Three DQ decisions in a row? What the snap? Is this CZW or the Happy Fun Fair? Seriously, Mr Hyde needs to have a little chat with his officials...
That being said, Tangled Web 8 was an unpredictable ride... Colon defeats MASADA again - Unexpected... Strickland takes the CZW Wired title away from Fox - Cool, but unexpected... Did I mention the three DQ decisions in a row?
The main event was superb and built up some awesome heat in the faction war between BLKOUT and the Front... Joker scored a wicked victory, but it looks like Dickinson and Gacy were probably satisfied with the end result...
Awesome stuff!

Did I mention the three DQ decisions in a row? The main event was superb and built up some awesome heat in the faction war between BLKOUT and the Front... Joker scored a wicked victory, but it looks like Dickinson and Gacy were probably satisfied with the end result... Awesome stuff! Yeah, the three DQs were not cool. Especially since this is CZW. I am considering going with double rolls or something. Or maybe only DQ for outside interference or... I don't know. The thing with CZW IRL is that, despite their rep, they enforce the rules as much as any other promotion these days. I want to say Colon beating MASADA was unpredictable but for me it's not. I renew my case for a MASADA update! Immediately! As we approach Cage of Death, the BLKOUT/Front blow off may be in the cage. With BLKOUT maybe being a man down, how will it tilt the balance? Only time will tell. Thanks for commenting!

October 15, 2015 Marchesa Theater Austin, TX Inspire Pro ring announcer Brandon Stroud introduced CZW owner DJ Hyde. The Deej slowly came down the ramp to the ring, looking down his nose at the crowd. Brandon welcomed DJ to Texas and Hyde looked at him with disgust. DJ forcibly took the mic from Stroud, raising the ire of the crowd. Hyde acknowledged that Texas had a long heritage of tough wrestlers like the Funks, Dusty Rhodes, Blackjack Mulligan, etc. The crowd voiced their agreement but Hyde spoiled that immediately. He said that was the past and Texas wrestling now is soft. The boos came hard but Hyde continued on saying that the real men in pro wrestling were now on the East Coast, specifically in CZW. Then he called to the back for one of his wrestlers, Matt Tremont, to come out. “Originally, I just brought Matt on this trip with us to carry our bags but now I want him to help me prove my point. He’s probably the worst wrestler on my roster.” Tremont bristled at the insult but Hyde just smirked at him. “So why don’t you send out one of your best guys and watch him get beat by someone on my ring crew.” The crowd heckled Hyde and looked to the curtain anticipating who would come out to meet the challenge. Hated Inspire Pro regular “Dirty” Andy Dalton came out. The fans were conflicted about supporting the reviled heel, despite him defending the honor of Texas. Andy Dalton def. Matt Tremont by pin Dalton was all over Tremont from the bell. It didn’t take him long to go for his vaunted Piledriver. A cocky cover saw Matt kick out at the last moment, surprising Dalton. Andy punished Tremont some more before going to the Piledriver again, this time scoring the pin. Dalton talked crap to Hyde, rubbing it in. DJ shook his head with disgust, leaving Tremont behind. INSPIRE PRO XX DIVISION SHOWCASEJessica James def. Delilah Doom and Angelus Layne The women of Inspire Pro’s XX Division fought one fall to a finish. Layne and Doom battled furiously back and forth, trading big shots as James watched from where she sat on the top turnbuckle. Jessica got involved after Layne tried a pin attempt. She got Angelus out of the way and took over on Delilah, almost getting the pin after a Yakuza Kick. James then hit The JJ Kick and Lyne had to break up the pin attempt. The trio of fighting females went around, each coming close to winning the contest. James eventually dumped Layne to the floor then put away Doom with The JJ Kick. Drew Gulak came to the ring calling out the Inspire Pro roster. Crowd favorite Steve O’Reno answered the challenge and Gulak told