Results of the "Saturday Night Special" at Rochester, NY Network televised special T.W.F. Tag-Team Champions The Megabucks (Ted Dibiase & Andre The Giant with Virgil) def. Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering). Great match which saw Hawk absorb an incredible amount of punishment from the champs. However, the challengers were able to dish it out to both Andre and Dibiase with Virgil saving the titles on one near pinfall off a DOOMSDAY DEVICE. One heated exchange saw Animal stun Andre but the giant used a big foot to the face and a double underhook to retain the belts. Great match as both teams brought their "A game".
Shann-Ra def. T.W.F. Ladies Champion Trish Stratus to win the title! Shann-Ra was ready and raring to go for this match while Trish never got in gear. A snap snare followed by a wicked neckbreaker set Stratus up for the Huntress Claw, that snatched the title for Shann-Ra. Trish was unconscious which led to a double team on her by Mother Superior and Shann-Ra. Luckily another former champion, Malia Hosaka broke up this alliance before any damage occurred. Strangely, the four women involved in the post-match activity are all former Ladies champions.
Bill Apter interviewed T.W.F. Champion Randy Savage and and manager April the Huntress. Savage was in rare form and stated that while people have asked for a November Pain rematch between himself and Magnum TA, he has no obligation for a challenger he defeated cleanly. Macho Man also mentioned that T.W.F. officials have already tried to lineup more challengers for his title so he and April are kept busy. Savage also mentioned that he understands why Magnum asked for a rematch to keep the action inside the ring, but that people forget that TA brought the action to the floor as well. April, who rarely speaks just nodded her head in agreement. Apter mentioned perhaps a Lumberjack Match would work. Savage responded that he will do whatever it takes as he is willing to sign if the money . . . and stipulations were right - Ohhhhh Yeah!!
A special vignette aired upon return from commercial. This piece featured manager Lou Albano training with fellow manager and broadcast journalist, Bobby Heenan. The two were doing free squats and then featured Albano holding Heenan's legs while Bobby climbed a set of stairs in wheelbarrow fashion. Bobby Heenan turned to the camera and said they are focusing on a "golden opportunity", and he announced he will take a hiatus from managing and broadcasting until that time! Albano nodded his head and said they have each used a special Sicilian recipe to help whip them into shape. The clip ended with a promise of more updates on the way as the weeks go by. Interesting....
Grudge Match - Pampero Firpo (with Eddie Fyne) DDQ with Dr. Death Steve Williams. These two fast rivals have really stepped up the pace. Firpo chased the ring announcer off before any introduction and attacked Williams viciously. Referee Morgan Dollar was not intimidated and was visibly frustrated with Firpo. Calling for quick counts on the break and even on a fast pinfall attempt from a Williams Backdrop Driver. A typical ending for these two, as the match went to the floor and wound up with both disqualified. The match ended with both choking each other with a cable used by the broadcast crew. Dollar called for the bell and asked from help in the back to break things up. The Patriot ran in along with Firpo's stable mate Claudio Castignoli to help stop the melee before things escalated even more. This drama lasted through the commercial.
Ricky Landell def. T.W.F. Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn, by DQ. Landell's second consecutive victory over the champ, albeit DQ again. This time Landell looked like he was trying to take Lynn's title belt back to the dressing room. Lynn stopped him and smacked Landell with the belt, forcing a DQ.
The broadcast wrapped up and that due to time constraints, the Claudio Castignoli versus Patriot match will air on the next episode of Pro Wrestling America. An added bonus is the Killer Bees versus Fantastics tag-team match. That broadcast will also feature a recap of some of the events from the Saturday Night Special, along with announcement of upcoming match-ups. Plus more information on the reasons that both Heenan and Albano are in training!
See you soon at ringside!

Non-televised matches. Lanny Poffo dominated Sam Houston, using multiple SKY DROPS to down the Texan. The ref was KO'd earlier due to a mid-air collision after Poffo used a Deathjump. Poffo continued the onslaught for the win.
