So, why is everyone talking about Legends when we are talking about the ROH expansion? Because some of us want ROH cards for Danielson, Nigel, Aries, Tyler Black and KOW?

But they're not in ROH, except for non-wrestler Nigel. You want Legends cards. That's a different game. What would you do with your Legends cards have them take on 2012 Steve Corino or 2012 Rhino That doesn't make any sense. They are washed up while your Legend cards would clean house. If I want to wrestle a Legend Danielson against someone it would be a Legend Rhino or a Legend Corino.

The game is awesome as is... For me, it is a reflection of the current 2012 roster. So, why is everyone talking about Legends when we are talking about the ROH expansion? perhaps because Filsinger Games is a business and adding guys like Bryan Danielson, Austin Aries, KOW, Tyler Black, Nigel McGuinnes, etc to the ROH game set could help attract new established ROH fans? plus, who in the hell would not want a Nigel McGuinness color card? Tom told me back in Chicago at Synergy earlier this year that there would be repeats of cards due to these Indy deals and that makes complete sense to me. Plus, in a time of unprecedented card releases (remember when as early as 2 years ago for Indy cards we were fortunate to get just 12 or so LOTF cards per year?,) I will never ever EVER complain ever about card duplicates. Because the fact is that we are still getting far more new cards then ever before! Do the math.

The cards we got for those guys before didn't reflect them during their main event runs. What would you do with your Legends cards have them take on 2012 Steve Corino or 2012 Rhino No, I'd rather have them face 2012 Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards to see how they would fare against them. That doesn't make any sense. Neither does having Lou Thesz face Danny Doring, but I digress. Besides, nobody and I mean NOBODY ever said you have to buy the Legends of Honor set, so why does it matter to you guys if they get new cards?

"the game is now?" no disrespect, but the game at the end of the day is a business. wouldn't Chris Hero, Nigel McGuinness, Austin Aries sell more than BJ Whitmer, QT Marshall, and TaDarius Thomas? also, although I want all of them, as a promoter I personally would want to add Hero, McGuinness, and Aries to my fed before Whitmer, Marshall, and Thomas

Exactly. You don't want an ROH expansion. You want another legends add on. How would that set not qualify as an ROH Expansion? It is them BASED ON THEIR TIME IN ROH. The stats reflect THEIR TIME IN ROH. The art reflects THEIR TIME IN ROH. Stop me when I get to the part where that's not an ROH expansion. Oh, and what do you consider the Generico/Saint/Sweeney/Amasis expansion for Chikara, then? It's the same thing.

I have to agree that "what the game is now" is up to the promoter. There is nothing that says that just because we got the current roster of "when" the game takes place.
As the promoter I decide in Nigel was forced to retire, I decide if danielson ever received a WWE contract, heck I decide how the current stables are filled out...my S.C.U.M. has Jacobs, Elgin, Archibald Peck from the Chikara roster and Larry Sweeney as their leader!
Hell, Titus just joined the BDK and has brought the "invasion" to ROH! My promotion, my world, and the more cards the more variety to my imagination.
Cheers

Cheers I need to clarify what I meant when I said "what the game is now"'. I was talking about the box that came in the mail with 26 ROH cards. They are not 26 Legends They are 26 cards specific to this point in time 2012. A legend card is usually the wrestler at his peak. By chance maybe some of them could end up being their legend card, but that will be decided later. For example if I buy madden 2013 I want 2013. Not a mix of random guys from years past.
