CARD 1185 – RUINS OF ANTILIA: More dark rumblings in the distant landscape of Antilias cause what few fans in attendance to immediately leave. Fearing more awakenings. Only a few stragglers left by the time of the main event. Scientists later say they were just natural weather patterns and to keep calm. However such panic is understandable. What other past historical rulers could show up or worse still maybe long deceased armies belonging to Murdok. Bloodline grabs a huge win over Paragon. Both guys with similar ambitions to be the main man on their respective teams. Bloodline had a big chance to make a splash at OTB but didn’t qualify. Paragon, on the other hand, had a good run and grasped the opportunity and now he’s even got a chance to win the Heavyweight belt later this month. For now he’s having to take care of feud business. Although he frustrates Johnny Rocket by his careful approach. Obviously trying to save himself for that match with Thunder. Although Johnny does cheer up a bit when Paragon managed to bump the heads of Bloodline and Thantos together during an interference attempt. Despite the careful approach Paragon is able to work himself up to using FINAL OVERTURE and with Thantos recently laid out there is nothing to save Bloodline. Remarkably Bloodline withstands it and then forces a release by jabbing two fingers in the eyes of Paragon. After that Paragon seems to lose heart. Bloodline grows in stature and his CETUS MASTERLOCK does a good job of wearing Paragon down. If Paragon cannot move too well then he’s less likely to be able to get out the way of BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG. Bloodline hits him with the move a couple of times. Neither of which are the most devastating of impacts but the second one secures the win.
Disorder X upsets Malice and Overkill. Two teams in the doldrums for different reasons. The Gladiators is purely results based whilst Disorder X continue not to get along and are on the verge of being booted off Team CPC. If that happens they’ll find it very difficult to connect up with another team and could be left out on their own. Thantos doesn’t even bother to accompany them for this one leaving them at the full mercy of the Gladiators should things get a bit sinister. Surprisingly they cope just fine and fashion an upset victory. They even got Total Disorder right to completely rattle Overkill. Mace then came in and used W.A.R. Gun to finish the big man off. Brute made a weak distracting attempt which failed and Overkill tried to push Mace off rather than kick out properly. The power of Mace meant it wasn’t successful and it gave Disorder X the win. Probably considered an upset although the Gladiators are looking well below being a top tag team these days. Cutting Edge over the Hellions by DQ. Another mixture of women and men that was booked long before Commissioner Morpheus pulled the plug. Plenty of reason for Blade to take this on. The Hellions may be unconnected with Brymstone Burning but they are Brymstonians and we all know how he feels about that race. Amazonia looked a bit cheesed off though. She doesn’t want to be fighting women even if they are dangerous ones like Hunger and Serpentine. Anyway it’s not a great match to roll. No real rhythm and a doing my head in a bit with tracking the conversions whenever Blade is in the ring. He is probably the weakest link as he endures a tough time against Serpentine and ends up requiring a hot tag to bail him out. He does fare better in his second long stint and injures Serpentine with his Centaurus Leg Lock. Serpentine managed to drag herself under the ropes after he’d released. Amazonia tried to push her back into the ring causing a reaction from both Hellions to attack her with chairs. Blade goes to her defence but also goes down under the chair blows. Incredibly it’s Lorelei to the rescue as she shows her potential wrestling prowess by coming up behind both Hellions and flooring them with drop kicks. Euritar beat the Soulwatcher in a squash. It’s taken a long while for Euritar to recover from his GALACTICON loss to the Code Enforcer. The wounds may of healed but mentally it took a toll. So he took an extra month off. Even if it meant missing OTB (although he probably wouldn’t of qualified anyway). He wanted a light workload for this return and requested a low ranking opponent. Bit insulting but the booker reached out to the Soulwatcher. Although maybe it was the right opponent as the Soulwatcher was squashed in little over a minute. Euritar looked really hungry and used a Scorpius Suicide Kick to setup the victory. Ms. Liberty beats US. Traitor by DQ. How could this happen? Ms. Liberty was fully consenting but surely the GWFC (or more specifically the Commissioner) should of stopped this. Such an emotional match for her. Not sure why she agreed to it. Traitor relishes the moment and the first thing he does is grab her by the hair and slap her. Ms. Liberty retaliates with a kick to the nether regions that draws a cheer. That allows her to get a few shots in but Traitor inevitably recovers and she’s got nowhere enough power or ability to deal with him. Traitor looked set to beat her after TURNCOAT FLYER only to cover and then pull her up at the last moment to prolong the punishment. He played a dangerous game though not finishing things off as every now and then Ms. Liberty got a move in and threatened to embarrass him. Eventually he tosses her outside to where Mangus is so he might brand her even though the match hadn’t been won. By Mangus manhandling her it draws the DQ but it’s clear Traitor doesn’t care about that. Commando Sam was at his wits end seeing this and sets a clever decoy to distract Mangus so he can not only help Ms. Liberty but also get at US. Traitor. He throws a fake grenade next to Mangus who sees this and flees. Sam then charges at the confused Traitor with pole of the American flag extended and connects. Traitor was knocked virtually unconscious. Sam then scoops Ms. Liberty up and carries her away to safety. Nora Pelf stuns Rouser to win in one move. In what is likely to be Rouser’s last match against a woman it ends in mega embarrassment for him 🥳. Fastest match ever. Over in 4 seconds. He jumped the bell slightly and tried to rush at Nora. She was stood right in front of one of the turnbuckles. She manages to react to Johnny Rocket warning her “watch out” and moves. Rouser rebounds right off the turnbuckle and Nora gets him with a schoolboy to get the pin. Rouser angrily grabs his sign and tries to whack the celebrating Nora with it. Luckily Johnny Rocket also saw this and bravely rugby tackled him to the ground and held him there til security could step in. Nora Pelf was later interviewed and was in floods of tears as recalls that close shave in the dark alley of Centrapolis and how this was perfect revenge. Of course Rouser still denies that was him to this day.