him he was about to be taught who his better was. Drew Gulak def. Steve O'Reno by DQ Gulak showed his technical prowess, maneuvering O’Reno into a sharp shooter, trying to submit his opponent. Steve tried to overcome Drew’s dominant grappling but only ended up getting disqualified for his out of the ring actions. O’Reno was disappointed with himself for letting the Inspire Pro fans down. Barbi Hayden def. Kimber Lee by pin The inter-promotional competition next turned to women’s action. Hayden overpowered Kimber Lee, battering her with kicks and elbows. Kimber fought back with a some powerful strikes of her own but Barbi’s strength was more than she could handle. Kimber Lee looked totally outclassed. She showed her toughness by taking a lot of damage but ultimately fell to the Hayden Halo. DJ Hyde came out again, apparently fed up with the performance of his wrestlers, saying he was going to have to take care of business himself. He demanded to face Inspire Pro’s top man. The crowd popped big for Ricky Starks who came out to meet Hyde in the squared circle. Ricky Starks def. DJ Hyde by pin Starks was fired up and threw some big shots DJ’s way but the larger man turned aside the blows and reversed Ricky off the ropes with a DDT. Hyde missed a running senton leaving him open to Starks who danced around him, landing strikes then executing his Famous Amos leg drop bulldog. Even though he wasn’t doing a lot of damage, Ricky confounded DJ with his evasive counter offense. After wearing down Hyde to some degree, Starks went for The Buster Keaton, getting the upset victory against the CZW owner. This effectively won the inter-promotional contest for Inspire Pro having already taken three of the nights five matches between the two companies. The dejected Hyde remained in the ring and, to the fan’s disapproval, grabbed the mic from Brandon Stroud. He said that this wasn’t over yet and that his final wrestler to compete was the only wrestler from Texas he respected - “The Ultraviolent Beast” MASADA. The crowd seemed to be familiar with MASADA and gave him a warm welcome. Hyde said that CZW was known for it’s ultraviolence and, since they were in Texas, it was only fitting that the main event should be a Texas Death Match. Then he asked if there was anyone on the Inspire Pro roster man enough to step up. Of course someone did, and the fans jeered as soon as they heard his music. “The American Psycho” Lance Hoyt burst through the curtain and the match was set. Last man standing would win. TEXAS DEATH MATCHLance Hoyt def. MASADA MASADA mistakenly tried a shoulder tackle as his opening offense, barely budging the bigger man. Hoyt then leveled MASADA with a pair of lariats and nearly pinned him. An F’n Slam also came close to scoring the pin but the resilient MASADA kicked free at the last moment. In an ironic twist, the Inspire Pro crowd started rooting for the CZW star. MASADA made a comeback and impressed by powerbombing Hoyt and hitting Raining Blood for a strong two count. As expected, the battle went to the floor where Hoyt was slammed through a couple of rows of chairs and MASADA ate the ring post in return. MASADA was determined to slug it out but Hoyt’s size advantage saw MASADA being repeatedly slammed to the mat. Hoyt got the pin after hitting Blackout and MASADA was not able to meet the ref’s count to continue the match. Inspire Pro dominantly defended their territory against CZW’s visiting entourage.

Oh, snap! Inspire Pro teaches DJ Hyde a tough lesson... Don't mess with Texas! Especially not on their home turf...
Enjoyed watching these two promotions combine their talent pool - very innovative... Could not be more pleased that Starks managed to score a huge upset over the CZW owner...
Very entertaining!

Yeah, DJ Hyde and CZW did the favors, putting over the younger company. LOL. CZW has been doing shows like this irl during the past year so I can't take credit for the idea. I'll be doing more of these in the future. I see it as an opportunity to use some of the cards I haven't played much yet. Thanks for commenting!

