World Title Match-
8) "Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin beat "Icon" Matt Hardy by DISQUALIFICATION @ 19:17 when Hardy was caught using a steel chain.

Benjamin's strength and wrestling skill were tough for Hardy to match. Late in the contest he struggled and appeared to be in trouble. He sense it as well and took a chain from his boot and used it flaunting a deliberate disqualification.

JS: R.O.H. fans welcome back. Once again I have the microphone as I stand before you ready to fight for what is mine. That sniveling rat Kevin Kelly will not win this war I assure you. But before I get to what I have in store for him let's talk about a place that is always dear to my heart - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On September 17th - DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR XI will take place. On that card I've been informed that Matt Hardy will defend the R.O.H. World Title against a man that has held every belt in this company and truly embodies what R.O.H. is about and that is Roderick Strong. Also on the card R.O.H. Television champion Shelton Benjamin will square off in his first title defense against Adam Cole.

And finally I'd like to extend a personal challenge to Kevin Kelly. I'd love to face you one on one in Philadelphia but I know that there is no way that you'd ever agree to it. So you choose a representative, no doubt that overgrown masked gorilla and I'll choose a representative and they will fight. It won't be a wrestling match. You call it a Fight Without Honor, I call it a South Philly Streetfight and the winner of the match gets a prize. If your man wins you get this microphone. You get this job that you so desperately want even though you don't deserve it. If my man wins I get 5 minutes in the ring with you. No interference, man to whatever it is you are.

SC: Even the best laid plans can experience a few bumps along the way. And just because I don't have the R.O.H. World Tag Team belts anymore, that doesn't mean that anything has changed about the future of Ring of Honor. I'll admit that maybe I got a bit overconfident but I have a chance to rectify my mistake. That mistake is you- Kevin Steen.

You see I thought that you could be controlled. I know that you need this job. I know that you need to provide for your family. So I think I need to provide you the proper incentive. Don't forget that I control your contract here, at least until this place burns to the ground. So as of right now you are suspended from S.C.U.M. You will not wrestle or even appear at ringside until I say so. I will bleed you dry until you see things my way.

I understand that Jimmy Jacobs has re-aggrevated his shoulder and will not be cleared to wrestle at Death Before Dishonor. But either way S.C.U.M. will be represented in the Tag Team Gauntlet match where the winner will get a title shot at the end of the evening in Philadelphia. So don't worry fans, S.C.U.M. is just fine and after September 17th when Kevin Kelly takes back the microphone and S.C.U.M. is wearing gold again and Matt Hardy turns back yet another challenge nothing will have changed.