CARD 1186 – TERRONAUT TOWERS:
Titan Attack defeated Twin Blood to become the new tag champions. Another chance for Titan Attack to finally prove they can beat Twin Blood. Lord Nexus had suggested to Johnny Rocket that managers stay away from ringside for a pure match. Johnny refused to accept these terms though. I suppose with Twin Blood trying reach 100 cards as tag champs it’s understandable. This defence marks the 83rd card of their current reign. Things started at a frantic pace and maintained right to the very end. The conditioning of all these guys is so good that it wasn’t a problem for them. There wasn’t a huge amount to say about the match as a lot of defensive tags meant there weren’t too many pin attempts. So fast forward to the end where Ursa Major and Sleeze were having a great contest. Ursa Major then catches Sleeze with his TITAN VICTORY ROLL. Nobody was expecting it to end on that. Clearly Johnny Rocket and Dreggs didn’t as neither made any moves to break the pin up. It was so well executed though that Ursa Major gets the three count. He immediately jumps up and celebrates this unexpected moment. Twin Blood looks a bit shellshocked. They don’t really want to hang around but try to be sporting by briefly clapping Titan Attack as they exit the ring. Once again DM on commentary leaves his station to congratulate his old teammates. It’s been a magical last couple of weeks for the Titan team with this title win and Rising Sun winning the singles OTB bracket. The Code Enforcer pummelled Dark Justice. Finally someone high profile for Dark Justice to get his teeth into. Given his past links with Commando Sam it’s got some backstory. The Code Enforcer was cruelly forced out the Heavyweight belt picture a while ago and is trying to work his way back into it. Winning this match wouldn’t hurt. Although recent tag teaming with Archon and another tag match in a couple weeks time might suggest Commando Sam has other plans. Possibly involving Lance At-Las. Anyway the Code Enforcer didn’t do his future standing any harm as he dominates this match and doesn’t take too long to put Justice away after an Enforcer DDT. Skinhead heaps more misery onto Pegasus. A rivalry that’s been stirring for a while. Skinhead has harboured resentment over the way Pegasus demanded a shot at the Heavyweight belt straight after GALACTICON and trod all over his toes causing him to fall out of favour on his team too. Skinhead rages “that pr*ck was the catalyst”. It drives him on to wrestle a great match. Both managers were called into action during its course to prevent their guys evenings ending early after the finishers. It ensured an action packed match length that would be about 4* on the scale. Skinhead eventually prevailed as he rattled with BRASS NUCKS for a second time. He was a deserving winner. He also got a big cheer when he threatened to give Reynard B. Guile the same treatment. The snivelling manager couldn’t get out of town quick enough leaving Pegasus to fend for himself. Pegasus was pretty much knocked out and needed smelling salts to help get him up. To add amusement Pegasus also lost a tooth. Rankor pinned Trench. Remember that Trench beat Aegis a couple of months ago. Another win here would send him high in the rankings. He was up against Rankor who was having a rare singles outing. Rankor opted to have the imposing figure of Warfare as his ringside companion instead of Ventross or Phantast. Maybe a sign he’s ready to work with other teammates at long last. Although probably done more for self gain as he knew Warfare would unsettle Trench more. It must have had an effect as Trench inexplicably stumbled despite Rankor having no singles finishers. Rankor managed to clamp on a front face DDT and it was forceful enough to get Trench pinned. Archon over Draconian Sheik by DQ. Go back a year and this would be a nightmarish match for Archon. Not anymore. He has upped his hardcore game. Really comes alive when he sees the Terrorists at ringside. He shouts out “a war is what you want, then you got it”. Archon’s also got Commando Sam to watch them. Sam is actually armed with a mustard spray to keep them at bay. Archon overcomes a wobbly start and a brief stint in DRACONIAN BACKBREAKER to dominate. As he starts to work over Drac with his submission moves the Terrorists get twitchy. When Drac is caught in ELBOW HYPEREXTENSION they decide to act. One sacrifices himself to Sam’s mustard spray but the other one makes it into the ring and chokes Archon from behind with a whip. It’s an instant DQ. Archon looked in peril but Sam had managed to deal with the other Terrorist and made it into the ring to prevent serious damage with the spray forcing the other Terrorist to back off. Drac showed his lack of intelligence by lunging at Sam and getting a face full. He was screaming and going wild for several minutes after this. The Terrorists had great trouble in bringing him under control. Society of Death crushed Transformer. Sort of match that should have DDQ written all over it but unbelievably it’s done and dusted in 4 moves. Amounted to little over a minute. Mutant was like a thing possessed and wildly attacked Monad. Even with four arms Monad couldn’t fend it off and seemed to submit far too easily to TEMPLE GRINDER. It just summed Transformer up. They are a monstrous team that can do untold damage but they can also be awful.