Claudio Castignoli (with Eddie Fyne) def. The Patriot. Patriot used his power to take most of the match but the match took a huge turn when Eddie Fyne rang the bell after the Patriot used his PATRIOT MISSILE. Claudio capitalized and hit the NEUTRALIZER for the controversial win. This match and the following tag-team match will air on a future episode of Pro Wrestling America.
The Killer Bees def. The Fantastics, COR. The Fantastics won the first match between these two favorites at the Buffalo Megabucks Tag-Tournament, followed by the Bees eliminating the Fantastics at the November Pain Tag-Team Battle Royal. Bees controlled this match and after Blair used a BEE STING on Rogers, which resulted in Tommy to fall out of the ring. The Bees won by countout and were unaware that Rogers bumped his head on a guard rail before landing. Blair took the fall but showed concerned for the stunned Rogers.
Mr. Fuji (with Lou Albano) def. Magnum TA by DQ. Magnum was pumped for this match and that adrenaline cost him a win. The match wound up on the floor and both men grabbed weapons: Kendo Stick for Fuji and a chair for Magnum. Lou Albano saved the day though, and distracted the referee long enough for Fuji to drop the Kendo. This did not stop Magnum for smacking both with a chair, calling for the DQ.
Kendo Stick is Legal - Dutch Savage over Mr. Saito (with Mr. Fuji). Wild match as Savage preferred ringside brawling while Saito used the Kendo Stick at a 5-1 ratio. The raw-bone Dutch ground out a win though after slamming Saito's head into a ringside table and finished the job inside the ring with a big knee drop.
NOTES: A special tag-team match was signed in the near future as Dr. Death will team with Patriot to take on Eddie Fyne's team of Claudio Castignoli and Pampero Firpo. The fans would love to see Doc and Firpo go all out in a no-holds barred match but T.W.F. officials are concerned on the volatile nature of these two . . . In a switch, Light Heavyweight Champion Jerry Lynn has challenged Ricky Landell to a Ladder Match !! Lynn feels that since Landell likes to take his title belt, let's truly put it up for grabs . . . The Fantastics and Killer Bees have signed for a scientific, classic, best-of-3 falls tag-team match . . . Finally, a rematch between Randy Savage and Magnum TA may still happen, stay tuned for details.

Pro Wrestling America TV The broadcast included the bonus matches and interviews not shown on the recent Saturday Night Special broadcast: Lanny Poffo def. Sam Houston Claudio Castignoli def. Patriot in a controversial win. The Killer Bees def. The Fantastics, COR. Replay of Shann-Ra winning the ladies championship over Trish Stratus.
There was also a follow-up segment hosted by Bill Apter on the status of Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano.
This time the pair were finishing a set of jumping jacks in an empty arena. Special reporter Bill Apter asked them what is all this training is for. Heenan replied first "Do you remember I mentioned about a golden opportunity? Well for the past two months we have followed a special program. I consulted a special medical professional in Dusseldorf, Germany who recommended some time-proven methods which will increase our fitness. This approach and Lou's family special elixir are an unbeatable combination. Both of us need a break from weaseling the big matches from the T.W.F, we are tired of matching up the right partners and we both need to look out for number one."
Apter responded that you should do well in that regard and Heenan shot him a sneer. Apter then asked Albano about this special elixir. Albano noted "this potion is based on unborn virgin goats milk, distilled with special Sicilian hot springs water. A special combination of garlic, olive oil and the Albano family secret is added to this base to do the job." Heenan ended the interview "We have already received lucrative offers to market this program internationally, and we are the testimony for its results. However, we have planned a special press conference to demonstrate the next step of this endeavor. All the humanoids out there stay tuned."
Press conference?!?! See you at ringside.

I played my traditional "New Blood Tournament" which I dubbed Championship Wrestling Classic.
The winner was Buddy Rogers over T.W.F. tag-title co-holder Ted Dibiase but a few of highlights: Dibiase beat Duggan in the first round and was scheduled to face Nikolai Volkoff in the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Volkoff had to forfeit his match with Dibiase due to an injury suffered in his DQ win over Road Warrior Animal . . . In an unrelated note, Volkoff was seen shopping for a new vehicle the following day and also treated Iron Sheik to a lavish dinner and brand new ring garb. The unexpected cash windfall is timely as Volkoff is possibly out of action due to this injury. There is some speculation of what the source of the money was, but experts have ruled out that his purse earned from his quarterfinal exit as the source of the big payday.