November 7, 2015 Rockstar Pro Arena Dayton, OH Shane Strickland def. Chris Dickinson by pin The Front’s “Dirty Daddy” took on the CZW Wired Champion Strickland in this non-title bout. It was Dickinson getting the early upper hand but Strickland bounced back with his aerial arsenal. Then it was Dickinson making a strong comeback, getting a near fall with the Brain Eater. Dickinson landed some punishing offense while the ref was down after taking a bump. It looked like Swerve would succumb but he made a spectacular comeback, drilling Dickinson with one high impact move after another, capping it off with a 450 Splash for the win. Dickinson’s fellow Front member, Joe Gacy, came out and blindsided Strickland and the two then injured the Wired Champion before Lucky tHURTeen could make the save. Lucky tHURTeen def. Joe Gacy by pin Lucky was in the driver’s seat first, using his agility to befuddle Gacy. Joe turned the tide with his size advantage, smashing Lucky and wrenching on him with The Mangler. Top Rope Splash by Gacy saw a near fall. Lucky caught Joe by surprise with a cradle off the ropes for a two count and followed up with a Shining Wizard for the pin. Devon Moore def. DJ Hyde by pin Moore, a member of the Nation of Intoxication, was taking on the boss of CZW. Devon made DJ look foolish until the fight went to the floor and Hyde bashed him into one of the arena’s support columns, knocking him senseless. DJ went for a lariat but Moore ducked and his arm struck the support instead. Moore went for the Country Boy Press but was unsuccessful with the pin attempt. A Yakuza Kick and a second Country Boy Press put one in the win column for Moore. Greg Excellent def. Sozio by pin The good-natured Excellent interacted with the Dayton fans until Sozio and The Front came out, looking to spoil the fun. Greg gave Sozio a boot, an Excellent Driver, and an STO. The fans loved it as Sozio rolled out of the ring to be consoled by Trooper Audubon, Nicholas Kaye, and the rest of his guys. Excellent came out after him, bouncing Sozio’s buddies aside with his big belly. Sozio won a slugfest at ringside then went for Bam-Mar-Chair-A but missed. Greg got in some shots but Sozio cut him off. The two went toe-to-toe for a while. Excellent got a two count with an Excellent Driver then put his opponent away with a Tiger Driver. ULTRAVIOLENT RULESDanny Havoc def. Alex Colon by pin The CZW World Heavyweight Champion faced his rival Havoc in this non-title match that favored Havoc’s extreme style. Colon got the jump on Danny, scoring with a Shining Genki, then a Sliding D for a short two count. Pop Up Driver and a Done Deal by Colon for a near fall. Alex wanted this one over before any ultraviolence could be introduced. Done Deal for another near fall. Havoc tried fighting back but Colon executed another Done Deal. Danny got his shoulder up at the last moment. Done Deal for a fourth time and still Havoc kicked out. Alex was just about pulling his hair out. Nothing could put Havoc away! The frustrated Colon went to the top rope but missed the jump. Havoc scooped him up for General Order 24 and it was over just like that. Alex jumped Danny from behind as his hand was being raised. The CZW champion gave Havoc the Done Deal on a steel chair, injuring Havoc’s neck. Danny’s NOI partners came to the ring to check on him and it didn’t look good. Havoc had to be stretchered from the ring in a very scary moment. CZW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPOI4K def. Beaver Boys(c) by DQ Local favorites, Jake and Dave Crist, received this title match in front of their home crowd and the OI4K chants were non-stop. At the bell, Jake was on the receiving end of a double low dropkick with Alex Reynolds going for the quick cover. Reynolds kept the momentum then tagged in John Silver for a double flipping DDT and a near fall. Dave was working the crowd up, encouraging his brother to make it to his corner for a tag. Silver tossed Jake to the floor and soon all four men were brawling around ringside. It got out of hand when Silver took up a chair and went berserk, bashing everyone with it, including the ref and ring crew who tried getting him under control. The official decision was OI4K winning by disqualification but failing to capture the titles to the chagrin of their hometown fans. CZW Rankings- Alex Colon
- Danny Havoc
- Shane Strickland
- A.R. Fox
- MASADA
- Drew Gulak
- Greg Excellent
- Sozio
- Lucky tHURTeen
- Devon Moore

That Ultraviolent Rules match between Danny Havoc and Alex Colon was pretty intense. Huge win for Havoc but the CZW World champion injured him post-match. I was pulling for OI4K to win the tag belts in their hometown but the Beaver Boys took the easy way out.