CARD 1187 – CENTRA PALLADIUM: Lance At-Las beats Painmaster to become the new Centra champion. Lance’s concentration got seriously disrupted moments before his curtain call as he receives a video message from Commander Sam played on the chest of a backstage droid. Couldn’t hear it all but basically seemed to be pleading him to return to FDF duties with promises of elevated privileges and status. The ball was in his court now. Although not something he needed on his mind as he was heading into his biggest match in years. Somehow he managed to get over this massive distraction to pull off a popular win and take the belt. His first title of any kind in almost 15 years. He might have Johnny Rocket to thank a little because his earlier altercation with Rouser took him out of the equation. For sure he might of disrupted Lance when trying to finish with MARS MANHANDLER. He fully deserved this win and was the better wrestler on the night. Ladies champ, Anaxis, beats Amazonia by DQ. Winning the ladies belt will be scant consolation for Amazonia after her hopes of competing for men’s belts and trophies were crushed. She fully unloads all her rage onto Anaxis. Too much as it turns out as she triggers a wild brawl outside the ring and in using her shield falls foul of the referee. Lorelei has offered to appear at ringside with Amazonia more often going forwards to help with key distractions. Her attitude is “everyone does it so why shouldn’t we”. Unfortunately it’s a bit like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted as the loss has done a lot of damage to Amazonia’s ranking. She’ll have to work quite hard to get a title shot again. Wolf destroyed Splatter in a Nightmare Matrix match. Splatter steps into this weird match with a heavy dose of caution. It’s not surprising though that he was up for satisfying Wolf’s desire to wrestle another one of these. Splatter and Wolf are the usual culprits when it comes to hardcore action. Not that the Matrix fits that bill. It’s more of a psychological affair. Although it doesn’t even get a chance to start casting its nightmares as Wolf wins it so quickly. Splatter just wasn’t at all ready for him and was beaten in 5 moves. In that time finding himself trapped in SAVAGE FACE CLAW twice. Guess that’s one way to beat the matrix is try and get it done before it warms up. Titan Attack strolling against Animen Invasion in a non-title match. After the immense publicity and pressure surrounding their last matches Titan Attack looks relieved to have a much lower key match. It was already planned before they’d won the tag belts so it’s non-title. No way Animen Invasion would ever be good enough to earn a shot anyway. Not unless they pull off a huge upset here. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen 🙏. Quickly becomes clear there is no danger of the Titans stumbling. They are so in sync and give their Animen opponents zero chance. First Antak is given a wrestling lesson. Then when he manages a defensive tag it’s Son of Ram’s turn to get it from all angles. Scion Nexus then causally covers him after THE RISE AND FALL. They give the fans a good look at the belts afterwards and sign autographs. That gets cut short by Krakan speaking over the tannoys. The Titans search for him and see him stood on a stand towards the back of the venue. He makes it known that even though Titan Attack are now the champs they are still scum and publicly challenges them to put their belts on the line against the Society of Death. With a recent dominant win over Transformer and several dark show victories this might not be beyond the realms of possibility.
Desolation Factor overpowered Pegasus and Euritar. On paper Pegasus and Euritar could be an outstanding tag team. However they don’t click at all. Instead they both want to run the show. Reynard B. Guile despairs. Instead of plugging their credentials as a team he is having to come in as arbitrator to stop them coming to blows after they lose here. Euritar made a good start and very nearly defeated Rack early doors after HEADS WILL ROLL. Pegasus then got tagged in and never tagged back out. He ended up doing too much and coming to grief as he got beaten by RACKED AND RUINED. He just won’t accept that his star has fallen and he’s got a much better chance of wearing gold again if he lowers expectations to the Centra belt or even tries his hand at tag teaming and works together with a partner instead of hogging the spotlight. Rouser narrowly defeated Johnny Rocket. Rouser’s brain is just not engaged. He insults the crowd when they tease him over his recent one move loss to Nora Pelf. Then he riles Johnny by insulting Nora Pelf’s looks which just makes him wrestle even harder than he already would have done. Johnny almost manages to win as a result which given his wrestling stats would have been an upset. Eventually Rouser draws even more heat by resorting to SMASH WITH SIGN to win. However as he hotdogs in the ring afterwards Johnny recovers and nails him from behind. Johnny repeatedly smashes his trademark mic down on Rouser. Nora Pelf, watching from the back, realises this might go too far and rushes out to shout out “enough, he’s an idiot”. Johnny is still very angry as he leaves the carcass of Rouser behind and whispers to hear “this ain’t just gonna blow over, the man is scum”. I guess Johnny’s anger over all this hasn’t been helped by Twin Blood losing the tag belts last week. He’s bound to be in a foul mood.

