My take...looks like an origin story for the reboot of Chikara.

Well clearly Chikara is coming back, and I'm more curious than ever to see where they're going with it.

I'm more curious as to why this was done. It can't be just as a story angle can it? It has to have an impact on business regardless of the Wrestling Is stuff. Except to core, smarky people like us, disappearing for months can hurt a brand in a market that relies on exposure and product recognition.
Or maybe I'm just thinking too much...

I'm sure there was some reason for all of this that we may never know. But all this hoopla could result in the fed coming back and a documentary on the history of chikara, which are both awesome. In the meantime I have begun to expand my Indy watching to other promotions like AIW and AAW, so all in all it could be a good thing as far as I am concerned.

An envelope with a QR Code and DVD was found at the DGUSA show yesterday, which featured a Chikara 8 man tag. Here is the video on the DVD:

Interesting that Icarus, a heel, is the face for bringing Chikara back.

Interesting that Icarus, a heel, is the face for bringing Chikara back. By siding with Sugar Dunkerton over Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano, to me it seemed Icarus was already becoming a tecnico.

At Anniversario, it was clear that Icarus is now a tecnico and Kingston is now a rudo.