cruefan68 - Colon/Havoc and Beavers/OI4K continue their programs this show on the road to Cage of Death. I'm looking for blow offs of both feuds at CoD, so we'll have to see where the gold falls when the dust has settled. Thanks for commenting! November 21, 2015 Flyers Skate Zone Voorhees, NJ Lucky tHURTeen def. MASADA by pin The fearless Lucky was not intimidated by the violent reputation of “The Ultraviolent Beast”. He swarmed MASADA with quick-hitting offense. MASADA rolled out of the ring to regroup but Lucky followed after him and threw a chair in his face. MASADA started to look miffed but his smaller opponent kept after him at an accelerated pace, nearly pinning him with a crucifix. Lucky stopped to take a break and sip a beer. This allowed MASADA to make a short comeback before Lucky took over again and got the pin with a 360 corkscrew moonsault. MASADA raised lucky’s hand, acknowledging him as the better man this night. Joe Gacy def. Devon Moore by pin The scrappy Moore of the Nation of Intoxication took on The Front’s bruiser, the “Chainsaw”. Devon took the fight right to Gacy and they ended up trading blows on the floor. Moore came out on top of the exchange and hit a Country Boy Press for a two count. Gacy turned the tide with a bicycle kick and proceeded to beat the hell out of Moore at ringside. Back in the ring, Gacy continued to punish Moore with brutal offense. Gacy ended the beat down with a Top Rope Splash for the win. Ruckus def. Chris Dickinson by pin The ongoing animosity between BLKOUT and The Front continued in this match. As one of Sozio’s “fixers”, Dickinson was looking to take out Ruckus like they did Joker back at Tangled Web. It was a clash of power versus agility as both men struggled to get the upper hand. Ruckus began putting together a string of dazzling offense, hitting Dickinson with The Hate Crime for a near fall. A second Hate Crime set up Dickinson for Poetic Ruckus with the move’s namesake covering for the pin. It was a relatively easy victory for Ruckus as The Front lost some ground against their enemies. CZW Wired Champion Shane Strickland came out dressed in street clothes. He explained that he had suffered a concussion at the hands of The Front and was not cleared to defend his title tonight. His friend, A.R. Fox, the man he was scheduled to face tonight, came out. He promised Fox that he would get his rematch for the Wired Championship once he had a doctor’s approval. Fox nodded and they shook hands. This display of sportsmanship was interrupted by Drew Gulak who came out and got on Strickland’s case about being soft, stating that Harley Race or Terry Funk never bowed out of a match because of a “concussion”. Shane replied that it wasn’t up to him and Gulak implied that he was faking it. Fox came to his friend’s defense and told Drew to get into the ring so that he could shut him up. A.R. Fox def. Drew Gulak by pin The opening minutes saw Gulak control Fox with solid grappling. It was only a matter of time, though, before Fox exploded with his patented offense. Fox hit a pair of suicide sentons that took their toll on both men. Fox kept focus and nailed Drew with a flying single knee facebreaker for the three count. Fox made good on his word as, for now, he had shut Gulak up. BLK Jeez came out for the next match and waited as Sozio and his Front cronies came down the aisle. Sozio got on the mic and said it was time for the leaders of this little gang war to face each other mono e mono. He had made a deal with CZW owner DJ Hyde to clean up the Combat Zone of the BLKOUT scum and he was going to cut the head off of the snake tonight. BLK Jeez def. Sozio by pin Sozio blitzed Jeez and began executing crushing moves. The Yakuza Kick looked to end it but Jeez got his shoulder up, frustrating Sozio. Jeez was on the receiving end of another Yakuza Kick, and as Sozio set up to deliver a third. Joker, who hasn’t been seen for three months, ran out and attacked Sozio. Obviously The Front hadn’t got the job done as far as putting Joker out for good. Chaos erupted as the BLKOUT and Front contingents poured out of the dressing room for a huge brawl. CZW Director of Operations Maven Bentley came out with security to try and regain order. Jeez used the mayhem to find an opening and made a comeback. Sozio was on the receiving end of BLK Jesus Walks twice, dropping the fall. After the bell, and once security had the two sides separated, Maven addressed everyone in attendance. He said it was no secret that it would be The Front and BLKOUT next month in the Cage of Death. After a pause for the cheering to die down, he