CARD 1188 – PUNISHMENT ON PRIMUS – LAVA PITS OF PRIMUS: Heavyweight champ, Thunder, loses to Paragon by DQ. A big chance for Paragon to get his name back up in lights after falling out the main event picture for a while. He was very confident after beating Thunder at ONLY THE BEST. There was some early twitching of the ring curtain and everyone thought a lottery attack might be happening but it proves to be a false alarm. The movement was possibly down to Gladiators poised for a gang attack especially given that Spike, Mayhem and Vengeance had all just wrestled. Or could have just been as innocent as backstage staff disturbing the curtains. Anyway whoever they were didn’t get a chance to reveal themselves. In a deeply disappointing match up Brute uses the first opportunity to attack Paragon outside of the ring. Sent Johnny Rocket flying in the process. Paragon got smashed into a ring post by Brute. He was then joined by Thunder and together they slammed him powerfully into a table breaking it in two. Obviously a disqualification. The Gladiators choose not to prolong the attack and leave any lasting damage on Paragon. Thunder disturbs his face paint as he grins on seeing Paragon laid out. He then taunts “consider that a warning shot”. Paragon later fumes at the tactics and calls Thunder a coward for relying on the other Gladiators to keep saving him. Vengeance downed Rising Sun in a Lava Pit match. After his OTB heroics Rising Sun has been promised serious consideration for a Heavyweight title shot if he can defeat Vengeance in this dangerous Lava Pit match. There is still a dependency on what happens later between Thunder and Paragon. Unfortunately after all those steps forward he takes a step back here as he loses comprehensively to Vengeance. Although Rising’s quickness should have been a benefit in the pit setting he just never got to grips with the hardcore nature of it. Vengeance slowed him down early with a Gladiator Piledriver onto some rocks. He didn’t take long to press home the advantage with HELTER SKELTER. Despite some primitives close by Vengeance was then able to negotiate the pit wall to escape.
Spike and Mayhem over Twin Blood by DQ. First match for Twin Blood since dropping the belts. A very different test undertaken to the one posed by Titan Attack. To be honest they might get a tougher match against these two than they would the regular team of Malice and Overkill who have been struggling. The Gladiator pair rely on using brute strength to deal with amazing synchronisty of Twin Blood. Neither team was really getting the better things by the time of the abrupt ending. Dreggs started brawling with Spike. He noticed the Aethran Casque was within reach and decided it would be fun to give the Gladiators some of their own treatment. I suppose the old feud between WAR and the Gladiators spurred him on. Unfortunately it cost his team the match and having just lost the tag belts it’s not really what they needed. Archon and Code Enforcer overcome Blazing Skull and Wolf. Just weeks after almost killing each other in a Lava Pit match Wolf and Blazing Skull are now teaming. Despite promises of causing their opponents immense suffering and pain they slip up. Archon managed to pin his old enemy Blazing Skull after THE RIOT ACT. Wolf snarled at Blazing as they left the ring area. He’s probably already planning to jump ship at the end of the year. Maybe he’ll return to the hero team. The truth is he could end up anywhere. He’s that unpredictable. Draconian Sheik against Terminus ends double DQ. The Terrorists always provide an element of danger. However they seem strangely respecting of Thantos and keep hands off apart from the Terrorist attack roll and standard distractions. They needed these as Drac almost lost very quick after HAMMERLOCK SLAM twice. After this Drac managed to get into the match and did some damage with his sharp object. Eventually things descended into an out of ring brawl. Thantos and the Terrorists just let them duke it out. However the ref was less accommodating and called the DDQ. Prodigy over Enigma by DQ. Enigma is certainly dazzling to watch but maybe too much of a thrill seeker. After an entertaining few minutes of grappling Enigma throws Prodigy outside. Prodigy is bashed his head and was slumped over the crowd barrier. Enigma mounts the turnbuckle and looks set for a kamikaze dive which might threaten the safety of the crowd. The referee warns him not to do it. Enigma ignore him and flies through the air. Mercifully nobody is hurt as he and Prodigy go over the barrier and into the first row. The angry ref doesn’t even lay a count on. He signals for the bell and disqualified Enigma for such disrespect. Johnny Rocket goes ape over the decision which in turns annoys Thantos who threatens to snap Johnny’s scrawny leg in his MASTERLOCK if he doesn’t pipe down.
Blade uses his quickness to beat Mike Fortune. Intense promo from Mike Fortune who warned this was going to be a bloody battle 🩸 and pats his rifle. Blade shows no fear though. He has been working very hard not to get lost in the shuffle. He is very much in Genocide’s shadow on the Centaurians team despite his mothers best efforts. Sometimes she’s over protective though and needs to let him loose. There’s no doubt Blade has talent in abundance but he needed to get dirty here to cope with a brawler like Mike Fortune. He did himself proud here. After a brutal opening Blade managed to play possum on a deathjump. Gets out the way in nick of time and Fortune’s whole body was stunned enabling Blade to quickly cover him and steal a pin. Supernova finally beats Sniper. Rumour is that before Commissioner Morpheus put an end to male versus female matches Bloodline was trying to challenge Supernova. Desperately wanting to knock his ‘PITA sister’ about. Supernova refuses to discuss and insists she is 💯 focused on women’s wrestling. Hoping tonight might be the start of her returning to the top. It would be tough as Sniper is ready and willing to win the belt again after what she describes as a nice break from the responsibilities of being a champion. With that in mind Sniper wrestles with great intensity and is Supernova was struggling. Sniper was constantly taking shots with TARGET PRACTICE. Seemingly just a matter of time until Supernova would be beaten as she carried the weight of 5 fatigue tokens. Then came a sudden turnaround. It was like the old Supernova as she rocked Sniper with a huge comeback that culminated in SPEED OF LIGHT to win. It would take forever to check but I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t the first time Supernova has ever beaten Sniper and I reckon they must of wrestled each other about a dozen times in the past.

