Stellar showing by the Nation of Intoxication, winning all three of their individual matchups... My personal highlight was the return of the New Horror... Looking forward to a future encounter between Sami and the new CZW champion, Danny Havoc...
The CoD main event was truly awesome... Ruckus gave it everything he had, but Dickinson was on fire... Excellent show!

Pariah , cruefan68 - Back with some CZW action! January 16, 2016 R-Studio Queens, NY Tommaso Ciampa def. Chris Dickinson by pin Things did not start off well for Team CZW as one of their heavy hitters, Dickinson, was blitzed by The Sicilian Psychopath and quickly finished him with Project Ciampa. The Tier 1 home crowd voiced their approval. Milk Chocolate def. DJ Hyde & Drew Gulak by DQ CZW owner Hyde and company stalwart Gulak had to endure Milk Chocolate’s flamboyant song and dance performance before they could get down to the business at hand. Randy Summers out-hustled Hyde, stunning him with an enzuigiri. He tagged in Brandon Watts and, despite struggling with DJ’s bulk, executed their Powerbomb Backcracker finisher. Gulak made the save for his team. Hyde took Watts out to the floor and seized the advantage for his team and tagged in Gulak. Drew stretched Watts some before tossing him to the floor again. Hyde tried to get away with a chair smash on the outside but the ref caught it and disqualified the CZW team. “What are you doing?!” Gulak yelled at Hyde. John Silver def. Sunny Kiss by pin During his introduction, Silver flexed his impressive muscles. If this was meant to intimidate Sunny Kiss, it had the opposite effect as The Concrete Rose approached Silver and run his hands over his bicep, admiring his physique. John didn’t know how to take it, giving Sunny the opening he needed to get the advantage. Kiss ran circles around Silver, entertaining the crowd. However, it did not take long for Silver to overpower Sunny, getting a near fall with The The Spin Doctor. Sunny flustered John some more with his unique style of offense but Silver took charge again. Sunny survived The Spin Doctor a second time. The pair went back and forth some more. Silver took the fall with a deadlift German suplex, giving team CZW their first win of the night. Sozio def. Gran Akuma by pin CZW troublemaker, Sozio, tried to ruffle Akuma’s feathers but he remained placid and took his opponent to school. The veteran Akuma looked sharp and wiped the mat with Sozio for a while. A Tenchi Crash may have ended it it but Sozio landed with his feet under the ropes, preventing the pin. Akuma followed with a Yoshi Tonic, this time getting a near fall. Sozio made a strong comeback, getting a two count with Curtains. Sozio used The Yakuza Kick twice to put away Akuma. Team CZW tied things up 2-2. Lucky tHURTeen def. Darius Carter by pin Despite representing the home team, fans did not side with Carter but instead backed Lucky in this contest. It was obvious that Darius was not well liked by the Tier 1 fans. Aside from getting in some cheap shots once in a while, Darius got owned. Lucky’s lightning-quick offense was too much for “Wrestling’s Richest Prize”. A 360 corkscrew moonsault won Lucky the fall and the night for Team CZW. DJ Hyde came out and spoke to the crowd, gloating about the superiority of CZW. The fans booed and DJ was all smiles until “The Southern Stomper” Luke Hawx came out. Hawx was fired up, saying that it was bulls**t that he wasn’t on this show and that Tier 1 didn’t lose because no one beat him tonight. Hyde tried shutting Luke down and told him to blame Tier 1 management. Hawx didn’t like Hyde getting lippy with him and looked like he was about to get violent. Hyde begged off and offered to provide Luke an opponent. “Who? You?” Hawx demanded. DJ declined, then called out Matt Tremont. He told Matt that he was no longer part of the ring crew but if he wanted his spot back in CZW, he had to take out Hawx right now. Hawx got into the ring, telling them to bring it on. “Oh, and one more thing, Hawx,” Hyde interjected. “We’re doing this CZW style - Ultraviolent Rules!” ULTRAVIOLET RULESMatt Tremont def. Luke Hawx by stoppage This contest was violent from the get go. Hawx put a whipping on Tremont, who is no stranger to pain. Matt took the advantage after bashing Luke into the ring post. Tremont dropped the heavy lumber on Hawx, using his Uranage twice and a big frog splash from the top rope. As Luke lay on the mat, Tremont went to the back. After a few minutes, he came back out with a garbage can stocked with weapons. He pulled out a light tube and proceeded to heat butt Hawx with it, drawing blood on the former Tier 1 Champion. Matt crushed Hawx with two more frog splashes then went for his Sitout Powerbomb. Luke kicked out and Tremont couldn’t believe it. Matt used a second light tube on Hawx and went for another Sitout Powerbomb. Still only a two count and the fans were eating it up. Matt took Luke out to the floor. Hawx fired back, launching the garbage can at Tremont, leveling him. Back in the ring, Hawx got in some offense but his last ditch effort wasn’t enough. Tremont took down his depleted opponent and pummelled him with brutal crossface punches. The ref stepped in when Hawx became unresponsive. Tremont’s hand was raised and the appreciative fans started a CZW chant.