My current T.W.F. Champion Randy Savage won his first round match in an awesome win over Superfly Snuka. The match was back and forth all the way until Snuka hit the Superfly. Savage kicked out with authority (roll of 12) but Snuka tried for another Superfly but missed! Savage, ever the opportunist, hit the FLYING ELBOW to win the match of the night . . . The win took its toll on Savage who dropped his quarterfinal to Rob Van Dam and his FIVE STAR SPLASH . . .Van Dam beat Savage and Brody in round one but fell to Dibiase in the semifinals .
Full Results Gorgeous George upset Lou Thesz, DQ
Harley Race def. Curt Hennig after two PILEDRIVERS.
Road Warrior Hawk def. Iron Sheik, after lifting his knee to the Sheik's turnbuckle charge followed by a gorilla press slam.
Buddy Rogers def. Bobo Brazil, DQ. Brazil, frustrated from nearly getting pinned using the ropes, was DQ'd for choking Rogers with a tag-team rope.
Ted Dibiase def. Hacksaw Duggan, great match between two old rivals. Dibiase used a power slam out of the blue followed by a KO with the COBRA CLUTCH. The Enormous Pierre and Dude Brohan got into a shoving match after Dude stopped a double-team on Duggan. Nikolai Volkoff DQ over Road Warrior Animal as their allies played a big role in the outcome: Hawk interfered to prevent Iron Sheik from doing so, but the referee only saw the infraction by Animal.
Rob Van Dam def. Bruiser Brody. Brody dominated but after hitting a brutal clothesline, he missed a turnbuckle charge. This miscue allowed RVD to get the flash pin off a cradle!
Macho Man def. Superfly in the match of the evening (see details above).
QUARTERFINALS Gorgeous George upset Harley Race, using two SPINNING TOE HOLDS sandwiched around ROLLING HIPLOCKS!
Buddy Rogers toughed out a win over Hawk. He stunned Hawk with a shoulder off the ropes and dropped on the FIGURE FOUR for the duke!
Ted Dibiase over Nikolai Volkoff by forfeit (injury). Dibiase was the only one in the ring during ring introductions as the announcement of Volkoff's forfeit was made.
RVD def. Randy Savage after a FIVE STAR SPLASH. Van Dam took a FLYING ELBOW, but the resilient RVD took control with his unorthodox offense to hit the splash for the win over the current T.W.F. Champion.
SEMIFINALS Buddy Rogers def. Gorgeous George with FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. George tried but did not get this third consecutive victory over a former world champion.
Ted Dibiase punched a ticket to the finals as a well-rested Million Dollar Man used his steady offense to beat Rob Van Dam with a power slam and COBRA CLUTCH sequence.
BONUS TAG-TEAM MATCH BuZZsaW and 80s Mania Champion LaZer def. Dude Brohan and Enormous Pierre when BuZZsaW used a clothesline into the turnbuckle to upset Dude. Fans were in stunned silence to see this Mega-Team lose.
CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING CLASSIC FINALS The introductions including the unveiling of a 4-foot trophy along with a giant check of prize money were on the line. Referee Morgan Dollar also announced that only Wrestling News Editor Bill Apter is allowed at ringside and ejected Dr. Mike Lano due to his association with Rogers.
Amid all the hoopla, Buddy Rogers was in rare form and Dibiase's luck ran out, as Rogers used a set of stunning Dropkicks to win the tournament.
Buddy Rogers says this is the first big step to regain the T.W.F. title as there is no denying his greatness with the wins he took in this tournament. He took on and beat all comers!

Very entertaining tournament... Congratulations to the Nature Boy - Can he build on this momentum and make it back to the top?
Really enjoyed the implied storyline begins Volkoff's forfeit to the Million Dollar Man - Highly creative... And the bonus 8MW tag match was a lot of fun...
Nice work!

Thanks Pariah,
Have a few things in the works and Dibiase is one of those cards where it is easy to fill in the blanks for.
