Charm City Underground
Baltimore, Maryland
Episode #22 - Season 1
(At the ringside announce table sits Todd Grisham and the great and devious Ultramantis Black)
(M.W. Jergs steps to the ring to begin the show.)
MWJ: Ladies and gentlemen let me first apologize for standing before you tonight. But I assure you that what I have to say is important. First I must tell you that received many calls, e-mails and text messages from the members of The Elite and Jim Cornette's Gentleman's Club. All season long these men have been engaged in a bitter struggle for domination over the other without a clear winner being determined. So with that in mind I'd like to announce the Main Event for "ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY". It will be The Young Bucks and Adam Cole to face off against Drew Gulak, Chuck Taylor and Biff Busick in a Six Man encounter inside a STEEL CAGE! The losers will be removed from the Charm City roster for the next season. Jim Cornette will be placed under guard in the locker room and if his team is defeated he will also be unable to appear in Charm City Underground for next season as well.
Now let's start this pro wrestling show with an important Fatal Four Way to determine who will get a CCU Heavyweight Title Match against the new champion Moose next week! Enjoy the program.
-Fatal Four Way- Winner gets a CCU title shot-
1)"Magnum" Joey Ryan (w/ Veda Scott) defeated Masada, Sami Callihan, & Zack Sabre Jr. when Ryan pinned Callihan with WALK OFF @ 13:15.
-A wild four way match-up here as all four knew what was at stake. Sabre was the crowd favorite but he came up short again as Masada cut him off from closing out Callihan. Ryan the stepped in hitting a Pedigree and then a Walk-Off kick for the win and the title shot next week.
-Backstage-
(Jeremy Borash is with Veda Scott and a weakened Joey Ryan.)
JB: I must say that I'm a bit shocked. Joey Ryan you will get the first title shot against new champion Moose at "ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY".
VS: Shocked? Seriously don't be dense Jeremy. Joey Ryan is still as usual the smartest man in the ring and he used that superior intelligence to step ahead of the pack and claim what was his.
JB: It's not too early to think strategy and you do have some history with the new champion Moose. Your thoughts on how to take him down.
VS: It will be easy just look back at this season and you'll see that Moose is simply too slow upstairs to match my client.
(Moose is out with Stokley Hathaway who has the CCU Heavyweight title slung over his shoulder.)
SH: Ah ah ah. How on earth could you possibly underestimate the champ? How could your brush aside that fact that this man last week just beat Adam Cole who had run all over the contenders to championship dominance, that is until he faced Moose in a fair fight. But do what you feel because next week you will see what Stokley and Moose can do together. The possibilities are limitless.
2) Inner City Machine Guns (Ricochet & Rich Swann) Fought War Machine (Hason & Raymond Rowe) to a DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION @ 6:55.
-Before the match Rich Swann took the mic and announced that he was fully behind in partner's new attitude and that he was sure it would take the Inner City Machine Guns to the top. The crowd jeered in response as their opponents hit the ring. The match soon spilled to the outside and Ricochet swung a chair that landed on Rowe's skull while Hanson tossed Swann into the guardrails. The ref lost all control and called for the bell to end this one.
-Backstage-
(Jeremy Borash is in the locker room area.)
JB: Fans as you can tell things are heating up and taking shape for "ONE NIGHT IN THE CITY". My next guest is someone that I didn't expect to see here this week and that's Cedric Alexander. Didn't you quit?
CA: Yes I did. I was frustrated. But as with many problems it's often a good idea to step back and look at the big picture. I know what I can do and I want to prove it here in The Pit. So I want to let everyone know that I have an open contract, if you will have me for "ONE NIGHT". I'm ready to move forward on my own.
-VIDEO PACKAGE-
(The Elite - Adam Cole and The Young Bucks)
AC: This has been a long time coming. And Jim Cornette I hold you personally responsible. Your jealousy of us has led you to where everything is as of right now. Gulak, Taylor, and Busick aren't without blame because you have willingly followed this out of touch fossil into your own demise. We should be holding the gold here since we are the best the sport has to offer but through the manipulations of James E. Cornette that is not the case right now. So we will take it upon ourselves to rid Charm City of all of you once and for all!
3) "Aerial Assassin" Will Ospreay beat "Villain" Marty Scurll by DISQUALIFICATION @ 7:15.
-Ospreay was out quickly hitting a variety of high impact moves. He missed a moonsault to the outside and Scurll took over. Back inside he hit a jacknife power bomb for a two count. A whip reversal led to a leg lariat and then a Standing shooting star. Ospreay set up the Essex Destroyer but couldn't get the three because Ricochet and Rich Swann hit the ring and started pounding away on Ospreay. Ref had no choice to ring the bell. Soon after War Machine joined the fray as well as Zack Sabre Jr. Scurll tried to coax Sabre jr. to help him but instead caught a Rolling Elbow and was locked in the Cross Armbreaker in center ring. Ring officials were sent out to clear the ring.
-Backstage-
(Jeremy Borash is with the new CCU Tag Team Champions - Forever Hooligans!)
JB: Gentlemen congratulations on your title victory last week. You said that you both felt vindicated after finally getting your shot.
AK: Никто когда-либо не давал нам возможность. Теперь мы являемся лучшими! Мы - чемпионы! Никто не будет когда-либо убирать их. Никто.
JB: Um English please?
RR: Hey my man talks how he wants to. Just like we beat who we want to. It took long enough but finally we got a title shot and what happened. We have the gold. We have the gold. It doesn't matter who it is line them up for "ONE NIGHT" next week and we will set them down.

(Jim Cornette stands alone)
JC: I've been in the wrestling business for forty years. I've bleed. I've paid more dues than you three combined ever will and above all I've always respected the business that put food on my table and satisfaction in my soul. And that's the point you will never, ever get. You have no idea why I've grown to hate you all so much. It's not because I'm an old man yelling at clouds. It's not because I'm no longer important on the wrestling scene. It's because I love wrestling and I honor its tradition while you piss all over it and make money while doing so. It is my job to not only educate you but to now eliminate you. I know that the Gentleman's Club and I have had some rocky times as of late. But they do think like me. They love wrestling too and it is through those in the new generation that real wrestling will thrive. It has to - it must! I will defend it until my last breath.