continued, adding a stipulation to the match at CZW’s biggest show of the year. The war between the Front and BLKOUT would end at Cage of Death no matter what because the losing team will be contractually forced to disband. There would be no more scenes like this one between these factions after CoD. CZW World Heavyweight Champion Alex Colon came out and the fans totally crapped on him. He was cocky in the face of the heat and awaited his challenger. Danny Havoc came out and it was unmistakable that he was favoring his neck after Colon injured it a couple of weeks ago. Colon acted proud of what he had done to Danny and warned that he was going to do it again. Some fans and CZW personnel urged Havoc to not wrestle the match for fear of suffering permanent injury. Havoc’s Nation of Intoxication brothers Devon Moore and Lucky tHURTeen came out and tried talking sense to him. Just when Danny seemed to listen to reason, Colon mocked him and called his manhood into question. Havoc got fired up and looked to get into the ring but Devon and Lucky held him back. Lucky looked Danny in the eyes and did his best to persuade Havoc to let him take his place tonight against Colon. Reluctantly, Danny conceded and it would be Lucky getting the title shot tonight. CZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Alex Colon(c) def. Lucky tHURTeen by pin Lucky’s aggression had Colon off balance right away. A Shining Wizard by Lucky gave his opponent a scare. Alex recovered and landed some solid offense but Lucky fired back. Colon went to the floor to slow the pace and slammed Lucky into the ring post. There was some great back and forth as Colon showed why he was an unlikely champion and Lucky demonstrated that he was a rising star. A Frankensteiner set up another Shining Wizard by Lucky, getting a near fall. A third Shining Wizard came soon after and the count was even closer. It was all Lucky for a while until Colon unleashed some vicious shots and went for the Done Deal. Lucky’s kick out at one shocked Alex. He went for his finisher again, getting two. Spanish Extinction for 3⅞ . Colon was in total control down the home stretch with Lucky holding off defeat for as long as he could It was a Shuffle Kick by Colon that was the last straw. Both men impressed and showed that the are perhaps the hottest things going in the promotion. As Devon Moore helped Lucky to the back, Danny Havoc promised Colon that things weren’t done between the two of them and he would see him at Cage of Death. Colon dismissed the challenge and just clowned on Danny’s injured neck. Sozio promo Sozio - “What is this crap, DJ? This extra stipulation for Cage of Death is going too far. You better get your boy in line.”Maven Bentley - “What did you just say?”Sozio - “You hired The Front, DJ. We don’t work for this guy. You tasked us with getting rid of BLKOUT and their kind and now I have this guy trying to tie our hands.”Maven - “Their kind? I can’t believe what I’m hearing. You know what, DJ? If you don’t back me on this, you’ll have my letter of resignation.”DJ Hyde - “Sozio, if you can’t beat BLKOUT at Cage of Death, then you weren’t the right man for the job anyway. Now get the hell out of my office.”CZW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPOI4K def. Beaver Boys(c) by pin The last meeting between these two teams saw Dave and Jake Crist defeating the Beaver Boys by disqualification but unable to capture the gold. This time out, the Crists took care of business before another controversial finish could cost them. They hit John Silver with a string of double team combos including their Irish Air Raid Finisher. Jake booted Alex Reynolds off the apron as Dave covered Silver for the pin. The sudden finish to the main event did not mark the end of the show as Silver and Reynolds attacked the Crists as they were being handed the championship belts. The subsequent brawl lasted nearly fifteen minutes as the two teams battled throughout the Skate Zone as security vainly tried to regain control. The cameras followed the combatants into the parking lot as the show closed. CZW Rankings- Alex Colon
- Danny Havoc
- Shane Strickland
- A.R. Fox
- Lucky tHURTeen
- MASADA
- Drew Gulak
- Greg Excellent
- BLK Jeez
- Sozio

Congrats to OI4K on winning the CZW tag titles and that post-match brawl was crazy stuff. That was a good win for Alex Colon over Lucky Thurteen but let's see how Colon does against Havoc at Cage of Death. It was cool to see Thurteen get the big win over Masada in the opener and then get the title shot. Another solid show from CZW, I felt that I was actually at the Flyers Skate Zone.