My 8mw match was a "Promoter's Dream" match of sorts and like to add these once in awhile.

Pro Wrestling America TV
Matches broadcast from the show were from the recent Championship Wrestling Classic Tournament in Baltimore. Clips showing the finish of each first round match began the show in its first segment with only the classic Randy Savage and Jimmy Snuka match was in its entirety which was shown after a commercial break.
The third segment had the clips of the Quarterfinals with the entire announcement of Nikolai Volkoff's forfeit to Ted Dibiase as the fourth segment after commercial. An interesting result saw the return of former T.W.F. champ Rob Van Dam upset current T.W.F. kingpin Randy Savage in the surprise of the evening!
Before the show returned to the tournament, Bill Apter broadcast a special press conference from Phoenix, Arizona. The primary topic was that Phoenix was chosen as the host city for the upcoming annual King of the Hill event. The centerpiece of the event is the rumble-style King of the Hill match.
The announcement of the first two competitors for this match was also unveiled: Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano. Apparently they negotiated with the T.W.F which was done in tandem with their new business venture- BRAINCAP. The new enterprise is a sponsor for the event. The pair will represent a testimonial of this new fitness program.
Bobby Heenan announced they are taking bold strides in the physical fitness market with BRAINCAP's time-honored methods. While the exercise portion of this program seemed legit, members of the press questioned the special BRAINCAP nutritional supplement formula. One astute member of the press likened it to "glorified salad dressing." Heenan quickly replied that "If that is all it was, how could we charge $49.99 for the introductory offer along with the $14.99 monthly renewal fee?" A good question indeed.
Albano chimed in that "It is fitting this was announced during the holidays as most fans will become grateful once on this program, as it is an opportunity of a lifetime." Albano wrapped up the press conference stating "We will let the results speak for themselves during this event."
Bill Apter ended the segment with the announcement that next week additional bonus matches will get added to this card along with the announcement on some of the other wrestlers for the King of the Hill match.
The broadcast returned from commercial with extended highlights of the "final four" of the Baltimore tournament: Buddy Rogers over Gorgeous George, Ted Dibiase over Rob Van Dam along with Rogers win over Dibiase in the final. A brief in-ring interview with Buddy Rogers ended the show demonstrating Nature Boy's intent on regaining the T.W.F. Championship. This tournament was the first step of that journey.
NOTES: The next episode of Pro Wrestling America TV will feature the year in review with the revealing of the nominees for Wrestler of the Year, Tag-Team of the Year, Match of the Year and Fighting Spirit Award. All segments presented by the Wrestling News own Bill Apter. Each segment will have highlights of each nominee to recap the past year. Voting ballots were included in the recent issue of the Wrestling News and will get announced the week of King of the Hill. See you at ringside!

Year in Review Special Television episode of Pro Wrestling America with video packages on each nominee of the following awards. The voting will conclude before King of The Hill and announced during that weekend's events in Phoenix, Arizona.
The awards open for voting through ballots in the arena or the Wrestling News: Wrestler of the Year, Tag-Team of the Year, Match of the Year and Fighting Spirit Award.
First segment - Wrestler of the Year nominees: #1 - Nick Bockwinkel – TWF Champion through SuperBrawl, notable win over BlackJack Mulligan in a SlugFest match (brass knuckles rules). One of the longest reigns along with the most defenses in TWF History. Dropped Battle of the Belts Challenge in SuperBrawl to North American Champion Buddy Rogers which could hinder his chances to win the award. One of the more decorated grapplers in TWF history, Bock has won this award twice and won tag team of year as part of Worlds Finest Team with Harley Race. He has the nose for hardware.
#2 - Buddy Rogers – Unified the TWF title at SuperBrawl over Nick Bockwinkel as he brought the North American Title to the TWF. That match is a Match of the Year nominee. Also defeated former International Champion Jet Set Strutter at All America Clash at the DC baseball stadium. He did lose the TWF Championship to Bracket Buster tournament winner Mr. Saito but remains in the title picture: This TWF mainstay recently won a Champion Wrestling Classic tournament in Baltimore. Impressive feat, as the 16-man field was stacked and Rogers gained wins over Bobo Brazil (DQ), Road Warrior Hawk, Gorgeous George and Rob Van Dam. He has taken to call himself the "Champion of Champions" with that win and few can argue.