GWFC REPORT (THE END 2111 CARDS 1185 – 1188)
Champions
*GWFC Heavyweight Champ: Thunder (Top Contender: Paragon) *GWFC Tag Champs: Titan Attack (Top Contenders: Society of Death) *GWFC Centra Champ: Lance At-Las (Top Contender: Draconian Sheik/Bloodline) *GWFC Ladies Champ: Anaxis (Top Contender: Nora Pelf) Latest News: Nora Pelf makes history by winning the fastest match ever! Rouser tried to jump her before the bell and ended up being done by a school boy after hitting the buckle. Perfect revenge but Johnny Rocket won’t let his beef with Rouser slide. Despite just losing to Rouser he managed to mash him up afterwards for more revenge. Yet he wants one more match with him before the year is up. Maybe I’ll make it a cage match or something like that to add to the fun. Rouser isn’t so keen this time round and declares on Centra Spacebook “Nora Pelf means nothing to me, I wouldn’t go near here, she’s got a face like an arse”. Within the hour he had deleted that last comment. Too late though, Johnny saw it.
Twin Blood’s record breaking tag team title reign finally ends ☹️. At 83 cards it’s not the longest ever as that still belongs to the Matador of M83 who once clocked 94 cards holding the Interplanetary belt. Sniper is also ahead with her ladies belt reign which stopped at 85 cards. Johnny Rocket is gutted as he was eyeing reaching 100 but at the same time pleased for Titan Attack and says “if anyone had to beat us then I’m glad it’s them, they deserve it”. The recent appearances of Murdok have been few and far between. However his spectre remains and he will be back at THE MEGA SHOW. Teaming with Mandrill to face Corporal Aegis and Max Shield. It will be a special match that I haven’t yet decided on. Mandrill is doing some bragging about how they will win and then move onto beating “those Ravager cockroaches”. Max is gearing up and warns Mandrill not to be too confident “those two cannot work together, they are too self centred and power hungry, that will be their undoing. Corporal Aegis is one in a million and the bond we’ve forged will see us through”. Lance At-Las doesn’t take long to celebrate his hugely popular Centra belt victory. He publicly warns Commando Sam to leave him alone. He says “I feel like a fugitive trying to get away. Sam keeps calling me asking me to return to the FDF. He even described me as a traitor if I don’t come back. I just want to do my own thing at the moment. That team environment is a bit toxic”. I guess Sam’s failure to lure Bloodline and the lack of team success has a lot to do with this. Lance now has a belt and his experience is vital and Sam knows this. He better be careful as Sam could lose a friend forever if he doesn’t let up. Not everyone is so critical of Sam though. In his response to this Archon declares his unwavering support for Sam “I like his style and fighting for worthy causes, thank you for opening my eyes. Before Sam I was too rigid and square. I now know that it is okay to fight fire with fire. In fact I really enjoy cutting loose and getting hardcore”.
Speaking of Bloodline. He is trying use his recent win over Paragon as a bargaining tool for a big push. Thantos still doesn’t think he is ready for the Heavyweight belt but agrees he does deserve more than he’s getting. He slaps in a request at the Commissioners office for Bloodline to be given a shot at the Centra belt (now held by Lance At-Last) which after some consideration Morpheus responds with a partial agreement. Basically saying that Bloodline must beat the current champ, Lance, in a non-title match first. If he wins that then he get a title shot otherwise it goes to Draconian Sheik.
Still a way to go before the end of the year awards but am thinking of adding a new category for worst manager. It just crossed my mind when I was thinking about how all the teams have done this year. I looked at the Great Comeback and thought it’s been anything but that. It’s quite a stacked quartet on paper. However Pegasus has failed in almost everything he’s done despite things being laid out for him. The Ninja Assassins have been okay, nothing special though and Euritar got wasted by the Code Enforcer and then went AWOL for a while. So surely that makes Reynard B. Guile the ideal candidate for this unwanted award 😆. Surely manager of the year has to be reserved for Lord Nexus barring a disastrous collapse. He has masterminded a glorious period for the Fighting Titans where they’ve won the tag belts and also the OTB singles bracket. INJURED – none; SUSPENDED – none
WRESTLER OF THE MONTH:
NORA PELF - I was going to give this to Lance At-Las for his incredible rise in popularity and ability to capture a belt which I thought was beyond him. However, how can you ignore what Nora did to Rouser? To win a match in 4 seconds which was the fastest ever. Add to the fact it was revenge and she is a woman wrestling a man (ignoring the fact he is puny) made it a month to remember for her.
TAG TEAM OF THE MONTH:
TITAN ATTACK - It would have been a travesty if Titan Attack failed to capture the belts again at some point. They have been so good for the last couple of years and unlucky that Twin Blood has just seemed untouchable. Finally they managed to beat them after a brilliant effort. Hopefully they can now go onto to have a memorable reign. Nothing less than they deserve.

