* After careful consideration, CZW management has decided to grant Matt Tremont a shot at the CZW World Heavyweight Championship at Proving Grounds. If he is disqualified, however, he will suffer the penalty he imposed on himself: a lifetime ban from the Combat Zone!
* Also, in a return match from High Stakes that awarded the winner with a CZW World Heavyweight title match, Shane Strickland and MASADA will collide once again. What could the future hold for the victor this time?

* Incensed that Matt Tremont was given a shot at the CZW World Heavyweight Championship over him, Adam Cole has demanded that CZW management award him a rematch at Proving Grounds. CZW management has reminded Cole that rematches aren't simply awarded automatically, & in order to challenge for the title that he lost at To Infinity, he must win a #1 contender's match against the man who beat the boss 2 weeks ago: Alex Colon!
* Drake Younger seems to have reversed his luck in the Combat Zone since stumbling earlier this year. At Proving Grounds, he'll take on former CZW Wired TV Champion, Greg Excellent! Can Younger go 3-0 in as many months?

DJ Hyde def Danny Havoc via Cyclone Slam
* After a brutal back-and-forth battle that sees Hyde squeak out a victory, DJ is handed a microphone & he thanks Havoc for the fight. Hyde reminds Combat Zone fans that Tournament of Death season is upon us, & with Havoc's consent, he wants to announce both of them as the first two entrants into the tournament. Havoc immediately agrees, much to the approval of the CZW fans!

* Jake Crist returns to the Combat Zone in impressive fashion, leaving a frustrated Gulak with another loss.

* Once again, Joker's presence at ringside gives too much of an advantage to his BLKOUT brethren. Afterwards, CZW owner DJ Hyde emerges from behind the curtain with a microphone. He informs BLKOUT that he has just received signed agreements back from their challengers for Prelude to Violence. In addition, ALL of BLKOUT will be in competition at Prelude to Violence, including Joker, who will actually be defending the CZW World Tag Team titles with BLK Jeez. BLKOUT doesn't appear to object to DJ's announcement until he reveals their next challengers: El Generico & Kevin Steen!
CZW World Heavyweight Championship Match
Matt Tremont def Caleb Konley {C} via SITOUT POWERBOMB
* As Tremont appears to have Konley beaten, Adam Cole, the new #1 contender for the CZW World Heavyweight title, rushes to ringside with a chair. He slides into the ring, & immediately targets Konley, apparently in an attempt to have Tremont disqualified. Tremont, however, intercepts Cole with a URANAGE. A downed Cole is left to watch Tremont rock Konley with a SITOUT POWERBOMB for the win. Cole, stunned at the outcome of the bout, realizes that he must face Tremont once again. This time, however, it's Tremont who holds the title!
CZW Ultraviolent Underground Championship Cage Match

* With outside interference negated, both Callihan & Fox can fully focus their attention on each other. Callihan's recent experience in ultraviolent contests, however, seems to give him the edge, & he borrows a page from Fox's playbook as he defends his title after a dive onto Fox from the top of the cage!

 * All championship bouts have been set for Prelude to Violence! New CZW World Heavyweight Champion Matt Tremont will defend the title against the former champion, Adam Cole, & Cole has stated that Mia Yim will be back in his corner in Dayton. Jake Crist has also earned a rematch against his former friend turned rival, Ultraviolent Underground champion Sami Callihan, & CZW World Tag Team Champions BLKOUT have a major challenge ahead of them as they must defend the titles against El Generico & Kevin Steen. In addition, we can confirm that shortly after Prelude to Violence, BLK Jeez & Joker will be leaving the US for a tour with Big Japan Pro Wrestling. Will they still have the tag team titles in their possession? * Also at Proving Grounds, CZW owner DJ Hyde announced himself & Danny Havoc as the first two entrants into this year's Tournament of Death. CZW management has since confirmed that two more competitors were offered spots in the tournament at To Infinity, & they have both accepted! * At Proving Grounds, CZW owner DJ Hyde decided that BLK Jeez & Joker would be the two members of BLKOUT to defend the CZW World Tag Team championship against El Generico & Kevin Steen at Prelude to Violence. Hyde wasted little time in assigning a match to BLKOUT member Ruckus, & Ruckus will compete against Drake Younger in Dayton! Younger has been on a tear through the Combat Zone over the past few months, & Ruckus will no doubt need to focus his attention on the Psycho Shooter.
* Alex Colon will also have his hands full at Prelude to Violence as he takes on Dave Crist. Hyde has now booked all members of BLKOUT for matches in Dayton in what could be an unforgettable send-off for BLK Jeez & Joker as they near their Japanese tour. The pieces are in place - will they represent the Combat Zone in Japan as CZW World Tag Team champions?

* After two unsuccessful attempts at winning the CZW Ultraviolent Underground Championship & losing in the finals of Best of the Best XIII, AR Fox is still committed to proving that he is, indeed, the best of the best. At Prelude to Violence, he looks to get back on track to validating that claim as he'll square off with Claudio Castagnoli!

* The fifth participant for Tournament of Death XIII is THE Ultraviolent Beast himself, MASADA!
* Another Tournament of Death participant, Danny Havoc, will be in action at Prelude to Violence when he takes on Robert Anthony. Anthony hasn't been seen in the Combat Zone in a few months & we'll see if he's used the time away from CZW to refocus himself. Havoc, however, will surely be looking for momentum going into TOD.

Loved the story going into Tremont's eventual title win and it should be a good match between him and Cole. Reads like some excellent hard-hitting action. The between card updates are a great idea and make fore easy jumping in to the lead up to a card. Look forward to more.
