I have to agree that "what the game is now" is up to the promoter. There is nothing that says that just because we got the current roster of "when" the game takes place. As the promoter I decide in Nigel was forced to retire, I decide if danielson ever received a WWE contract, heck I decide how the current stables are filled out...my S.C.U.M. has Jacobs, Elgin, Archibald Peck from the Chikara roster and Larry Sweeney as their leader! Hell, Titus just joined the BDK and has brought the "invasion" to ROH! My promotion, my world, and the more cards the more variety to my imagination. Cheers I need to clarify what I meant when I said "what the game is now"'. I was talking about the box that came in the mail with 26 ROH cards. They are not 26 Legends They are 26 cards specific to this point in time 2012. A legend card is usually the wrestler at his peak. By chance maybe some of them could end up being their legend card, but that will be decided later. For example if I buy madden 2013 I want 2013. Not a mix of random guys from years past. I think that is a bad example. You cited Madden 2013. next year Madden will release another game with everyone in their newest game given modified stats. The ROH set doesn't work that way. This is the ROH set, not the ROH 2012 or ROH 2013 set.

It should be compared to the COTG 2089. You wouldn't just bring in Omega from 10 years ago. You would need a time machine. Maybe, Tom could make a game that only focused on the Legends of Wrestling, to make you guys happy. No wait, he already did. The fact that there is a Classics 2079 COTG set that was released with an Omega card representing his prime years kind of invalidates the argument. If there can be a classics edition for one specific brand (COTG), then that idea can certainly be applied to other brands (like ROH). However, I am firmly in the camp of wanting to complete the current roster and see any additions to it sooner rather than later. I also don't see why a classics edition can't run parallel to that, though.

Yes there was a a classics set but it had a year on it. It sounds like everybody here took every card from every year of COTG and played with them all at the same time.

Is it effecting your enjoyment of the game if someone does? I had no idea that there was a wrong way to play.

There was also Dimension X classics; that one mixed cards from different "years" and eras of Dimension X into one set. You know, if you read the whole thing I was inclined to agree about getting current ROH stuff foremost; but I read that response as kind of rude and now I almost feel like jumping on the "I want new Kings Of Wrestling" cards bandwagon just to be contrary.....

Don't get the word "Legend" confused with FG "Legends of Wrestling" game. FG didn't invent the word. Every fed has their legends. And being one shouldn't automatically shoehorn a wrestler into an arguably dated black and white game concept. Especially when the fed where the legends were born has their own evolved version of the game they can capitalize from.

I apologize for getting overly excited about an expansion pack. If a legends thing and a wrestler update can be done together then great. But if a legends thing gets done instead of an update of current wrestlers then i will start arguing again.
I know that I would buy both anyway.

I would love to have Legends in color. When i play LOW I need to suspend the belief that time travel is not possible. I was about to go on a rant that ROH can barely afford to transmit its IPPVs much less transport Danielson and Punk from 2005. ... Then you guys helped me remember that i have a Colt Cabana Chikara card that I could use to bring him back to ROH because he would be a good addition...

It has been announced that, similar to Chikara, expansion packs will be released throughout the coming year to bolster the ROH roster. There has already been preliminary rumblings of an alumni edition, but there are a lot of current wrestler who should make the cut first, in my opinion. To round out the current roster there's Bobby Fish, BJ Whitmer, Bravado Brothers, QT Marshall, and Tadarius Thomas. Grizzly Redwood is still on the roster page even though he's only been used a few times in the last six months or so. Non-wrestlers include RD Evans, Prince Nana, Nigel in his current role, and a Todd Sinclair referee card. I'd make a real good case for a Brutal Bob Evans wrestling card, too. There are the "women of honor" including Mia Yim, Veda Scott, the recent addition to the roster MsChif, and maybe even Maria. Following all of those we get to the alumni and guys like Aries, Claudio, Danielson, and Hero. Thoughts? Opinions? What should come first? Who should take priority here? Am I rushing this thread since the first edition is still days away from release? Those above names in Bold Color I would love to see in this July's release. I get having a ROH Alumni set would be good, so I'd think a good compromise would be for the next several expansions have 4 current & 2 Alumni if we're getting Six Pack expansion sets...