CARD 1189 – TERRONAUT TOWERS:
Ninja Assassins overcome Titan Attack by DQ in a non-title match. In typical Titan manner they continue to wrestle their rivals even though they are tag champions. Many champions save themselves purely for title matches or wrestle reduced schedules. Not Titan Attack though. Their opponents, the Ninja Assassins, have a great history but are now being managed by Reynard B. Guile. Some would say mismanaged. Regardless B. Guile will see nicking a win here as a possible path to gold. Something he craves. He thought signing a legend like Pegasus and also a talent like Euritar would have guaranteed that. Although they have been a disaster so far. Anyway onto this match. The Titans are very focused and doing their usual warm up exercises under supervision of Lord Nexus as they await the Ninjas. Meanwhile B. Guile comes out early and on his own. He explains that the Ninjas are unwell and cannot wrestle. The two Titans are suspicious and accuse him of lying. Of course he is. With everyone distracted and focused on him the Ninjas come from within the crowd and assault the Titans with kendo sticks from behind to steal an early advantage. With the element of surprise on their side the Ninjas are able to dominate at the start. It takes a while for the Titans to get going as a result. Then just as they are settling into a rhythm the Ninjas become the major benefactors of a ref bump as Ursa Major accidentally collides. The ref took a few moves to recover and when he does decides to disqualify Ursa Major. Totally unwarranted. Frustrating for the Titans but Lord Nexus is too nice for his own good sometimes. Refused to criticise the official and simply said the Titans were sailing too close to the wind and that’s why they had to suffer the DQ decision. Didn’t even mention the sneak attack before the bell going unpunished. It’s hard to take for the Titans though. They have such high morals drilled into them that any DQ outcome against them brings about a certain degree of shame.
Bloodline defeated Lance At-Las by count-out in a non-title match. If Bloodline wants a shot at the Centra belt he has got to win this. He’d prefer to be setting his sights higher although he is respecting Thantos who says he’s not quite ready. In the background Commando Sam still hasn’t quite given up on trying to get Bloodline over to the FDF with promises of a Heavyweight belt push. Bloodline refuses to be turned. It seems a fruitless pursuit from Sam and he should focus on his team. The guy is a bit cuckoo. If he was watching he’d would have been impressed by Bloodline. A very mature performance. Did as much as he needed to do and prevailing by count-out to leapfrog Draconian Sheik into the top contender spot. It was a no win situation anyway for Lance. He was getting a tough challenger no matter what happened here. There might have been some controversy in the way it ended. Lance was tossed out the ring and the cameras didn’t quite catch it but Thantos is said to of stamped on his head to ensure he wasn’t beating the count back.
Rising Sun shows his class to beat Vyper. Rising is unlucky not to be in the championship picture at the moment. His OTB success took him close only to lose to Vengeance. Winning here can repair a lot of that damage though. Takes nothing for granted against Vyper. A dangerous opponent in his own right. Even more dangerous when paired with the unpredictable Terrorists. As was usual for Vyper he was draped in snakes of various shapes and sizes. Wearing them like a suit. Slowly he removes them and bags them up. Well not quite all of them. One slithered away and coiled itself around one of the ring ropes. Vyper liked the intimidation it was causing and seeing as nobody had the balls to remove it the snake stayed there for the match. Luckily Rising didn’t miss a beat because of it and he made sure to avoid using that set of ropes. Rising’s dominance was almost derailed by one of the Terrorists striking him with a billy club. He was able to reassert himself after a few minutes and pinned Vyper after a waistlock suplex. After such a strong year so far Rising will be among the candidates for wrestler of the year. Tocsin over Tortured Soul by DQ. Between these two it makes for quite a smelly ring. The flies are having a field day. It was quite funny to see even Tortured Soul momentarily take a step back on getting too close to Tocsin’s breath. Wasn’t much of a match. After only a few moves they began to brawl outside and Tortured Soul used his sword (mercifully still in its sheath) and got disqualified for the act.
Dreggs gets the better of Mace. Ex partners renew their rivalry. With Twin Blood finally relieved of their tag titles maybe the Twin Blood-Disorder X rivalry will gather momentum again. Dreggs is superior in this meeting. Despite being clocked with a foreign object given to Mace by Thantos he was able to recover. Mace accumulated several fatigue tokens before eventually falling to TWIST AND SHOUT. Dreggs later says “no chance Disorder X are going to get the better of us, we are superior as a team and also one-on-one as shown tonight”. Mace bites back “lucky win and one-on-one means nothing, as a team we will crush you. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.
Team With No Name beat Desolation Factor in an upset. Desolation Factor has been on a very strong run. Apart from a loss to Twin Blood at OTB they’ve mown down the opposition in the past few months. However all the old inconsistency is back as they lose to the zany Mad Jesters. Ruin got caught in A DEAD MAN’S VERSE. Commando Sam’s desperate distraction failed as the original Mad Jester squirted ketchup in his face as he tried to go under the ropes.