#3 - Mr. Saito – Won TWF Championship over Buddy Rogers after winning best-of-three Bracket Buster tournament final over Masked Superstar after overcoming a tough bracket. Defeated Rogers in rematch but lost title to Dutch Savage. Impressive in-ring work but may lose style points in voting.
Second Segment - Tag-Team of the Year Nominees: #1 - TWF Champions The Megabucks (Ted Dibiase and Andre The Giant) defended the titles throughout the year, unified North American titles in Best -of-Seven 4-0 sweep against Team USA. Defended title in Megabucks tournament challenge wins over Fantastics and co-winners of November Pain Megabucks challenge battle royal. That battle royal was also a match of the year candidate. This was a truly Mega-team and are considered the front-runners.
#2 - North American Tag-Team Champions Team USA (Patriot and Tony Atlas). Won titles from the Tolos Brothers and entered an exciting feud with TWF Champions The Megabucks.
#3 - National Champions Road Warriors had guest appearances with Magnum TA and feuded with Claudio Castignoli and Sheepherders. Returned to full-time TWF action to co-win November Pain battle royal against Megabucks (match of the year nominee). Have held TWF tag-team titles a record 5 times!
Still to come is the Match of the Year and Fighting Spirit Nominees.

Third Segment - Fighting Spirit Award nominees: #1 - Randy Savage – feuded with Pampero Firpo defeating him in a bloody cage match. Firpo appeared to attack the Macho Man after Savage's SuperBrawl victory. Regained the TWF championship in Buffalo, NY after knocking down many obstacles on the road back. Scored an inspiring victory over Magnum TA in a match of the year candidate in November Pain. Very popular with all fans and always a threat in any big match with his action oriented style.
#2 - Dutch Savage - former TWF champion but this was short-lived as he dropped belt to Randy Savage. Also won King of Hill Battle Royal but dropped the prized title shot in a match with Buddy Rogers. This raw-boned brawler never backed down from challenges and had a great hard-hitting series of matches against Dr. Death Steve Williams. Fans always stand behind the Dutchman.
#3 – Magnum TA – Another former champion and highly popular with the ladies. Other fans admire his never-say-die patriotism. Battled fellow favorite Randy Savage in November Pain event and nearly captured the TWF Title in the process. As noted, that match is one of three Match of Year candidates. Also gained revenge in his feud against Claudio Castignoli , but teamed with both the Fantastics and Road Warriors to face Claudio and The Sheepherders at various points to escalate the war. Magnum injured Claudio during the summer Chicago clash as payback for getting sidelined by Claudio earlier in the year.
Fourth Segment - King of the Hill special announcements: Besides Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano a few other names were announced for the 25-man field. Rob Van Dam, Gorgeous George, Harley Race, Lou Thesz and Bobo Brazil have signed from the TWF While Jet Set Strutter, Dude Brohan, Warhawk and Pelvis Pressly are signed from Mania wrestling! The field is about halfway set with more announcements to come.
Sean Mooney announced that a special “Clash of Champions” is signed as TWF Champion “Macho Man” Randy Savage tackles Championship Wrestling Classic winner “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers. The winner will take home the new All-World Championship belt to settle once and for all who the top man in the T.W.F truly is. Can Rogers win another dual title match like he did at SuperBrawl against Nick Bockwinkel or will Savage continue his inspiring title run? To add fuel to this fire, Rogers has requested all announcers to introduce him as "Champion of Champions." Savage is surprisingly silent for now.
Final Segments - Match of the Year Nominees clips, with finishes joined in progress: Nominee #1 TWF Champion Randy Savage (with April The Huntress) defended the title against Magnum TA from NOVEMBER PAIN. November Pain had the honor of having two Match of The Year candidates: the first was the tag-team battle royal and the second was this title match between two fan favorites.
