So apparently Aniversario was the last Chikara show. All future events have been cancelled, and any other events have been turned into live events for Wrestling Is. Thoughts?

This isn't the end. It's the beginning...

I agree with Horrorshow, I don't believe it's the end. As soon as I read about it, my first thought was this is a very elaborate angle. Like was pointed out on PWinsider, this could also be a way of doing like a "Comic Book" style reboot, which I think would be a very cool idea.

this is a very elaborate angle. To say the least! Extraordinary, mind bending stuff going on in Quackenbush Land right now.

I'll put it like this with everything I've read about it and what I know personally: Horrorshow's right on the money. Things are only going to get more interesting from here...

So apparently Aniversario was the last Chikara show. All future events have been cancelled... The events for the remainder of the calendar year that were 'cancelled', were events for which there were no ticket sales made. They were phantom events, without an economic impact. It was also mentioned that non-disclosure agreements have been signed with select talent. If the promoter wasn't planning to do future business related to what happened, there probably wouldn't be an effort to protect 'company secrets'. Time will tell.

There are numerous rumors out there about why this was done, but it appears that Chikara as we know it is done and that something new will rise in its place. Storylines and kayfabe are very important to the man in charge, so for whatever reason it had to be done in reality, there had to be a storyline to go with it, and they did something big to capture lots of attention.

Someone noted that if you take the letters from each Wrestling Is... promotion and the ! from Fun!, you get Wrestling is...C.H.I.K.A.R.A.!
The K hasn't been revealed yet but speculation is that it means Kaiju. There's also Wrestling is Killer which was mentioned by a potential troll account so take that with a grain of salt. Lotta theories going around about the Eye of Tyr from the ending of last season, Dr. Cube, Wink, Titor, everything. Where they go from here will be incredibly interesting.

Wrestling Blog that the Eye of Tyr has previously been used to control someone other than Delirious in the past... olewrestling.com/chikara-wrestling/chikara-answers.htmIntriguing.

He actually didn't specify if it was 'in the past' or not, which is interesting because the pieces of the Eye were returned to Dr. Cube, were they not?