cruefan68 - Thanks for the comments, Crue! And now it's time for the craziness that is Cage of Death! December 12, 2015 Flyers Skate Zone Voorhees, NJ The packed house was buzzing for CZW’s biggest event of the year. CZW owner DJ Hyde came out dressed in a suit and got into the ring. The fans let him have it with a resounding “F-U DJ!” chant. When the jeers subsided, he welcomed everyone and promised a great show and expected everyone to enjoy it. He turned the mic over to ring announcer Emil J. to introduce the first match of the evening. Devon Moore def. Drew Gulak by pin The match opened with a nice exchange of moves and counters. Gulak had Moore in a sharp shooter for a length of time trying to get a submission. When Devon wouldn’t tap out, Drew transitioned to an ankle lock submission. Moore struggled to get out of the ring to break the hold. Drew came out after him, grabbing a chair and driving it into the leg he had been working on. Back in the ring, Drew stayed on top of his opponent and went to the Gu-Lock for another submission attempt. Drew got a lot of heat as he stretched Moore for a while. Devon came from behind late, stealing the win with a Country Boy Press. Greg Excellent def. MASADA by pin In a contrast of styles, the fun loving Excellent faced the intense MASADA in this clash of CZW veterans. Greg was taking this match seriously as he came out slugging. MASADA shook it off and methodically worked Excellent over and nearly pinned him after a MASADAmizer. Greg rebounded and had MASADA in trouble, getting a near fall with a Tiger Driver. Excellent went to the Tiger Driver again and got the pin. The men showed each other respect after the hard-hitting contest. Lucky tHURTeen def. A.R. Fox by pin Lucky had a hard time putting any offense together in this match despite fans at ringside giving him cups of beer to recuperate. Fox’s offense was non-stop but never enough to put Lucky away. A last minute burst by Lucky saw him go over with a crucifix for the pin. Fox was bewildered, probably thinking he had this one in the bag. Devon Moore hobbled down to the ring to congratulate his Nation of Intoxication teammate. As Fox went to leave, Moore stopped him and asked for a mic. “Hold on, Fox. I got something to say. You need to hear this but it’s directed at the CZW Wired Champion. Shane Strickland, I know you’re in the back. Come on out here.” When Strickland didn’t show right away, Devon had more to say while waiting. “I know you’re hurt but I just about got my leg ripped off earlier and I managed to limp out here.”Strickland showed and came to the ring to hear what Moore had to say. “I know you and Fox are buddies and you feel you owe him a rematch for that title at the anniversary show but in case you didn’t see, my man Lucky here just beat him. He also took the CZW Heavyweight Champion to the limit last month. The way I see it, he deserves a shot at that belt. And don’t forgot, he saved your ass from The Front a while back. You owe him, cuz.”Strickland and Fox conferred for a moment, then Shane replied. “Fox is getting that title match. I don’t break my promises. But how about this? We can make it a triple threat match. And swear to keep it competitive. Every man for himself.”Moore consulted Lucky. “Okay, champ. But I’ll be at ringside and if I think you two are working together, don’t think for a second that I won’t do something about it.” All four men looked agreeable and headed to the back. Falls Count AnywhereCZW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPOI4K(c) def. Beaver Boys by pin After last month’s arena-wide brawl closed the show, the rubber match between these two teams would be a battle that could end anywhere in (or out) of the Skate Zone. The action went to the floor right away with Dave Crist and Alex Reynolds exchanging shots. Reynolds took an Irish Air Raid on the floor but avoided the pin. Dave and his brother Jake focused on Reynolds, concentrating their heavier