CARD 1190 – RUINS OF ANTILIA:
Bloodline easily defeats Lance At-Las to become new Centra champ. Lance is determined to keep hold of the belt as he recognises once lost it’ll be very tough to ever get back in a position to win it. He does age very slowly but even he can’t hold off the hands of time forever. Whoever he was facing would have been extremely tough. It turned out to be Bloodline again. Unfortunately Bloodline ensures Lance’s run with the belt is an extremely short one. Much like Lance’s previous reign with Interplanetary belt (as it was known) over 15 years ago he didn’t even manage one successful defence meaning he won’t be part of its lineage. Bloodline just took complete control from the opening bell. By the time he won it barely a couple of minutes later he’d already put Lance in CETUS MASTERLOCK (the winning hold) three times and also used BLOODLINE’S BIG BANG (+3) to give a flavour of how one-sided this was. As Bloodline took possession of the belt you couldn’t help but think that this is the start of greater things to come in the future. Even though he lacks experience it is very clear he has that all round ability much like Thantos and Star Warrior. Very few weaknesses. Ladies champ, Anaxis, barely breaks sweat against Nora Pelf. Nora is on the crest of a wave after what she did to Rouser. Could she bring that confidence into this title shot? She’s the big underdog. Plus there is plenty of past heat between these two. Who can forget those infamous hair versus hair and slave matches? Anaxis might of wished one of those stipulations were also applied as she completely bosses this. Bringing Nora back to down to earth with a bump. Anaxis had her beat in less than 10 moves with CALL OF THE SIREN getting the win. Rebel Empire fortunate to defeat the Ramparts. Corporal Aegis building towards THE MEGA SHOW. It’s a big month for the ROC team. Here he teams with Warfare and they simply call themselves the Ramparts. It’s also a big match for Rebel Empire after having in Nefarus’s own words “a crap OTB”. Rebel Empire did manage to atone for that here as they take care of Warfare via EMPIRE TRIUMPHANT. They are somewhat fortunate though as before that Corporal Aegis had knocked Nefarus silly and used CORPORAL PUNISHMENT against him 3 times. There always some annoying twist preventing him attempting to get a pin off the back of them. It was an encouraging performance for the ROC team but they are still badly in need of wins.
Wolf in top form as he defeated Dark Justice. Wolf’s pattern still all over the place. Wrestling heroes and villains in equal measure. Nobody is ever going to truly work this guy out. Justice isn’t complaining. It’s another big match and a chance of a huge scalp. He failed miserably at the hands of the Code Enforcer last month but that will soon be forgotten if he pulls this off. Apparently Krakan has been applying some pressure on him to improve and it doesn’t help that Mike Fortune has been in Krakan’s ear about a bigger role whilst calling Justice “old and frail”. Justice plays into Fortune’s words with another loss. Although he mustered a bit more fight than in his last match. Not that he ever really threatened to win himself. Wolf had a few goes with SAVAGE FACE CLAW during the duration. Third time’s a charm as it finally yields the submission. Justice just couldn’t take it anymore.
Disorder X blow away Theatre of Pain. With a recent win over the Gladiators maybe all is not lost for Disorder X. They may not like each other but sometimes that doesn’t matter. Take Wolf and Blazing Skull as an example. You cannot tell me that they are buddies. Yet they’ve been teaming together occasionally (mainly dark shows). The appearance of Thantos at ringside is telling. He hasn’t been doing so for many months. A sign he’d given up on them. However tonight he is back. He didn’t need to do anything here as Disorder X coasted. Back to being a well oiled machine with Mace putting the finishing touches via MACE’S LITTLE HELPER on Comedy. It’s actually gone slightly under the radar due to their problems but Disorder X actually has a great record in 2111 (at least on TV) because they have won all their matches apart from a losing title challenge to Twin Blood just weeks after beating them in a non-title match.
Ursa Major over Mutant by DQ. Mutant is ravenous. Been feeding on just morsels for the last week. Krakan says that it makes it more dangerous. DM on commentary disagrees “I feel sorry for Mutant even though it played a big part in injuring my face all those years ago. It doesn’t know what it is doing. Starving it is cruel”. He probably won’t be sympathetic next week through as this is serving as a teaser for the Titan Attack-Society of Death title match. If this is anything to go by it won’t end cleanly. Ursa Major dealt with the wild Mutant well enough and probably given enough time would have pinned it. Trouble was Mutant, as so often does, lost control. Driven crazy by the sight of flesh and trying to bite the referee. Good job he was one of the more athletic ones and managed to get away and leave security to deal with the situation.