Really enjoying the action in this fed. I would imagine this is a fun departure from the string emphasis you put on story telling in your ROH fed.

Great to see CZW back! I have thought about doing something with CZW in my fed but it hasn't panned out thus far so I use the guys for guest spots in various territories. Great card.

Very cool that Hawx was able to hang with Tremont in a truly violent main event, despite losing in the end...
CZW and Tier 1 delivered some fun action in this joint offering... Here's hoping we see similar productions in the future... Nice work!

bookerbill - Yes, write ups with a lighter emphasis on story can be a nice change of pace. It's funny - most of my indy feds started out with that as the goal but then my muse takes over. LOL. cruefan68 - CZW has a bunch of fun cards and it's unfortunate to think a lot of people overlook them. Whether you use them as spot talent or as a territory in your fed, I'm sure you'll do them justice. Pariah - The Tremont/Hawx match was a lot of fun to roll up. And there will definitely be more CZW versus shows in the future. February 13, 2016 Flyers Skate Zone Voorhees, NJ Drew Gulak def. Matt Tremont by DQ Gulak used his grappling skill to frustrate Tremont enough to get him disqualified for brawling on the floor. DJ Hyde def. Greg Excellent by pin CZW owner, Hyde, gave Excellent a pounding and convincingly beat him with a Shadow Driver. Sozio def. Devon Moore by pin In a quick, rough and tumble match, Sozio pinned Moore after a double knee gutbuster. John Silver def. Alex Colon by pin Silver absorbed a lot of strikes from Colon before the match turned on a dime with Silver hitting The Spin Doctor for the out-of-nowhere win. Non-TitleOI4K def. Chris Dickinson & Joe Gacy by pin The Front duo of Gacy and Dickinson teamed against CZW World Tag-Team Champions, the Crist brothers, Jake and Dave. The champs made short work of Dickinson, bludgeoning him and finishing with an Irish Air Raid. Gacy struck the Crists from behind and Sozio joined his men in beating down the brothers. As The Front headed back up the aisle, Dave grabbed the mic and said that this wasn’t done. Sozio yelled that it was unless the titles were on the line, then laughed as he shepherded his guys through the curtain. CZW WIRED CHAMPIONSHIPShane Strickland(c) def. Lucky tHURTeen and A.R. FoxThree of the most exciting wrestlers in the Combat Zone clashed for the Wired title. Tag team partners, and frequent rivals, Fox and Strickland took center stage putting each other through their paces. Lucky got involved when Strickland hit a 450 Splash and was looking for the pin. Shane and Lucky traded counters until Fox jumped back in, wanting a piece of Lucky. Directing his attention back to the champion, Fox landed his own 450 Splash. Lucky broke up the pin with a 360 corkscrew moonsault. Lucky and Strickland went back and forth with Lucky getting a near fall with a Shining Wizard. Fox saved Strickland and got a two count on Lucky with a 450 Splash. The spot-fest continued with all three men getting their s**t in. Strickland retained after pinning Lucky with a 450 Splash. The crowd gave them a big applause as they shook hands afterward. CZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Danny Havoc(c) def. Sami Callihan by DQ Callihan returned to the Combat Zone at Cage of Death to put Havoc on notice that he was back for one reason - the CZW World title. The match quickly broke down into a brawl outside of the ring. The ref tried regaining control but Sami viciously shoved him to the ground. Callihan was disqualified and nobody was happy about it. The crowd voiced their displeasure. Danny told Sami that they would do it again next month at Proving Grounds. CZW Rankings- Danny Havoc

A technical finish during the main event title match between Havoc and Callihan?!?! UNACCEPTABLE! I can just imagine the crowd's reaction... Really looking forward to the rematch and hoping that some extreme rules are in place...
That Triple Threat was thrilling... Very cool that 'Killshot' was able to hold onto the belt... And I always enjoy seeing the Crist brothers in action...
Great stuff!