offense on him as they took turns holding John Silver at bay. Dave performed a crazy tope con hilo off of the camera platform, wiping out a few rows of chairs. Alex kicked out of the ensuing pin attempt. Jake and Dave ended the match by spiking Reynolds through the announcer’s table with Irish Coffee, retaining the tag-team titles. Alex was hurt and an enraged John Silver hurled a Toys For Tots collection barrel at the Crists as they left the ring area. Last Man Standing CZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPDanny Havoc def. Alex Colon(c) It was obvious that Havoc was still feeling the effects of the neck injury he suffered at the hands of Colon in Dayton a month ago. Tonight they would be settling things in a Last Man Standing Match with the title on the line. Colon got things going with a snap suplex that had Danny clutch his neck in pain. Alex quickly worked up to a Done Deal but Danny got back to his feet before the ref’s ten count. Havoc took a lot of punishment before surging back, hitting an Iowa State Cyclone. Colon was hurt but gained his feet. Total Havoc on the floor and Colon struggled to get upright.. Colon started back pedaling as Havoc stalked him at ringside. Total Havoc again and Colon retreated to the floor once more but caught Havoc as he gave chase, smashing him into the ring post. Danny came up bleeding and Colon’s confidence returned. It faded quickly as Havoc pulled out a sheet of plywood covered in barbed wire and slammed Alex on it causing his body to weep crimson from an assortment of punctures. Danny did not let up and Colon could not answer the ref’s count after a General Order 24. Havoc regained the CZW title, overcoming adversity. As he held the belt up, unfamiliar music played and everyone looks to the curtain to see who it might be. This was a ruse as a man in a hoodie came through the crowd and snuck into the ring. He stood behind Havoc, waiting for him to turn around. When he did, the new arrival blasted him with a kick to the face, dropping Danny motionless to the mat. Slowly he pulled the hood back revealing himself to be Sami Callihan. The crowd went crazy, half booing and half cheering the return of the Callihan Death Machine. Sami picked up the belt and looked at it intensely, making clear the reason for his return. Havoc’s Nation of Intoxication brothers came to his aid and Sami retreated back through the crowd. The wait was almost over as the ring crew assembled the Construction of Destruction. Matt Tremont could be seen helping set up, serving his final night on the ring crew, missing his opportunity to participate in the main event this year. BLKOUT began the year terrorizing CZW after winning the last Cage of Death with Ruckus being the sole survivor for his team. CZW owner DJ Hyde enlisted Sozio and The Front to run them out of the company. The task was easier said than done as a war erupted between the two factions. Now everything would be settled as CZW Director of Operations Maven Bentley put forth the ultimatum that the losing team must disband. With the stakes high, each team approached the pain-inducing amalgam of barbed wire, panes of glass, and untold other hazards with caution and a respect bordering on reverence. The winners would make history but pay for it with flesh and blood. CAGE OF DEATH BLKOUT vs. The FrontBLK Jeez, Ruckus, and Joker represented BLKOUT, facing The Front of Sozio, Chris Dickinson, and Joe Gacy in 6-man elimination. The two teams warily squared off, mindful of their perilous surroundings. Soon punches and kicks were flying. Gacy and Joker took center stage as the most heated part of this feud. Gacy put the “Cambodian Axe Murder” in The Mangler looking for a submission. Joe turned his rival over to Dickinson who threw Joker into a section of cage that had carpet strips woven into it. Joker climbed to a platform on top of the cage and Dickinson followed. As they traded blows on top, Gacy set up a table and