CARD 1191 – CENTRA PALLADIUM:
Tag champs, Titan Attack, defeated Society of Death by DQ. Proud moment for Titan Attack. Their first title defence. As has been written before they have held the belts many years ago. However it is controversially omitted from the official lineage as they failed to navigate one successful title defence. They are keen to make sure this reign wouldn’t go the same way. Although they are hot favourites to win their long rivalry with Society of Death meant this had potential for a twist and it nearly did. The Titans were brilliant and laid absolute siege to Mutant. It was only a matter of time. However just as they looked set to finish it off for good a wild brawl instigated by Splatter broke out amid which Scion Nexus got slugged with MEET ARSENAL. He was knocked out and Splatter jumped on him for a pin. He slapped the mat himself three times after which the bell sounded. Worried fans thought that was it and the ref had just let him do his own count. Krakan had even helped himself to the belts off the announcer’s table. Suddenly the official announcement brought relief as it was declared that Society of Death had been disqualified. On hearing this Ursa Major and Lord Nexus set about getting their belts back off Krakan. As he tried to head up the runway Ursa Major caught him with a body press from behind. He then picked himself up to deal with the onrushing Splatter via a drop kick. Lord Nexus did his part too by taking Mutant out of things by grabbing a doughnut off a fan and throwing it. Don’t worry as he bought the fan a whole bag of doughnuts and lots of merchandise later on as a thank you. By the time Splatter and Krakan had picked themselves back up they were unable to seek retribution as security had moved in to restrain them. Murdok evens up the score against Corporal Aegis in a Hydra Lumberjack match. Hell of a booking. Done to whet the appetites ahead of THE MEGA SHOW. It was also a GALACTICON rematch. This time Mandrill is among the lumberjacks having thought himself above such a role previously. Once the lumberjacks are in place several security stand between them on each side to prevent them going to war on the outside. Although Aegis fights valiantly it is clear Murdok was getting the better of things this time around. His Head Spear Takedown move causing Aegis all sorts of problems. It was after this move that Murdok tossed Aegis to the wolves outside. With all the security in place to keep the two sides apart there was nothing Aegis’s lumberjacks could do. Aegis was violently beaten and then thrown back in after Mandrill used COLONIZER CLAW SLAM. Murdok looked satisfied with the number his new minions had done on Aegis and moved in for a cover. As the pin rating of Aegis was still quite low I held back on rolling for wrestling interference. A huge mistake as Aegis couldn’t respond and lost the match. Once Aegis recovered Max Shield suggested that the team deals with security so they can engage the Colonizers to show they won’t be pushed around. Aegis convinces him that would not be a good move “we have to take it on the chin, we may of lost this battle but there will be many others in this war”. Mandrill did plenty of bragging in the aftermath and was taking credit for Murdok’s victory “I did most of the damage so Murdok should be thanking me. Last time he didn’t have me as a lumberjack which is why he lost”. Bloodline against Paragon ends in double DQ in a non-title match. Bloodline is suddenly a really big deal. Now holding the Centra belt and getting a decent run of big matches. Likewise for Paragon who could quite easily of been the Heavyweight champion coming into this. Both guys looked up for it. They were throwing out the rulebook and serving up a great match. That was until the Gladiators cause intimidation as Brute and Thunder show up in the runway to watch Paragon closely. Thantos notices them first and looks cheesed off by their intrusion. At least he knows Bloodline is safe. When Johnny Rocket realises he warns Paragon to watch his back. Paragon breaks off to confront them only for Thantos to intercept and dish out a Satanic Skull Smasher. It’s at this point the Gladiators decide they’ve seen enough and leave. Paragon just about beats the count back. Thantos was getting way too involved in the contest and when he enters the to stop Bloodline losing to FINAL OVERTURE the ref ejects him from ringside or else a DQ will get called. The fans cheer as Thantos eventually gives in and departs. Back in the ring the brilliant contest continues. Bloodline responds to Thantos saving him with his best period in the match and comes close to pinning Paragon numerous times. Although he wasn’t without his hairy moments himself. Both started to bleed as the tokens racked up. Such a great contest deserved an outright winner but eventually things spilled outside and stayed outside. As chairs got introduced the ref could not let it go any longer and rules a double DQ. This was so good that surely a rematch on TV is needed before the year is out. For now though both move onto bigger things with a Centra title to defend for Bloodline and Paragon attempting to win the big one in the next show.
Twin Blood annihilated Cygnus Strikeforce. No licking of wounds for Twin Blood after losing their tag titles. Straight back on the saddle. Johnny Rocket has engaged in friendly banter with Lord Nexus by saying “don’t get too attached to those belts”. They do have to prove themselves again though. The request of an immediate rematch, given their recent OTB triumph and ultra long reign, was pooh-poohed by Commissioner Morpheus with a “earn your shot” response. It won’t have been lost on them that their chief feud rivals Disorder X are gathering momentum and are actually closer to getting a title shot than they are. However they do their chances of getting back to the top quickly no harm by squashing Cygnus Strikeforce in under 10 moves. They might even of had it finished quicker after TWICE BITTEN comes close. Just a few moves later and Dreggs was pinning Maelstrom (who never got out the ring) after a Maxus Moonsault.
Prodigy beat his old buddy Skinhead. Not had these two ex partners square off for a while. Prodigy has only wrestled sporadically this year on TV so I need to try and book him more. He’s still a wrestler that oozes class. As for Skinhead, he may have been displaced as the main man of the Rocketmen but he’s been doing a pretty good job of late. However he looks a bit off here. The rigours of a hard year finally catching up with him perhaps (plus maybe some drinking to excess). Prodigy easily deals with his early wave of offence and picks an opportune moment. Before Skinhead knew what was happening he was in THE PERFECT SINGLES FINISHER and cursing a loss to the guy he detests losing to most of all.
Supernova overcame Maxine Babe. Another match for Supernova to build up her ranking. She looks a little stressed after crossing paths with Bloodline backstage. Of course she knows he’s lying but when he tells her that word has been received from Dimension K that Omega has died it causes her such distress that he could be so cruel. Thankfully she recovers emotionally enough to win here. Aside from a brief rocky spell after missing a deathjump she was largely dominating. Her exciting SPEED OF LIGHT finisher spelt the end for Maxine Babe.