Pariah - Yes. A main event DQ between Havoc and Callihan is bogus. I have been weighing ideas on how to handle CZW style matches. Despite the common misconception, CZW does have rules just like regular wrestling. Because for the most part it is regular wrestling with the mandatory hardcore match or two. But the big matches usually get crazy. I think all matches like this in the future will be fought under Ultraviolent rules with DQs only coming from outside interference, etc. March 26, 2016 Flyers Skate Zone Voorhees, NJ MASADA def. Lucky tHURTeen by pin Lucky stepped into the Proving Grounds with “The Ultraviolent Beast” for a rematch from Night of Infamy where Lucky came out on top. To the surprise of some, this was a straightforward match that took place almost entirely between the ropes. Lucky came out like a ball of fire, hitting his opponent with some strong offense and getting a couple of two counts. In very MASADA-like fashion, he absorbed the damage and methodically began to pick his opponent apart. A sudden and impactful MASADAMIZER ended the match. Drew Gulak def. Greg Excellent by pin Gulak quickly took Excellent down to the mat to negate the bigger man’s size advantage. After unsuccessfully trying for a submission with a sharp shooter, Drew resorted to rougher tactics and got the pin after a wicked clothesline. Sozio def. Matt Tremont by pin Tremont entered the Proving Grounds looking to move up the card but Sozio didn’t get the memo. Matt survived The Yakuza Kick twice and Curtains only to fall to a double knee gutbuster in this one sided contest. DJ Hyde def. A.R. Fox by pin Fox took an unbelievable beating at the hands of “The Boss”, CZW owner Hyde. Powerbombs, Summoning Lariats, and Shadow Drivers destroyed Fox but he continued to kick out of pin attempts and even got in a couple of moves on offense as well. A third Shadow Driver was more than he could withstand and Hyde got the pin. CZW WIRED CHAMPIONSHIPShane Strickland(c) def. John Silver by pin Silver’s recent success in singles competition was rewarded with this Wired title shot. Strickland showed his dominance as champion once again as he hit Silver with a non-stop barrage of attacks from the top rope. Silver survived two straight 450 Splashes but got taken out by a missile dropkick. Alex Colon def. Devon Moore by pin This quick, hard hitting match saw Colon looking strong as he finished Moore with a Done Deal. CZW WORLD TAG-TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPOI4K(c) def. Chris Dickinson & Joe Gacy by pin On the last show, The Front team of Gacy and Dickinson were handily defeated by Jake and Dave Crist. They did not take the loss well as they attacked the brothers after the match, joined by their leader Sozio. The champions wanted pay back but they would only get the opportunity if they put their titles on the line this time. Jake and Chris started out with a much more competitive exchange than during their last outing. Jake’s strikes were outmatched by Dickinson’s power moves. Gacy tagged in to continue the punishment but Jake was able to tag out. Dave worked over Gacy then the Crists combined for Irish Coffee with Jake getting the pin on Joe. As the champs took their leave, Gacy and Dickinson started finger pointing, each trying to indicate the other for their lack of success. Sozio came to mediate. Despite the tensions being eased, it was clear that things were not entirely smoothed out between the two. Ultraviolent RulesCZW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Danny Havoc(c) def. Sami Callihan by pin With the disappointing finish to Callihan’s return match last month, Havoc insisted he be given a rematch for the world title - this time fought under Ultraviolent Rules. Sami came out of the opening brawl with a flash Stretch Muffler, trying for the early submission. Havoc wouldn’t go down that easy, nor after the full-on assault that Callihan followed with, including some strong style action on the floor. A veteran of the brutal deathmatch scene, Havoc weathered the storm and made his comeback. Total Havoc, two count. Total Havoc, three count. After taking a serious butt-kicking, Danny took it home fast and hard, this time with no controversy. Even though his return had been spoiled by the champion, Sami showed sportsmanship by extending his hand, which Danny humbly accepted. CZW Rankings- Danny Havoc

- John Silver
- Alex Colon

More great CZW action and Pariah brought up a good point about the DQ there and I like how you will handle it in the future. There should definitely be a little more rope given to the DQ rule in CZW. Good to see a Havoc-Callihan rematch and although I wanted to see Callihan win it credit Havoc for coming up big. I liked the post-match show of respect. OI4K and Shane Strickland are rolling right now which is cool to see.