arranged some chairs on it. Dickinson gave Joker a Burning Hammer from their lofty perch, both men crashing through the table and chairs, out of commission for a while. Sozio and Ruckus traded offense with the leader of The Front trying for an elimination with Curtains. Ruckus fired back and attempted a pin after The Hate Crime. Jeez botched a senton to Sozio and received The Yakuza Kick for his trouble. Gacy landed on Jeez with a Top Rope Splash but Ruckus broke up the pin. Sozio went after Ruckus as Gacy set up another table. Placing Jeez on the table and sandwiching him with a board wrapped in barbed wire, he went for another Top Rope Splash. Jeez got out of the way and Gacy went through the table. Jeez called for a pane of glass and one was slid into the ring. Jeez propped it in one corner and tried to get Joe up for a power bomb. He couldn’t handle Gacy’s weight and Joe ended up back dropping Jeez, the sheet of glass shattering under him. Meanwhile, Ruckus was working over Sozio and eliminated The Front’s boss with The Hate Crime. Sozio was eliminated.Ruckus pulled Gacy away from Jeez and gave the “Chainsaw” some hurt, including shredding the flesh of his bicep with a barbed wire baseball bat. Ruckus put Gacy in a Tree of Woe and got a pane of glass and propped it over Joe. With a running start, Ruckus dove through the glass with Poetic Ruckus, glass exploding as the dropkick connected with Gacy, blood starting to stream down his face. Ruckus went to The Hate Crime again, but a recovered Dickinson broke up the pin attempt. Jeez tried to jump Dickinson but got lit up with multiple kick strikes instead. Ruckus interceded and paid for it, nearly getting pinned after a Dickinson Brain Eater. Dickinson set up some chairs and heaved Ruckus onto them with a running crucifix powerbomb that got a big reaction from the crowd, earning a “C-Z-W!” chant. Dickinson was fired up and just getting started. He leaned the barbed wire wrapped sheet of plywood in the corner. He picked up Ruckus, looking to execute another Pazuzu Bomb. The anxious crowd awaited the brutal spot but Ruckus slipped behind and got Chris up for The Deal and drove him through the wood and wire instead. Dickinson turned the tide and gave Ruckus a piledriver, setting up a Gacy Top Rope Splash. Jeez made the save and got in some offense on Joe. A sudden reversal saw Joe tombstone piledrive Jeez and go for another Top Rope Splash. This time, three was counted by referee. BLK Jeez was eliminated. With the leader of each faction gone, it was up to the soldiers to bring this one home. All were the worse for wear. A revived Joker attacked Gacy once more, giving him one hell of a beating but came out on the losing end of a light tube battle. Gacy brutalized Joker who shockingly kicked out after a Top Rope Splash. Joker scored a Magnitude Bomb through a table. Joker-plex against the cage for a near fall. The amount of punishment these two were dishing out was insane. Joker Driver for the finish but no! Dickinson with a chair shot and a cover. One-two-three. Joker was eliminated. Ruckus, last year’s CoD sole survivor, was facing the same odds here overcame back then. He put together an inspired string of offense sure to put his opponent away but The Dirty Daddy kicked out. Ruckus pulled out a bag of thumb tacks and poured them on the canvas. Dickinson reversed his attempt at a slam and dropped Ruckus on the tacks with a falcon arrow. Brain Eater by Dickinson and it was over. Ruckus was eliminated. The Front team was this year’s Cage of Death winner with Chris Dickinson putting in an animal performance, really getting him over for a possible push in the coming year. His partner Joe Gacy, who needed help exiting the cage, also impressed the CZW faithful. It was these two being cheered as Sozio tried taking credit with the crowd. As the losing team, BLKOUT is no more and the future of their individual places in the company is unknown. CZW Rankings- Danny Havoc