While not heavily hyped due to the relatively short notice, it was a back and forth battle from bell to bell. Magnum started the match on fire and rocked Macho Man with TWO BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEXES. Savage avoided a three-count when April The Huntress pointed out (or some say slyly placed) Randy's foot on the bottom rope. In any case, the match continued as the champ got his second wind. He used his typical display of knee drops, ax handles and elbow smashes to stagger Magnum. There was one instance where he dove on Magnum onto the floor with his patented Flying Ax Handle!
Magnum looked in rough shape but smashed Savage in the gut after one particular flying ax. This move sent Savage to the floor, but Randy got enough of breather to take the battle at ringside lining up TA for a piledriver on the concrete! TA countered with a back body drop was still weakened and Savage used a rope snap to gain re-entry to the ring. This lead to consecutive Piledrivers to take the match. Each man was bloodied and battered with the Philly fans giving them a Standing Ovation!! Incredible action from these two warriors but we are left to wonder if any rematch is in the cards?
Nominee #2 Megabucks Inter-promotional Battle Royal Challenge. TWF Tag-Team Champions Megabucks entered the match with 9 other teams at NOVEMBER PAIN: From the TWF: The Fantastics, Killer Bees, Towers of Power (Warlord and One Man Gang), Masked Superstars along with the team of Scott Casey and Sam Houston.
From 80s Mania: The Super Powered team of Warhawk and HammerHead, The Masterminds along with the duo of Ace Arcadium and Mighty Leo.
Finally, making their TWF return were former TWF Tag-Team Champions The Road Warriors!!
Order of elimination... 1. Skullgore eliminated by Mighty Leo (Cobalt Commander eliminated as well) 2. One Man Gang eliminated by Animal as the Chicago street fighter attacked Animal while he was tussling with Gang's partner, Warlord. Animal will continue to show his savvy in this type of match. (Warlord out with the Gang) 3. Scott Casey eliminated by Andre The Giant. Andre squashed Casey with a BIG SPLASH and uncermoniously dumped him. (Sam Houston was eliminated with Casey) 4. HammerHead eliminated after getting flipped with a slam by Ace Arcadium. (Warhawk walked back in defeat with HammerHead). 5. Masked Superstar eliminated after missing a turnbuckle charge on Animal. The Road Warrior seemed to have eyes in the back of his head tonight. (Masked Superstars eliminated) 6. Tommy Rogers of the Fantastics was eliminated by Jim Brunzell after a DROPKICK. (Fantastics eliminated). 7. Jim Brunzell was promptly eliminated after immediately charging Animal into the turnbuckle, but Animal sidestepped to eliminate the Killer Bees. 8. Ace Arcadium was tossed over the ropes by Andre The Giant, ending the night for Ace and Mighty Leo.
The fans went wild as the last two teams were the TWF Tag-Team Champions The Megabucks versus a set of former titleholders, The Road Warriors! The teams felt each other out and for awhile it looked like a showdown between the the workhorses of this match: Animal eliminated three teams while Andre tossed two, but Dibiase jumped Animal quickly to gain an advantage. In an amazing finish (Battle Royal chart #12) both Dibiase and Animal went over the rope after Andre tried to assist Dibiase.
The referee announced the teams as co-winners and Dibiase claimed the Megabucks are still undefeated as a team. Animal and Hawk were irate and demanded the match to continue, but Dibiase said they had their chance and it went over the ropes with Animal, HAHAHAHAHA!!
Nominee #3 The Battle of the Belts" Title vs. Title, Champion vs. Champion from SUPERBRAWL (the only nominee not from November Pain)
North American Champion Buddy Rogers vs. TWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel (with Bobby Heenan). Wrestling News Photographer Mike Lano was at ringside to capture the action for the renowned magazine. Before the match a special challenge was broadcast from the big screen: JJ Dillon introduced the "International Champion" the Jet Set Strutter in a dramatic interview. The Strutter claimed himself the true champion and said he could beat the best SuperBrawl has to offer as the two champions in the ring were old news. Strutter was insulted that he was not invited to such a big event but Pro Wrestling America has not heard the last of him!
Rogers and Bockwinkel were somewhat confused by these antics but each kept their focus for the match on hand. The match itself was solid and each man had chances to nail down the dual titles. Rogers gained the advantage late in the match as the action spilled outside the ring. A wild brawl ensued and Mike Lano captured some classic photos of the action! This skirmish gave Rogers the slight edge he needed and captured Bockwinkel in the FIGURE FOUR. Bobby Heenan distracted the referee long enough to keep the match going but the leglock clearly weakened the champion's knees. Rogers caught a slowed-down Bockwinkel with an Atomic Drop and wrapped up the legs in double-cradle for the win. The Nature Boy captured the TWF title to go along with his North American belt! A stunned crowd was not expecting the longest reigning TWF titleholder to drop the belt! Lano continued to snap pictures of the new champion, which would likely make the latest edition of the Wrestling News.
Who will win the awards? Voting results announced during banquet prior to King Of Hill. The preview show includes that weekend's banquet, along with special match previews on that event.

Pro Wrestling America Road Show at Las Vegas, NV Stars of Mania Wrestling from the Casino Sports Arena
Tennis Pro scored an upset over the highly touted newcomer DangerZone, using a TENNIS RACKET SMASH
Warhawk def. Pelvis Pressly by DQ. The singing star got into trouble when the match turned to fisticuffs. This allowed Warhawk to use his hand-to-hand techniques but forced the use of Pressly's guitar. The instrument took the brunt of thee damage as it grazed the war hero mostly smashing the corner buckle.
Gladiator Brute def. BuzzsaW with the help of partner Massacre. Mania Champion LaZer seconded BuzzsaW but was roughed up after the match. The Gladiators jumped LaZer after the match injuring his upper back/shoulder in the process. Not a major injury, but LaZer favored the limb in the next match as . . .
Dark Invader def. Mania Champion LaZer to win the title! LaZer was sluggish early due to his injury on but kept in the match. Invader's size and strength were ultimately too much for the champion as he used the CORRUPTOR to capture the championship.
Jet Set Strutter def. Red Pirate Rogers in a battle of the ladies men. Jet Set used a double arm suplex followed by the SIX FIGURE LEGLOCK to notch the win. Rogers had a gutty debut as Strutter had to re-lock in his finisher.
Larry and Curt Hennig def. All-America Champions Hawk and Animal in a non-title match. Larry used an explosive Axe to setup for a picture-perfect HENNIG PLEX to pin Hawk. The Road Warriors have brought belts from another organization, but these are not yet recognized by the TWF.
NOTES: Big news from Vegas as Dark Invader wins the gold. BuzzsaW jawed with the new champion as his buddy LaZer felt the effects of the Gladiators team earlier attack. Interesting to see where this leads . . . The Hennigs notched a big win over former rivals the Road Warriors. There is also a promise of a big announcement on this result next week as a new era is ushered in for the TWF! So much excitement going on, what else can happen? Plus expect more on the Heenan/Albano situation Stay tuned and see you at ringside for the big announcement!
SPECIAL UPDATE: Bill Apter provided a special update with a livid Bobby Heenan and Lou Albano. Their anger was directed to the new entries to the King of the Hill. As part of the BRAINCAP sponsorship agreement and their early entry to the King of the Hill match, the duo claimed they also worked on signing international stars for the event.
Heenan stated he really extended himself and received verbal commitments from such Asian stars as “Japanese Sensation” Ricky Ataki and Lee Wong from Hong Kong. Heenan even claimed to bring in the “masked marvel himself”, Mr. X.
Albano then claimed he received several commitments as well from his trip from Europe: his signings included the “world-renowned” Mikel Scicluna, “Continental Noble Man” Joe Turco, “Portuguese Superstar” Sylvano Sousa, and the “Italian Sensation via Columbus Ohio”, Frankie Williams. Apter agreed that the duo have truly scoured the earth for these names. Albano shot Apter a sneer with that comment.
Each claimed they would bring their hand-picked top 10 opponents but cannot understand why the TWF rejected these entries. Many of the astute wrestling fans clearly understood this recruitment effort. Bill Apter signed off and thanked the TWF on preventing this prestigious match from having more tomato cans than a grocery store.
See you at ringside!
